I do feel sorry for Val Frank. She doesn't sound a well woman at all. That hubby of hers needs to wake up doesn't he.

Just done a search and renewed my car insurance and saved £70 on last year. It's £202 with legal protection, protected NCB and courtesy car, which is not bad at all considering what car it is.

Better dash and get showered now to go out for lunch. I've been dusting and clearing webs in the bedroom this morning and am hot and bothered as it is the sunny side of the bungalow in the mornings. Where have all the webs suddenly come from?

Ann you sweep them down one day and they are back the next round here. I went through with the hoover in the hall last week and I swear I sucked up ten spiders and webs and when I walked down the hall this morning I have at least another five.

Suns out and its a beautiful day so I am off up the garden.

I am ashamed to say I had one of my bad tempers last night. I was so nasty to Ros, and threatened NOT to have my knee done. I sat up till almost 4.00 am watching T.V. and sleeping in the chair. She had to wake me to go to bed.

I think keeping everything cooped up inside of my head, is doing me no good. I haven't been out for nearly TWO WEEKS. and don't want to. I don't seem to have any "get up and go" all I do all day is sit and watch T.V. Read and cook meals. I just don't know how to get things settled in my head. (SORRY FRIENDS) but I need to clear my thoughts.

We spoke with Conrad last night the Temp. out in Spain was 33.5 degrees yesterday. So a bit warmer than we are having. Jane would love it, NOT. !!!

Ros has gone out with Carolyn again today. She wants to pick new bedroom furniture for the spare bedroom. I bet that will take up most of the day ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Washing Machine has finished, so onward and upward.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so down again Frank but it is good for you to get it off your chest, I expect Ros knows what you are going through, she is a very special lady. I don't know how you feel about them but I'm wondering if a course of anti-depressants may help.

It's a beautiful day here, hopefully summer has arrived at last.

I've just made a cottage pie for tonight's dinner and just going to have some soup and a roll for lunch.

Anne my love, I am on anti- depressants already. I don't know if the doctor would increase my dosage.. With the amount I take in tablets, I will rattle if you shake me :-D :-D :-D

Washing all dried, folded and ready for Ros to iron.That's something she won't let me do ;-) ;-) ;-)

Roast Chicken for us tonight, It's all stuffed and sitting on a bed of onions in gravy. in the oven away from any blasted flies. I have done New Potato's Runner beans, Broad beans, carrots and podded peas. and sweetheart cabbage.. I am going to put a rice pudding in the bottom of the oven for afters.

Anne that's given me an idea for Fridays meal. I haven't made a cottage pie for a few weeks. It will be curried chicken for tomorrow with rice.

Still home alone, so might watch a bit of tennis.

Just to let you know we're fine, and at last enjoying the sun. Jane I've sent you an e-mail.
Nothing much to report from here, OH has had PSA test today and next week has an appointment with the urologist.. This seems part of our lives now so we should be used to it, but it does cast a bit of a shadow. I'm sure Anne knows the feeling!
Spoke to both of our two yesterday, they are both very supportive and positive which does perk us up no end!

Liz I am sure we are all behind you an Ian on this and hope he gets good results.

Had a late lunch and now I am going to finish the last of the bedroom windows as I cleaned the others before lunch so its just the back big one to do. Then I may go outside and clean that. Oh sprayed the bungalow with the wet and forget to get the moss stuff off the walls but it also ran down the windows and they look dreadfull. I do like to be able to see whats going on out the back in the mornings.....

Frank,before I forget to say.I think it might be an idea to actually see if you can change to a different Antidepressant .If you have been on the same one for some time now it may not be as effective.Chris said that this can often happen.

So my Birthday !.Another year gone by :-S
I had a great day yesterday with Hannah .She met me at the station and we then got a tube to some station(don't know which one).I just followed :-D..We then walked for about 10 minutes and arrived on Park Lane.I thought ooh this is a posh bit lol.
We were having lunch at the Hilton.We met Sarah (hannah's aussie friend) and took the lift up 28 floors to a Restaurant called GALVIN at WINDOWS.The view was amazing.We had a table that over looked St James Park and Buckinhham Palace.Lovely lunch and extra chocs and Marshmallow things at the end of the meal.As we were leaving the girl who had served us told us to follow her.She took us through the kitchens!!! along a bit of a corridor and opened a door right onto a long balcony on the other side of the building.We went out and the the view from there was even better than the one from our table.This was overlooking Hyde Park and around.We were so high up.
After that we said good bye to Sarah and Hannah took me ot see Ab Fab at a plush Cinema were we could take our glass of wine in .What a crazy film !!!!!! Joanna Lumley is just so good .You would never thing she was as old as she is.After that we got a taxi to Kings Cross where we went to a wined Tapas Bar.THis was about 6.30.My train was at 8.She then says that Gareth (the new boyfriend) was going to join us :-D :-D :-D

Then today Chris and I went for lunch at Ascoughs in Market Harborough.It was packed !.Had a smashing meal .I couldn't manage a pudding !!
Fitz called in this morning wit ha bouquet of White Roses,Blue,Hydrangeas and another White flower.They are bootiful.
I had a voucher from James for the Beauty Salon,and Chris gave me 2 lovely pairs of earrings.Usually he is not the best at choosing the right style but he has surpassed himself this year :-D.Also a new lightweight dressing gown and a nightie then that thing advertised on TV for smoothing,buffing and filing toenails.That no doubt will not be quite as easy as it appears LOL
So all in all I have had a really lovely couple of days :-D

I have to ring the Plumber now.He did arrive this morning :-).But I have just got to test something on the tank and ring him now.

The family has been here all day and son has at last put the new fence panels up at the end of the garden .
I haven't read any post yet will do that later as i need to sort out some thing for our meal .

Sounds like Hannah had planned all that very welll Jane and I am glad you had such a lovely day with her and all her treats.

You had some lovely presents you lucky girl. The flowers sound great from Fitz too and good old Chris for choosing the right earings this time. So nothing to change this year.

It sounds like you've had a great couple of days Jane. The views sound lovely so do all your gifts, certainly a birthday to remember <3 I hope the card I sent arrived on time.

I finally bought myself some new earrings yesterday to replace the one I lost, I bought stronger backs for them so they don't fall off, I wouldn't want to lose another earring. The backs should of been £17 but he let me have them for £10 because I bought the earrings off him, which was nice, so they are in now which will stop them closing up. I had a bit of trouble putting the right one in, but that is probably because I haven't had any earring in since I lost one on Sandra's birthday in April. It's so nice to have some in now though.

You've been very busy today Mel, at least all the cleaning is done for now until the spiders build themselves some new homes :-D :-D

Sorry to hear you're still feeling down Frank, maybe you should see your doctor about getting different tablets like Jane and Chris said, it could be that your body has got used to the ones you have been taking so they're not having the right effect on you now. Hope you feel better soon.

Pleased to hear your fence panels are all up now Mandy. We've finally finished the framework and I put up one piece of plastic then found out that the measurement stated on the pack was longer than the actual plastic, of course we made the framework to fit the measurements on the pack so now we're going to have to put more wood above what we've already done, luckily it's only going to be a few pieces, just enough for me to screw the plastic onto. We are using the plastic, which is actually a weed suppressant membrane, as I wind break and a barrier over the wood to stop it decaying to fast, it'll also hide all the wooden framework before we put the screening up.

Well, I'd better go and see to dinner, I've not long finished in the garden and haven't eaten all day, so I'm starving.

Just got my beers into the conservatory ready for the match at 8.00 pm. Ros wanted to take me to the pub but I can't be bothered.

I will have a word with the doctor regarding my medication.

Well I have been earning brownie points today. I dried and folded all the washing, cooked a wonderful meal plus a rice pudding. Hoovered through the bungalow, and did all the washing up tonight.

Ros and Carolyn never got round to looking at furniture. She was to busy trying to find a replacement TOILET SEAT. They have been to every outlet (not a pun) but were unable to find one. Gawd knows hw old the is she is trying to replace.

Stitchery Do tomorrow, so HOME ALONE again !!!

Jane You certainly had a lovely birthday, Hannah's treats sound amazing so many different things in just one day, She is a very thoughtful girl, I'm pleased to hear she has found a nice boyfriend.

Frank I think it's a good idea to see your doctor about reviewing your medication, a new prescription may help you sleep better too.

Liz I hope your OH's PSA test goes well the good thing is they are checking up on him so if anything needs attention it will be found early. The waiting for the results is a worry as I know. I always tell myself next time I won't worry so much but of course I do as I am one of life's worriers.

Gill and Mandy you have both been busy in your gardens .My garden seems to be a haven for the slugs and snails I wish they would eat the weeds as quickly as they do some of the plants.
