Just come out of the shower, all very warm now and clean. Sitting here in my u/pants as I am too hot for my dressing gown at the moment.


I bet your OH felt a right silly billy getting his appointment wrong. Just the sort of thing that I would do. !!!

Hope you didn't need the loo Ann, what an interesting place that must have been to visit. You do seem to find these places around you , don't you ??

Just getting dark here, just over a month to the longest day, where has the SPRING gone.

I think I will get Ros to get some lettuce, cauliflower and cabbage plants. I will see if I can set some carrot seeds in a big pot. Thinking of that, I have lwft the seed packets out, I think they will be allright for tonight.

Marcella on the T.V. but as I have missed the last two/three weeks, I won't bother to try to catch up. I will spend a bit of time on ebay for half an hour.

Just head from Conrad, Jan's plane was late taking off so not expected at Luton untill 12.45 am. Poor old Ros is going to have a late night/early morning.

It looks like being another sunny day here, so I will be out in the garden again after Amy has her walk and there will be ironing to do as I'm going to put the washing machine on after I've had my first COT.

Frank I hope Kerry's baby is responding well to treatment poor little boy she must be so worried for him, you are going to have a full house by the sound of it. Ros is going to be very tired after making a journey that late at night, is the airport very far from you?

Ann, Shadow & Toby are brother and sister so I suppose they could be called twins, they are both still quite small compared to Jane's Thomas. So your OH had a trial run going to the hospital then , I did that once going for a blood test at the doctors but they managed to fit me in.

One of my great nephews is going to the funeral today of his partner's cousin she was only 22 and killed by her boyfriend being drunk at the wheel and losing control of the car, there wasn't any other vehicle involved, He ran off after the crash just leaving her there. I would imagine it will be a well deserved prison sentence for him and something he will have to live with the rest of his life but what a silly girl getting into the car with him.

Jane must be well into holiday mode now, I hope she and Chris have got good weather and plenty of things to see and do.

Max will be raring to go now Mandy with all the lovely sniffs etc outside the house and lots of new doggy friends to make. Amy as a puppy went to puppy training classes where she met a lot of different breeds of other puppies, she was the youngest in the class at the time, her only fault is she will pull at times even now, other than that she loves everything and everybody bless her

That is a terrible waste of life Anne. Will he be done for "MURDER" or MANSLAUGHTER. ??? The later no doubt. Lets hope he spends the next 30 years behind bars. But like all the senrences I expect it will be 8 or 10. I thinks our laws are an ass, You can get away with light prison sentence if you have a good lawer.

On to better things, Alexander was discharged from hospital last night. and is at home with his Mum. She had only just started back to work when this all happened.

Ros got home about 1.30 am. I didn't hear them, and she didn't wake me when she came to bed.

Jan is in the shower at the mo. and is taking our car to Weldon, Corby. to visit Kerry.Instead of travelling to Devon by train to collect her car, she is going to catch a plane back to Spain on Thursday or Friday. Then come home next week for Alexanders 1st Birthday. Then fly out again with us on the first of June. She won't know if she's coming or going. The flights are around £40/60 single.

It's a grand morning here again. I am NOT going to attempt any planting today. I will just take things easy and cook Ros a nice meal for tonight.

If Ros needs to go anywhere today Carolyn will take her. She's on the phone now, so I expect they are arranging shopping trip as they speak.

Jan told us for her to go to Devon by train she will have to go from Northampton to Birmingham then to Newton Abbott and another train to Paynton(sp) and the cost for a single ticket is over £60.00. so it makes sense to go back to Spain. She is off in a moment and will come back Thursday morning.

I'm off to get a bit of breakfast, so see you later.

I have prepared, Minted lamb steaks. Fresh Broad Beans, carrots and podded peas, Jersey Royals, Brussels and Runner beans. So we won't go hungry this evening..

I will be down the Pub tonight to watch the last match of the season. I will also be able to find out the arrangements for Jimmy's funeral. Being a Birmingham Lad, the chances are they will take him up there.

While scrapping the potato's I heard a bump and came in the lounge to find Ros laid out on the carpet. She had tripped over a rug, and went down like a sack of spuds. Between us she got up and sat down on the sofa, before continuing to clean behind the sofa and chairs. It's a real spring clean. Not that it's dirty, as she always seems to have the Dyson and dusters out.

Still a very nice day out there, I think I will go and sit on the patio for an hour.

I had a contact this morning from a man in New Zealand about my tree and I have been getting aquianted with the person on the tree a Robert Squire 1639. What annoys me is he has'nt a tree on GR but wants to see my tree.

So pleased the little one is getting better now Frank. I see what you mean about
Jan not knowing whether she is coming or going, poor girl. At least it sounds like he is now out of danger.

Going shopping in a min so will be back later to see what you have been up to.

Another nice sunny day so we will be out in the garden again while we can as tomorrow isn't going to be as nice .

Oh poor Ros i hope she's not to bruised Frank ,it's usually you having the tumbles.
Thats good that the little one is out of hospital, Jan will be tired out with all the flying but at least the flights are fairly short ones.

Oh Ann i bet OH was annoyed he made a mistake with the appointment date ,its easily done when there is two pages to read , it was the tickets last week !! i bet he will double check things for a while now .

I meant to say i like the photo of your cats Anne , thats awful about that poor girl dying in the car crash ,as been said it's some thing he will have to live with for the rest of his life .

Well we have got lots of jobs done in the garden this afternoon ,planted out my Tomato plants and Geraniums ,done some weeding in the front garden but there's still a bit more to do .

Cloudy here now and we thought we heard some thunder !!

Rain and Black clouds here. I can't go out as we have no CAR. I don't want to walk to the pub and BACK in possible rain, and my leg won't carry me both ways..

I have just sent very curt email to Morrisons. The Lamb Steaks were like LEATHER. Tough didn't come into it. I could have soled my shoes with them !!!

Mel, I have been a very good boy today. The only thing I did was prepare dinner. and made tea. I did get Ros some toast and Pate at lunchtime, apart from that it has been NAT. GEO.

Glad you got a lot of jobs done Mandy. Would you like a ride out and come and do mine ?? lol. Did you have some help from MAX ???

Hog is still alive but still has'nt eaten anything. I keep giving it water with a cotton bud but it just seems to be asleep all the time. I think it is one we had visit last yeaar as it seems to only have one eyeball. its right one is sunk in. I think it may just be an old one. I don't really know what their lifespan is.

Been quite busy since I cam ehome and am now signing out as I am tired tonight.

Well we have rain so it will be a day in today after a little shopping ,i need to get some things for Jakes birthday on Sunday ,he will be eleven !!
It gets harder each year to know what to buy ,i think we will give him some money but i do like to get some things so he has some presants to open ,it's not a birthday with out presants.

Just about to get some toast for oh when he has finished fiddleing with the pond filters.

Nothing planned for today but no gardening seeings as the weather is not really permitting. I may mix my compost for the tom plants and other things I now grow in big bags. I see also I bought a bag of Charlotte pots weeks ago and they are growoing in the place I keep the spuds. I may plant those.

Ros was suppose to go to Hospital with Carolyn for her blood count, but she rang to say she is having another bad turn, and has cancelled, and gone back to bed. John has arranged a telephone chat with her doctor later in the morning. So we will see what comes from that.

Alexander is a lot better, he is sleeping a lot, which is a good sign. I bet he is tired out after being in hospital and away from his MUM & DAD. Jan is bringing the car back tomorrow afternoon, and staying the night.

Ros and her will go to Milton Keynes Friday morning. Then she will be dropped off at Luton in time for her flight back to Spain.

I have a Chicken out of the freezer for tonights dinner. It's sitting in a bowl of cold water thawing out.

Ros has a stack of ironing to do. I have got the board out and the iron. The washing basket is sitting on the sofa. AREN'T I A GOOD BOY ?? Quite a bit of it is for our Holiday, so that can be folded and put in the cases.

I'm just having one of my sneezing fits 20 so far. !!!!

I keep having sneezing fits too Frank.It must be something in the air. O that reminds me of a song....... George Harrison............O Lord.

What good news of the little baby Frank I hope he can soon go home to his mum and dad and Jan too can rest assured he is safe.

I am sad to say that Hoggy is no more. I just had a funeral pier for him as when I looked at him this morning he was gone and the box was covered in very small black ticks so the lot got burnt............. :-( :-( :-(

Thanks for sending Jane's email on Mandy. I see that 'the hat' didn't appear in the photo! lol. :-) I expect it would be too hot for it! Yes, OH has done 2 things in 2 weeks so I wonder what he'll do next? He's at the hospital again now. It's to do with the numbness he keeps getting. They couldn't find anything obvious or nasty when he went a few years ago but it seems to be a bit worse now.

Poor Jan and Ros are doing some whizzing about Frank but it's good news about the baby. I expect Ros is a bit stiff and bruised after her fall too.

Anne before we got together my OH had two cats who were brother and sister. The male was tabby and the female tabby and white. He said having the 2 meant they played with each other and were less destructive in the house when they were little.

I am doing a bit of swatting ready for tomorrow, but keep changing my mind about what I'll say. OH says I'm overthinking it and to just chill. It's alright for him though, he's a natural at these things! I'm hoping my car park pass comes in the post in the morning, otherwise they said they will leave me another one at reception. I don't want to get clamped!

I'm out tonight at another free talk by a consultant dermatologist about the sun and avoiding skin cancers! Don't I do some fun things!!!! lol.

I had a look at some of the Aldi plants yesterday and must say they were very cheap. After tomorrow I shall go to Hinckley to Lidls and see what they still have as the geraniums at Aldi were quite small.

What a shame Mel, but he obviously wasn't well. Do you tend to get a lot of ticks in Devon? There are warnings about them here in the park where the deer are.

Oh poor old hoggy ,you did your best for him Mel you couldn't have done any more , at least nothing got to him so he died in peace ,i suppose there are things that would eat a hog .

No we don't take Max out with us in the car ,we're trying to get him use to being left in his crate when we go out so if we took him with us he wouldn't want to be left , thatwill come in time .

Oh Ann i forgotten about "the hat " :-D i should think it got left at home , it would be funny if we suddenly got a photo of it in the sun LOL
I'm sure you'll know what to say tomorrow when they ask the questions ,i should think they will run through with you all the questions before hand that way the filming would flow better , last time you came across really well ,nice and clear and i didn't think you sounded nervous at all, we'll be waiting to hear all about it . :-)
