It's Only me !!!

John reported back ref Carolyn. The doctor called to examine her and was not at all pleased with what he found. He rang for an ambulance which is still not there. Ros has been round there to help get things she will need when she is admitted.

Ros has just rung to say, when the ambulance arrives, she will go with Carolyn, and John will follow in the car. Otherwise if he goes with her, he has no transport home.

Watch this space !!!

Sorry to hear about HOGGY Mel, but you did what you could, so there it is.

My it's very heavy weather here, so muggy. I have opened the conservatory door and the front window to try to get some air flowing through. There are so many clouds I expect we wull get more rain.

Ros had just finished doing her tablets for the month and just started on mine, when John rang. So all my box's of tablets are sat on the table.

I will cook the chicken, and wait for Ros to let me know when she will be home. I can then get the veg. on and warm up the chicken. I hope she won't be to late as I want to go and see Liverpool play tonight. Weather permitting. !!!

Hello everyone! Everything is ok here, we've just been busy bees the last few days!
Cas went for her final checkup this morning and her wound is healing nicely and we don't have to take her again ! The vet recommended that we clean her teeth!! I used to do this for Millie, with varying success!! So I've bought a kit on line and will have to see how we get on!!
Not much of a day here! Lots of heavy rain and yesterday we had a power cut! the first one for a long time.
Your poor friend Frank! I do hope she recovers quickly. It sounds a bit as if she might have tried to run before she could walk. Her recovery time probably needs to be longer.
Cauliflower cheese for supper tonight so nice and easy!

Just heard from Ros. The Ambulance has still not arrived. She has been sitting with Carolyn in the bedroom. She has tried to get out of bed three times but almost falls over, so she has to get back in.

Ros went down stairs to ask John if he had a number to contact the ambulance. He is asleep in the armchair. So he can't be that worried about her. :-( :-( :-(

When Ros finally gets to and from the hospital I have told her to grab something to eat on the way home, and I will get a snack at the pub.

I have turned of the chicken, I can change the water in the veg tomorrow, and we can have that tomorrow night.

When will we be able to have an evening, when she isn't chasing around after other people. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Oh thats good news Liz , how was she going back to the vets ? I bet the poor little girl wondered if you were going to leave her there again .

Poor Ros will be worn out ,i hope the ambulance turns up soon for Carolyn she does sound poorly , and fancy John going to sleep with his wife poorly like that.
It sounds as if Ros will have a late night , when the ambulance comes and they get to hospital i expect there will then be a wait to be seen .

Really chilly here now so hubby has lit the fire !!

magpie Report 18 May 2016 19:19

No she was fine Mandy. We took her.back after three days and then again today! They're so kind that she really likes them, and greets them as if they're old friends!!!
Goodness Frank, can't your friends hubby look after his wife when she's not well, without putting on other people? If I were R, he'd get a right old ticking off for going to sleep of all things, (how selfish is that?) and told not to rely on or use other people! I simply wouldn't put up with that sort of behaviour, particularly with my own OH to care for!!
Mel, have you heard that series 3 of Home Fires has been axed!! so we shall never know the outcome of that Spitfire crash or anything else come to that!!!! I'm gutted!!!

Frank Report 18 May 2016 22:06

Just heard from Ros, still at the hospital. It was touch and go if Carolyn was to LIVE OR DIE.

As it was raining, I decided to walk down to the pub early
. Would you belive the Ambulance was in the driveway of J & C house at 7.00 pm.

Ros said the ambulance crew were very good, and checked her over before taking her to A & E, she is not sure if she will be allowed home tonight. She has ben on a drip since arriving at hospital.

All she and John could get to eat was a sausage roll and a Mars Bar. (that took the taste of the Sausage roll away) !!!

I will stay up till she arrives home, I hope it won't be too late as I am feeling tired.

It's totally the other way here Mandy, I am very warm and down to my U/Pants. It's been a very muggy evening here.

Poor Liverpool lost 3 -- 1 tonight, Which was no more than they deserved.

Thankfully Tony was down the pub tonight, and brought me home, it was raining quite heavery, so saved me getting soaked.

See you in the morning. Good night and GOD blrsd.

Poor Carolyn I hope they keep her in and find out whats really wrong with her. Ros is doing a lot of running around after others lately and should take care of herself otherwise she will be the one needing help and she dos'nt want that with a holiday comeing up. They won't be able to call on her when your away.

It turned into a nice day this afternoon. I went out to my she dand sowed a lot of seeds in cells and took down the last of last years sweet pea stalks off the last tub outside oh's study. The clemetis was growoing right through them so it took a little time and I did manage not to break any of the tender stems. They have flowers on already.

Yes we do get a lot of ticks down here with all the long grass, deer and foxes that are about.

Liz its not fair when we get a program we like and they decide to axe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was one of the only things I looked forward to watching. There is so much rubbish on at the moment.

Ann good luck tomorrow with the filming. I am sure you will be fine and know exactly what to say. Your a clever girl to be able to do these sort of things. I could'nt.

Well I think I shall go in the shower now and have a relax before bed.

See you all in the morning night night.

Frank Report 19 May 2016 11:12

Morning all, Evening Kim,

Happy birthdaytoyour Son Mel, how old would he be today.

The Carolyn sage continues, at about midnight they took more bloods, and said when the results come back (ABOUT THREE HOURS) if they are satisfactory she would be able to come home. At this point Carolyn said to John,"Take Ros Home" which he did. He went back and came home with Carolyn at 3.30 am. She had to be back for more tests at 9.40 this morning. Why didn't they keep her in ??? The long and short of it is, that her heart rate was very high, and that at anytime it could have packed up. She was all wired up with nurses at the monitor at all times. That doesn't read right SORRY she wasn't wired up to the nurses :-D :-D :-D :-D

Iheard last night that "JIMMY" who died this week. Paid his foor and drinks bill monthly. When he died the account stood at £800.00. I wonder if the pub will get paid.?? There is no news regarding his funeral.

Overcast sort of day here, I think we will get rain at some time later.

I hope you all have a peacefull day xxx

Latest on Carolyn. She had more tests this morning, and has more on Monday and Tuesday. Monday they will take a piece of her Kidney for a biopsy. Then she will have to lay flat on her back for 6 hours to make the kidneys work harder. Yesterday, where as a normal kidney functions at 100 per cent, hers was down to 13 per cent. With all the drips etc it got up to 26 per cent, which the doctor said was acceptable, and let her go home at 3.30 am this morning.

She managed to walk round to see Ros this morning. She doesn't look too good, but the Doctor said she must try to walk, but NO heavy lifting or anything to tiring.

When she called Ros had just got out the shower and was dripping wet, and I had just got in. So Ros had to wrap a dressing gown round her and open the door.

Then Chicken that I had cooked yesterday, I gave to Carolyn with a nice jug of onion gravy. They can have it hot or cold. I have got a large shoulder of lamb out for our dinner tonight when Jan comes.

I have the pleasure of her company while Ros is at Choir practise tonight.
She will pick up the two Vals as usual. She won't stay for coffee tonight so should be home about 9.15/ 9.30 pm. Not soon enough for me. What on earth will we talk about for all that time. Let's hope there's something good on Tele !!

Happy Birthday to your Daughter for tomorrow Liz, in case I forget in the morning. Will you be meeting up with her for her Birthday ??

I must take a photo of the Clemitas in the Cherry tree.

Gill I haven't forgot about the photo's for Sandra, It's just that I can't find them. ;-) ;-) ;-)

I wonder if Jane managed to stay dry on her boat trip. ??? I can just imagine her falling A over H out of the boat and into the river. :-D :-D :-D

Carolyn has SVT it is more usual in young people. Heart rate can be 120 to 140 per minute. As she is 71 It seems stange. I hope the hospital will be able to find a treatment that will work.

I HAVE just hung out a line of washing. Tops from Bottom, Bottoms from top. See I do remember. !!!!

magpie Report 19 May 2016 17:30

Daughter's birthday is on Saturday Frank, but thank you for your good wishes.
Goodness your friends heartbeat is quite a bit too high. The norm is between 60 and 100 beats a minute (resting). Let's hope the hospital can sort the problem out, and her kidneys too. No wonder she didn't feel well! I wonder they don't have private medical care! they would certainly be attended to much sooner and the problems potentially a lot less damaging and uncomfortable. Surely Ros doesn't have to keep running round after them?! From what you've told us they could more than afford proper domestic help both with housework, cooking and transportation!! Sounds a bit as if they're using you both like willing horses!
We've bought a superior sani maker! We've used the cheap one I bought so much and found it so useful, so we've splashed out on something better!!

Evening All,

Frank how kind you and Ros are. Ros looking after Carolyn better than her husband and you giving them things you have cooked. She's been really poorly hasn't she and I hope she is soon a lot better. Do you want to adopt me? :-)

It's sad that you don't even have contact with your grandchildren Mel, but it's how life turns out sometimes and you just never know what might happen in the future. :-)

Well it's been a hectic day or two. Yesterday afternoon while I was elsewhere in the bungalow an automatic download of Windows 10 on my PC happened as I wasn't here to stop it! It seemed ok for an hour or 2 but then it wouldn't connect to the internet, kept freezing and all my desktop icons vanished!! These things always happen when you need your PC, but I had to use OH's in the end. I rang the tech support we use tonight and they have put it back to Windows 8.1, but it took another phone call as once it was done it started downloading it again!

This afternoon I sat on my own in the reception area to wait till I was called to 'do my bit'. Several people walked by and the nurse who looked after me before came over for a chat. Off he went to do more samples and then a young man came walking past reception. As soon as he spotted me he smiled, pointed to me and shouted across, 'I know you'. I was racking my brain thinking the grey cells weren't working well as I don't remember you, and he kept walking and said 'I've seen your video'. I grinned then and as he passed by he looked back and called out 'You're famous!!!. lol, lol. You should have seen the receptionist's eyes open wide!! I got called for the filming then and passed the room with all the standing desks which they have changed over to. I couldn't see any chairs! The interviewing was hard as we kept having to redo bits as there were so many bumps and bangs from rooms nearby! Then I'd find I'd missed a bit out that I'd said the time before! It took about an hour, but only a little will be used anyway as they were filming all day for a very small film. The main thing is that the professors are happy with what they put in.

Mel, we had some training courses at work where some of it would be videoed and I managed to escape being filmed on all but one. I was filmed interviewing someone but was so nervous and then relieved when it failed and they couldn't fix the problem!!! :-) I could still never stand in front of large groups and talk like OH did. He said he was quite envious this morning.

Beading in the morning, so I'd better sort what I need!

Red lemonade Dermot, I never even knew it existed. Did it taste like the clear lemonade?
