Morning all and evening Kim,
Well the sun is shining but its still very cold out there. I have washing to do so perhaps it will dry today if the weather stays like this and we don't get any rain hail or snow....
Off to strip the bed now.

Morning All
<3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDRA <3.......Have a lovely day out with Mum and Dad and enjoy spending all your birthday money :-D :-D..
James has just left to go to the wedding. It is at Aynhoe Hall.Is that your way Frank? It looks a bit of a wacky place !!!,with lots of weird stuffed animals in strange places.
The sun is out for the moment ,washing out and the next lot of bedding in the machine. I think the rain is due later on so hopefully I can get most of it dried outside. Off to the Dry Cleaners now to pick up some things.
Take it easy on that knee of yours today Frank .

Still a lovely morning here, even though I haven't and won't be going out. It does look cold out.
Jane, Aynhoe is more Buckingham way. I have been out that way but never to the hall. Nice part of the country.
Carolyn and John are talking about driving to Hastings for the Bank Holiday. Why on earth would they want to it it this weekend. They can go anytime they want, plus John only had a knee replacement in March and Carolyn still has her hand in bandages. I hope they don't invite us and expect Ros to drive. The answer would be a firm NO !!!
Is it warm enough to sit out Liz, ?? You must be in a nice shaded position out of the wind.
Pork tender loin for dinner tonight, with onion and mushroom cream sauce Roast potato's and some veg. (not sure what yet) Tony's lawn is about 10 inches long and full of flowering dandelions. I hope he cuts it soon as I don't want any of those seeds coming over here.
I have a very poorly tummy this morning. Have been about 8 times and have taken FOUR Imodium. So hope it clears soon, as I am getting sore and fed up with it. It must have been the Chicken casserole from yesterday !!!

Afternoon All,
:-) :-) <3 <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDRA <3 <3 :-) :-)
I hope you are enjoying shopping and had some nice cards,
I was up early for me these days (before Frank!) so I could set off early for the hospital. I was hot in the night so couldn't believe the frost ferns all over the car windscreen when I stepped outside! The journey wasn't too bad and took just 3/4 of an hour. Three people ran the group and it was a very productive and busy morning. They will be running pilot sessions in a few months, but like some of the others I didn't fit the criteria they want for that so couldn't volunteer. An unexpected but welcome surprise at the end of the morning for taking part was £20 of vouchers to use in most of the big stores!! :-D
When I got home we went to the fav carvery, but it was spoiled a bit by everything being salty. One of the reasons we like it there is that they don't use much salt so I hope it isn't a new chef that will continue the same way. Time will tell!
It wouldn't be surprising if the mowing had set your knee and hip off Frank.......get those forms filled in as you say!!! Hope your tummy is a bit better now.......no gadding anywhere anyway while you need your white friend handy! You've reminded me that I need some immodium to take on holiday just in case!
I used to like those teacake sweets as well and chocolate limes. I seem to remember we would ask for so many penny's worth that were then weighed out on scales with brass weights.

Oooooo tea cakes yes mum and I loved them. You could make them last ages if you sucked one and it stuck to the roof of your mouth and you would be chewing on the coconut for ages afterwards.
One sweet I did like was when we went to nan and grandad Beeches. Grandad would have a paper bag and inside were little pink fondant creams the shape of a jelly mould with a hazel nut stuck in the top. I loved those. Nan on the other hand would have a bag of white mint toffees so big to a little girl she could hardly get it in her mouth but she did love those too.
Another at Christmastime was maple brazils.
Chocolate did'nt appeal to me at all when I was young. Dad would always have a bar of Cadbury's milk chocolate and if mum had a box of chocs it was always Black Magic. My paternal nan who we lived with would always pick Dairy Box as her favorite and sometimes Weekend which was a mixed box of sweets with jellies, chocs, a mazipan, choc almonds and fondants.

All cloud and wind here, I have just been to the bins and it's getting colder. Heating is on.
I have just put the roasties in the oven, and the pork has been in soy sauce and garlic for a couple of hours, I have cooked down the onions and mushroom, added the cream and put it through the blender. So once the pots have been turned it won't take 5 minutes to cook the pork and heat the sauce. Ros isn't bothered about any other veg. and I am certainly not bothered.
Carolyn drove her car today, Ros said she had a bit of trouble getting round the carpark and bends in the road. I don't think should be driving, it's only just over three weeks since her hand operation. IRos is at Choir pratice tonight, so I will be able to watch WHAT I WANT. ;-) ;-) ;-)
That was a nice surprise Ann, What will you treat yourself too?? There's nothing worse than salty food. I do put a bit in when I am cooking, but leave it so people can add to it if they want. What's the old saying "You can add, but you can't take it away."
Talking of treats, what did Sandra get today Gill. I hope what she got she likes xxx
I see we are still on the sweetie topic.I did have the odd butter brazil when I ws younger, and had teeth to chew them with ;-) ;-) ;-)
Tummy is much better this afternoon, but has left me with indigestion in my right side under my ribs.
Better see how the pots are, might pop back later.

Frank i hope the tum has settled now , oh i don't think i would have had the pork with the garlic though it might set you off going again !!
Oh Mel yes i remember the Weekend chocolates ,it had a good assortment in the box some thing for everyone.
Hope Sandra has had a nice day out and has bought some nice things with her birthday money . Hope mum is home and feeling better Gill.

All this talk of our favourite sweeties is making me want some too :-D Mum loved those Coconut Mushrooms.
Well what a horrible afternoon.it is cold ,windy and a bit wet.Not heavy rain though.Thomas has slept nearly all day.He can harldy move after having a Rabbit for breakfast :-S.He has only moved from the lounge out to the Summerhouse and is out for the count again. My thumbs are killing me.I think turning the Mattress round with Chris and then stuffing the Duvet in a clean cover, plus the pillows into their cases has made them painful. I still have James's Duvet to do but the cover is still airing off.Normally James does his own bed but as he won't be home until late tonight I thought it would be nice for him just to be able to drop into bed.
Easy dinner for us tonight.I have some nice Lightly dusted Haddock Fillets which I can just pop in the oven with some Oven Chips. Then it is frozen Peas and Green Beans.
Chris is like a wet weekend today.I think he had too much wine last night :-S Tut Tut lol I don't think he will be having anything tonight.Just an early night. I hope I manage to stay awake for the final episode of Line of Duty....9pm till 10.30 !! It's a long one.It has been a brilliant Series :-D
Frank how is your tum?I think you must have a sensitive digestive system as you often have these bouts .I am like that with certain foods. Some can go through me within an hour or so :-S :-S.When we go away have to make sure I am not tempted to chance some things even though I would love to.Not knowing where toilets are can be a big problem lol.8 immodiums seems to be an awul lot just in a morning !!!!!.You might be bunged up for weeks !!!!
I wonder if Sandra is all shopped out now :-D :-D.I hope she is having a lovely day Gill.Has she had her cake yet? What cake is it this year? I think it was a Chocolate Flake one last year if my memory serves me right.
So you didn't fit the criteria then Ann.But how nice to get £20 as a thankyou for participating. I hope that the food at your fav carvery is not going to continue to be too salty.I hate that.I just like to add a little salt myself .It is horrible to suddenly find you have a big thirst after a meal. One place we go ..Pizza Express never have salt on the tables .You have to ask if you want it. Fitz is the worst person I know for having too much salt.He always has far too much. I remember my Dad always putting salt on his food before even tasting it and it used to make Mum mad.The only things I normally add salt to are Chips, and Eggs.you can't have Chips without salt. But nowadays in some Restaurants chips come already seasoned.Which is fine as long as you don't go and add more salt !!!!
HAVE YOU FILLED IN YOUR FORMS YET FRANK FOR YOUR GARDEN BUDDIES?
Would John be able to drive to Hastings with his knee? Seems a crazy idea to me .But hey it takes all sorts :-)..I would never fancy driving anywhere long distance on a Bank Holiday Weekend unless I had to.
Better start dinner as I am being asked what time wil it be ready !!

Hi Everyone, just got back from the ZOO Sandra decided she wanted to go to the zoo after all as it was sunny this morning, we have hail now so timed that right as it's really coming down. It rained a bit while we were out but we all had a great time and took some photo's which I'm hoping to put on my computer then I can send them to you all. It rained heavily just before we were coming home so we did get a bit wet, so now we're warming up and all the wet clothes are in the washing machine. We are hoping to take Sandra shopping tomorrow if the weather isn't to bad otherwise we'll take her when it's nice again.
Going to get something to eat. I'll catch up with all the posts later. Sandra said to say thank you for all her lovely cards. She thought the one you gave her Ann, with the dog on it, was really funny <3 and she loved the stickers you sent in your card Mel. All in all she's very happy and has had a great day, we even had our photo taken which Sandra is keeping as a memory of the day.

Gill, pleased to hear Sandra enjoyed her visit to the zoo and look forward to seeing your photos. You were lucky the weather was kind to you.
Frank I hope your tummy is better now and as Jane said you won't be going again for a while with all those immodium tablets you have taken. Do Carolyn and John have relations or friends in Hastings it seems a long way to go with the weather being unpredictable at the moment.
Watching Master Chef at the moment then the last episode of Line of Duty.

Morning/Afternoon all.
This blooming computer has pinched my post three times already.
Jane I went to the loo EIGHT TIMES and took FOUR IMODIUM. You must get your eyes tested. <3 <3 <3 All seems O.K. this morning.
Ros has gone to collrct my teeth, and pick up some grow bags from Aldi 99p each. She will use those for het pots when she does her tomato's. I am not sure if Carolyn would be covered by insurance with her hand covered in bandages. They have their appartment on the sea front at Hastings, that's why I can't understand why they should want to go on a Bank Holiday Weekend. They can go anytime they want. The trouble is when John wants to do something, it has to be done !!!
So it was the Zoo in the end Gill. I'm glad Sandra enjoyed herself, even though you all got wet coming home.
Hope our MAX gets on alright at the vets Mandy, extra petting for him today. <3 <3.
I have had my shower, but had to come and sit down before I shave, as I feel a bit shaky again this morning.
Liver and onions, mash and garden peas tonight. We haven't had this for a couple of weeks. It makes a change from Roasts.
Ros's friend Martine, applied for a new job and has had two interviews, and got confirmation yesterday, that she has got it. She has to give a months notice but it will mean getting away from beatings and kickings from the Special Needs children. She won't get so much holidays, but won't be in a stressful situation all the time.

Hope the teeth are ok when you get them back. Mine rubbed a bit when I had mine back from repair when I broke mine.
Poor little Max having something nasty under his eye. I hope it is nothing serious already in his young life. Perhaps he has scratched it?? Lets us know how he got on please Mandy.
