We sometimes get a small box of those chocs as a treat, as they are lovely, but our problem is putting on weight so neither of us wants too many, also bearing in mind BP,arrhythmia, of course PC, which thrives on sugar! and teeth!! So I think flowers will be our Easter present!

Mel I woke up at 2.30am and never went back to sleep this morning! I keep yawning now but need to do some dusting in the lounge soon.
Yes, OH had to wait for an appointment for his MRI scan. I think you can just pop in without an appointment for xrays though. Liz you are right, that mummy prog would have been right up my street! lol I seem to be missing allsorts at the moment. I'll have to see if I can find it on the player. I envy your son the bit of land he's buying. I have often said to OH I would like a little copse or spinney and am always pointing out suitable little clumps of trees when I see them! I'd have bluebells and snowdrops and a bark chip path and lots of bird boxes and a small wildlife pond..
The biggest lorry with a long trailer on the back has just reversed down the close. I don't know how he got it down here with all the bends and cars parked. :-0

Afternoon all,
A much better day here today ,started off quite over cast and then the sun came out ,it would be was quite warm if you could just get out of the wind .
Hair cut day today so i'am all nice and tidy for another six weeks .
So if Max goes missing i'll know where to look then Frank ;-) :-D That sounds a nice lounger Ros has treated you too with all mod cons :-D as you say roll on the summer for some nice sun. So you have the birds eyeing up your boxes now too then Frank and taking the basket linings ,ours have been coming and going all day ,such a lot of work they put into building their nests .
That was nice Mel having the chocolates from OH ,do you get him some thing for Easter ? I have the eggs for the little ones Easter Egg Hunt ,they do so love going round the garden collecting the eggs .
How did you get on at the doctors Jane ?
Gill Max is about a month old so we have about another month to go before we have him home , we carn't wait now after seeing him yesterday ,we bought another squeaky toy for him today .

I bet Max will have more toys than "TOYSRUS" a month will oon go by Mandy, then it will be don't do that MAX. Naughty boy Max,put that down Max, come here or go there Max, you won't know if you are standing onyour head or your elbow. ;-) ;-)
Liz, you and Ian have certainly been a lot busier than me in the garden. I still have my veg patch to get cleared and rotavated. Let alone all the other jobs that need doing. I normally start my runner beans off in April into pots, and they go out at about nine inches. Ros has bought loads od seeds, that I will sort out into planting times and size some I will sow into the patch, others into trays and pots, and transplant when ready. It will all depend on this B####y knee
Talking of which I had better ring the MRI DEPT. to see if I can JUST go in or if I have to make an appointment.
I see Kim is posting on FB so I know she's allright. I must mention to her when I next she her post, that we are all thinking of her. Shirl is also about sometimes. It doesn't look like she has Genes sorted yet.
When I was up a lot the other night I had a chocolate rush. I cleared about 5 Thorntons and 4 Ferrero Rocher. Thats the first I have had for ages.
Going to put things on for dinner.

So you like the Ferrero Rocher too Frank occasionally.
What Gill up to today??
I have had a sweep up in the banty run and put the big chicken back in the house after her time outside in the sun. Trouble is one of the other old ones who is the leader of the pack keeps having a go at her so I can't just leave her out on the grass to have a nibble of that which they all like.
Frank you should ring and find out about the MRI scan as I am sure you have to book them.
Ann hope you sleep better tonight after last nights early wake up.

I think Frank that you'll find that it's an X-Ray that you can just turn up to. MRI's are usually for a full body scan and are appointment only. I'd check it out and then you'll know what your about. Ian's cooking supper :-D Were having chicken in white sauce, mushrooms and brown rice. I can't remember what channel the mummy programme was on Ann, but I think it was a history one on sky. We'd recorded it, but of course it got deleted after we'd watched it!!!

Evening All Just a quick post from me as I have just got back from the Drs...I have a presciption for Vit D for 12 weeks and being referred to Rheumatology .(but GP isn't convinced I actually need that.
Frank, are you sure it is MRI you are having? I am pretty sure you can't just turn up for that.I know you can just drop in for X-rays.
Right I better get a move on now and get dinner in.I will read all the posts from today later.

Evening All
Mandy, Max is so adorable, I can understand the temptation to keep buying him toys etc. Amy still plays with her squeaky toys if she is in the mood.
I have rang my SIL 3 times today to see how Emma is but haven't been able to get an answer, I know she looks after 2 of her granddaughter s a couple of times a week in their own home, don't like to ring her mobile in case she is driving
Watched the last episode of Happy Valley yesterday evening it wasn't quite so much of a suspense as I thought it would be. I don't watch any of the soaps anymore apart from Doctors at 1.45 when I eat my lunch.
Frank, I thought it was strange that you would be able to get an MRI scan with no appointment, both myself and Peter had these but were given a date to attend
Jane I expect you were pleased about getting the results for your blood tests was it what you expected?
I love chocolate but being diabetic I have to ration myself and then I only can eat plain, I don't eat sugar free because it can be like a laxative if you over indulge :-( :-(.
No Gill today, hope she is ok

Evening all,
Not much of interest on T.V. so have sent some bits to you, and looked around ebay.
I will try "GRANTCHESTER" later, but I think Robson Green is not the right person for the part. (my opinion)
It has turned cold again tonight, even though I have taken my T shirt off, that's because of the heating.
Leek pie was great tonight, I could have eaten it twice over (PIG). Will have a snack before going to bed.
Thanks all for the advice. I WILL RING IN THE MORNING before setting off.!!

Morning lazy bones, Evening Kim.
I have rung the Hospital, and I am NOT having an MRI. so will go in a sit and wait for an X RAY.
Paddy in the village will be dressed as a LEPRECHAUN all day today. I am sure he will be well "OILED" by the time the days over.
Looks a nice day out there this morning. I will just put a jumper on to thr hospital. Less to take off, and those places are so hot.
Ros has a couple of things to take back to shops this morning as well. So I will sit in the car. It's then on to Lidl, they have Legs of Lamb on offer this morning, and with Harvey and Family coming on Sunday, that will do fine. Lewis will be pick up by Ros Saturday afternoon, so he can have a night with us. <3 <3
Madam is almost ready to go, so I will see you later.

Morning All,
Lazybones indeed Frank.......you cheeky bounder! :-) It's a good job you checked and found it was an xray you needed. That shouldn't take long to be done. The legs of lamb from Lidl sound good, you'll have to let us know if they are.
More HW for me next after the washer is on, the lounge diner and settees to dust. OH will tidy the dining table as he uses that for doing his notes etc. He said he will hoover through everywhere tomorrow while I'm out at class. Then I'm off to get my car cleaned as it's really dirty now. OH has gone to take more papers to the solicitor and gone to close FIL's building society account this morning and will meet me for lunch again.
I see Paul Daniels has died. I wasn't a fan of his, but he was always cheerful and his magic was good, but it is such a shame and so sad for his wife. They always seemed an unlikely couple, yet have always been a very devoted couple.

Morning all and evening Kim,
Ann I saw about Paul Daniels when I turned the pc on this morning but Frank Sinartra Junior has also died. I never liked Paul Daniels like you but as you say they seemed a devoted couple and I think he had been ill for quite a while.
Lovely sunny day here again but the winds still in a funny direstion for the boiler as I had to turn it off because I could smell the oil fumes in the kitchen.
Hope you get on ok with your X-Ray Frank and select a nice leg of lamb for Sunday. You will enjoy having Lewis for the weekend. He will soon start pulling your leg!! :-D

Afternoon all
Lovely and sunny here, so I've been sitting outside enjoying the sun while having my cuppa. I didn't wake up till 10.30am and couldn't believe the time, I don't think I've ever slept in that late........ must of needed it :-) :-)
Hope all goes okay with your X Ray today Frank. I saw the advert for the lamb at Lidl unfortunately we don't have one near us, shame really as I love lamb and it's not cheap....normally. Maybe Iceland will have it on offer, I'll take a look on Friday when OH is off work again. It didn't take his job long to ask him to do overtime, they asked him on his first day back and he's been in everyday since, they wanted him to work on Friday as well but he said no otherwise he'd be working every day this week.......the tax man would love that ;-) ;-)
I'm hoping the good weather keeps up so OH can finish emptying the garage, we're hoping to take it down this year. I spent yesterday moving Sandra's bedroom furniture around to see if it was possible to pinch a bit of the room to make the bathroom bigger and it can be done, so that's good. The bathroom floor needs replacing so we thought we might as well make it bigger as the whole bathroom needs taking out for the floor to be replaced, then when the wall has been moved over we should be able to move the bath around and have a better layout in there with more floor space. Sandra will have to stay at mum's for a couple of days as we won't have a toilet, not sure what OH and I will do about that, might have to get a porta loo :-S :-S
I've been thinking about the extension and think it might be a bit to expensive. There is a ceiling price for this street so if the extension takes us over that price, if we do ever want to sell in the future we wouldn't get our money back, so now I'm thinking of knocking through the living room and dining room and put a kitchen in the dining room area, not only would it be cheaper, the layout would be better too. Might have to get that done next year though, with having the bathroom and garden done this year. Wish I could find a big pile of cash under my bed like you Frank ;-) ;-) :-D :-D that would certainly come in handy right now LOL.
I'm going to have to ask OH to get a humane mouse trap off our neighbour later, as I noticed a tiny mouse running around the patio this morning. We borrowed one off him a few years ago and managed to catch one which OH let lose in a field not far from here. I could do with your Thomas at the moment Jane :-D :-D
I bet you can't wait for little Max and will be counting the days until he's home with you Mandy. He looked so tiny sitting in the palm of your hand. Sandra thought he was lovely and can't wait to hear all about him <3
So you did need vitamin D in the end then Jane, you thought that's what you might need? Hope your appointment goes well for you. I doubt there's anything to worry about if your GP doesn't think you really need to go. I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry which is probably why he's sending you. Good luck.
So you've been given some chocolates for Easter Mel, mind you it sounds as if you won't have any left by then LOL. I don't blame you for eating them early those chocs are really nice. I don't know if you're interested Mel, but David Coulthard is on channel 4 tonight at 9pm. OH and I will be watching it and the F1 starts on channel 4 this weekend too. Poor OH has to work, but I'm looking forward to it, I'm going to record it for OH to watch when he gets in from work.
OH had to fix our gate when he got in from work last night and tighten up the Sky dish as I was losing my signal. I could hear a gate banging all day and thought it was next door, until Sandra said at 8pm last night, the security light had come on down the side of the bungalow. I went outside and noticed our side gate was open, but when I went to close it, it wasn't lining up properly so kept opening again. OH has fixed it now, the screws fixing it to the wall had come lose and the lock wasn't lining up properly. We have a key lock on the gate so no one can just walk through it when we're out. I couldn't bolt it from the inside as OH wouldn't of been able to open it to put the car away and he was due home from work, so I had to ring him to let him know. I don't like the gate open when OH is in work and it's dark, with it just being Sandra and I here, you never know who might just walk in.
Has anyone been watching Big Stars Little Stars on ITV 8pm on Wednesdays? Sandra was watching it last night and while I was outside I could hear her laughing, she loves it, bless her <3
Going to get something to eat now, then catch up with some programmes I've recorded, I'm starting to run out of space on my planner again. It does fill up quickly, sometimes I can't keep up :-)

Gill you should really find out what walls in the house are for the main structure before deciding which ones you are going to move or take out. There will be load bareing ones that you just can't move.
Going to do lunch now as I have to go to Mole Valley this afternoon for woodshavings and corn. I think the pheasents eat more than my chickens and banties at the moment.

Yes Gill do be careful before you start taking internal walls down as they could be load bearing , and you would need to put in an R.S.J or a very heavy beam for support.. Also Gill you might well need building regs to do this work. You do need to check! You may also need B.Regs to move your garage. We've looked into moving our field shelter to a different position, and if we decide to go ahead we will need building regs as its a permanent building. Also Gill do check that asbestos. You'd have to have it professionally removed as nowhere but a designated place will accept it as refuse as it is so dangerous. So do check everything out Gill, as hicups can be so expensive! We've had a right old do with Ian's computer! He was working offline yesterday, and the blasted thing wouldn't change back!!! What with that and BT not accepting his password, he went to bed in a right old tis!! However, after hours of chatting with this one and that, from BT to Outlook, all is now well again. What a performance!! Hope your Xray went without a hitch Frank., and that everyone is ok.

What a to do with Ian's computer Liz, glad to hear all is back to normal now :-) :-) :-)
It sounds like the pheasants are enjoying the corn Mel. I've just tried feeding one of the squirrels that come into our garden, but because I noticed a mouse on the patio this morning I thought I'd put the nuts further down the garden and the poor squirrel kept looking at me as if to say "Where are they?" with them not being in there usual place. I went out to try and show the squirrel where I'd put the nuts, but she ran away. I've now moved them again further down the garden on the grass, hopefully she'll find them later, if not, I'm sure one of the other squirrels will find them instead.
I'm going to get a builder in to do the work so he'll know all about regulations and which walls are load bearing. I think the one between the bathroom and bedroom should be okay to take down but we will need building regs to put a new one up. As for the other one it's more than likely going to need an RSJ putting in.
I didn't realise that I'd need Building Regulations to move the garage, so will have to look into that, unless we take it down and get rid of it. I assume I won't need any permission to just take it down? The roof I wouldn't touch myself, it's far to dangerous, so I will be ringing the council to get someone in who knows what they are doing. You can't be to careful where asbestos is concerned can you?
So lots to think about and sort out before anything can actually be done. We need to empty the garage before we do anything else and buy a new shed to house all the gardening tools and lawn mower, so that should keep us busy for a week or two as we'll have to do the work around OH's shifts.
I got a phone call yesterday off Warm Front asking if we'd like free loft insulations, so of course I said yes, they are ringing me back on Monday as I don't have OH's new shifts to book in an appointment for the surveyor to come and take a look yet. I don't like strangers coming here when it's just Sandra and I, so prefer OH to be here too.
