I think you keep your no claims bonus when you change your car Jane, as its for your driving record not a particular vehicle. We didn't lose ours when we went down to one car, our no claims bonus was transferred to our new car without any problems. |

I hope dear little Max settles tonight and you don't have to keep getting up to him. Brave it and leave him to whine. Good Luck...........xxx <3 |

Sorry Jane, I thought you were talking about changing your car!! I think you mean changing your insurance company!! Even so, Frank and Ann are right, your NCB gets transferred to your new company, as it's for your driving record so you take it with you. |

A well wrapped up hot water bottle gives comfort to a pup just leaving its family too. |

Hope you managed a bit of sleep Mandy!! I think the first night is the worse!! We had Cas in bed with us on night one!!! Next night she slept down by the side of Ian with his hand on her! We did this for a couple of nights then moved her to the other side of the room (more sqeaks!) We then put her in the utility where she'd been in the day, and amazingly she immediately settled! All this took about a week! Good luck!! |

Liz, when Cas was first home was she on four meals a day ? I was wondering if i should take his water away at night a couple of hours after his last feed ,because he's getting up for water and then having a wee , he needs water with the biscuits though so i don't want to take the water away if he needs it because the biscuits swell in his tummy . |

Having a little bed of his own, Max should settle anywhere once he gets used to it Mandy. Anne's suggestion of a heat pad under him should help as he's probably used to mum's warmth. |

Hi Mandy. Cas was on four meals a day when she was tiny. What I did was measure out what she needed for the day and divide it, feeding her at about 8.am, again at 12.30, 5ish, and then about 8. She was on beta puppy which she has only just come off, but I sometimes mixed a portion of scrambled egg and/or rice in with it which she loved, also chicken! I always left water down, and at first either got up in the night(!!) to put her out, or mopped up!!! She went through the night fairly soon, but I can remember putting her out first thing before doing anything else, and last thing as late as possible; mind you we still do! At first It was a bit on the hour every hour for quite a while. She was about 6 months before she was completely dry, although the accidents got far less as time went on. I think it's a bit of a case of playing it a by ear, and working out a routine that suits you both!! |

Oh forgot to say, we have a little boy squirrel in our garden now, so I've just given him some nuts. Sandra and I sat on the bench watching him. He was bit nervous at first but soon took the nuts and started burying them in our garden. Sandra and I left him to it after a while, he's still running around the garden, Sandra is made up, bless her <3 I think word has got around in the squirrel world as we seem to be getting quite a few timid ones now, I wonder if they're all from the same family? Sandra loves it. |
