No weather improvement here, still overcast and drab.
I had My mate on toast for breakfast, which gave me indigestion. I had smoked salmon for lunch.I am doing Ros a Sirloin Steak with all the trimmings tonight.. I am having the casserole reheated, and I have added a couple of sausages. So that's us all sorted.
Gill my mouse is a wireless mouse, nothing underneath it. It just sits on my mat.
I am sure if you look in yellow pages you will find a builder who is free to come and quote you for your plans, even though he might not be able to start at once. You will need to get a few quotes, and you should be sure what you want, as adding bits and pieces as you go along will add greatly to the cost. So be sure to sit down with your OH and make a detailed plan of exactly what you want doing, and ask the builders to quote for each one, that way you will know what you can afford right from the start. SORRY I HAVE MY UNCLE FRANK HAT ON TODAY.
;-) ;-) ;-) <3 <3 <3 <3
Where is everyone today. I will be thinking of you tomorrow Annx, Lets hope the rain stays away. there is nothing worse for a funeral.

Afternoon All,
It's dull here too and has been all morning. I went to the dentist in good time for my 8.40am appointment and was told to sit and fill details on a form in in the waiting room as their computers were down! Well people kept coming and going and soon I'd been there 45 minutes and was thinking I'd better tell them I couldn't wait any longer!! The girl then came and asked my name as she thought I'd been waiting a long time too!! :-S Well, it seemed they'd forgotten me.......so much for getting an early appointment so I'd be done quick!! My current dentist who is a lovely, smiley West Indian chap was so full of apologies and said the staff were obviously distracted by the computer problems.
I think some rain is likely around here tomorrow Frank. :-S

Ros has just left with Carolyn to go and see John. She had walked round to us. When she came in she started to cry. I put my arms around her and let her have a little cry, then she seemed alright. I don't think she has got over her operation on her hand and feels a bit under the weather. She now has to look after John when he gets home, which she expects will be before the weekend.
Oh Ann, What a thing to happen, how on earth can they forget a patient when they have already booked you in !!!! How long did you end up being in there ??? Would you like me to have a look for you or would OH do it for you ?? Mel, I think I got those strawberry stacks from ebay.
I have left the above just as it is. The Mel bit should be above Would you like etc. How and why it does that I just don't know.
Has anyone heard anymore from Fiona ?? She will have the children home for Easter this weekend. I know she always like to have them. I just hope she feels well enough to have them, if her head is still playing her up
I expect you will be busy with your brood Mandy. Have you any plans for them during the Easter Holidays.?
As I said wh ave to pick Lewis up after his driving lesson on Friday . Ros will take him to his little job Saturday morning and collect him Saturday afternoon about 4.30. He will stay with us until Monday, when she will take him home again. So she will be doing a few miles over the weekend. SHOULD I CHARGE HIM PETROL MONEY ??
;-) ;-) ;-) <3 <3 <3 <3 I am only JOKING HONESTLEY

Evening all ,
It's been quite cloudy here all day ,we have been out in the garden painting the new fence panels ,then son should come on saturday to take the old ones down and put the new ones up ,weather permitting .
Frank do the batteries need changing in your mouse ? i had one and the cursor kept jumping but it was ok after putting in the new batteries . I should think John would have got told off for dangling his legs over the edge of the bed the silly man only had his op the day before what was he thinking ,if some thing goes wrong he'll be the first to complain !!
Oh Jane i bet you were worried when Thomas didn't turn up as he usually does ,that's the trouble with cats they just have a mind of their own ,glad he turned up in the end .
Gill it must have been nice to see the owl , i wonder if it came for the mouse :-0 you said you hadn't seen it so may be the owl has had it .
Ann ,i hope all goes well tomorrow ,i'll be thinking of you <3 What a wait you had at the dentist .
I see Mel has been playing her her play house :-D what have you been making then Mel ?

Ann,that was pretty bad making you wait all that time and actually forgetting you were there :-S :-S :-S..I would have been pretty miffed . I hope all goes well tomorrow for FIL's funeral.I think the rain is not due until much later so it should be dry for you.No doubt you will both be having an early night tonight. I will be thinking of you in the morning.
Poor Caroline Frank. it's not unusual to have a few tears after an op.But then she has John to cope with too when he comes home.Maybe it all just got a little bit much. He better do as he is told with his knee.If he doesn't it won't make things any easier for Caroline....Take note Frank :-D :-D..if you have to have an op on your knee DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD and no arguing :-D :-D..I have my Bossy Jane Hat on ;-)
Gill that was lucky to see the Owl :-D..I hear them around here at the moment but have been unable to spot them.
Mandy I can't tell how relieved I was when Thomas turned up yesterday.I was imagining all sorts of bad things. He hasn't been far from home today as he has just been very sleepy. But I have just put him out now.He wasn't impressed He just better be back by 10 at the very latest. I spotted him having a poo in one of our flower beds today !!!!.Haven't told Chris LOL
Got the Plumber coming in the morning(again)..We still have a problem with the overflow from the Hot Water Cylinder.
:-S
Dinner ready now :-D

Oh Frank I'm glad you explained.......I thought you were saying you and OH should have a look and do my dental checkup!! :-0 :-0 I wouldn't let OH anywhere near me with a pair of pliers!! At least nothing needed doing so that was good. :-D Poor Carolyn would have appreciated a hug, she's been through quite a lot recently so no wonder she was teary. Fancy John not doing as he was told!!
Thank you for thinking of us tomorrow. I just checked and it looks as if the rain might not be till midday which is later as you say Jane. I've decided to wear the same as at MIL's funeral as I was comfy in what I put on for her's. They will both have been treated the same then! lol. I shall be glad when it's over now. The service will be nice and it will be good to hear OH do the eulogy as he's good at things like that and usually manages to inject a little tasteful humour into proceedings.
Mandy, do you have to find new hiding places each year for the easter egg hunt? What colour have you been painting the fence? It always looks good when you get a coat of fresh paint on.
Mel, I wonder what you have been making this time?.........more pompoms involved??
Gill, those were wise words from Frank about having clear plans for the builder. ;-)
Off to do my nails and then to bed now...........back tomorrow afternoon I expect.

Mel, we have the strawberries in pots in the greenhouse, so the birds don't get to them before Sandra does. We've got a metal stacking shelf type of thing with wire mesh shelves, four shelves in total, so as we water the top pots it waters the ones underneath, the water then falls to the floor and goes out under the greenhouse. It works for us and being in a greenhouse the strawberries ripen quicker with the sun. Sandra gets quite a few strawberries every day throughout the summer. Yes, what are you making this time Mel?
Maybe it is the batteries then Frank like Mandy said, so if you change them it might solve your problem. Poor Carolyn, I hope she's feeling a bit better now. Good advice on getting our plans right before we speak to a builder. A few of our rooms needs insulating which I can do myself, it'll keep me busy while OH is in work, so that's something that can be done while I'm waiting.
Sandra said she still wants a big bedroom so now I might make the dining room into her new bedroom, it's one of the rooms that needs insulating so once I've done that I can then start making some curtains and bedding and she can pick some nice wallpaper so I can decorate the room for her. I can always move the kitchen units around in the original kitchen to make a bit more space in there. By using the dining room as Sandra new bedroom she'll get the room she wants. Everything else can wait until a builder is free to do the work. So long as it isn't to long as the bathroom floor really needs doing ASAP.
OH was thinking that the owl might of had the mouse, with us not seeing it for a while Mandy, lets hope so as I don't like mice. So you've been busy painting the fence panels, they should look lovely when they're up, hope the weather stays dry when it's being done.
Fancy the dentist forgetting all about you Ann, how long did you wait in the end?
Sandra has given us some Easter cards she has made, but was a bit upset that no one has sent her a card so I've just finished making her one and she loves it....bless her. I must admit I quite enjoyed making it :-) :-)
OH, Sandra and I have finally caught up with Casualty, we had a month of programmes to watch, so we can now watch them when they are on at the weekend without having to record them.
Hope all goes well for you tomorrow Ann, I'll be thinking of you both <3
Signing out now See you tomorrow Night Night

Morning Mel and all, Evening Kim,
No I didn't sleep well, :-( :-( I was up at 5.00 am and Ros followed about 7.00 am.
Same sort of day as yesterday here, so no sunbathing again for me
JOBS WORTH STORY. We have THREE lorries in the close repairing holes and patching the footpaths, we have a nasty bit at the top of our drive that hasn't beed marked for repair, so I asked if they could patch it for m
e as I tend to stumble on bad surfaces. NO CAN DO. We can only do what's on our list. He gave me a card with a number to ring and report it. Someone will come out and look at it, then if they think it needs repair they will send a lorry out to repair it. I just can't believe they can waste money like this. I will certainly have words when I ring. God forbid, but if I trip over this I will be sueing the local Council !!! MOAN OVER.
I expect by now Ann and Gordon will be at the service to send off his Dad, I hope everything goes off without any problems.
I had an Email from Will yesterday, Carmel hasn't been well since Christmas, and he has no time to himself, to come on the thread. He sends his love and regards to all.
The Easter wreath sounds nice Mel, where will you put it. ??
I am glad I was able to offer advise Gill. It could be so easy to just keep adding jobs for the builder to do, and THEN bang there's the BILL. ;-) ;-) ;-)
See you later.

Just after I posted this morning it started raining lightly.
Iv'e been to the library as I remembered today and filled all the bird feeders up, fed the robins, wrens, dunnocks and wagtails on the patio with live mealworms, did toast for brekky and fed the chickens and bantams and now I am about to get lunch.
I was thinking about William yesterday and this mroning and hoping everything is ok with both of them. Sending love to William and Carmel and hope she improves a bit soon. <3 <3 <3
Must fill my peanut box up from the sack in the uti room and then get lunch.
No peace for the wicked...............I must really be wicked...... :-P :-P :-P

Raining here now, so Ros has had to come in from her planting session. I have taken four new photo's of the front garden, but do you think I can find how to forward them, not in a hells chance :-P :-P
Slight development on JOBS WORTH. Someone has been and sprayed a big yellow circle around the area that needs replacing. Ros asked if they were doing it today. OH NO. someone will be back next week to do that. So typical, what a silly way to spend MY Council Tax ;-) ;-)
Just had a tray of King Prawns in a nice sauce dip. Ros has made me a coffee so I am set up until dinner tonight.

Afternoon all
It's been raining here and has only just stopped, I'm so glad OH got our lawns mowed yesterday.
The loft insulation man has just left and we are getting another 10 inches of insulation put in. They are doing it in Sandra's name as she gets benefits so it'll be quicker doing it that way. That's the way we did it for our boiler as well.
I hope all is well with Ann and Gordon. I'm thinking of your both <3
The council can be really awkward Frank, everything has to be done just so and they won't bend the rules. I would report it today before the Easter break. I agree with you that if you should fall you should sue the council, but don't forget to take photo's as I've heard they repair damaged paths straight away if a claim goes in. You'd need to put a ruler down showing how deep it is and the size of it on the length and width. I only know this as my aunt had a fall so had to take pictures including measurements for her claim. Hopefully you won't fall and the damaged path will be fixed soon :-) :-) Sorry to hear you had another bad night, hope you have a better one tonight.
I'm also sorry to hear Carmel hasn't been very well, hope she feels better soon and it's not to long before we hear from Will again.
Fancy forgetting to turn your washing machine on Mel, I hope the weather was okay for it to dry today and not raining like it was here. Your Easter wreath sounds lovely, can't wait to see a picture when your OH sorts it out for you <3
Going to get some lunch now then settle down to watch Doctor Thorne. I recorded all three of them so I'll watch them this afternoon, while Sandra watches her programmes in the other room. OH has just gone to work, so I'll have some peace and quiet to watch them all :-) :-)

This B#####y computer is driving me mad. I have changed the rechargeable batteries, and still the cursor has a mind of it's own. goes where it wants, as it wants.
Conrad just skyped it's 24 degrees out in Spain, He is home for lunch and says the swimming pool is being used by the residents, and all seem to be enjoying themselves.
As rain is stopped play, madam is on the sewing machine making yet another blanket for the children. She gave Julia a couple tha I bet they were glad the rain held off.t she made for her granddaughter down in Cornwall, which she will take down tomorrow when they visit.
I expect Ann and Gordon are home now, I bet they are glad it's all over before the rain came. <3 <3
Nice easy meal tonight. I don't feel like cooking. Tesco Finest meal for Ros and I. so only the plates to wash up.
I am so bored not being able to do anything. The knee is getting more and more sore, with any walking I do around the bungalow As for walking down the pub, I can forget that I will have to rely on Tony or Ros.

Afternoon all,
The rain has just started here it's been dull all day but we did manage to get the last fence panel painted first thing, it's just an Oak colour Ann ,we then nipped to Tesco's to get a few bits and it was so busy ,cars were all queuing to get off the car park you would think it was christmas ,we were lucky by the time we came out it had all cleared .
Have been thinking of Ann and Gordon today <3 hope FIL got a good send off and it stayed dry .
Frank you were a bit slow , you should have gone out before they came and sprayed round the hole like the others ,they would have just thought it was to be filled along with the others ,some thing to remember for next time ,they always come and spray a while before they come and fill them in . Have you given the mouse a good blow ? ,get the hoover on it there might be some dust or even a fine hair thats making it run and jump .
That's good that your getting the extra insulation in the loft Gill it will make you a bit warmer , but how can you insulate your rooms ,is it some thing you put on the walls ? i don't understand how you do that .
I meant to say the wreath sounds nice Mel, what are you making for the children ?
