Afternoon All it is getting really dark here now.I reckon we might have rain shortly. We had it over night but nothing so far today.
Mel I don't know about those tablets you take. But if you have taken 2 yesterday maybe the best thing would be to miss today..I don't really know.Is Ann not on the same tablets? maybe she can advise on that.
Great news for Richard Anne :-D..Does he have yearly/six month checks? James is back to work but I don't think he feels 100%.He is going down to Kent to Jess tonight as they are going to some play in London tomorrow night.
David ,are you on good terms with your neighbours? Maybe you could ask if they have any problems and just explain yours.Thay may also know if you are on shared drainage.
Liz we haven't any Swallows here yet.Is it because you ae further south that you have them first?
Mandy I hope is good with SIL after todays op.I wonder what bit of bone might have broken of your OH's hip?Fingers crossed it will show up on the scan. How is Max behaving..Any more chewing? :-D
Mel do you remember the photo Ann took some years ago of the little bird on the wing mirror on her car? :-D :-D..(I think it was Ann)
Well I reek of bleach.I have been trying to clean the grouting on the tiles around the bath .In fact the whole house stinks of bleach :-S.Got all the ironing done and sorted Hannahs room as she is back again tomorrow. She will be here there and everywhere this weekend and basically just here to sleep I think.I'm not even sure if she will be in for a meal.
MEL Chris says just take pill as normal. But if you don't take todays it won't matter.
Gill,OH has got a good break from work :-D..Even though I am sure he will have plenty to be getting on at home ,just to have a break from the home will be good.
I think I have missed some posts from today so better scroll back and have a good look :-D

I thought I had better pop in to let you know I am still in the land of the living.. . Computer still playing up. I've typed this three times.
I have had another lazy day. Didn't get up till 10.00 am. The only thing I have done is copy about 125 pages of songs for Ros. New songs for the choir.
Not read any posts. Might pop back later.

They're not MMA. When we bought this bungalow, almost 5 years ago, the man of the house was seriously ill. I did not know that. As various peoples working in my bungalow, noisily, the man's health worsened. I accidently wrecked my left left leg. When I eventually came out of hospital work was in progress . Demolition of iunternal walls, fitting kitch, installing fight of stairas to my upper rooms, noisily. The neighbour died. I never actually got talking ith that family. Wonder if I ever will in myb circumstances. Had I known how ill he was I would have delayed the work. Had I known the extremity of his illness I might well have bought else where :-( :-( That's the way it is :-S
And some how I feel guilty.... could have showed more respect

David what is MMA? You certainly shouldn't feel guilty about having all that work done on your house, even if you didn't realise how ill the man was.I am sure that would have not contributed to his death...If things had been to noisy/intrusive surely the family would have said something .
So Frank ,an easy day for you other than copying all those pages of songs for Ros. At least that kept you out of mischief :-D :-D.You say you didn't get up until 10 .Was that because you actually had a good nights sleep? or because of a broken one?

LOL Mandy I should have guessed that. David you will have to start calling Mandy Mandy and not MMA lol you are getting me confused :-S Stones are so fascinating for young pups Mandy.Chester used to do that.I was always rubbing my fingers around the inside of his mouth to get any out.The worry is if they swallow them :-S OH will be relieved he has got the scan done now.Hopefully you won't have to wait weeks for the results !!.
James still looks ropey. But insists he is fine .So is now getting himself sorted for going off to Jess tonight.I have said to let me know when he arrives ..just a little text.I know he thinks I am a worry wort. But that's what Mums are like :-) Macaroni Cheese for me tonight and a Fish Pie for Chris. No pans needed :-D and micro veg...Suits me fine :-D :-D

I didn't state the obvious. At a time when illness is such that death may be imminent they no doubt would have appreciated some peace and quiet not to mention respect. The timing could have been much better, with consideration and communication with my neighbour commenced MUCH earlier.
My neighbour passed on, but his grieving wife and family must have formed a poor impression of their new neighbour, me.

Mandy, I can remember Cas picking up stones and being very worried that she would swallow one. It is a problem! I did consider a muzzle(!!!) but abandoned that idea! It did stop after a while, but it was a problem. Today Cas had a dig in the rose bed!! She also ended up in her crate!!!! Today we had a bonfire, lots of wood shavings where Ian has been doing some timber milling, so we had a good clear up and lit the fire!!

I haven't read all the post yet, but I did notice your post David.
It sounds like it could be a section 24 if you and your neighbours drains go into each other, this means that it's the waterboards responsibility. When was your property built as I think if it was in the 1920's/30's you are covered? It might be worth giving your waterboard a ring. We had problems with our drains and that's how we found out about the section 24 as the front of our property was covered by that so we didn't have to pay to get that part of the drain fixed. Unfortunately the back and part of the side of the property wasn't covered but it was covered by our insurance, so maybe you could have a word with them too, then you could get the problem fixed a lot cheaper as you'd probably only have the access on your insurance to pay. I hope this helps.
I'm off to bed now, so will catch up with the other post tomorrow. Sleep well everyone Night Night

Evening All,
Had a busy day, beading this morning then we went to see the new Jungle Book film OH wanted to see. To be honest I preferred the original one, not too keen on these realistic talking animals. I also thought it would be rather scary for little ones as I jumped out of my skin a few times!! The cost was a bit of a shock too........didn't know they charged more on the first day it was shown!!!
Mel, my car has a proper spare wheel well in the boot plus a strap to hold it in safely under the floor. If it hadn't I could have put it in the boot as the boot is big for the type of car. Yes, even back in 1999 my peugeot 206 only had a space saver narrow spare wheel as did my car I had before this new one. In 2005 my Renault just had a spray thing and no spare wheel of any kind. OH's Citroens have all had a full size spare including his current car and which is much more sensible.
I see Jane has passed on that it was ok to take it your tablet Mel. I think I would have left it off today if I'd taken 2 yesterday. It's always a problem to know what to do if that happens isn't it and I bet you couldn't believe you'd done it. The other week I forgot my morning tablets.........when OH came in chatting as I was about to take them!!
Off to watch some tv now. I'm off to a village hall art exhibition in the morning so will need to be up early.

O what a naughty boy picking up stones. I think all puppies seem to do that and it is a worry. When I worked for the PDSA they had a frame up in the laboratory with all the things that dogs had swallowed and had to be opened up to get them out. There was stones of course and rubber balls a dolls head keys bottle tops even needles and nails and other things I can't remember now.
Have you heard anything from your sister now Mandy to see how she got on. What did Colin's scan show about the piece of bone?
Mandy have you used your Fire Stick yet???? I am watching Outlander serise 1 at the moment.
Frank it is quite alright to hae a lazy day and not do anything much..........but 125 songs sounds an awful lot!!!
Cas only thought she was helping you with the garden Liz........ :-S
the Blue Tit came back again. It has messed all over my door and the top of the mirror when it goes to look round the back to see where that darned bird went.

Morning Everyone
Hope you all had a good nights sleep.
Pouring down with rain here today, so I will be having a lazy day as I did all the things that needed doing yesterday and David has offered to cook a risotto later. I was hoping to do some gardening and Richard was going to clean the pond filters.
Mandy, I expect Max will have lots of new admirers when you take him to the vets, everybody loves a puppy and he is so adorable.
Just going to get some breakfast and another COT

Not a good night for me .I woke about 2 .30 for the loo, and began sneezing.Went back to bed but couldn't sleep. So got up and had a cup of tea.Since then I have a full blown cold :-S :-S..Where did that come from? I was fine when I went to bed last night. So I ended up staying down stairs watching WDYTYA (USA) ,2 episodes of that ,Rapid Response and something else that I can't remember.I might have dropped off then. Two mugs of Tea,a Mug of Mint Tea and then about 5.30 a bowl of cereal and a big pile of wet tissues and sore nose lol. So I don't think I will be doing a lot today. Mayve your David would like to do a Risotto for me Ann.I love Risotto :-D
I wonder what Max will make of the Vets Mandy.Everyone in the waiting room will be ooing and ahhing over him :-D :-D

Morning all
Sunny here but cold and there are a few dark clouds around so we might get some rain later. The weather forecast said we might even get some snow, it's cold enough for it.
Sorry to hear you're not well Jane, a steamy bath should clear your blocked nose. Hope you feel better soon. You'll be needing a sleep later, it sounds like you didn't get much last night.
How nice that Cas did okay the other day Liz, I'm sure she'll be as good as her sister in no time.
Pleased to hear Richard's appointment went well and he doesn't need to go back for six months, you must both be relieved Anne. How nice for David to cook for you, having a lodger has it's benefits then? :-D ;-)
Hope Colin's scan went okay for him Mandy, does he know how he might of broken the bone, it must be so painful? Lets hope it's not to long before they can sort it out for him. Glad to hear your sister's op went well, hope she has a speedy recovery <3 So Max is going to the vets again, he'll be fussed over by everyone when he gets there. Did he sleep well last night?
Have you sorted your tablets out now Mel, so you're back on track with them? Can I ask, what are you doing with the pheasant egg, the one you found, you never said? Is there a way you can keep it warm so it might hatch? That would be lovely if you could :-)
You've been busy Frank, 125 pages of songs, that must of took you a while. What type of songs are they? How are you feeling now, have the shakes stopped?
How did you get on at your beading Ann, what are you making now? I didn't know it was more expensive to watch a film on the first day either. At least you know for next time.
OH has just taken some more stuff to the charity shops so I'm going through a few more boxes now I have a bit more space to work in. I think it's going to take quite some time to get through them all. There's so much stuff, I'm beginning to wonder why we kept it all in the first place. Never mind once it's all done we'll only have what we really need.
I made a 1000 piece puzzle years ago and had it framed which has gone to the charity shop as it's to big for our walls.....they loved it and thought it was very unusual. It was a night scene of a harbour somewhere, can't remember where now, but there were lots of lights on it and some beautiful colours, I bet it's been sold already.
Well, I'd better get back to these boxes, OH and I want to watch the F1 qualifying in a couple of hours, so I can't get in the way of the TV. Might have a COT first ;-)

Morning all, Evening Kim,
Wet horrible day here also. Ros went of 9.45 to see Martine and pick up new back door lock for the car. That will be fitted Friday by our local garage.
Those songs I coppied were actually 6 songs with various number of pages to each song. I had to do two lots, as one was for Val. so might have been more than 125 pages.
I had to open my big mouth yesterday. Carolyn phoned to speak to Ros, and I said "Do you want dinner on Sunday" Oh yes please, I will supply the meat. She is sending round a double RIB OF BEEF. with Ros, when she drops her shopping off later.
Still not read all the posts but have some rough idea what's been said.
Glad your OHs scan went O.K. Mandy and little "bugger lugs" is playing you up. That's what PUPPY'S DO lol lol.
David I souldn't blame yourself for your neighbours death. I am sure his family would have had a quite word, had it disturbed him.
Thanks fot talking about tablets, I haven't had mine yet this morning.!!!
Jane, Whenever we visit one of the boys, we always give them two rings when we get home and vis versa. It puts your mind at rest.
Ros is the TAXI service again on Monday. Tony and Val next door are off on a coach holiday to Wales, and need a lift to the bus station in Northampton.
Gill you are the lucky one if you have SUNSHINE, Looking out the back, the clouds are as black as thunder.
I won't be going to the pub today, just can't be bothered. So will go back to my armchair and watch the match here.
I have been in touch with the local council, who have put me in touch with "GARDEN BUDDIES" local volunteer group. It will cost me £15.00 to joing and £7.00 per hour for as many men as they send. NOT PER PERSON. PER SESSION. They will do everything in the garden., from mowing to weeding, trimming etc. So I am expecting the PACK from them next week, and will take it from there. It will certainly take the strain off Ros and me, trying to keep on top of everything.
TABLET TIME. !!!
