Evening all,
Yes Jane she shuffles along almost as though she it trying to run. Her arms tend to be straight out, as though she is feeling ahead of herself. She will be 72/3 in September.
Ros is very worried about her, and has been for at least a year now, Everytime she mentions it to Tony, he says OH SHE'S ALRIGHT. I looked out at 7.00 pm and his car had gone, so he's down the pub. I bet he is eating down there, what poor Val will have, I just don't know.
I am not going to let Ros get to involved with next door. He is quite capable to look after himself and Val, If I let Ros step in, he will sit back and let her do it.
Looking forward to seeing Max on Monday Many. !!!

Evening All,
Oh how exciting Mandy!! You'll get nothing done on Monday, just be playing with Max! :-) Yes, we'll want to see a pic of him!
I've had a lazy day today. Well, I've been busy doing paperwork and sorting out an ISA! I did go to M&S this afternoon to take a top back and realised halfway there that I'd not picked the bag up with the top in!!! :-S
It's good your loft is all done now Gill and what a bargain the ottoman was. I love painting things like that but would want to do a pattern on it! It sounds ideal for Sandra to put some of her things in.
Oh Frank I wouldn't start cooking for nextdoor or it will be a full time job before you know it! It is a shame for Val though if he gets himself breakfast while he's out and doesn't bother how she will manage.
Off to watch some telly now as I can hear OH making a move!

Those poor dogs Jane, they were so lucky to have been found when they were. It doesn't bare thinking about, what would of happened if it had been any longer. That was nice of you providing drinks for the man who dug them out.
So you have yet another leak, OH was saying if you've had a new boiler then that might be causing the leaks if your pipes are old as the pressure in new boilers are a lot higher than old boilers. Hope it's sorted soon and the smell has gone now.
Fancy forgetting to take the bag with the top in Ann, had you got very far when you realised your mistake? Yes, I was thinking of painting something on the ottoman rather than keeping it just white but I'm not very good at that sort of thing, so have now decided to try and make a nice seat pad for the top then Sandra can use it as a seat if she wants. I have some seat pads over from an old sofa so I can cut one of those to size and make a nice cushion cover in pink for it, Sandra should like that. I could make the cushion cover in the same material as the curtains, so they'll match.
Sandra and I are looking forward to seeing some pictures of Max and hearing all about him Mandy. I know Sandra will be asking about him all the time as she loves animals. She loves seeing pictures of Cass and is always asking about her.
Signing out now, see you all tomorrow Night Night

Morning Mandy, morning all
Sunny here today but lots of sand everywhere from the Sahara desert, they said it was coming over with all the wind we've had recently, so now the greenhouse needs a good wash and no doubt the car too, OH has gone to work in that so I won't know how bad it is till he gets home later, so that'll be a nice job for OH to do if it doesn't rain and gets washed away that way.
2 sleeps to go, as Sandra would say, Mandy before you have little Max. I bet you can't wait? :-) :-) <3
I've done the second coat of paint on the ottoman this morning so it looks like that's finished apart from the lid, that is going to need a few more coats as it was brown in colour not white like the rest of it. When I'd finished that I woke Sandra up and said would you like to sort out your boxes?.....well, she shot out of bed all excited and is going through all her things now, saying it's like Christmas......bless her. She's getting through them quite quickly so it should all be sorted soon. I've had to put the sorted stuff, e.g... CD;s and DVD's in one box then photo's in another etc... as the ottoman isn't ready for her yet, so it'll make it easier for her to find her things later.
I had a thought this morning about swapping my wardrobe over for Sandra's they are both the same except I have two shelves in mine whereas she has none. She needs the shelves and I want to use the other one for putting the Christmas tree and decorations in, so having no shelves in there is better for me. It now saves OH a job of putting shelves into Sandra's wardrobe, so we're all happy.....or at least OH will be happy when we tell him later ;-) ;-)
So apart from helping Sandra with all her stuff, I've got quite a quiet day ahead of me for a change. What is everyone else up to? It sounds like you've got your day organised to Mandy :-) :-)

Good morning all, Evening Kim,
Mandy we have the sunshine at the moment, but I see the forecast is not that good.
Ros has gone rounf to Carolyn's to hang her washing out, before going to meet Martine. I hope the rain holds off till she comes back to take it in later.
His "LORDSHIP" next door hasn't gone out this morning, I suppose he is having to get Val washed and dressed before he can. !!
TWO MORE SLEEPS Mandy, then you will have your beautiful MAX, All us animal lovers on here are envious, give him a big cuddle from me on Monday.
Ann there is a saying "you have a head like a sieve" I think that fits you <3 <3 <3
Gill, You can buy transfers to put on the ottoman, I think B & Q do them, but I am sure you will find something that Sandra likes.
West Ham play Arsenal at 12.45 pm K.O. it's on BT SPORT. So I can either go to the pub or watch it on my own here. You won't believe it, but I haven't been to the pub for over TWO WEEKS. in fact I don't think I have been out !!!!
The forecast isn't good for you then Mel, 50/60 M.P.H winds with heavy rain. Batten down the chickens, or they will be blown away.
Ros has just popped back for the shopping list. She asked where the washing was to go out. She said she washed it last night and put it round the radiators. She didn't bother to let Ros know :-| :-| :-|
Shower and shave calling so will see you later.

Morning all and evening KIm,
We have sunshine and then clouds come over but we don't have gales YET. Its been raining a bit in the night as the road is wet.
Saw Mr Hog twice last night, the second time I was watching the bowl when it walked all down the side of the pool on the polystyrene and off into the darkness by the bantams houses.
Oooooo not long now till that lovely puppy arrives then Mandy. You must be so excited by now. I can just imagine that puppy smell when you give them a cuddle. You'll have to find an old dirty jumper of yours and tie it in knots for him, some thing that smells of you to give him comfort as he will miss his brothers and sisters at first.

Sandra has got some pink stickers Frank that look a bit like diamonds, so instead of putting them on the ottoman, just incase the ottoman needs painting again in the future, we're going to put some on the pink vase I bought for her arrangement I'm going to make. Fancy Carolyn not letting Ros know she'd already sorted the washing out, it would of saved Ros some time, especially now she's checking on Val as well. Poor Ros she never gets a break does she? So West Ham are playing Arsenal today then? You'll have to let me know the score as OH supports the Gunners.
That's a good idea Mel, having a jumper of Mandy's to comfort Max while he gets used to being away from his sibling's. I remember when we got Pixie, our youngest cat, she was only about nine weeks old and she spotted herself in the mirror and started crying, if that's the right choice of word, she must of thought it was one of her siblings, it was so sad to see :-(. Animals soon get used to their new surroundings though, so hopefully it won't be to long before Max feels like he's part of his new family. I'm sure he'll be spoilt and have lots of cuddles <3 So you've now seen Mr hog, we've seen quite a few here lately. OH said he saw the owl again the other night and could hear another one nearby. There's so much going on at night isn't there?
I meant to ask earlier, has anyone else got the sand that's been blown in from the Sahara? It makes quite a mess everywhere and my poor pot plants are covered. Hopefully if it rains later it'll all be washed away.

Yes I got it Mel, Sandra and I have just watched it. How lovely it must be to have the robin land and eat from your hand. Sandra loved it :-) :-) <3
We're just about to have some lunch, Sandra is getting tired now so I said to have a break, thankfully she's agreed. I did want her to have a break about an hour ago but she was to excited to stop. She's just opened the last box which is why I think she's agreed now.
We're going to sort her wardrobe out after lunch so it's easier to swap it for mine when we're ready. (I can't get to my wardrobe until the boxes have been sorted) Everything of Sandra's is more organised now, even though it's still in boxes for now as the ottoman isn't quite finished, but it shouldn't be to long before she can put her things in there then she'll be straight. I can then get on with sorting out the rest of the boxes which is going to take me quite some time as there are loads of them :-) :-) We emptied Sandra's boxes then put stuff back in boxes more organised, so now if she wants a CD she just has to go to the box marked CD's. The same with her other stuff, as it was all mixed before. My neck is playing me up again today and my shoulders are a bit sore too. I think I might of triggered it off again with picking up the heavy boxes for Sandra. So I'm ready for a rest now too :-)

Afternoon All It has just turned really cloudy now and is feeling a bit nippy.Looks like it might rain soon.So I have just lit the fire :-D..We haven't had one for a few days now.
Mandy would it be a good idea to put a little cuddly toy or 2 in with Max.He may think he still has siblings :-D..I think we are all getting excited for you now :-D :-D.I reckon you are right in saying you won't get much done in the house once he arrives lol..It's like having a new baby isn't it.
I hope Tony is pulling his weight Frank and looking after Val properly. You will have to have a sneaky peak through their windows LOL. Fancy Caroline not letting Ros know she didn't need her help with the washing :-S.Ros could have done without that extra visit.
Gill that sounds a good idea swapping the wardrobes around. But iit is more work again for you.How is your neck today? We haven't had any of the Sahara sand..it makes such a mess when it does arrive and just covers everything :-S :-S..Even the rain doesn't always seem to shift it.
Mel is it just the one Hog that you see? I seem to remember or think that you mentioned 2 the other day?..But then I might have imagined it.
Chris has power washed at the side of the house where he made a mess filling gaps in the house bricks with mortar(sp). We have a couple of damp patches come through on the wall in the lounge....But now I have just noticed the side window !!!!!!!!! It is splattered :-| :-|.....I'm not going out now to clean it,so am hoping we do get a bit of rain :-D I have had a good cleaning splurge this afternoon..Got to have a clean place for Janice and Larry tomorrow. Not that they would bother if it was a bit mucky..Chris always says I behave as thought the Queen is coming.I have only really hoovered and dusted and had a go at sweeping cobwebs.WHERE THE HECK TO THEY ALL APPEAR FROM !!!!!!..Filthy things :-S :-S The Lamb has been defrosting fine.I will take it out of the fridge tonight just to make sure it is ok by the morning.I went and got all the veg and potatoes this morning and some scones and CLOTTED CREAM for tea.I made sure we had plenty of Strawberry Jam. I tried to get the Rhodda clotted cream Mel but they didn't have any.So it had to be Tesco Finest which is still very good.
Chris and I are having Scampi ,Chips,Peas and Asparagus tonight.....Jess is cooking her and James a Japanese Spread !!!!!.............I just cleaned the kitchen !!!!..Jess has to be the messiest person in the kitchen. So they had better clean up well tonight.Other wise there will be stong words....I will do a Frank :-D

Well i now have a nice clean oven so i'am glad thats all done . Still raining but it's now turned into that fine drizzle .
Sounds as if the ottoman is coming on a treat Gill and Sandra will be pleased when when it's all ready so she can get all her things in it , it would look nice with the seat in the same material as the curtains . No sign of any sand here ,i think if we've had any it's been washed away with the rain !!
Frank i bet Ros wasn't to pleased to find the washing was all sorted after going there to do it for her ,she must getting tired with all this backwards and forwards for other people ,she'll be wearing herself out .
Yes that's a good idea Mel having an old jumper for Max i shall have to sort one out . I did ring the chap this morning to see what time we could pick him up on Monday and he was at the vets with them all ,they have had their vaccination and been chipped and we will have a form to fill in to register him for the chip. We are picking him up about one o'clock on Monday ,just got to get him a bag of Royal Canin dog food and we're all ready .
Jane i do have one or two cuddly toys for him :-D

I did think that might have a few cuddly toys LOL
Gill I didn't see your post saying that your neck was still bad.You do need to try and rest up a bit.(even though I know you find it hard to :-D ).You just need to pace yourself...I might have already said that in another post :-S

Morning all and evening Kim,
Well its sunny here but the wind is blowing..............................and its from the east a bit so the kitchen smells of oil from the boiler. Oh had it on ffor me to warm the house up but I could'nt stand the smell so I have turned it off. If I get old out here I shall turn my little oil filled rad on. It is under my desk so my legs get nice and warm.
So what are you all up to today then apart from Jane as we all know she will be cooking for the family. Hope the lamb cooks up nicely for you Jane and I know you will enjoy your company and have a good old chin wag with your sister.

We're fine here, but had a near catastrophe when we went to our daughter for the day! To cut a story short, while we were there she went upstairs to bring the Hoover down and tripped on the flex, and fell from top to bottom of her stairs!! We had to get a an ambulance as she banged her head twice which gave cause for concern but luckily no bones broken and after an Xray, no head damage. Poor little boy was frightened out of his wits, and the girls were very upset. It was so lucky we were there! We didn't get home till the next day! Fortunately the chap who looks after Merlin when we're away was able to come up a see to him, so all in all, could have been a lot worse. Nasty cold wind today, hospital on Tuesday, never a dull moment here!!

Morning all
Sunny here today but not very warm. I've just fed another squirrel so Sandra and I are watching her running up and down the garden burying the nuts. I think it might be Rosie's daughter as she has the same limp paw as Rosie. They're both cute and lovely to watch, especially when they are in the garden together as they chase each other all over the place.
It's 8 years ago today since we moved in here........how time flies.
I hope your lamb thawed out ready for your meal later Jane. Will you be cooking it slowly for a few hours? I do that and the meat just falls off the bone. I think Frank cooks his that way too. Hope you have a great time with your sister.
I've put another coat of paint on the lid of the ottoman, but after going through Sandra's things everything she has is far to heavy to put in it, so I'm going to use it for my material when I find it amongst all the boxes I've yet to sort out. My neck is feeling a bit better today so I've sorted out Sandra's CD's and DVD's for her and they are now in a cupboard in her room. She had all sorts in the cupboard and most of it needed throwing away, so I put a shelf in there and put her DVD's at the bottom and her CD's at the top. She said it's much better for her and there is still some room left over in case she has more CD's and DVD's in the future. She still has some boxes of other things so we might have to buy another cupboard tomorrow to put everything in.
I didn't want to chance putting her belonging in the ottoman incase the bottom broke. She would of been so upset if that had happened, so a new stronger cupboard will be bought for her so we can finish sorting her things out. I wanted to sort out Sandra's room first as it's going to take me a while to go through everything else and I didn't think it was fair having her wait to long. She is so happy and can't wait for it all to be finished :-) :-) <3
So apart from sorting out Sandra's things I don't really have anything else planned for the day Mel. Sandra and I might watch a DVD we found yesterday, if we get the time later.
