Oh it's your Sister Mandy..Sorry I kept saying your SIL :-S.She didn't have her op until later in the day did she so maybe one more night in hospital juat to make sure all is well. Black here too now ..Thomas thankfully has just come in (I can go to bed now). But he has the wind up his tail and has 'that look'.I daren't move just in case he pounces :-S I could do with your crate Mandy :-D..Max is using up all his puppy energy then I see !!
Frank I think James must be fine now.He should be at some weird new play in London right now.Yes I think I must have got this cold from him :-S....But this spray I bought this morning seems to be brilliant :-D.My nose has stopped dripping and I don't feel so stuffed up.I'll see how the night goes. Mmmm Hannah was not impressed to see Thomas with his dinner.I think she was really quite shocked.I told her to get used to it LOL'cos he isn't going to change .I think it was just unfortunate she just happened to be here just at the wrong time. She has gone now for the night. She will stay at her friends tonight and then go straight to meet up with other friends tomorrow .So I said she may as well take my car now rather than come home by taxi in the morning to pick it up..The good thing is ,if she isn't here tonight I might sleep in her bed and keep my cold to myself :-D I am watching BGT whllst typing this and have the biggest grin on my face after seeing the young lad with a real Essex? accent and singing just out of this world !!!! (like the old fashioned crooners ) :-D :-D.He was brilliant. I think I will switch off here now .Thomas has crashed so that is a good reason for me to go up to bed now.I won't be putting him out tonight. It's raining.
See you all tomorrow.

BIL just rang my sister had a bad night with strong shooting pains in her knee and terrible back ache so she's in for another night ,BIL said she was so upset because she couldn't come home ,i think the anesthetic makes you feel weepy , i told BIL that she's in the right place and if the pain gets worse then at least they can treat it with some thing stronger which she wouldn't have if she was at home.
I just had a feeling that after an op like that coming out the next day was a bit quick.

I thought it was quick too when you told us she would be out the next day. I hope she is'nt in so much pain tomorrow Mandy and can caome home. There's nothing like home when you are under the weather from an op or even if you don't feel well.
So Max has had you on the run today. Don't forget the magic word when you see him about to chew something......NO Max. It works after a little while and you get some lovely looks that say I know I should'nt but I am just testing you!!
We've had a lovely day here today but the wind is enough to cut you in half it is so cold. Tonight it has dropped.

Morning all,
Beautiful morning here at the moment blue sky and big white clouds but rather nippy out as Mandy said. There was a frost last night here too.
Mandy he will soon get used to the church bells. Just think how loud they sound to that little fella with accute hearing.
Nothing planned for today but I may do a bit of ironing and I have to give those clothes a bit of a go in the dryer and have another look to see if there is any hair left on them. If there is they will go bac k in the wash.

Morning All WE have a mix of Sun and big clouds today.Hoping that the clouds will clear off but I'm not sure they will.
Mandy I hope your Sister had plenty of painrelief last night and she was able to get some sleep.Fingers crossed for her that she is able to go home today..I tend to cry buckets after an anaesthetic .
I wonder what Max will think of the hoover!.Chester hated it and always tried to bite the front of it :-S.He never did get used to it.The same with the lawn mower.Apparently some dogs are more sensitive to noise than others.I bet he will get used to those bells. You are very close to the church aren't you.
I have just cleaned the window sills outside. The one on the bay window has some yellow marks that look like rust(but they are plastic) What ever it is I cannot shift them. :-S :-S.They are just on one side . I must get some washing out before I forget.

Jane if they have had some that was rusty on them they would have rusty marks on from that. It could have been a nail, screw or even a spanner or something like that.
The Blue Tit is back today and has made even more mess on my car door. I shall have to wash it off as it will mark if I leave it there.
I have old chicky out in the sun and must go and check on her before I start the big breakfast.

Afternoon All,
I hope your sister can come home today Mandy and yes I found I was feeling a bit fragile after an anaesthetic too. Naughty Max is getting confident now isn't he.....well till he heard those church bells!! I expect now he's heard them the first time he won't be so bothered next time.
Jane, poor Hannah must have been traumatised by the sight of Thomas and his catch!! :-0 I really don't think I could have a cat with such strong hunting instincts, especially having had lovely pet rabbits and birds. Seeing their suffering would upset me as much as seeing a cat or dog being attacked and killed I think. :-S
That naughty bird Mel.......he's really smitten with the bird in your car mirror isn't he. Can't he tell it's a boy bird or maybe that's why he hasn't had much success with real birds??
OH is a bit grumpy today as his sciatica is playing up!! I was hoping we'd go for a walk with it being nice and sunny, but will nip out on my own to a garden centre near the reservoir where they have the type of begonias I like for the wall pots in the back garden. I'll take my camera with me too, but I expect the carpark to the reservoir will be full.

I do hope everything is ok with your Sister Mandy.Maybe you will hear something tonight. Tut Tut ,,no hoovering. ;-) ;-)...I'm sure it last a bit longer.
Hannah is back from her night out and seeing more friends today.I have a feeling she might have gone for a nap lol. James is home now too but he says he is still getting the woozy feeling on and off.
Thomas has just gone under the hedge with todays dinner :-S :-S.(I won't tell Hannah :-) )
My friend has just left a message on the answer machine so I better call her back.

I hope your sister will soon be well enough to go home Mandy, a good nights sleep in her own bed with no background noise will help her recovery.
We had roast lamb today with all the veg Yorkshires etc , the girls take the bone home for their 2 dogs so I always leave some meat on it for them, Amy and the cats have already had their share .I just eat the veg. but could tell it was tender when I carved it
Paul is hoping to sell his house and buy one of the new flats being built in the town centre. not cheap at nearly £270,000. His house is really too big for him as it has 3 bedrooms and a very large back garden also the downside being he has to park on the road outside, with the flat he will have a designated parking space and only 2 bedrooms and he will be able to walk to work as well. Hopefully it will happen smoothly for him.
I hope your dinner went down well Frank and was appreciated by everyone.
Jane so Thomas has been little game hunting again naughty boy, I hope James has started to feel better now.
Ann did you enjoy your trip to the garden centre and you bought what you wanted, I never come home empty handed when I go I always find more than I went for. Hope your OH'S sciatica has improved It can be so painful, I remember having it when I was pregnant.
It has been a lovely day here so Richard cut the grass for me, one thing I don't do.

My sister is home and in less pain ,they seem to think it was because they had left some of her tablets off so after taking them today the pain has eased , the muscle's in her leg were cramping up and she had lots of shooting pains . She has two sticks with the arm supports and she can put her foot to the floor but she has a bed down stairs as she couldn't manage the stairs yet.
It's been a lovely sunny afternoon really warm in the sun but now it's beginning to feel quite chilly out there.

I bet she is glad to be home now Mandy.I hope thay have sent her home with plenty of painkillers.Fancy not giving her enough just after the op !!!!
Anne, those flats sounds pretty expensive. But from what you say it will make sense for Paul to move into somewhere smaller now.Hopefully he will sell his house for a good price. We keep muttering about not staying here if and when planning goes ahead to demolish next door and put a road in to 63 houses !!.I just can't bare the thought of how everything will change here.We don't want to move really .If it was to happen it won't be for a long while .But if we do then we would seriously think about moving nearer my Sister down in the Cotswolds.Chris would miss this garden thats for sure.
Dinner ready ,so I need to dish up.

I hav'nt sent any pic of my daft Blue Tit yet they are still on the camera.
I wish oh would show m e howto download my camera and then I would'nt have to keep asking him to do it for me.
I have potted on my 6 tom plants and pricked out 10 lettuce into moduels. Dead headed most of the daffs that were over and see some of the nice Acropolis ones are just out and I should pick some for the house as they smell so wonderful.
Lots on the telly tonight so I shall have to save some for tomorrow.
Nice easy tea tonight, cheese and biscuits, grapes and walnuts.

I thoroughly recommend the Cotswolds Jane!!! Seriously where we live is very beautiful, 2O odd miles to a main station, and Hospital (Swindon, all motorway!), and we certainly won't be going anywhere anytime soon. I thought I wouldn't be able to bear to leave Somerset, but we've settled really well here. The trees in Malmsbury are a lot further forward than they are up here where they're still quite bare! Lots of gardening today as its been so lovely although chilly. Cas now has a rolled up strip of carpet as her latest toy! She's been running up and down our passageway with it on her nose!! She's now asleep!!

That's good news for your sister Mandy, she'll be a lot happier at home and be more comfortable with the proper amount of painkillers. The art exhibition was quite good and 1 or 2 of the artists were particularly good. One had done some views of the streets in the village which I recognised straightaway. It's a nice village next to the village where I lived as a teenager and has a pretty brook winding all through the middle of the street running through it. I noticed he was particularly good at doing brickwork and water so had a close look so I can improve mine hopefully!! lol.
Anne, the new flat sounds like a good move for Paul. It will be all clean and modern so should also cost less to run in heating etc and be less to look after. Also being handy for work means he doesn't have to rely on his car all the time. It's a win win situation isn't it. I hope it all works out for him. Yes, I found some nice bright red trailing begonias for the pots on the back wall of the bungalow. The sun is boiling there in the summer where the patio is and I've found begonias do well there as they like heat and can stand being without water better when we go away!

Its good you found the begonias you like Ann. I think its a little early for the ones I like. They are not grown from a tuba. I think they are really basket type ones but I like t hem in my greeny blue pots I bought a couple of years ago. I bought another one this year in a half size that matches the other two. MMay treat myself to more if they still have them when I go to Mole Valley.
It will be nice to talk to your sister now she's home Mandy. I do hope she heals quickly and feels much better soon.
I really should do up this parcel I have to do. Well there are two really.
Car tax is due end of the month.........................More expenspence.....Then MOT middle of May.
Ann it is always good to pick up tips off other artists but I thought your stonework in the windmill pictures was top notch.

Morning all
Very cloudy here today, not at all like the last few days when we had lovely sunshine. It seems a bit warmer today though, it must be the clouds keeping the heat in, it's been quite cold lately, even though the sun has been out. So cold that I ended up putting my heating on yesterday. I can't believe the difference since we've had the loft insulated, it's much warmer and when the heating goes off, the heat stays around for longer too.
We were busy sorting boxes out yesterday and doing some work in the garden. We've moved some of the pot plants around and cleared the top left hand corner of the garden ready for either a shed or the greenhouse. I rang the gardener, mum told me about and he's coming round tomorrow to help design the new garden, we're not really sure what we want so thought it might be a good idea to ask a professional. I'm hoping he can take the garage down, once the asbestos roof has been removed and put up new fencing to fill the gap, it'll open up the garden and give us lots more light once it's done.
I've decided I'm going to try and finish all the boxes so we can try and get this place straight ready for the gardener arriving at 5pm tomorrow. It's still upside down and everywhere is covered in dust, which I don't seem to be able to keep on top of. So lots of work to do today and tomorrow. I'll be doing most of it on my own today as OH is out, but he'll help me tomorrow, so it should all be sorted by 5pm, hopefully :-) :-)
I haven't had a chance to catch up with the post yet, so will do that later. The sun is trying to come out now which is good, still lots of clouds around though :-(

Morning all, Evening Kim,
Carolyn rang this morning in floods of tears, I passed her to Ros, who jumped in the car and went down to her. Ros then rang and asked which number she should ring for an Ambulance. I said don't mess around with the special number. RING 999. As yet I don't know what's wrong, but she has been ill on and off for the pass two weeks.
Everything went off well with dinneer apart from it being early. I completely miss timed everything.
Once again I am sorry I haven't read the posts, I can see there are plenty to catch up on.
I put the line up this morning, and when I put the first prop up, I went to walk round it to put the other one up down the bottom on the line, and tripped A##e over Head. I have really jared my knee. I wanted to get the lawns done today, but they will have to wait untill I feel less shakey.
John has just rung for Ros's Mobile Number. He needs to find out what's heppening. I think he should be with his WIFE. !!! Not relying on others like this. :-( :-( :-(
