That is a lovely pic of your Dad Anne :-)
Aggie apparently started being sick last night Anne and was still being sick this morning. My BIL took her to the Vet and she took bloods(which were normal) gave her an anti emetic inj and an antibiotic inj .Then at lunch time she seemed to be settling so Janice and Larry popped out to to the Medieval Festival just for over an hour. When they got home they just found Aggie dead.So poor Larry rang the vet and they said to take her in.Whether they want to see if they missed anything I don't know. But I think they will sort out the cremation. It never rains but pours for my Sister. She was going to bleach the kitchen floor just incase whatever might be infectious as she has 2 other dogs.
Oh I just scrolled back and saw Franks message about Liz.Thanks Frank. What a rotten couple of weeks Liz has had....Thinking of you Liz <3
I knew you would have been missed at the pub Frank :-DI bet it did you the world of good to finally get out :-D
This weather today is so oppressive .Even the cat is hardly moving. He is just lolling around and has only had a very short mosey out in the garden. He is now flat out on the top of the stairs!
I am doing more of our potatoes tonight.Nice little chunks roasted in Olive Oil.Chicken Breasts and Asparagus wrapped in Proscuitto .Tarragon Carrots and Broccoli .The Tarragon is from my Herb Bed :-D Just the 2 of us to feed as James won't be home until tomorrow.

Thanks for letting us know about Liz Frank. Keep your chin up Liz, we're all thinking of you <3 Pleased to hear you've had a good night sleep on your new mattress Frank, I guess you won't be sending it back then?
Jane, sorry to hear about Aggie, good idea of your sister's to bleach the floor, you can't be to careful, especially with the other dogs.
I'm just watching the qualifying of the F1 and Hamilton's time has just been deleted, something to do with track limits at turn 9. Going to watch the end of it to see what happens next. Hope Hamilton gets a time in and makes it on poll. BBL

Evening All,
Much cooler here today. Last night was sweltering and so humid. After a heavy downpour this morning it's much fresher.
I'm not surprised they welcomed you back at the pub Frank.........the takings must have been down!!! lol I'm glad you got a good night's kip on the new mattress. It sounds like you will be keeping it. :-) Yes, how will you know Val has had any meal you cook for her with that husband of hers? I wouldn't put it past him to persuade her to let him have it instead. She is going to need much more care before long. One of my neighbours developed Parkinsons and was unable to leave his bed in the end. His wife was brilliant and got carers in morning and night to help.
Things like the homeless man prey on my mind Mandy and I always wonder what befell them in life to be in such a situation. It can be so easy to fall down, not so easy to get back up again though. I suspect some can't cope with hostels due to their own or other residents mental or drug or drink problems and so prefer to be on the streets. At work we used to have some involvement with a local resettlement unit and the residents there had beds but would still choose to 'disappear' for several days at a time. I bet Lacey wasn't pleased to be missing Sports Day. I suppose your son doesn't want any chance of the children hurting themselves on the fishtank again! I was watching Hampton Court Show the other night and thought some of the metal garden sculptures would do you some damage if you fell on them!! :-0
I met up with a couple of old work friends yesterday including the one who has breast cancer. She seems to be doing well and is very positive, but it sounded like she's had a gruelling time with the mastectomy and all the drugs chemo, radiotherapy etc. She's only 58 with her youngest daughter aged 18 about to start uni.
Sorry to hear Liz's sad news, thanks for passing it on Frank.
How awful for your sister and BIL to come home and find one of the dogs dead Jane. They aren't having a very good year are they. Yes I would be sloshing bleach around too, just in case. Were all the dogs together?
Well I'm late starting my packing for our Norfolk break on Monday. I felt off the pace the last 2 days and really tired and didn't sleep at all on Thursday night. Much better this afternoon though so I've made a start. OH says I won't need much for 5 days, but you still have to decide WHAT to take don't you. :-)

I posted your card yesterday Ann, so hopefully you'll have it before you go away. I hope the weather improves for you and you have a great time <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY for the big day
I've got a bit of a bug that's started today so I'm off to bed now. Hopefully a good nights sleep might help. My router plug broke altogether today so OH cut the wire and re-wired it, so far it seems to be working. I don't have a phone number for my provider so once I managed to get online I tried looking for it, only to come across quite a few different numbers so I'm not sure which one to ring, they all say customer services. I'll try them on Monday if I feel a bit better.
See you all tomorrow if I feel up to it. Night Night

O dear Liz its just not your month is it? I am so ryy to hear about your friend of many years. I lost my best friend with cancer. Lynda and I were at school together and she only lived up the road to me. We were both pregnant at the same time but she lost her first baby falling on the stairs. She moved to France with her second hubby so I had'nt seen her for some years. I know just how sad you feel and am sending you love and wishes.
Poor Janice finding Aggie like that they must be so upset.
Hope you feel better tomorrow Gill and are able to watch the GP. Glad Hammy got pole.
See Frank you were missed down the pub we said you would be. Its nice to know your missed is'nt it? Did you enjoy your beers?
Ann you coud pop in and meet Mandy if your going to Norfolk..........you'de see the lovely Max then too.
I am off now so see you all in the morning night night.

Mens finals today so that will be sorted for this afternoon. I need more veg so will have to pop out .I thought I still had plenty.I think I might just make a dash for it now. I expect Ann will be busy packing and cleaning the bungalow today ready for her break.
Frank I hope you and Ros had a second night of good sleep on the new mattress.

Morning all on this horrid windy dull day.
Had a lie in this morning. Not that I have done anything to tire myself out apart from staying up late but I must have needed it.
I have a few p (BUM) typing stopped coming up again. I'll start again.
I have a few plants that need potting on and I shall do that and pick more strawberries and there's always ironing to do.

Afternoon all,
The "RED ARROWS" have just flown over to Silverstone. The other year there was a Lancaster and a Spitfire as well as the Red Arrows. What a wonderful sight.
We have just had a real heavy shower. Ros was under the Cherry Tree sheltering. I went to the green bin with all the veg trimmings, and got soaked, only had my shorts on. It's cleared over now and the sun is coming out.
I aee in the paper this morning that we are going to get Spain's HOT WEATHER for the next SIX WEEKS. I'll believe that when it comes ;-) ;-) ;-)
Sorry to hear about your sisters dog Jane, How old was she ?? Lets hope the vet can find what killed her, might it have been a reaction to the injections. ??
Yes we both had a good night again last night, so it looks like the mattress will be staying. !!!
Ann where are you staying in Norfolk ?? I spent most of my RAF days in Norwich and West Raynham, both of which Mandy knows well.It might be nice if you could arrange a meet up with Mandy, if only for a COT and a chat.
I bet gill will be glued to the T.V. for the G.P and Jane for the tennis. I'm not that bothered with either, but will try to watch the Final match tonight. France V Portugal.
The screen is starting to jump about, so I had better get this posted. !!!!

That was a great sight Frank to see the Red Arrows :-D.We haven't had too much rain and now the sun is coming out. Yes I will be glued to Wimbledon .Can't stand all this chat going on beforehand though.
No Frank it wouldn't have been hte injections that killed Aggie. She had beun to be ill the night before. It must have been terrible for Janice and Larry to find her like that and with the other 2 dogs in the kitchen too.I wonder if they knew Aggie had died or maybe they might have thought she was asleep.
Mel my neighbours were thrilled with the potatoes. I will be using up the last of ours today so I will have to start buying them again. They have been the best we have ever had.
Just done a bit of ironing ,but even with the fan on it was still so hot.The iron won't be on again today thats for sure :-D
I am just going to have a nice egg and tomato roll for lunch with salad cream :-D

OOoooo egg and tomato with salad cream how lovely. When we have sandwiches of egg and tomato I always chop the egg up with salad cream and oh calls them fishing sandwiches because thats what he always took fishing.
The sun came out here and it is really really hot inside and out even though there's quite a good blow out there.
Had our big breakfast watching the GP. Enjoyed the race after the safety car went in after 5 laps and our Lewis won again.

Yes great news for Lewis. I am half watching the Tennis. That Canadian has certainly got a serve on him.
I have just taken a COT and biscuits out to Ros. She is still finding things to do. The neighbours Ivy and bindweed is a real problem. I can see I will have to treat it with weed killer. It's growing through our fence and getting into our bushes and clematis. I have asked them to do something about it, but it has fallen of deaf ears. So I will do something now !!!! If it kills anything on their side of the fence, tough TITTY. !!!
A lot of noise coming from the tele. so something is happening. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Snap, we are also having egg sandwiches for tea tonight, also tomatoes with watercress or rocket, I have already hard boiled the eggs and we make up our own sandwiches. The girls and Paul are here as usual, it's Becky's 14th birthday today. We had her favourite dinner earlier, roast loin of pork with crackling and all the veg. and Yorkshire We also had a wet morning but it's lovely and sunny now, Richard took Amy over the forest earlier and he said the "Go Ape" was very busy.
Ann, have a good holiday in Norfolk we have spent quite a few holidays there mostly on the Broads. Also Happy Birthday, I wasn't sure what day it is so Paul posted your card this morning for me when he went into Bracknell to get Becky's present.
Gill I hope you are feeling better and enjoying the racing.
Abbie has just started a holiday job in an office in Wokingham getting £5.00 per hour, she gets a lift from her cousin who has a permanent job there otherwise it would be on the train it is only one stop away but then there would be her fare to pay for

Oh this 3rd set is going on a bit.I hope it doesn't go to 5 sets.Got dinner to do !!!.I have been in and out of the kitchen preparing things,so it is all ready to go in the oven. I have chicken breasts with Olives and Sunblushed Tomato(had them the other day and they were lovely) from Sainsburys, the last of our potatoes cubed and roasted again,Asparagus wrapped in Smoked Pancetta,Mushrooms and Vine Tomatoes. They will all go in one pan together in the oven.I think it all sounds tasty :-D
Sitting on the edge of my seat now Tie break for the 3rd set. I can still type though :-D How funny you having egg sandwiches too Anne with Tomatoes.I would have had cress but haven't got any. Birthday wishes to your Granddaughter Anne.14 ! she will be beginning to feel quite grown up now :-)
We had a holiday once in Norfolk,in Brancaster. The children were very young then.We had a little cottage. It was in 1987.It was a sad end to the holiday though as the last night we were there I had a call in the middle of the night from Mum to say that my Dad only had a couple of days left.I had to hot foot it down to Plymouth then. I do remember we had lovely weather in Norfolk (hoping Ann will have the same)
Murray has won :-D..I would have been just as pleased had the Canadian won.I thought he was great. Am I right in thinking the winner gets £2 million?Or did I imagine that
I wonder how Gill is today?Hope fully no worse and maybe feeling a bit better.
Thomas is lying on the floor beside me.I have had to lift my feet up on another chair as he has that look in his eye :-S
