Morning all
Sunny here today but it looks like we've had some rain in the night.
Sorry to hear your hip is playing up Mel, hope it eases soon. I love the pics of all the things you have made and hope the one you sent to Spring Watch is shown.
Pleased to hear the funeral went well Jane. Fancy knowing the organist, it's a small world isn't it?
That must of been so exciting Anne, going to Buckingham Palace, how lucky were you and to be of an age where you'd remember it for the rest of your life. Yes the programmes were really interesting, I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
Sorry to hear you're still not sleeping very well Ann, I hope you had a good nights sleep last night and you are feeling better today.
I hope the results of your X-Ray went okay for you this morning Frank and they can do something to help. I'm sure if you give them the dates you're away they will sort something out around them.
Nothing planned for today, so I might take another look at my family tree or catch up with a few more TV programmes.
What is everyone else up to today?

Not doing anything in particular here. Probably a bit of gardening, walking Cas, reading my book, and that's about it. Maybe watch Lady in the Van this afternoon, (DVD) apart from that the TV stays firmly off till later! Too much of it does both our heads in, I know Frank feels the same!

Oh dear Frank! It's easily done!!! I did it yesterday on another forum! It was really annoying! Just taken Cas for a good run in the field behind us. The horses have been moved nearer to the farm as it's SO wet, so we've been able to use it again. Our own paddock is very wet and muddy, so poor Merlin is confined to his yard! If only it would stop raining!!!

Just hoovered the whole kithcen and dining area and cleaned the hoover right out.
Now I am having a little sit down before getting the lunch salad ready.
Frank it is so annoying when that happens. I do wish you would use the copy and paste method throughout your typing and then if you lose it you can just paste what you had written back on the page.
I find most mornings I am typing away and when I look up it has stopped putting it on the page then have to click the corser back on the page and start typing where IT left off.
Have to go to Mole Valley at some point for chicken corn as the pheasents eat more corn than the three chickens and 10 banties put together. I now have 10 females and Phill peasent and they all know when feeding time is and corning time and all arrive for their share. This morning Phill must have had a bad night as one of his long tail feathers is broken and is dragging on the ground as he walks along. Not a good look for the girls to see!!!!!! but he is such a dear and comes right up to me.

Here we go again with great caution !!
The knee is wearing at the bone joints and has arthritis. So all it great (NOT) She is refering me to the hospital to see what they want to do. She did tell me that if IF it's a replacement job, they have to apply for funding, so it's not just in and have it done.
Carolyn has to go to the hospital to possible have the plaster removed,so you can guess who's taking her ;-) ;-) Carolyn rang about mid-day to say she had washed her hair. Ros has gone round to roller and dry it, before going to the hospital.
No plans for me either today. I looked at the lawns but they are too wet from last nights rain, and it's so cold in this wind. So they will have to wait.
Mel, one of these days I will have to concentrate and do as Lewis shows me to COPY AND PASTE. What do they say "You can't teach an old DOG to do new tricks"
The page is darting about, so I will post what i've done.

I love the picture of your Easter Wreath Mel, what a good idea to use the egg shell as a plant pot for your flowers......very clever :-D :-D How nice to have them all come up to you for food Mel. Hope Phill is okay and not in any pain. Do tail feathers fall out and grow back again, or will it stay like that for good now?
Sorry to hear you've lost another post Frank. How does the copy and paste work Mel, I sometimes lose a post so it would be handy to know?
I'm wishing the good weather would hurry up and get here too Liz. It's quite cold out there today. OH has six days off on the run from work starting Friday and we were hoping to clear the loft items into the garage ready for the insulation to be put down, so I hope the rain stays away while we do it. I don't think OH will start the job until Monday as the F1 is on again this weekend so he'll be watching that and I can't get in the loft to do it myself.
Well, I haven't watched any TV yet, as I've been busy going through my tree. Now I know why I've got so many gaps, I can't seem to find much for all the missing info I need, so I might get something to eat and try again later. It's not easy when I don't have access to the records anymore :-( :-(

I see you made it on here in the end Frank. I hope something can be done about your knee, if you get a new one it will really help and you'll be able to get around a lot better.
It sounds like Ros is still busy helping everyone, she's such a kind person isn't she? She needs to take care of herself too though and should rest occasionally.
Going to get a sandwich now, see you all later <3

Poor you Frank, arthritis can be very painful and debilitating. Let's hope the hospital can recommend some treatment to keep it from getting worse and keep you out of pain. Did anyone watch Tim and Pru? I thought it was so interesting and informative as it was in Sweden. This Sunday they're back in England for the last programme. They're so lovely together and obviously completely devoted to each other.

What a beautiful sunset Mel, we have to many buildings in the way to see the sun go down properly......you're so lucky :-)
No I didn't watch Tim and Pru Liz, I've been so busy catching up with all the programmes I've recorded that I haven't been keeping an eye on any other programmes that are on.

Liz, I love all the canal programmes. There was one where a chap rebuilt and re-furbished his boat, but can't think of the name of it. I hope it comes to me or I won't get it out of my head.
Gill, I have been on the lawn to see if it had dried enough t very cold.o give it a cut. But no it's still too wet, and that wind is still very cold. See how the cursor just moves without you knowing it !!!
It seems that HARVEY AND JULIA have roped Ros in to making curtains for Lara in Cornwall. Lara's boyfriend's Mother has just rung about what extra length Ros will need on the curtains. She doesn't know anything about them, or at least she hasn't told me. Stand by for BLAST OFF ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) She and the familyMy friend in Kettering, His daughter who lived in Americahas let me know on F B that her puppy whotheyhave had two months, tried to jump up onto her lap, while sitting at the table and banged his head on the corner of the table. They took her to the vets but he was dead before arrival. It was such a beautiful looking pup. (It's done it again above) She and the family are broken hearted.

Jane, thank you for sending on Mel's amazing little Easter themed work .Mel you are such a clever lady, I hope they are shown on Spring Watch too.
Frank sorry about the news about your knee lets hope you are given something to ease the discomfort while you wait for a possible replacement.. We always watch Prue & Tim on their canal journeys, do they have a camera man on board with them?. Frank we watched the programme where the canal boat was renovated but can't recall the name of it either. That was terribly sad with that poor puppy how dreadful for the owners. Ros is being kept very busy where does she get all that energy from?
I had a trip to the dentist this morning for the 6 monthly check up, nothing needs to be done apart from booking for the hygienist which will be in May as she is busy. I had to pay the £40.00 in advance as usual.
It has been a bright Sunny day today, so as well as walking to the dentist which takes about 20 minutes each way, I also took Amy for her usual walk, she is fast asleep on her bed at the moment. I feel like joining her :-) :-)

Just finished watching The lady in the Van, and it was brilliant. Alan Bennett is so clever and so witty, it was well worth watching. I remember that too Frank, and can't remember the name. I'm going to see if I can run it to earth on line. Oh dear, how awful about the pup! It must have caught it's head in exactly the wrong place. How awful, poor them. Cold meat and salad for us tonight, + jacket spuds. I think Tim and Pru must have a cameraman travelling with them, also help finding their way to their mooring last Sunday!!

Well I just lost a post too :-S :-S Second time lucky.........Frank ,I am sure the consultant will be able to suggest the best thing for your knee.I didn't know that funding has to be applied for for a new knee op.
Oh that is so sad about the little puppy :-(..That knock must have caused a brain haemorrhage. It must have been one heck of a bang.
Mel I love your photos of the sunset and Easter wreath :-D :-D.The wreath looked lovely.
Anne, that would have been exciting for you at 14yrs to be in Buckingham Palace. What a shame though that you missed the Trooping of the Colours. There can't be many children like you were to get a sneaky peak of some of the rooms :-D
Now Now Frank...Keep your cool about those curtains..Ros may know but just hasn't said anything to you yet .You don't want to go off the deep end lol
Ann,are you feeling any better today?.It does sound a bit like it might be a viral thing.Hopefully you will be fine for next Wednesday. If not please don't worry. We can always make another date.
Well Chris and I have been to the Garden Centre and have bought a load of herbs for my big planter. The only one I couldn't get is a Tarragon but I should be able to get one in a few weeks. It is just a bit early for that one at the moment .I have got them all in now and it is looking very nice.Chris has put the netting all up around the sides so Thomas can't get in there !!!!!..Lets hope it works :-D
I was rudely woken this morning at 7.40 by the window cleaner.I was fast asleep and was woken by loud scraping noises. He was on the flat garage roof doing the ensuite window and the little front window in the bedroom.it took a while to realise what the noise was...Bit early though I thought. I have been having good nights sleep now that I am putting Thomas out at night :-D
I rang the shop where we bought the suite from to order some Arm Covers for the 2 settees. We may not use them at the moment ,but I thought it was best to actually get some now rather than at a later date just incase the same material was discontinued. I asked about a footstool too,but at £599!!!! will give that a miss. What a price :-0 :-0
James just messaged me to say the funeral went fine and that Jess read a poem that she had written herself .He said she was amazing :-D..I couldn't have done that as I just know I would blub .I thought Jess was very brave.I hope her family were proud of her.James said last night before he left here that he felt as though he was coming down with a cold....It is apparently in full flow now :-S..Hopefully it might be a bit easier by friday when they go to Stockholm. What bad timing !!
Gill it does look like the weather is going to get even warmer,so hopefully you and OH will be able to get the loft emptied. We have had a beautiful sunny day here today after a bit of a frosty start.I got so hot outside putting the herbs in on the patio I had to come in and put a thin top on.I can feel it cooling down a bit now though so I better close the big window here in the lounge.Upstairs I have one of our big windows in the bedroom open and also James's and the bathroom. So we have had a good airing today :-D

Hi David, have you done any more about looking for the right car for you?Just think of lovely summer days ahead and being able to take you both out and about :-D I say lovely summer days lol hopefully we will get at least a few :-D
That is good you don't need any dental work Anne.Just the hygienist .I must be due for a check up soon :-S I have missed nearly all Tim and Pru's Canal trips. There seems to be so many things I watch on catch up these days.It is great to be able to see lots of programmes I miss, but sometimes it is too much and if I am not careful I could be glued to the screen far more than is good for me lol..Chris watches so much more now since he retired.he barely watched TV at all when he was working...He is getting square eyes !!!!
Mel is that a load of footballs in your pond? :-D
