Morning all
Just let Max out for a wee and now i'm back in bed but i feel wide awake , doesn't look that bright out this morning in fact i think its now drizzling.
Family should be coming this morning ,the girls asked if they could have the bouncy castle out so Max will be in his crate while they play on that, he would soon have a hole in it with his nibbling .

Morning Mandy and all,
Hope our boy is feeling better today.
Raining in the air here too and has been most of the night by the looks of it. Grey skies all around.
Thanks Jane for the pics of little Gilly. My Russel used to sleep on her mum like that. She is a cutey and I can see her taking over as leader of the pack.

Good Morning All
The suns just come out here as well but not so warm as yesterday thank goodness.
We are having roast pork today so must make sure to get the crackling well done, it's in the oven as we are eating about 1.30 just Paul & Abbie today as Becky is on holiday with her Mum & Neil because of Abbie's holiday job but as she dislikes Neil she didn't want to go anyway. Her other Nan & Grandad are staying at the house with her while they are away. She could have stayed here but it would make getting a lift from her cousin difficult as they both live the other side of Bracknell to us and the roads are very busy in the mornings as we are between the M3, M4 and M25 routes out to Reading & London
Amy is waiting for Richard to take her over to the forest for her usual Sunday walk.
Jane your Sister's new puppy looks gorgeous with her big brother looking after her How is young Thomas today, has he caught his breakfast yet?

Suns out now and it's really hot out there ,family has just gone home ,no bouncy castle put up today for the girls as there so much wind it keeps twirling the garden brolly about at one point i thought it was going to take off !!!
You should be ok today with the roast Anne as it's not so hot , you carn't beat a nice piece of pork crackling although some times you get a piece that just won't crackle up.
Not sure what we're having today ,some thing from the freezer thats nice and easy i think .

Morning to my dear friends, (SORRY AFTERNOON). Sorry I haven't been in touch. I am trying very hard to cut down on Ros's attention.. But she is there, should I need her.
I am now able to get myself off the bed and into the bathroom, for the toilet and washing. She helps me on with clean u/pants and shorts, then I get to the chair in the lounge. Some of the time I keep my leg on the floor, but others on the stool. I am still in a lot of pain, and we have found the biggest bruise around my thigh where they had put the tornique and that is giving a lot of discomfort.
Madam is forcing me to eat, breakfast, lunch and evening meal,. not that I want to eat them all the time. I must me getting through a GALLON of cold water every day, The amount of pain killers I am on is drying me out.
JJ went home Friday evening, and Harvey is bringing the "RAG DOLL" up this afternoon for her three weeks holiday. He goes to France on Friday for two weeks.
It seems Lewis is enjoying himself. He hasn't been getting in until TWO or THREE in the morning, and this morning it was FIVE O'CLOCK !!!! Little Bugg##
Glad to see you are all well, and that Thomas is back to his old self. It will be nice for Cas to have that extra space to run for a few weeks Liz. Hows the toe Mandy. It certainly makes you swear when it happens.
Ann, Being coloured blind, I rely on Ros to dress me. I have never had and bad remarks from anyone, on how I look, so that's good.
Ros is in charge of the Roast Beef today. I have just beaten the Yorkshire for her. She will get it ready for about 6.00 pm When Harvey arrives.
Thanks again for all your kind thoughts. I am just going to get Ros to put my ice bag on my knee as it's starting to THROB ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) <3 <3 <3

Nice to know you are getting on ok Frank even though you still have pain but thats to be expected. These things don't heal overnight. We really miss your posts when you don't get on here. The bruise sounds nasty too and they take a while togo also.
I walked into a door handle last week and it got me right on my right b**b. Never thought anymore of it but when I went in the shower a couple of days later and caught sight of myself in the mirror I had the most horrendous black bruise on the right.

Evening All Phew what a hot day even with the wind.I feel quite exhausted.Even the big fan doesn't seem to be doing much :-S
Frank it sounds as though you are coming along nicely now.The pain will begin to ease soon I'm sure.It is only just a week since the op so still really early days for you.
So it was bye bye to JJ and hello to Puss this afternoon :-DYou must be used to having an animal now :-D
Thomas is limping a bit today :-(.So I think he might have been doing too much .I have him in now and I think will keep him on the harness again tomorrow. The problem is not being able to see where he goes and how far.I have put a dose of the anti inflammatory drug on his food tonight .He hasn't eaten yet (probably stuffed with mice and whatever else ).But I expect he will eat later tonight so the medicine should help him then.He was covered in sticky green bits when he came back earlier so has obviously been in the hedges and long grass.
No roast here today.Just some chicken Breasts with Olives and some kind of marinade,Potatoes with holes in the top with a pat of herby butter that melts in the oven.I don't know what you call them. Then the veg is Carrots,Mushrooms and Asparagus done in the oven. James has just had his.Chris and I still not hungry as Fitz called in about midday so I popped some bits of Southern Fried Chicken in that needed to be cooked as they were just out of date and then just had a bit of salad with that.He is missing Podge but says that it is quite nice to know there will be no more dead creatures dragged into the house and they can leave the kitchen door open and not worry about him jumping up on the surfaces scavenging for food. That had become a real problem since the diagnosis of the Diabetes for some reason.
Mandy we had trouble with the wind and the patio umberella too !!.I spent most of the ime hanging on to the darned thing. We wound it down as low as we could to try and stop it taking off but still needed a bit of shade while we ate as it was so hot.
Mel you must have given yourself a right knock on your knocker :-D :-D to get a bruise like that !! Hope it isn't too painful. How about your toe Mandy? Can you get your shoe on without any trouble ? or is it sandals
I bet Gill is having problems still with that router and that is why we haven't heard from her. I haven't seen Fiona on FB either for a while again.I hope she isn't having more trouble with her head.
My next door neighbour filled her swimming pool last week. She is on a water meter and it took 13.000 litres or gallons(not sure which) of water !!!!!!!! That will be one hefty water bill :-0 :-0

We have our fan out again as it's been so hot ,the wind is still quite strong here . My toe is still a bit sore and when i took the plaster off it had been bleeding so i put another one on , i have my slippers on to protect it a bit in case Max puts his big paws on it .
Oh Mel thats not a good place to have a big bruise , bet that hurts when you put your bra on . Some times a bruise appears and you don't even remember knocking yourself .
Frank it is still early days but your doing well getting yourself to the loo ,just don't try to do to much ,slow and steady and you'll get there .

Our Feline visitor is getting very cheeky we had the conservatory door open all day so he came in and was sitting on the settee with Toby sitting opposite him on one of the chairs, we were in the sitting room so don't know how long he had been there.
Nice to see you back on here Frank, Hopefully the pain will start to ease off soon, Ros is doing a good job in looking after you, When do you have to go back to the hospital for a check up? They must be missing you at the pub :-D :-D It will be good to have the Rag Doll cat to keep you company and she wont need to be walked,

Was doing a jigsaw online this afternoon and just managed to finish it as my eyes kept wanting to close. Oh was having 40 winks so I joined him and a little while later he got up so I said don't let me sleep too long. I woke at 10 past 6pm. grumpy....... Could'nt get going again for a while and then it was time to corn the girls and banties.
I had cleaned out the girls and the banties this morn ing and think I wore myself out but they are both nice and clean now and so is the tarmac outside the banties and up to my shed.
My beans are romping away now and I should have a good picking next week I hope.
Off for a shower now so see you all in the morning.
Night night...

Morning Mel and everyone
Still sunny here but much cooler at the moment. Just cooked myself mushrooms & tomatoes on toast after taking Amy out, I just fancied something different from Greek yogurt and blueberries my normal breakfast.
Mel I don't know the cats name, on his collar it gives a mobile phone number one side and "please scan me" on the other, I do know where he lives when you travel down our road to get out there are flats with garages underneath and this particular flat has a small enclosed garden at the side and I spotted him going through the cat flat a few weeks ago. I think he likes company as his owners must be out most of the day. I'm still not sure if he is a boy.
Jane, thank you for forwarding the photo that Richard took on for me.
Liz, lovely photos of Cas enjoying her game, she is a pretty little dog and looks so happy.

We have had a deer laying in the top of the garden by my border since 6am this morning till about 11.30am.
Must pop up the road for some milk. We seemed to use a lot this week with cauli cheese and a cheese asta dish I cooked. O and then there were omelettes too.

Evening All Anne that cat is a real beauty isn't it :-D.Those eyes !!!!. I bet you are right about it wanting company during the day if no-one is home. How lovely that your cats are happy for it to join them in the conservatory LOL When I was young we had a cat called Peter and he would sleep on one of the dining chairs.Very often we would find Simeon the cat that lived behind us asleep on one of the other chairs :-D.There were never any fights and ~I don't think Peter actually took any notice of Simeon. By the time Simeon would be gone and that was when he owners came in from work.
Mel was the Deer basking in the sun? It was there for a long time wasn't it. I keep hearing the Muntjac Deer 'Barking' over the back here.I think they are known as the Barking Deer.
Well so much for me going to keep Thomas on the harness today. He slipped out this morning without us noticing.I tried to call him back but I got that look and the little devil jumped the fence to next door...At least I know he can do it and he came back later none the worse.I kept him in then for a few hours and let him off about 2pm.He has just come back with his dinner (mouse).Ate it under the patio table ane was then ready for the off again but I managed to get hold of him and he now in for the night :-D
Not having a lot of luck posting then Frank !!!!.Never mind.I'm sure you can still read the posts .As long as we know you are ok then that's good :-D :-D
I have had my chefs hat on this afternoon .Thought I had better make a bit of an effort while the weather is a bit cooler.I have made a Courgette and Hallumi and Watercress Pilaf. The rice is Wholemeal and Wild Rice(took ages to cook) Sounds quite healthy doesn't it ...but I have Chilli Burgers for James and a Plain Burger and Sausage each for Chris and Me :-S
It looks like the sun is finally coming out after a very cloudy day and it seems the temperature is going to be going up again towards the weekend. I bet after all this lovely weather it will change when we go to Wales on the 8th September.
I hope OH's pre op checks were fine today Mandy and that it is all go for next week .now :-).

Evening All,
Thanks for forwarding the 'intruder' pic Jane. He/she is certainly a handsome cat Anne, but I would be very worried leaving him out all day in case he was stolen. He/she seems to have been accepted in the conservatory! :-) Our previous neighbour, who lived opposite and was out most days, looked after her daughter' s 2 cats for a while and the young tabby often came visiting and would be miaowing and jingling her bell as she trotted up the garden if she heard me filling the watering cans from the water butts. She loved company and was so friendly and spent ages on my knee or with me in the garden. We only found out much later that she had other 'best friends' in the close and would visit us all!!
There's no keeping Thomas in now! He'll be off at every opening he sees!! lol. At least his leg doesn't seem to be holding him back if he can scale a fence, the little tinker. I bet he's glad to be getting his fresh food again too. I've cooked wild rice and brown rice in the past and they do take ages to cook, in fact I never was sure mine was fully cooked as it never seemed to lose all of the 'bite' it had.
How nice to see the deer in your garden Mel and for so long. They obviously feel very relaxed there.
What a shame a bout losing your post Frank. Still, as you say, we know you are ok. I hope you had a better night's sleep and that Lollipop is giving you cuddles! :-)
We went to see Easton Walled Garden near Stamford yesterday. I'm sure we went to see snowdrops there a few years ago, but OH said he didn't recognise a single thing.....so maybe not!! They are still in the process of restoring them, but they looked nice. The tearoom had a huge timber gazebo with lots of tables under it in the shade, so we had our icecreams and cake there before coming home by a different route!
I was still awake and hadn't slept when the birds started singing at 4.15am this morning, so I went and got a glass of milk and some cold baked beans!!!!! Then the dog started barking at 7.00am, then a succession of lorries came past to deliver piles of materials for the new properties being built. They were revving their engines for over half an hour to operate the lifting tackle on them. That just settled down again when I heard the blare of the window cleaner's radio, so I sent OH out in his PJs to unlock the side gate for him. Sometimes you're just not destined to get any sleep are you? :-S
I'm meeting a few friends in the morning and am really tired so it's off to bed for an early night for me now.

Gosh what is it with us nt sleeping Ann. I had a night like that the other day so the following two nights I had a couple of small glasses of port as I know that does the trick but I know you don't drink!!
I have the biggest moth flying around the kitchen. I had it last night but it must have hidden during the day and I think it has just woken up.
Going in the shower now so see you in the morning.
Donkey day tomorrow.
