Late afternoon all, Just haven't felt like getting on here today.
Ros got up and made the tea, so COT in bed with my Asprin. I should have turned over and gone back to sleep as I felt so tired. But got up, had another COT and a sausage sarnie with brown sauce.
Ros went round to Carolyn's to hang out her washing and take some bits round. She then picked up the scripts, and went to the garage about the rear door that Carolyn broke yeatrday. That's going in on Tuesday to be fixed.
Ros is doing a Turkey stir fry for us tonight, so did enough for J & C and took it round, all she has to do is COOK IT.
I decided to do my back lawn this afternoon which was a struggle, I had to sit down after every two runs up and down the lawn. That's out of the way for another week or two. When I looked at my emails "GREEN THUMB" advised me that they are coming tomorrow to do the Spring treatment, and not to cut the lawn for THREE DAYS either side of treatment. Needless to say I have Blasted them for not letting me know earlier. !!!
I didn't know you could buy racks fom B & Q to fit on the joists Gill. Might be an idea for us, even though I doubt we could get up in the loft now ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Mel that is some storeage you have there. !! Do you ever need to sort out something you want ?? Are you not tempted to have a Pheasant or two, when they are always in the orchard ??
Our bin day is Tuesdays, so never have to bother with Bank Holidays.
Poor old Ronnie Corbet. He was such a good laugh with the other Ronnie. Great pair missed by many. RIP
It looks like the weather is going to get warmer by the weekend, with possible rain showers Sunday.
Ros is at Choir pratice tonight, so I might pop back later.

Evening All I too haven't like getting on the pooter today Frank.I have had a right old upset tum .Chris thinks it is all the anti inflammatory and painkillers .He has suggested I buy something(can't think of the name now) that coats the stomach which may help a lot. So that will be on my list for tomorrow. It has just been one of those days...This morning I took off the dust collection container on hte hoover and as I was coming down the stairs with it to empty it,I dropped the blooming thing and the muck went EVERYWHERE.All down the stairs,up the walls, and all over the floor at the bottom of the stairs.it looked like I had got a builder or plasterer in .Amazing how far dust travels :-S :-S.So then I had to wash everything down hoover the stairs and wash the floor.
Dinner is ready.Pulled BBQ Pork,Hassleback Potatoes,Mushrooms and peas and beans. I don't really feel like much at all so Chris will have to have double portions.
Hannah arrives tomorrow.I pick her up at 12 from the station.Hopefully I will feel more human by then.
We didn't hear from Ann yesterday or today so far.Hopefully she has just been busy and not poorly. I won't be back again tonight so will see you all tomorrow.

No we didn't know about the platform either Frank and was wondering how we were going to get around the fact we couldn't put much back up in the loft, so this will solve the problem, so long as they're not to expensive that is as we have quite a large loft and lots of things to put up there even after we've had another sort out, so I should imagine we'd need more than one platform.
How did the back door get broken? :-S Fancy Green Thumb not letting you know they were arriving, you'd of thought they would of given you at least four days notice if you can't cut it for three days before, just in case you had cut it, which of course you have........silly people.
It sounds like you've been busy in your garden today Mel. Our Camellias are starting to bloom, we have five of them. They do look lovely when in full flower but don't seem to flower for long if the wind gets up, which is a shame.

Didn't see you there Jane, sorry to hear you're not feeling very well. What bad luck dropping the collection container. At least it's all cleared up now, but not really something you'd feel like doing when you're not well. Hope you feel better in time for Hannah's visit tomorrow.
I was thinking we hadn't heard from Ann as well Jane, but thought that she may of gone away for a few days with the weather being nice. Hope the bug she said she had hasn't got worse and that's why she hasn't been on here.

Evening All,
Just done a 'Frank' and lost a long post and have lost the wherewithall to do it again!! My tum feels much better, but little appetite and I just felt very tired the last 2 days. I had a lie down this afternoon and OH joined me to watch some recorded tv which is not usual for us to watch tv in the day. It hasn't helped that the beta blockers I take cause a bit of indigestion too.
Hope you soon feel better Jane and what a disaster with the hoover just at a time when you wouldn't have wanted the extra work clearing up!! Hopefully we should be fighting fit again for our meal next week!! :-)
Well done Ros being firm about not doing the curtains Frank! I made 11 foot wide full length curtains for my lounge at my last house and the sheer weight of lugging them about and crawling on the lounge floor to cut and pin them together was hard work and then there's still the linings to do.
Will catch up with the posts tomorrow as I need to get my 'bead' bag ready for tomorrow and have an early night!

Pleased to hear you are feeling a little better now Ann, we were starting to worry about you. Those curtains sound like they were a nightmare to do, luckily the ones I'm hoping to make for Sandra are a lot smaller than that. I sew the lining onto the curtain then add the curtain tape to the top, I find that's easier than doing them separately.
I'm signing out now, hopefully I'll be back on here tomorrow but OH and I are making a start on emptying the loft so it might only be a short post in the morning. We're hoping it's not going to take to long to empty and it doesn't rain to much as we're going to put some of the stuff in the garage and we don't fancy walking to the garage laden down with boxes in the rain. I'm not sure how long it's going to take us to empty the loft, but luckily OH has six days off on the run so plenty of time to get it done.
OH's boss has realised today that she hasn't given him his full contracted hours for this month and the cut off date for his wages is the 10th April, so she's asked him to go in when ever he likes on his days off to make up the 12 hours he's short. The handy man has dislocated his knee so he will be doing some of his jobs for the odd hour, here and there, until he's done his 12 hours. Luckily OH can choose what days and times he wants to go in over the next 10 days.
Well, he's waiting to watch his Guy Martin programme I recorded, so I'd better go. Sweet Dreams Everyone Night Night <3

Good morning all, Evening Kim,
pinch punch and all that ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Gill I thought I mentioned about the car door. Carolyn tried to open the door before Ros opened it with the key fob, it looks like she has broken something behind the door panel. The car goes in on Tuesday.
Door bell battery has given up again. That's three in four weeks, I am going to send an email to the suppliers, I might have a duff lot.
I didn't eat anything last night. The stir fry will go in rthe bin this morning. I just don't fancy anything. But will try a bit of toast later.
No plans for today, certainly not going in the garden. It will be shower and LEG up with my book I think.
Jane I bet you needed that like a hole in the head !!!
This B####y cursor is still doing it's own thing. I have had to move it FOUR times in the short time I have been on here. I will get this posted before it decides to wipe itself off

Morning all
Dull and cloudy today and not very warm, it's suppose to rain later, hope it's not to heavy.
Hope you are feeling better today Jane and Ann. Enjoy you time with Hannah Jane.
How did your meal with your son go last night Liz?
OH has woken up with a cough I'm not sure if he's going in the loft today, so I'm going food shopping instead. Having a bath first and I've changed the bedding. I've also rang the insulation people as I haven't heard back from them yet, the surveyor told me to ring today if I hadn't heard from them. I rang just after 10am and was told the woman I needed to talk to was on a break so I'm waiting for her to ring back. I'm hoping they can do the job sometime over the next six days while OH is off work.
What is everyone else up to today?

Morning Frank didn't see you there. Sorry I must of missed the post about the car door, it didn't lock her in the car did it?
Yes resting your leg sounds like a good idea. have you thought of buying a new mouse, it sounds like you need one Frank? Our door bell has been playing up recently but we think it might be a loose wire, either that or we need a new one. This one has been in since we moved here almost 8 years ago, so we're not sure how old it is.
Well, my baths run so I'd better jump in it before the woman rings me.

Yes Gill, we had a lovely evening. Son arrived about 7 and gave Ian a hand with a couple of heavy jobs outside, then supper got demolished!!! he can eat for England!!!! We chatted away mostly about family things going way back down memory lane which was really lovely. He went off about 11, so a late night for us !!! This morning Ian is fiddling about outside, and I'm clearing up ! Cas is recovering!! Son bought.his dog (a rescue lurcher/?!) Who's about 8. He's a lovely gentle boy, but big and poor Cas was frightened of him and spent all evening in her cage!! Not too bad a day, bit cloudy but warmer. Hope everyone's aches and pains are feeling better.

Well I am glad it's warmer with you Liz as it's bl**dy freezing here in the wind. I have just been round to see the chickens were alright and the wind cuts you in half.
Phill has arrived for his breakfast and he has lost the bit of broken tail and now has a stump one side and a long one the other.
Gill it takes about 6 weeks for a bird to renew, regrow a feather and no it dos'nt hurt them when they break one.

It does seem strange hearing you all saying pinch punch on the first of the month. We say White Rabbits three times up North.....don't ask me why LOL :-S :-S
Thanks for letting me know about Phill, Mel, I was a bit worried that he maybe in pain. It's good the feathers grow back isn't it?
Your time with your son sounded lovely Liz, we all had a chat with Michelle last night on the phone, it's so nice to hear her voice every now and then instead of text messages or chatting online. Michelle is moving in with her boyfriend tomorrow and is so excited about it, I hope it all works out the way she is hoping it will. How often do you see your son, I hardly see Michelle, she hasn't been here since last October and won't be visiting again until this October because she's so busy at work. I hope you see your son more often
You're not on your own Mel, it's quite cold here today too and I'm just about to go shopping. It was so nice yesterday, but today I'm going to have to put a coat on. Hope the weather improves for you soon and for us as well.
The woman rang me back this morning from the insulation place and said she was doing the paperwork today. She is going to ring me back this afternoon with hopefully a date to do the work, she is hoping they can do it early next week as I mentioned that my OH has six days off on the run, which was nice of her. So I'm just waiting for her to ring me back.
Signing out now for a while.......be good, or if you can't be good, be careful :-D :-D

We will Gill, be as careful as we can!! Now we're living back up here, we see our son much more often, about every six weeks or so. He rings up at least once a week, and we go to stay with them about three times a year for a long weekend. Also, although we got on well enough with his wife, his partner is much easier and laid back so we find we have a much more relaxed relationship with him now, so when I said to you Gill, not to throw in the towel over Michelle, I spoke a bit from experience!!! Our daughter we see about the same, maybe a bit less, as with her three and a business to run and various other commitments she is a very busy lady!! She doesn't live too far away, so we can easily go for the day. Must get the washing in as it's clouded up up here and looks as if it could rain :-|

Afternoon All
Well I don't know where today has gone.I have just sat down.Did a bit of shopping this morning and also got a nice mink coloured sheepskin rug to go by the side of Hannahs bed.The old one was so tatty,That is in the bin now. Then I picked Hannah up from the station .On the way home we passed a F&C shop.We both looked at each other and licked our lips lol.So ended up coming back with lunch :-D..I had a lovely bit of fish and it was humungous so Chris had half of that. Hannah had work to do on her laptop so I did a bit of ironing and then at 3.30 went off to get my eyebrows tidied. No Dennis Healy look now :-D :-D.Hannah is now at the Dentist for a very over due check up.She doesn't want to change to a Dentist in London as our one is so good. She has gone in my car.
Liz I am surprised that Cas was scared of your Son's dog.Is this the first time they have met?.Your evening sounded great ,with a lovely meal and reminiscing :-D
Gill, how nice for you all to have a good 'proper' chat with Michelle. It is nice to hear their voice. It is good that we have other ways of talking to our family but nothing is better than the phone.(Or Skype). Is she still in her flat?or did she change her mind and move in with the boyfriend? I seem to remember you said she was staying put?
Ding Dong Frank :-D :-D..We had trouble a few years ago with our doorbell just like you.Chris kept buying new ones but I think it was something to do with a lithium battery?? I don't really know :-S..What ever it was it was a simple remedy. I hope the car door repair isn't going to be an expensive job :-S
Mel it is nice that you still have Phil the Pheasant with you :-D,and a new Harem :-D.Or are they the same females from last year?
I see that the lovely Denise Robertson (Agony Aunt) from the morning programme with Philip and Holly has sadly passed away today :-(...That team are going to be in bits :-( :-(.She was only diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer a month or so ago.
Ann,I am sure we will be fighting fit for next week :-D :-D..Two tough old birds :-D Fitz will be hobbling along like an old man as he has very painful feet at the moment.(Don't tell him I said that lol)
Well I don't know what happened to the sun today. We had a bit this morning and then it vanished not to return at all.In fact we have just lit the fire as it feels colder inside than it does outside.Hannah is always cold so she will be pleased to see the fire when she gets back from the dentist.
James and Jess have arrived in Stockholm. He sent me a pic of a very very blue sky. They were just waiting for the owner of the apartment they are having to arrive with the key.
Thomas has been eating a load of grass :-S..Too many bunnies in his tum maybe :-S :-S

Hi all, I have changed my mouse to one that plugs into the computer, so we will see if it's any better.
Same here with the weather Jane, at the moment we have hazy sunshine.
The car repair is being paid for by Carolyn. She said as she broke it she should pay for it.
It's stange that we get that feeling about F & C. once you smell it you have got to have it. Glad that James has arrived safely, how long are they there. Ros calls me Denis Healey when my eyebrows need a trim. My hairdresser always trims mine when I go there, I also have a trimmer in the bathroom.
It's not the mouse, the bit I just typed went to the top of the posting.
Madam has just knocked a glass of water all over the table and her sewing, so the air is a bit blue !!!
Mel, what are the chances of Phil and his ladies nesting in your orchard. It would be so nice to have little ones running around in a few weeks. (when do they nest April ??)
Got to get the veg on for dinner.
