No, neither of us liked it Jane, I know it's based on a real life gang of that period, but it's just too much, also the acoustics were so bad, or were they just mumbling?!! The bedroom scenes were imo just unnecessary and far too graphic, won't be watching again!!!
Much more cloudy here this morning but the wind has dropped, so OH is having a bonfire. I'm sitting outside with Cas who is playing with her ring!!!! Bit of gardening later, apart from that, remains of the chicken done up as a curry tonight, with rice, and that's us for today.

morning sweet things, evening kim,
.
Mel/Mandy, I have tried to resend the photo's but they won't go. Anyone who has received them can you forward to Mel and Mandy.

Like Ann I have had the trots all night. I had to get out FIVE TIMES in the first hour of being in bed, in and out all night Even after Imodium I have been fout times this morning. I'm glad I am not going on a long Journey.

Jane is that pub at Grafton on the right up a few steps as you go into the village ??? or am I thinking of somewhere else. Glad you had a nice time.

Mandy it sounds like Max is bein Porchg the perfect puppy.. I can just see him sniffing the morning air. <3 <3 <3.

Bed change this morning and the whites wash is on. It should soon dry in this sunshine. I have already been sitting on the patio in my dressing gown with a COT

Lewis phoned last night, he is coming up to see us Sunday Morning in his car. He said he will be here about 10.00 am.

It's Harvey's 50th in August and Ros wants to buy him a Driving experience at Silverstone.. They do a FIVE CAR experience, which includes Lambogine,Porche, Audi. BMW and his favourite Ferreie (sp)

Mel, it sounds like you are going to be busy with all this Veg. growing in pots. It must be difficult for you without your tunnel.

Thanks Anne, Virginia waterers, that's what I was trying to say. We never stopped to look at anything, but what beautiful houses there were, what price are those today ??

I know what you mean Liz, about next doors garden. But I get so cross when Ros is in the front garden, she tends to do their beds as well, and cuts the lawn edges, while he lays on his sofa reading a book.

Ros said she took Val to thre Choir pratice last night. She is not moving very well, she shuffles along rather than walk. She still has blood stains on her face as well. To crown it all off she came out last night in a top that is covered in food stains, where she has difficulty feeding herself !!!

Well I had better get myself going (not that way) lol. Shower and shave, then in shorts, and potter around in between rests.

Have a good day all. See you later.

I can see that doing someone else's gardening is pretty annoying for you Frank!! Not something I'd ever do particularly if they were just sitting there letting you do it because they're too lazy themselves!!! Blow that!!
Our aubretia has done really well this year and looks a picture, in fact the whole garden isn't looking too bad a at all!!

Jane

Jane Report 6 May 2016 14:12

What did you have to eat last night Frank? I reckon your trotty troubles must be food related. I bet when Lewis arrives he will be sat out there hooting the horn LOL.Then you may well be off for a spin :-D :-D

The place in Grafton isn't a pub Frank.I believe it is where the old post office was but maybe a couple of cottages knocked into one.It is called Sage and Brooke.Blink and you miss it LOL.There is just a tiny sign outside.
I can't remember if I said yesterday but the girl who owns it was going to Dubai with her partner for a holiday ,and wghen they got to Passport control at the airport in London they refused to let her go as the corner of her Passport had been chewed by her dog !!!!.They lost £3000 altogether with the flights and accomodation in Dubai :-0 :-0 :-0....I asked if she still had the dog :-D :-D

How is little Max in this warm weather Mandy?I did notice yesterday that Thomas was lolling around a bit more than usual on the patio.(mind you he may well have just had a big meal :-| :-| )
I didn't get to have a cuddle with Ottilie as she was asleep but I had a little feel of her tiny hands and feet. They are like little Sparrows. Then when she woke it was straight to Mummy's boob lol. I just couldn't believe how tiny she is.I think the midwife was coming today to check her weight again.

I wondered when those shorts of yours were coming out Frank :-D.I am surprised you haven't had them on before today. That Tony sounds a right waste of space.Fancy letting Val out in a mucky top.He really should be looking after better by the sound of things. It does sound very much like Val is either suffering from Dementia or Parkinsons. One of the first things we noticed with my Mum when she had the onset of dementia was that she would put on a top that had food down the front. But would gently just suggest that she might like a clean one and that she 'just must have not noticed '.She would have been mortified if she had realised she was wearing dirty clothes.

I didn't get your pics either .Every pic was just a blank square :-S
Liz is Aubreitia that beautiful vibrant blue flower? I think you have done wonders with your garden since you moved in.
I wonder how far Ann and Gordon have got . Last year when I was down that way it was a nightmare from the other side of the Tamar Bridge on the road to Liskeard.Roadworks all the flipping way !!!!,and with a 30 mph for what seemed miles.
At least the weather is going to be nice for them when they arrive :-D

Have I missed a post from Gill? I don't seem to have seen one for a while.

Frank

Frank Report 6 May 2016 16:30

Frank Report 6 May 2016 17:18

Have just looked to see if I can resend the photo's. It says the photo's WON'T be included in the email. Do I still want to send. Somethings up my end.

Lewis came up this afternoon instead of Sunday as they have company coming. He bought his Nan a nice bunch of flowers, that has her in tears of joy <3 <3 He seems very comfotable behind the wheel of his new motor. He didn't stop to long as his Dad wants him to help with a load of Mowing at Iain Poulters (the golfer) house. There is two

Nice afternoon here. I have the sprinkler on the back flower beds as the earth is cracking. I must go and move it.

That's done. I must remember to move it later.

I have dug up some potato shoots from my patch. I think I must have caught a couple of spuds last year, and chopped them up and they have sprouted.

Sounds like you will be sitting around in the sun over the weekend people, they say it's going to be warmer on Sat/Sunsay. So enjoy it while you can.

Poor old Lewis he was sitting here enjoying a toasty and a coffee when his Dad rang and ask if he could meet him at Iain Poulter's house as he has loads of mowing to do. Lewis will do the golf course (9 hole) with the sit on Mower. while Harvey does the hand mowing of the two main lawns. I think he is due back from the USA in the next few days.

Jane with both Ros and I not feeling our best, she bought some Tesco Finest meals, to save us cooking. One never knows what goes into them, so I think that where my trots have come from. Hopefully I will be able to get back in the kitchen on Sunday and do my roast dinner.

Have a nice evening folks, see you later.

Jane

Jane Report 6 May 2016 18:08

I have never had a problem with the ready "finest ' from Tesco. ( touch wood)..
So Lewis is enjoying his driving then in his new car :-D... I just had to look up Ian Poulter on Google :-D That was so nice of Lewis to bring some flowers for his Gran :-D
I just had a lovelychat with my old primary school teacher. She is 97 tomorrow .She has been in a care home since last August. My goodness she amazing.Still so switched on and her memory is still not letting her down. She has accepted the fact she has to be looked after now as physically she is unable to do that herself. Her Daughter is taking her out tomorrow for her Birthday :-D.I can see her getting to a hundred years old the way she is still going .She was so chuffed that I remembered her birthday .(but as i said to her I have it on my calendar every year :-D )How could I forget .She was one of my first teachers at school and also a really good family friend. :-D :-D

James is off to Jess tonight.I have his dinner almost ready for when he gets in from work. Then I will crack on with our dinner.

magpie Report 6 May 2016 18:09

I can't open your photos either Frank. Perhaps if you sent them in two hits it might work!
Frank, I'm always a bit wary of ready cooked meals, and what's in them, also they tend to have too much salt, same with commercial sauces. We have them now and again but not very often, as I must admit I much prefer to make my own, or get OH to do it!!!
Sun came out this afternoon and it was lovely!!

Evening all,
We've had sun this afternoon after a cloudy morning ,Max seems to like the sun he just goes out and lays there in the sun bless him, i keep looking for him wondering what he's up to as he's quiet .

That was nice to have Lewis call in , i expect you will see more of him now he's got his car and how thoughtful to bring the flowers with him.

Yes i was wondering where Gill has got to, i hope all is ok with them and her mum is not poorly again.

Jane Report 6 May 2016 20:57

Signing off now for today...The Secret is just about to start .I am keeping fingers crossed now that I am not called again like last night in the middle of the programme to clear any 'throw ups' from Thomas . :-S
James has just left to drive down to Kent to Jess for the weekend. So it is us two old foggies now until Sunday afternoon.

Bless little Max enjoying the warm weather and keeping out of your way. Trouble is you have to keep stopping to find out what he is doing.

I got on well again today. Did a lot of washing and got it dry even though it was not as sunny as the last couple of days.

Went down the village for my script and was asked to wait for a blood pressure test while I was there. A lady went in before me and she was having some stitches out and she took ages. When I did get in there to see the nurse after ringing oh to tell him I would be a while incase he wondered where I had got to she asked if she could take bloods too. Yes I said but I had had breakfast this morning. She had to ask the receptionist to ask the man who picks up the sample s to wait for mine to be done. First hse tried my left arm and after a while of poking and proding my arm she at last found a vein. Bingo she said then O it has given up!! She only had about half of the usual amount and that was the coleserol one. Then she tried my right arm with the same procedure of poking and prodding and then found it on the side of my arm. Thats better she said but then only got one and it gave up again. She said I have very hair like veins. Anyway after that she took my blood pressure which was 141.79 and she said that was ok and when she looked on the pooter I had had one two years ago the last time and it was exactly the same reading in 2014.

Did lunch when I got back and we watched Doctors.

Oh was waiting for a large sprayer to come by post and thought it was'nt going to come but it arrived after 4pm when it was supposed to arrive. He then made something up to hold it on the back of the old trailer mum had bought him years ago. I was asked to see how far it sprayed past the trailer and he turned it on and it went all over me. He had'nt put it in the right position for it to spray backwards, silly fool.

Don't think I hsall be watching Peaky Blinders as I missed the last series. I though it was a bit gory in the first lot with all the blood flying all over the place and the viliance.

Hope Ann and Gordon had a good ride sown and enjoyed the theatre tonight. They will sleep well tonight.

Signing out now as I am really tired tonight.

See you all in the morning night night.

Morning all,
Another nice sunny morning so it will be another day out in the garden.
Vets this morning for Max's last injection ,poor little boy had an upset tummy in the night ,i heard him whining and thought thats not like him as he always settles now at night so i came down and let him out and he went about three times , i bet he's had some thing from the garden as he was poking about in the garden for most of the day
yesterday.
I have just given him some boiled rice this morning .

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 7 May 2016 10:51

Morning Mandy and all,

Poor chap you better tell the vet he's had a tummy upset incase he should'nt have his injection. Hope he is ok now. <3

It rained a little last night and this morning it is a bit dull and wet outside. Hope its better for Ann and Gordon where they are as Cornwall often gets the sun when we don't.

Anne

Anne Report 7 May 2016 11:21

It's very hot and sunny here at the moment, got up early and had a good clean round plus 3 machine loads of washing so next thing will be out in the garden again.

Poor little Max having an upset tum Mandy but at least you got him out in time so no accidents indoors,

Paul is 50 on Sunday so he and his girl friend plus about 8 of his friends are having a long weekend at Butlins, Bognor Regis which is one the nearest sea side places to here. I bought him one of those cameras that fix on the car, he chose it and has already fitted it with no problems fortunately.

There will be no stopping Lewis now he has his own transport Frank and how sweet of him to buy his Grandma flowers not many youngsters would think to do that now. I hope you are feeling better this morning. How annoying to keep losing your postings. I find submitting mine after a couple of paragraphs and then going back into edit if I want to add more

I hope Ann and her OH are enjoying the same weather as we have here the forecast was it's going to be even hotter tomorrow.

Still no Gill I hope she and her family are OK

Frank Report 7 May 2016 11:45

Well I will try again. Good morning all, Evening Kim,

"I'VE BEEN AND GONE AND DONE IT" As soon as Ros went out to meet Martine, I went down and got the Rotorvator out. All seemed great when suddenly it took off and went through a pane of glass in the greenhouse. !!! To say the least the air turned blue.. The ground is so dry, that it just wouldn't go down more that an inch or so. I decided to give it up as a bad job for today. I have left the sprinkler on for a couple of hours, then if I try again tomorrow. If all fails I will just put my runners round the fence and leave the rest..To say the least I feel well Peed off. !!!

It's a great day here also.I am considering going to the pub to watch the football, but I will have to walk back, as Ros is coming home with her shopping and meeting Martine at 2.45 pm for afternoon tea at a Garden Centre. Martine has free vouchers. So it's a pity not to use them. They run out today.

I spoke to my neighbour Tony thr first time for three weeks. I asked why he doesn't go to the pub anymore. He has been going to the other pub where beer is £1.00 a pint cheaper. But has to drive 10 miles round trip to do it. I wouldn't think it was worth it, plus Drink Driving !!!!

Must get my shower, if I m going out at 12.30 , so will see you all later. Enjoy the SUNSHINE.

Did the PHOTO'S come through ???

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 7 May 2016 12:04

No pics here I can open Frank.

Grey sky here today but dry at the moment.

Have to go to the shop for my paper and some butter which I always get on a Saturday as they sell Rodda butter and I like that one.

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 7 May 2016 13:16

Oh heck Frank you'll be for it when Ros gets home ,i thought you were going to say it shot through a fence panel :-0
You were lucky you didn't get cut from the glass.
Your neighbours a funny chap ! I carn't see that he's saving money on his beer when he has to drive 10 miles ,he'd only be saving if he drank pints and pints and then he'd be well over the limit !!

Took Max this morning ,he had his last injection so next weekend we will go walkies :-D also got some Pro Bind to help his tummy trots so the next couple of days he will have chicken and rice until his tummy is better.

Really warm out but the cloud seems to be building now ,i need to sort out my hanging baskets for the Tumbling Tom Tomato plants hubby has found two wall hanging planters so i can fill those with compost and have some Tom plants in them too.

Still no Gill ? i do hope they are all ok.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 7 May 2016 14:46

It may be better if you replace the broken glass with perspex Frank.

I hope Ros is not too cross with you when she gets home.

So nearly time now for "WALKIES" I bet he was'nt impressed with the needle today.

Sun's out here now and its quite warm.

Been in to see my two little boys next door and the elder one has grown so much since I last saw them at Christmas. He is 6 and in aged 10 clothes. He had been driving his dads ride on mower round the garden but not mowing of course.

Jane

Jane Report 7 May 2016 15:34

Afternoon everyone
Phewy it is pretty muggy here now and not very comfortable. There are some big clouds building up so I wonder if we might be in for some thunder !!.Thomas is just lolling about on the patio.I hope he doesn't come in with Ants in his fur as there a fair few about on the slabs.
I had my opticians appointment this morning and he said I don't need to worry about the floaters but just keep aware .I had a full eye test done again with the pressures and pic of the back of my eyes.It seems that it is not just one eye that has the beginning of a cattaract but both :-S :-S.I need new specs but will leave that until after the holiday.

Oh dear Frank what have you done !!!!..How big is the pane of glass?I bet all the neighbours heard 'the blue air' LOL.You will have to be on best behaviour now for the rest of the day and just keep out of any more trouble :-D(if that is possible ;-) )

Poor Max and his dicky tum.I reckon you might be right Mandy and has picked up something in the garden. He must have had a right old tummy ache :-(..At least now he has had his last jab and you can take him out to meet other dogs. Will you be taking him to Puppy Training Classes? It is a great way of getting them integrated with people and other dogs.I should have done that with Chester really.I am sure my life would have been a lot easier if I had have done.I bet he loves Chicken and Rice.I think Pasta is ok to give too,but maybe not so easy as rice to eat.

I have a couple or big juicy looking Rib Eye Steaks for us two tonight.I think I will put the Mushrooms and Tomatoes in the oven and cook them in there at the same time as the Chunky Chips.I think I'll do peas and asparagus too.

Party Time at Butlins then for Paul Anne :-D.I wish I was 50 again ,even 40 would do.
I hope the fine weather continues for his birthday celebrations. Is the camera you gave him a dashboard camera?I think they are a good idea.

I wonder where our Gill is.?It's been a few days now I think since we heard from her.
