Afternoon All
Mel I hope the Wreath doesn't get blown off the Church Door in this wind, especially after all your good work. That must have been very awkward wiring it on.
Well,I can honestly say that I did put Thomas out last night :-D :-D..He wanted out at 8pm so I just left him out then. When I got up this morning about 6 for the loo I looked out the bedroom window but he wasn't in the summerhouse then. But the next time I looked he was just curling up on the settee out there...Not sure if I will leave him out if the weather is going ot be so horrible.I will see.James always goes to bed late at the weekend so he could always have a look and see if Thomas is waiting outside the back door.
Have you got the spare room ready for your new guest Anne? I can't remember if you said how long David will be staying with you.
Frank,I can't really see you wanting to go and see Lewis's car on Monday. If the forecast is right non of us will be going anywhere !!! Did the blood spots come out from the sheet?
I have had to put a white shirt that James has just bought back in the wash.I had it on the line yesterday but the line must have been dirty and there are marks on the shirt :-S.One right in the front :-S.Also it had a bit of bird poo on..It hasn't even been worn yet !!!!!
Well I still have the rash on the side of my neck. Not as harsh looking as it was yesterday.Chris is a bit stumped really as to why I still have it and the fact also of where it is.It's all very peculiar. My bet is still on something to do with the flowers.
Mandy how frustrating for the men not to be able to do the Fence Posts today.I think they have made the right decision to get some proper equipment to do the job.
Gill, you will be able to buy something really nice for your garden with the birthday money from your Mum.....What a price the tickets are for the Racing !!!!!.I can understand you not wanting Mum to pay out all that amount even though she is willing to do so.
I see an email from Liz of Cas,so will go and open it :-D

Ellen's been out all afternoon. Went to Blaydon and then too Cramlington. A neighbour took her and fetched her back. Bought herself some tops in all colours and a couple of cardigans. Nice to see her getting something she wants and an afternoon out and about. Says she had something in a café :-D :-D

Evening All,
I see Mel is waking up with a singsong these days! :-) It's been wet and windy here today. The rain has really lashed down at times.
Frank it would be good if you could fix some kind of rail by the steps. You can't keep standing all these knocks. I bet Ros's finger is sore today too. I was actually looking at your tree today and will get back to it soon. :-)
That is annoying Jane when you wash something new and it gets marked on the line. It looks like Thomas was sensible and found a cosy spot in the summerhouse. The last time I had a rash on my neck it was shingles, but I expect Chris has already eliminated that possibility! I hope it starts to clear up soon.
Cas really loves that ring Liz and you can see she has a good old chew of it!!
What a shame you had to go back to the church Mel, but at least you managed to fix the wreath. I look forward to seeing it. I imagine your friend's 4 Jack Russell's are a handful.
Yes Anne you'll have to remember to cook extra won't you once David arrives!
I'd never heard of a lavender tree Mandy, it must be lovely to have the scent at nose level though once it's grown. What a shame about the fence posts. We ought to renew ours down the side as the spaces are all different so the panels have to be trimmed when they are replaced.
Gill I expect Sandra would be thrilled with the zoo. There should be some baby animals for her to see now too. I wouldn't have accepted that much money either but it was lovely of your mum to offer it.
That was good Ellen having a trip out and getting herself some things David. It's nice getting something to eat too so you don't have it to do when you get home.
Well, I'm off to bed now. I was awake till gone 3.00am and woken by the dog at 7.00am so didn't get much sleep last night. I feel a bit off the pace too so a good rest will help I hope..

The wind has picked up here and we have just seen a few spots of rain .
Mel i hope your wreath stays on the church door in this wind ,it must have been quite a job wiring it to the studs ,i'am sure the church goers will love it ,is there a service every week at the church ? i know some of the smaller churches here in the villages only have a service once a month .
Frank don't you go eating the batter on the fish !! you know how it plays you up ,you don't want to be suffering tomorrow if your cooking lunch . Isn't there an advert (Sainburys i think) where he adds ginger beer to the meat ?
I did some nice mustard roasted potatoes the other night ,they were tasty .
Your not having much luck with the shirt Jane , is this the third wash :-0 some times bird poo is a devil to shift . So Thomas went into the summer house then , that's good that he knows where to get if the weather turns wet . Your neck Jane ,you didn't lay on the new sofa or chair with that part of your neck touching the material did you ? ,some times they put a coating on the material ,we had a scotch guard coating put on ours ,just wondered if it was some thing like that , is it still a bit itchy ?
Oh goodness Ann you are having some bad nights ,i hope you get a good sleep tonight , and we lose an hour as it is with putting the clocks on .

Night Night Ann....Hope you manage to get to sleep and sleep the whole night through <3
Mandy ,how many chocolate bunnies have you got????(or eaten ) :-D :-D Yes I think this is the third wash for the white shirt !!..Have just given it the once over and it looks CLEAN :-D :-D
David ,that was nice for Ellen to have a good afternoon out doing a bit of retail therapy :-D Just think once you get your car you will be avble to take her out :-D
Oh poor cat Mandy. That is a long time to be trapped like that..Thank goodness it survived .Hopefully it will soon be back to full health and back home . Great things these microchips :-D
I don't think the new settees have caused the rash ...I am still going with the sap from the Tulips. The rash is going down and not looking so angry.
Don't eat that batter FRANK !!!!...You know what will happen :-S

That A and D are on,I can't stand all the noise and goings on. Football on at 7.30 so I am not sure if we will watch it in the lounge or conservatory. It will depend on what Ros wants to watch. Lewis and I don't mind being in the conservatoty.
Lewis has shown me (I HOPE) how to send the Photo's. They are on their way. Cat has been sleeping all day so no photo yet.
Yes Jane the blood came out of the sheets, She always puts something in the wash that catches anything like that.
Mandy NAUGHTY BUT NICE. comes to mind, even though I don't eat it very often. No I didn't see about that cat. Poor little thing. <3 <3
Have a good day tomorrow just in case I don't get on here.

The last time you were at Chester Zoo Frank was the year I was born, 50 years ago. I can't remember the last time I went, so we're all looking forward to taking Sandra for her birthday.
I love the pics of your front Garden Frank, it's so colourful and tidy, you've both worked really hard on it, I couldn't see one weed anywhere, including in the grass. I do envy you, our grass has weeds all through it, I think if we were to try and get rid of the weeds we'd have no lawn left LOL :-D :-D
I'm doing really well with my Australian relatives and finding all sorts on Ancestry as they have opened records in Australia as well as the UK. I think they may of opened all the records they have on their site by the looks of it, so if you want to update your tree Frank, now's the time to do it ;-) ;-)
That must of been hard putting the wreath on the church door Mel, hope it stays on when storm Katie arrives :-S :-S
I've just noticed the advert in our local paper for the F1 trip that mum was looking at Jane and it was £289.00 per adult so almost £600 not £500. I would of felt guilty if we'd gone, especially as the trip date was on my MUM'S birthday and not ours, plus she also loves the F1 as well, so I'm glad we all agreed to having the £50 pounds each for OH and I instead. She is going to give us the money next week so we can order the plants we want and get them in the garden while it's spring. OH's birthday is in July like mum's, but mine isn't until November so to late to plant anything then. I've found a nursery online where, if you buy plants in bulk, they are much cheaper, so we should get quite a few with the £100 mum's giving us and like I said we'll be able to see them for years to come.
I've just put Casualty on pause, so I'd better go and watch it with OH and Sandra as they're waiting.

Nothing planned for today except putting the cream on the huge trifle I have made. I hope there's enough to go ove the top as the bowl splays out. I should have used a different one but this one is green and I thought it was a good spring colour and its lime jelly inside.

Morning Mel, Morning all
We've got a bit of sun here today but lots of clouds and windy with it. I watched the weather forecast this morning and it looks as if the storm is going to be during the early hours of tomorrow morning, so make sure your girls are safe Mel ;-) ;-) I'm hoping it will all be over by the time we get up as we have to make a start on emptying the loft ready for the insulation to go in. OH has six days off on the run and although we haven't been given a date for the insulation to go down he wants to clear the loft while he has the time off. We'll put everything in the garage for now as we have quite a lot. Good job the builders didn't get back to us and we still have the garage to use.
I'm going to take a look at my family tree today using Ancestry while they have the records open for free. I might as well fill in some more gaps while OH is in work. Sandra's still asleep so I should be able to concentrate for a few hours.
Did everyone remember to put their clocks forward an hour? I felt quite lazy when I woke up and saw the time, but then remembered it was later than it felt.
Hope you haven't had indigestion with having fish and chips last night Frank, did you take the batter off, you know you'll suffer if you didn't? ;-) ;-)
I didn't hear about the cat Mandy, the poor thing. At least it's reunited with it's owners now.........good job it had a microchip isn't it? Your DIL did well at the chocolate factory with all those chocolate rabbits, what a bargain :-) :-) Shame you can't move the fence posts over a bit, hopefully the breaker will do the job and the new fence will be up soon.
That was nice David for Ellen to have a day out shopping. Once you get your car you'll both be able to get out and about together.
How's your rash today Jane, has it cleared up yet? Did you put Thomas out again last night? You do need your sleep, so I hope you are getting more of it now. What a palaver you've had with the shirt, hope it's all sorted this time round.
Hope you've had a better nights sleep Ann, there's nothing worse than bad nights sleep, it takes ages to get your body clock back to rights again. Yes, Sandra is hoping to see some baby animals when she goes to the Zoo. She has already started the countdown to her birthday......bless her. I just hope the weather is nice on the actual day and we don't have to go another day, she'd be so disappointed if that happened.
It's suddenly gone very dark here so I expect we're in for some rain soon :-( :-(
Going to get a cuppa now, then take another look at my tree. See you all later <3

Not a bad day here! Sunshine and showers and not too cold. I came into breakfast this morning to find a chocolate Easter bunny on my plate!! Ian bought it yesterday from the shop as a surprise, and it was, a very pleasant one. I've managed to get ITV programmes, and channel 4 catchup on my Kindle Jane!! So. I'm able to watch 'Indian Summers' which is very good. What with that, and catch up.on the big TV, we hardly need to record anything anymore!!!!

Good morning everyone
Our weather is sunshine & showers today but more showers then sun with not so much wind at the moment.
Frank your garden looks so pretty I can see how much hard work has gone into it, our lawn has a lot of moss growing in it. We now have the frogs back in the bottom pond so there will be tadpoles later. It's amazing how they come back every year.
Gill we last went to Chester zoo in about 1969/70 I remember that Richard who was only very young pressing his nose up close to look at the birds and got it pecked. We used to stay at Ellesmere Port with Peter's brother and his 1st wife Carol when he was an RSPCA officer there, her dad was a police officer which was how they met. This was when Colin was keeper of British Art at the Walker Gallery in Liverpool so we used to visit him as well.
Only Paul and Abbie coming today as Beckie is going to see "Little Mix" at the O2 with some friends they were lucky enough to get back stage passes.
I am cooking a Turkey crown, some little sausages and all the usual veg for dinner..
I have got the bedroom ready for David when he moves in next Friday, I expect it will be a sad day for him , he is handing his keys back and the Heart Foundation are collecting the furniture, One of his friends from work is helping him bring his TV, clothes etc I have asked him if there is any food he doesn't like and it seems he has tastes similar to mine, I know he has porridge for breakfast and I have ordered some yogurts [the cholesterol lowering ones] I only wish Richard could have been here to help him settle in, Paul is away that weekend as well, he is off to Coventry, something to do with ice hockey, he goes every year as it's the end of the season.

How nice Liz to wake up to a surprise of a chocolate Easter bunny. We have a mix of sunshine and showers, so a bit of everything today by the looks of it. I don't watch Indian Summers, my planner is so full of programmes that all three of us want to watch I don't have the time for anymore at the moment.
I'm still plodding through my family tree but it's a bit slower finding things than yesterday, so I might move onto someone else in my tree to see what I can find......It keeps me out of mischief LOL :-D :-D :-D
Sandra's still in bed, so I don't know what time she got to sleep last night, but it must of been very late.

I didn't see you there Anne, good afternoon. It sounds like you have the same weather as me today.
So David's moving in on Friday, I'm sure he'll be glad to be settled and have some company. Good that he likes the same food as you, that should make things nice and easy. I should imagine it will be a sad day for him, it can't be easy, but at least he won't be on his own, which is the main thing.
Poor Richard having his nose pecked by the bird at Chester Zoo. I hope it wasn't to bad and didn't put him off birds for life. Things like that can stick with you, if you're young when it happens.
So Beckie is off to see Little Mix....and back stage passes as well? She's a lucky girl. Sandra will be so jealous. I hope she has a wonderful time. How did she get the back stage passes, did she win them?
Just heard Sandra waking up, so I'll go and say hello to her. Next door is banging at something, I don't know what he's doing, but he's been doing it for a couple of days now :-S At least he can't complain when we start doing our alterations ;-)

Afternoon all and Happy Easter ,
The rain has just started here and the winds getting up again it had died down when we got up and the sun was out ,the little ones did the Egg Hunt outside this morning i was hoping it would keep dry for them , i also hid some chocolate bunnies i bought indoors i told them to be quiet and said i could hear rabbits in the house !! i had to smile as Jake said after he thought i meant real ones :-D :-D They went home happy with their finds .
Not a lot happening here today we're just having a lazy day ,i might have a look on ancestry at my tree but i don't like the way it's all set out now it was much better to look at each family member on the old set up .
Might have a look at the boat race this afternoon ,i should think the water will be a bit on the choppy side :-0
Did everyone remember to change the clocks ?
