So true Mel............most men are not good at mooching for ages. That sounds a good idea for Friday for you and Di. My sister is good to go mooching with too, especially around markets or antique shops. lol.

I felt I must tell you. I heard from Ted's son this evening. He started the Conversation with. "I DON'T NEED THIS" When I asked why I didn't hear from him or his mum about Ted's death, he replied "I have a list of priorities who to ring. AND YOU ARE THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST" of course I put down the phone. They will never ever hear from me again. I have told Ros if and when anything happens to me, SHE must not inform them, not that it would appear to bother any of them. To say the least I am very upset.

I don't think I will be sending any flowers or any contact with them about the funeral arrangements.

I will be taking a few days away from the THREAD. Please no phone calls. I will look in to see how you are all doing.

See you when I am feeling more friendly. God Bless you all.

Morning all,

Not such a bad day here at present as we have some sun but then it goes a bit cloudy.

Any of you have anything planned for today or will you just see how the day goes and take it from there?

I want to get out in the garden after loading the washing machine.

Oh is out there now.

Morning All
Lovely morning so far here and nice and warm.Chris has gone for a walk.I have rung and left a message on the Plumbers phone to ask when he is actually going to be here :-S
I thought we would have Spag Bol tonight.I got the mince etc yesterday but now realise I forgot the Spaghetti :-| :-|.So I will now have to wait for Chris to get back so I can go out.(just in case the Plumber might just arrive! )Can't really see that happening though.
I need to get my Geraniums in now :-)

Good Morning everyone

It is a nice day here at the moment and Amy has had her walk.

It is Richard's 49th birthday today and he has gone to London with one of his friends, they plan to visit Tate Modern and the O2 arena so I hope the weather stays fine for them.

Not much planned for today but house work and pottering in the garden.

Happy Birthday to Richard Ann.Im sure the weather will be quite good today for London.Hopefully if there are showers he will be in the Gallery or O2 at the time :-D
I am finding it a bit sticky this morning.Think I had better put a cooler top on.
I have just found 6 dead bees in the Garage and 2 more very slow and weak ones.!
I hope there isn't a nest somewhere and that they are just getting in through the gaps in the sides of the garage door. It's all a bit odd.

There is a big black cloud just coming over.So I better get Thomas in from his cage.I have been watching him from in here and he has been trying to climb the bars. But he's not supposed to be doing that :-S

Happy Birthday Richard.

Had a shower lunchtime and I had to bring the washing in. Since then it dried up but still a bit windy.

Hope you had a nice lunch with BIL and co Mandy. Is that the BIL that had his knee done and if it is has he recovered now?

Jane

Jane Report 30 Jun 2016 16:41

I bet Mandy and OH are full to the brim now after a nice lunch out..No cooking tonight :-D :-D.
No rain arrived after all.Thomas was very pleased to be let out of confinement and after a whole pouch of food is finally dead to the world.I have some peace now :-D.

We have picked the first lot of Broad Beans and Peas this afternoon. All the Petit Pois have finished. We have had 8 very long Cucumbers and about 12 mini ones.Plus all the new Potatoes so we aren't we lucky. The Broad Beans are nice and small. They are not my favourite veg but if they are tiny I don't mind so much.It is the big ones I really dislike. I nipped to the Garden Centre to get some trailing plants to go in the pots with the Geraniums. There are called Bacto something(I never remember the name).I'll put them in tomorrow.
Still nothing from the Plumber :-S :-S :-S..I'm getting peeved now.

Tomorrow I collect my new specs :-D.I must remember to take all my old ones in to put in the donation box.

Mel did OH fix the digger/tractor? Now where on earth is our Liz???

Hope Richard and his friend are enjoying the day in London Anne.I have to say Tate Modern is not my favourite gallery.I found some of the stuff there a bit weird lol.
My Sister and OH will have been busy clearing MILs bungalow today. They left Tewkesbury with the van about 9.30 last night and drove over night to Leeds.I have a feeling that MIL will be wanting to be watching on the side lines to make sure Janice doesn't chuck out her 15 handbags that she wants to keep !!!!!!,plus all the dresses she still has from the 60's !!!!!Never mind everything else.It is not going to be an easy day for them.
Just settling down here now to watch Murray in his match.

You are so right Jane we are both stuffed , i had a chicken dish ,hubby and BIL had Gammon steaks and sister had veg lasagne ,for puds the men both had a huge Banana Split ,i had a nice Lemon Pannacotta pud and sister had Tiramaso, two rounds of drink and the bill was just under sixty pound , we got there for half twelve and left about three !! we sat talking and didn't realise what time it was, not that we had to rush home Max was fine in his crate.

Yes Mel it is the BIL who had the knee op ,sister is now walking with out her stick and her scar has now healed nicely .

I miss not having cucumbers to pick this year , my Toms are very slow ,plenty of flowers on the tumbling toms but only a couple of toms that i can see at the moment , the bigger tom plants have flowers but are very stunted plants ,they started off so well but seem to have come to a stand still.

Anne

Anne Report 30 Jun 2016 19:27

Mandy. pleased to hear you enjoyed your meal and had a lovely chat as well.
I thought the bill was very reasonable for all four of you and the added bonus that Max had been a good boy.

We watched Britain's favourite dogs yesterday evening and Labradors came first not surprising as they are very popular around here and Golden Retrievers were also in the top ten.

Morning all,

Pinch and a punch. Thats June out of the way and now its all down hill from now on.

We,ve had the longest day and midsummers day and not a lot of summer at all. Today it is dreay and last night it rained so you can guess how I am feeling today.

I always think May and June are the best months of the year, flowering bulbs bringing life back to the soil and colour to our hearts and the trees dressed with all their fresh green leaves and the grass in the hedgerows all green and studded with wild flowers. Then along come the council men and cut it all down at the sides of the roads.

Just a quick hello to say we're fine! We were very busy last weekend which left us feeling very tired; what with that, the weather and a very dear friend nearing the end of his life, I haven't felt at all chatty just nothing to say really! My SIL lost her beloved little dog on Wednesday! she was old, but they're as devastated as we were over Millie. Not a good week!

Annx

Annx Report 1 Jul 2016 11:03

Morning All,

Sorry you haven't had a good week Liz. Some weeks are like that with sad news.

I like May and September best I think. In June everywhere looks so colourful, but often it tends to be a bit too hot for me here in the midlands. As part of the spending cuts, very little of the roadside verges have been cut round here Mel. On the main roads they have just cut the 12 inches next to the road and left the rest. In recent years they have tended to not cut the verges completely back like they used to too but it is noticeable this year that it is just the edges on main roads. I always thought it was an unecessary cost and I'm delighted as it is interesting to see the different wild flowers and it provides cover and food for the wildlife too. :-)

Your meal sounded nice Mandy......I would have loved your desert! Hopefully it took your hubby's mind off the delay for a while too. It's good your sister and BIL are doing well now.

I saw that prog about the dogs too Anne. The black Lab was lovely wasn't he. I hope Richard and his friend had a nice day out.

Will catch up with the other posts later. I'm off out again, up the motorway to McArthur Glen this time and mustn't be there too long or I'll get caught up with the Friday commuter traffic.

I hope Frank is calmer now, but it must be a very upsetting for him. <3 BBL

Pleased to see you back Liz and hope you have a better week now.

Also Frank, we are missing you.

Richard & Mark enjoyed their day out in London, they were lucky with the weather. Richard has been to Tate modern before, he is interested in all aspects of visual art, he takes after my brother in that respect. I think they went up to the top of the O2 I know it involved wearing helmets etc and from there had a good view over London also it cost £25.00 each and it took quite a while, he didn't say too much about it as it was late when he got home. I did look on the internet but couldn't find out anything from there.

Just about to clean the bathroom and down stair toilet, while I've got the place to myself.

It's raining hard again now so will need to put the towels in the tumble dryer.

Amy is 12 years old today so that makes her 84 in human years soon she will be getting telegraph from the Queen's corgis :-D :-D <3 <3
