I forgot it was the F1 this weekend, will have to record the qualifying for OH as he's in work today, so I'll probably watch it with him later.
We paint our bench in green to match the cast iron sides, ours also needs another coat of paint but will have to wait until it's dryer Mandy. At least the sun is out now after a dreadful start to the day. If it stays dry for a couple of days then I'll be able to paint the bench. We've had our tomatoes on our window sill for a few weeks but it's to cold at the moment to put them into the greenhouse just yet, so I think we'll have to wait a few weeks. Sandra's strawberries are full of flowers so she should get quite a few this year. I just hope the cold weather doesn't harm them, even though they are in the greenhouse it can still get quite cold in there at night. OH was saying he's not seen snow and hail this late in the year for quite some time, hope it warms up soon. Did you watch the puppy programme the other day? We watched it off the planner last night, it was very interesting.
Sorry to hear it was so crowed at Waitrose today Liz, at least you'll know for next time, not to go on a Saturday. Hope it's not to crowded at the horse trials this afternoon.
We're up to Friday the 22nd on Masterchef so we're getting there, just a few more programmes to go. It's really good this year. Have you been watching it Frank? The Great British Sewing Bee starts on 16th May if anyone is interested. I'm looking forward to watching it.

Afternoon All Well after a lovely sunny morning we have just had a big hail downpour.I got caught in it just as I got out of the car on the drive.Luckily James and jess were just on their way out and James had a big brolly he held over me.(What a gent :-D )
I have bought a new pair of Ballet Pumps from Clarks.I have had the same ones now for about 4 years, but my old black ones are looking so tatty now and have softened up too much ,so new ones were in order :-D.I have a Navy pair and a pale pinky pair too. They are just so comfy.
Glad you had a good sleep last night Frank and that your teeth were so comfortable you were able to sleep with them in.Do you normally take them out at night?
Mandy I reckon you will like the Slate Colour when it is done.it is probably just so different from what you are used to .
Liz I hope the weather stays dry for the Badminton Horse Trials this afternoon.I thin kit might be a bit of a showery afternoon here.Chris can't do any more in the garden now. He called me down the garden earlier to look at a flower. It is called Snakehead Fritillary .I have never heard of that one before. He is hoping a couple more might come up.it is in the little patch he has meadow flowers in.
Is it early for flowers on the Strawberries Gill?We never grow them.Sandra will be keeping an eye on them now for sure :-D..Cupboards on wheels sounds a good idea.Handy to be able to move them around when you need to.
Anne,so you have Smugglers as well as Royalty !!!!!!.How fantastic.I'm quite jealous.Id love some smugglers .We had friends who lived in Cawsands (Cornwall) when I was a child and their house was right on the beach. They had tunnels under their house that had been used by smugglers :-D.I remember that sometimes we were allowed to go and have a look down in the tunnels :-D..So exciting !!!!
It was so busy out this morning, and traffic a nightmare.Everyone was out shopping.I keep forgetting it is B H Weekend.
Did anyone watch The Secret last night? ooh I think it is going to be a goody :-) I might see if Goggle box is on catch up yet from last night.I do like that programme. It was Hannah that got me addicted to that one. She has gone down to Bath for a Hen weekend .All the girls have rented a house for 2 nights. She said she will send pics!!!!!!..I'm sure it will be a riot lol

Bath what a lovely place that is. Have you all been and felt how warm the waters are there? I was so surprized the first time I went.
Did'nt watch The Secret but may have a look on catch up and see if it is me or not.
Washing dried and ironed so thats out of the way. It was 12 pillow cases and the quilt cover plus a couple of shirts for oh and I just ran over a few towels so I could get them in the cupboard.
Oh broke his screwer inner for the leccy fence holders that go round the pond so had to come in and mend it and needed a coffee. I read the posts and now I need a COT.
Don't know if I would like slate grey for a garden seat I might think I was on a battle ship.

I have been to the Baths in Bath Mel but not been in the waters. The smell of sulphur was really strong too(think it is sulphur ..like bad eggs)
It is looking a bit black here now and it looks like a breeze is picking up. Just lit the fire even though it is a bit late.I am sure James and Jess will appreciate it later tonight. I don't know but am wondering if next door has emptied the outdoor swimming pool.I can hear a lot of scraping which makes me think they may be scraping the bottom.Trouble is I can't quite see from upstairs :-S.The pool has not been used for a couple of years..There is one thing about having high hedges which is good(privacy),but on the other hand I do like to know what's going on lol I'm just a nosey old biddy as Chris likes to keep reminding me :-S

Well, we had lovely afternoon, it did hail quite heavily for about 5 minutes, then the sun came out again. OH Mandy, it's horrid breaking a bit of tooth. It always seems to be at a weekend too!!. Hope you manage to get it repaired soon. We go to Bath rather too many times as OH goes to the RUH for his checkups and treatment!! We have been to the Baths though quite a few times, and yes Jane you're right the sulphur smell is yuk!!! We first went when our two were young. We were determined to foster their interest in history and architecture! It worked, they've both got an interest in things ancient!! I've made a contact with what is hopefully a paternal relation, so I'm well chuffed!

Well who wants him ?? Max that is ,he has times when he just gets the devil in him ,hes been trying to chew my chair and the more i say NO the more he keeps going for it ,nothing will distract him so hes in his crate looking all sorry for his self ,he comes out and then wants a cuddle ,he snuggles up as if to say sorry .

Afternoon All,
Oh Mel, you'll have Mandy naming her garden seat the 'Titanic'..........as long as she doesn't get a sinking feeling siiting on it!! lol. I think I would like the slate grey but I suppose it might depend what colour everything else is. It's nice to have a change of colour anyway.
Good news Max's eye is ok Mandy and nothing to worry about. It's good to get it checked though and another chance to get him used to the vet!! That's a good idea to not put your little greenhouse up this year. The little monkey would love sinking his sharp teeth in and pulling it down!! :-0 He's really coming out now he's settled in isn't he, the little tinker!!!
Sandra had a great birthday and was a happy bunny getting to the zoo after all then Gill. I'm glad she liked her card. We watched a baby chimp years ago that was beside himself with excitement and jumping up and down when someone started blowing those soap bubbles with the plastic hoop you dip in the pot. You could take some with you next time. Monkey World in Dorset had a chimp that had smoked before they had him. He would still 'mime' smoking a cigarette even though he wasn't given any anymore. How is your mum now Gill? I like the Great British Sewing Bee too so thanks for mentioning it.
I never slept at all last night till after I got up to make a COT at 5.30am!! I had watched the last episode I'd recorded of Line of Duty the night before and I think it must have been the reason for me having a dream when I finally went to sleep this morning. I dreamt that the police had pulled me over in my car!! :-0 :-0 I thought I must have been speeding, but no they wanted to take my car to chase a criminal as they thought it might be faster than their car and the criminal wouldn't know they were the police that were driving it!!! I woke up then lol :-)
OH went to a match an hour and a half away with his pal today. I've just had a lazy day sorting a bit of paperwork and starting a list of things to do before we go away. OH thinks he's getting a sore throat too, so no kisses for him just now!!! It would be just my luck to catch it when I'm busy packing or while we are away. :-S
I'm glad you mentioned your bean dish Jane as I like it too and is nice when you fancy something different. I found a new recipe for chicken veronique while I was tidying things away today and must do that as I haven't done it for years. I recorded The Secret.
Glad your teeth were ok Frank. I hope you've got those forms done now! :-)

Had a busy day washing and ironing. Oh worked on his pond.
When I went to feed the hogs tonight they had pooped in their water bowl up by the house and in the ark. The dirty little so and so's. When I went down to put clean water down and opened up the ark there were two in there eating the food side by side. One a bit smaller than the other.

I watched the programme about Monkey World a few years ago Ann and saw the chimp mimicking smoking, was that the chimp that was rescued from the streets, he was being used to make money.....sorry can't remember the full story but I think it was something like that?
Mum is a lot better now Ann, the doctor changed her meds which has made a lot of difference and I'm pleased to see she is starting to take it more slowly now, she's one for running people here, there and everywhere, a bit like Ros does, she'll probably go back to her old ways in time, but for now she's taking it easy. OH's mum is off the drip now and is a lot better too.
What a strange dream that was. Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight.
Sorry to hear you have broken your tooth Mandy, hope it doesn't feel sore before you can get it seen too. So little Max is playing you up. Have you thought of buying one of those ball type things that you put food in, it would keep him occupied for hours. It might help distract him from chewing things he shouldn't.
Glad to hear you had a nice time this afternoon Liz, shame about the hail though, at least it didn't last to long.
So you're being nosey Jane.......sorry curious LOL, did you work out if it was the swimming pool in the end? What are you like, my mum is the same. It's quite amusing watching her sometimes, although she goes a step further and actually rings her neighbours and asks them what's going on, be it in a polite way though. She's so cheeky LOL :-D :-D
How nice to see the two hogs Mel, hope you don't get the hail like I've had today, I don't suppose the hogs would like that very much.
Off to bed now, see you all tomorrow Night Night

Pinch and a punch for the first of the month.
Morning all,
We have cloudy skies today with a little sun now and then but I think it may have gone for good now.
I am pleased your mum feels better now Gill and it taking it a bit easier. Lets hope she stays like that instead of running around after everyone. Let everyone run around after her for a while till she gets her strength back.

Morning Mel and all, evening Kim.
Chilly breeze here again. When will the SPRING come. They say Thursday will be 19 degrees, We will wait and see.
Dinner already for tonight. Roast lamb. Jersey Royals, Cauli, Runners, brussels and carrot and peas.
"PERCY" Martines OH has send over a bunch of Sunflower plants, so Ros is down the greenhouse to pot them up.
I mrntioned those Grow bags. Well she didn't buy the small one, but ones that were 4 times the usual size. I had a real struggle to get them out of the boot, and onto a crate in the driveway. Yesterday while she was out I decided to get them down the garden.. I put all three of them in the barrow, and all was fine until I reached the steps onto the lawn. The barrow decided to run away with me as I went down the steps. The barrow tipped over and I tripped over the bags of compost. !!! I had a heck of a job getting them back into the barrow and down to the greenhouse. Needless to say, I got in doors and stayed there.
I was thinking of goiung to the pub at 2.00 pm to see Leicester V Man. Utd. But I think it's live on BBC 2 so I will watch it at home.
I had better go and get showered and dressed. or I can see I will be like this for the rest of the day. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Hope you all have a nice weekend xxx

Afternoon all
Wet and miserable here, weather wise today, so just like any other bank holiday then :-D :-D
It sounds like Max and Jake have had fun Mandy. I'm just watching the end of the puppy programme that was on the other day as I fell asleep before it finished. The pups are into everything. There is a black lab that looks just like your Max. Puppies are certainly a handful aren't they?
I'm hoping to sort out some more boxes today, OH is going to get me two of the cupboards I found the other day, so at least I'll have somewhere to put my things at last. The cupboards are on wheels, so easy to move if needs be.
Looking forward to the F1 race later and Sandra has asked if she can make the chicken dinner, she hasn't done it for a while so that'll be nice.
I'm making headway on my family tree and have had a reply to a message on Genes this morning, so that's looking hopeful. The lady I've been in contact with via email has also replied and has sent me some photo's of my grandparents and mum and a few other family members, although I don't recognise any of the other's so I've asked her who they are and I'm waiting for a reply. So with a bit of luck I'll have this bit of my tree sorted soon.
Well, I'd better get back to the puppy programme, there's only about 10 minutes left to watch, then I can make a start on sorting out these boxes. What's everyone else up to today?

Didn't see you there Frank, sorry to hear you've had another fall, please be careful. I hope you enjoy your match this afternoon. I think watching it at home is the best plan if the weather is chilly. Let's hope you're right and the weather improves on Thursday, but don't over do things in the garden, you don't want another accident <3
