I'm on my way to your town Mandy to open up a Barclays Account LOL. I remember wanting to transfer £5000 from one account to another once and the fella got the account numbers the wrong way around, I ended up owing the bank money as I'd gone overdrawn and also as a result one of my mortgage payments wasn't made. They realised their mistake and told me they had sorted it out, they also told our mortgage provider who kindly let us have extra time to make the payment which thankfully went through in time. I only got a letter of apology and £10, but at least I didn't end up getting a black mark on my credit report which would of caused me more trouble in the future. The fella had to go on a training course to improve the way he worked. I never got an apology off him though.
Yes not long to go now Mandy, what date was it again you were getting Max? Good idea to make everywhere MAX PROOF before his arrival.
The reason we have so much up in the loft Liz is because we'd starting packing, so most of our things were up there. I remember when we had one viewing, the couple asked if anyone lived here as everywhere was so bare. I'm looking forward to making it homely now instead of like a show home with neutral colours and minimal rooms. We're still taking things down, I just hope the floor holds out with all the weight on it. I said that to OH and he said if the floor falls through then at least we have more space, height wise, to put more things in the room......he has a point LOL.
I found a rug I forgot we had in cream which we had in the old house so that'll be going down when we get rid of our living room carpet and get a hard floor put down and to think I was going to buy one. It's going to be a bit like Christmas when we start opening the boxes, as I'm sure they'll be plenty of things I've forgotten about. Sandra is really excited to get her stuff back and loves the fact we're not moving now......bless her.
Nico Rosberg won the race Frank, with Lewis Hamilton coming third. Lewis had an accident at the beginning of the race which made his car run bad, so he couldn't catch the top two up before the race ended. He was lucky to get third. I watched the race while OH went to the tip so every time he came back for more rubbish I kept saying don't look at the TV. I didn't want it to be spoilt for him as it was quite an exciting race, which hopefully he'll have time to watch tomorrow. He's avoiding the news at the moment so he doesn't see the results.
He'd just finished taking the last load of rubbish when we had some heavy rain, so that was timed right. I noticed the dark clouds coming over, so before he took the last load to the tip he put the rest of the stuff in the garage he wanted in there. Then he realised he couldn't find the car key, he thought he would have to empty the boot as it might of fell in there, but no, the silly man had left the keys in the lock of the passenger's door. We were lucky no one drove off with the car as it was parked out the front. Certainly a lesson learnt there, me thinks LOL.
So Thomas didn't get out of the window then Jane? I mentioned it because two of our cats fell out of windows, as like you said, they like to sit on window sills and if there's a window open they have to go through it. It gave me a scare when they did it as they were upstairs windows. Needless to say we kept the door firmly shut after that.
Well, it sounds as if OH has got more stuff out of the loft as I can hear the ladders being put back up, we can't open the door with the ladders down, so I'd better go and move it to the other room so he can get some more out. I've got a feeling it's going to be another late night, but hopefully not as late as last night. We're determined to finish it today so I can clean this place tomorrow, there is dust every where and it's making us all cough :-( :-(

Warm here this morning, and sort of sunny! I agree about Undercover Mel! We started out thinking that we weren't going to enjoy it, but suddenly the penny dropped and now we can't wait for next week! We thoroughly enjoyed The Durrells, and the scenery as fantastic! Home Fires we shall watch this evening! Nothing much today. We're going to Cirencester later to the gun shop, then a a pub lunch, hopefully we can sit outside!

Morning my lovelies, Evening Kim,
Not a bad morning here, a bit of both sunshine and xloud.
I have made my provisional appointment for my knee 26th April at 6.00 pm. It will have to be confirmed by the hospital.
I thought the Durrells and Home fire was very good. Liz I have deleted part of this as I didn't want to spoil you viewing this evening. Will mention it tomorrow if I remember. !!!
Carol came along this morning to take photo's of 19 blankets/covers Ros has made. She wants to show them off. FAME AT LAST ;-) ;-) <3 <3
She has gone to pick Carolyn up, to take shopping, who has to be back by two for a call from the Doctor. Ro will then go back into Town to have her nails done. SO HOME ALONE. and no cross words.
Tony has just popped in to see if I knew a plumber as he has a blocked drain. Which one I don't know, as I didn't ask.
Hope the car goes through it's MOT alright Mel.AND NOT MORE EXPENSE. Ros's car goes in tomorrow. But the cost is down to Carolyn.
I see you are uncovering some treasures Gill. Keep looking you might find Grandfathers GOLD WATCH lol lol. <3 <3 ;-) ;-)
Clouds have really taken over now, so I will get the bins out while the drive is clear, and before the rain.

Morning All,
I quite enjoyed the Durrells too, although things on tv are not interpreted quite the same as the books. A chap I worked with years ago bought them all and would pass them on for me to read and they were full of humour and wonderful descriptions. I have recorded Home Fires and undercover.
Gill I used to keep one of those sticky rollers in my car years ago when I worked. With wearing dark suits for my visits I often would get cat and dog hair all over me in people's houses and could have a quick clean up with the roller between visits! I still have it and sometimes find it handy to run over the tablecloth at Christmas to get the crumbs up!! lol. :-) They last for ever and just need a quick rinse under the tap as you say.
OH is in gardening mood and after a weed all around the back yesterday he is now on the front doing the same and trimming some things back.
I'm off to do some errands next. His car is in the garage tomorrow for it's first service and for the fluid to be topped up that's causing the warning light to come on.
That's good you have your appointment through now Frank.......not long to wait. I don't know about you being 'cursed', more like 'cursored' I would say!! lol :-D :-D
Mandy, I like the sound of Maxproofing!! lol. It's easier to block places off than get a wedged, chubby puppy out!!! :-) I suppose he will be picking up and chewing whatever he can find too. It won't be long now will it.

Well we're back, and no we couldn't sit out as it came onto rain!! Had a nice morning though and a prawn salad lunch with French bread. We're now both on our computers! Ian on his laptop, and me on my Kindle!! I'm about to watch the programme about the Brontes on catchup. Yes I agree Ann about the Durrells - poetic license I think?!!! I've got a gold watch that I wear on a chain as a necklace Mel. It was a 21st birthday present and the gold strap wore very thin years ago so I now wear it like that. Yesterday the TV headphones really came into play!! Ian wanted to watch the motor racing, and I didn't, so he plugged in the phones and I was able to watch catchup with my own phones on in peace!! The system works a treat! we should have done it years ago!!

Well is as black as your hat here and raining.
Ros had MORE PLUG PLANTS turn up this morning from QVC. So while she is out, I have been down and filled 10 pots with compost and planted them. The container they were in were mark A,B,C. etc so I have marked each pot accordingly. She has a list of each plant so she will know which is which. ARN'T I A GOOD BOY ;-) ;-) ;-)
Any news on the MOT Mel ?? and hows the weather down your way.
Those rollers were a wonderfull invention. We had them for our cats. Ros would clear him off the sofa and roller away all his hair, and then he would go back again. BLESS !!
So you have OH at it then Ann ?? I looked at my veg patch when I was down the garden. I think the best it will get this year is a rake over and planted with whatever seed I have. The runners will take pride and place along the fence and greenhouse.
Good job Ros is only having her nails done and not her hair. She would be like a drowned RAT in all this rain.
I bet Ann is caught up in it, if it's raining up there. :-( :-(
Has anyone heard from Fiona. I saw Kim and Shirl on FB so I guess they are well.
Back to my book while it's quiet, see you later.

Didn't see you there Liz, I am glad you had a nice morning and lunch. For supper last night I had a melody of sea foods, mussels, prawns, crab and crab sticks, srimps and a bit of squid. I put some seafood sauce on it, it went down a treat with a cold Larger. It's a pitty not being able to sit out this afternoon. It doesn't seem that it's going to improve this week, so plenty of time to catch up with the T.V programmes.
Mel, How nice to still have your grandfathers gold watch. Ros has two or three of her dads watches, she will pass them on to Harvey and Conrad. Lewis can have mine. MORBID OLD BU##ER aren't I.???

Evening all,
Well we've had sun and showers all day ,i did hang washing out after lunch but it hadn't been out long before down came the rain so i got them all in and they are still in the basket . Went shopping for a few bits called in to Jolleys and bought a collar ,a ball and a rubber ring for Max ,just need to get a disc for his collar and we're all sorted ,well until i see some thing else he might need :-D
I think the Durrells is going to be good ,i loved the old sailor boy !! he thought he was on to a good thing until she got the gun out LOL and he wasn't going to go until he had some thing to eat .
No Gill yet ,i expect she's still fast asleep after all the box shifting ,i hope it's all sorted now Gill.
Hope the car has passed it's MOT Mel .
You have been good Frank sorting out all the A B C 's i hope you've got them all in right order . We bought some Tomato seeds today ,i've never grown them from seed before we've always bought the plants . Forgot to look for the Cucumber seeds we thought we might try them from seed too. Can anyone help me ,the Cucumber plants we usually buy are female plants ,so can you buy female seed ? I bet Mel will be able to tell me . :-)

Yes Mel will tell you Mandy. You buy f1 seed and it should say on the packet that they are all female flowers. I usually buy the small cue seed as they are handy as you use just the one or two if you need more. You get loads and loads of the plants too. When you pot them up after their first 3" pot per plant bury them a little deeper as they will grow roots from the stem.
Well the sun has put in an appearance here and its turned out quite nice this evening.
Sausages for dinner and not sure whether to do a toad or just sausage and mustard mash and peas.
I have the dentist tomorrow afternoon so am going to Lidl after. The only thing is I can't get everything I want in there................ :-| :-| :-| I think I am ok for meat and I must'nt forget their macaroni cheese as I like that when oh has one of his curries that don't agree with me. I have a couple of grilled lamb chops I bought last week with it as they were on offer so I bought two packs of two.

I would'nt be able to wear my gt grandads watch on a chain around my neck or my chin would be weighed down to the floor. :-S It's a huge pocket watch not a wrist watch.
I could never understand why grandad gave mum all gt grandads stuff. She had his ring with a huge diamond in it which she had made into an engagement type ring and the watch chain into a neckless and stuff the watch into a jewelry case. Why not give a peice to each child as he had three children. I suppose mum being the eldest he just gave it all to her. There was a couple more small lighter watch chains which she gave to me that I wear as a neckless with my paternal grandfathers sovereign case on which has his Muandy Money in it.

Evening All It has just started pouring here and is soooo dark.I don't think it has been very warm either today. Nice lunch Liz :-D,shame the rain came :-S
So you have your appointment Frank. That is good :-D :-D
Puppy escape proof garden Mandy :-D it is a must as they can be off in second if your back is turned.I was always panicking when Chester was a Pup as with our big hedge he would often disappear into it and I could never be sure that he wouldn't get through the fence behind into next door.He was a little so and so though. If he got the chance and the front door was open he would leg it....go through the front hedge, run across next doors lawn ,out onto the pavement and then into the drive of the house 2 doors down .I would chase after him and find him whining at their door.He only wanted to see Meg(the Collie) :-D :-D.But my heart would be in my mouth just in case he had run into the road.
I must invest in one of those Sticky Roller Brushes. They do sound good.
I was in stitches earlier.Fitz called in just to make sure all is well for Wednesday.I will be driving Ann :-D..Anyway he tried to unlock his car and the drivers door was stuck. He had to climb in and over from the passenger side.......but he got stuck !!!!!.He had got half way across and lifted his other leg but his foot got stuck on the windscreen.By this time his head was on the drivers seat and all I could see was the bottom of his shoe on the window LOL.I called for Chris, but by the time he got there Fitz had managed to free himself..It was just like watching a contortionist !!!!!!!.Honestly he does get himself into some pickles.
Thomas has had a rabbit.Chris saw him go under the hedge with it....When Thomas eventually came out he could hardly move..He must have gorged and was so full.
Are you still ok for Wednesday Ann?.Usual time of 12.30 :-D.I am going to have a look at the menu tonight.
I thought the Durrells was really good.I had to watch it this morning as I nodded off last night.I did see Undercover and like you Liz I think it is going to be a good one :-D I thought the young Gerald Durrell looked just like a miniature Philip Schofield LOL
Lemon Sole tonight(yes even for me who is not a big fish fan).Dauphinoise Potatoes,Roasted Baby Courgettes,Baby Carrots,Baby Leeks and Mushrooms, and Spinach. I don't really like Spinach but I had some for Hannah so am using what is left.(Chris can have it)
I think it is James and Jess's last night in Stockholm tonight...I wonder if they have any money left !!!!!.Hopefully they have had a lovely time.

We're watching Michael Portillo, again!! He's so soothing and knowledgeable, so is always a favourite with us! Oh gosh Mel, I had my S Fathers fob watch and his fathers and you certainly couldn't worn them as a necklace!!! I sold them as our son wouldn't have wanted them and Ian didn't either!! Just finished supper and cleared up. I don't know where all the washing up comes from as there's only two of us! I've nearly filled the dishwasher again and I only emptied it this morning! I've got the hygienist tomorrow morning, then Tescos for a few bits including some drink. Think Ian will stay here as he's busy with a project!!

Evening all,
Soaps from 7.00 till 9.00 so I am out of the way.
Jane it's a wonder Fitz could manage to get himself out of that mess. It might have ween a firemans job ;-) ;-) Tearhat would have been a story for the Evening Telegraph. I see there was a road rage on the A 14 a BMW and a Mercedes. one bloke took a cricket bat to the other. The police are wanting witnesses.
We will have to see about setting seeds for the tomato's. We tend to buy Cuecumber plants, not that they alwats survive.
Talking of pets getting lose reminded me of when I lived on Barton Road. My two children had pet rabbits, both white and very fiesty. They got out one morning and went through the hedge in the neighbours garden. I crawled through the hedge, and they were going along all his new baby veg plants. They cleared the lot. He was a butcher, part of Bedford and Bosworth. He was Bosworth and as deaf as a post. It was very difficult for me to apologies and make him understand. I often think of those times.
"How many sleeps is it now" Mandy before Max joins the family. I love to hear children say that.
We had visitors yesterday from the two boys who lived next door. Ros always buys them an Easter Egg, so they came round to say THANK YOU. Ros was over the moon. It's the youngest's birthday in May he will be FIVE. Such a sweet boy. !!
The new series starts at 9.00 pm Marcella. It looks like it might be good but it's over EIGHT WEEKS. A long time between episodes. I can understand why people record the series and watch it in a couple of afternoons.
Still no Fiona, and Gill is late today. Where ae you girls ??
Home alone again tomorrow. Ros is at LINUS. She has 19 blankets/covers to take back, and will bring a load of materials back for the next months sewing. She's taking Carolyn to hospital Wednesday and is at "Stitchery do" on Thursday. So we might have a day together on Friday. !!!
See you in the morning all, enjoy your evening.

Jane I had a look at the menu earlier.........Thomas would be well pleased with one of the main courses!!! lol. :-D Fancy Fitz getting stuck like that! I told OH after I got this car that there was no way I could get from the passenger seat to the driver's seat in it!!!! I was thinking if someone parked close to the driver's door that I might have to try that, but the gear tunnel is high and the roof low!! :-S Fitz will be all aches and pains by Wednesday after his acrobatics then and the blood rushing to his head!! lol.
This morning I went to the nursery the other side of the village and it was packed with cars and bedlam there as they have all their seedling pots, bedding and basket plants ready. After, I decided to come through the top of the village to get home......mistake! It's very narrow and winding in the old bit of the village anyway and the old cottages come to the edge of the road. The cable people were working there and vehicles were having an awful job to get through around the cable van. I had to stay perched where I was as there wasn't room for me to turn round. Luckily, or not, once I could move I was diverted up one of the old cobbled village tracks. It looked no wider than our double bed and an old boy walking on the narrowest strip of pavement obviously thought the same as he pressed himself against a wall as I squeezed slowly by him. Then by the old surgeon's big house whose daughter I discovered from old newspapers had committed suicide I met a white van rushing round a bend and had to gingerly drive through enormous potholes to get round it! I shall be giving that route a miss for a couple of weeks now!! It's a good job they don't lay the cables very deep as the old bit of the village is built on a granite hill and they had to use the quarrymen to dig the road through years ago.
Frank I went up to McCarthur Glen off junction 28 of the MI this afternoon and on the way back it poured with rain. It was so heavy for a while on the motorway I couldn't see the lane white lines at all, so just hoped the car I was following was on the right bit of the road! I bought 3 tops and some art stuff and got OH the academics diary he wanted for his clerking. Now I wish I'd bought some red ballerina style shoes I saw. they had a small dogtooth pattern on them and red patent toecaps.
