That was a short sharp post Frank. How many staples did you have in your knee Frank?

I had an inquirey about my tree today and on looking at this persons tree I have left some people out. Only one family that I had'nt put all their children in but I was working on this while mum was alive and I expect I had to do something for her and never got back to it and then forgot. All are safely ensconsed with their parents now. They were the children of my 4 x gt grandfathers brother.

Mandy good luck for Colin tomorrow having his staples out. It should feel easier after they are released and out. How many staples did he have?

Moths keep tapping on the back door tonight.

We had a dry day but grey ky for most of the time till this afternoon when the sun came out briefly.

I helped oh take all the poles off the old chicken netting today as it was laid out on the back field and he finds it hard to bend down with his hips knees and ankles.

Just waiting for the gang to arrive. No rain here now but it has rained in the night.It feels no fresher though.

The Staples will be out now for OH Mandy.I hope they came out nice and easy.

Horrid here as it started raining last night and I don't think it has stopped since. Its a grey morning with light rainand everywhere is wet wet wet.

I hope Anne is having a nice rest on her hols and that Amy is getting interesting walks.

Colin should have had his staples out by now and be feeling like he is getting there slowly.

I was going to do the bedding today but I may just leave it another day to get it washed. I thought they said it was going to be a nice day here today on the forecast.

Afternoon all you lovely people ,

I am having iffy sort of days lately, a lot of pain where my kneecap was. Pain killers are helping no end. I am getting use to having them morning, lunchtime, and evening. Ros leaves some in a pot on my bedside cabinet which I take during the night.

Ros has been finding some real bargains. Knowing we are having the lounge decorated, she has been to BHS looking at curtains. She has bought two pairs of full length for the patio doors, and two pairs for the front lounge windows. They are SILVER with blackout (doesn't need lining) Retail price £320.00. SALE PRICE £60.00. She sat and made (altered) the patio door ones and they are up. She will do the front one this afternoon/evening. She has also bought some ladies slacks/trousers reduced from £186.00. down to £29.00 They are a French name which I won't attempt to spell. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) Along with those came a top and a light coat for the Autumn/Winter. ( these will be my birthday presents to her) <3 <3 <3

I had 24 staples in my knee. which came out very easy and I didn't feel a thing. I assume the wound will heal with only a small scar.

What plans have you got for the "MOB" today Jane. ?? Wicksteads might be a perfect place.

Hope Colin's staples come out alright Mandy, and how is Max behaving ?? A bit better I hope.

My screen is starting to go jumpy, so I will leave you all for now.

I am soaked.Ethan turned the hose on me !!.They just have spent nearly the whole days playing with water. Rachel has been to buy herself some jeans and tops and is now trying to decide where they will be staying tonight ...Honestly talk about disorganised !!..It will probably be somewhere around the Cambridge area oor maybe a little further as tomorrow they are going to Suffolk for a week .Meeting up with her Brother and family.

Still waiting here for a good downpour.I think one could well be on the way.Best get the washing in now I think.

Anne has had a really good week weatherwise for her week away.I am sure she will have had a lovely break . I was thinking it was this Friday she was going and not last Friday.
Must get that washing in.

Lovely photos Jane _ Thanks. Gosh those were some good bargains Frank, but I can't help feeling so sorry for the staff of BHS! We were listening on the radio to a member of staff being interviewed the other morning, and what that god awful man has done to that company and to the people who work there is nothing short of wicked! To lose your job and your pension must be devastating. The man should be in prison!
Our elder granddaughter got her GCSE results today and she got 11(!) passes including one she got last year. A passes for English, Chemistry, biology and Physics, B passes in maths history, french , A* for Art, and design and English literature and C for the two others, Spanish and German! so she's really pleased and we're very proud of her, she was only 16 are the end of March, so she has done well. Next stop the sixth form and A'levels! then university we hope!
Did a huge shop at Tesco's in Yate this morning, so we're well stocked for a while. OH had to go to the caravan centre for a 'bit', so he was able to do that at the same time!
Son here this evening, so better get my head round supper!

There are four programs in all and I think you would like it, just up your street. Set in Scotland right out in the wilds on a remote farm. Some good actors in it too.

Well all is peaceful here again.They left about 30 minutes ago.Had some lovely hugs from the boys :-D.It is very odd being called Grandma and Grandpa.The energy the little one has is incredible for a 3 yr old.He never stops.On the go the whole time .He has found some interesting'ROCKS' that he insisted on taking with him..They are just big stones in the gravel LOL.
They went to a Pick your Own this morning but all that was left to pick were Redcurrants.So I need to look up some recipes .

I'm sure Ann is fine.Maybe they have been out and about with this lovely weather.

Thomas has come in now.I think he has been lying low while the boys were here.I think he is wanting feeding.

Thanks Jane, Yes she has done well, she is a clever girl and has always worked very diligently. I think she will find A'levels a bit more exacting particularly Biology, which is supposed to be very difficult but she is very determined, so we shall see! Eventually she wants to be a Physiotherapist, concentrating on athletics, again we shall see!
Surely not Grandma Jane!, makes you sound too old!! Granny is bad enough! Grandpa is fine though!! Glad it all went so well.

Ros has been back to Tesco this morning. They charged her TWICE for my beer. Had it refunded to her card., she then went to Debenham's to have a watch replaced, that broke in half at the strap.

We/I have been searching the web for some wall grommets so we can tidy up the sky cable that comes in through the brick wall at the front of the bungalow. I can't find what I want, and have tried everywhere.

Ros has been feeding the neighbours with runners and tiny tomato's. We seem to be over run by them.

I tend not to post on FB I sometimes "I LIKE"somethings and re-post i,e forward .As Liz says all our threads can be read by anyone. That's how I found you lot , and I am glad I did . Where would I be without you. !!!

Rump steak, peppered sauce, salad and chips for tonight. Ros has just picked loads of smashing tomato's. I could smell them as soon as she walked through the door.

We had a light shower an hour ago. All it's done is make everywhere so muggy. Doors and windows open, fan on and I am still hot.

Wish I was hot :-( Still got the rain in the air stuff. I am just about to go and corn the chickens too.

Another tireing day Jane. Just relax now and have a nice g and t or a wine.

Done some ironing this after noon before our cuppa and scone and there's chicken and mushroom casserole for tonight with rice for oh and a jacket pot for me. O and runners or short beans of course.

Gave Di some eggs when she came this morning and runners aI have so many and she said hers had come to nothing also her short beans in pots did'nt flower she reckons. Also gave her the pair of those plastic sandles I bought for her and she has just texted me to say they are lovely and she has them on.

Evening all,

Very muggy here today we did get a few spots of rain this afternoon but not enough to wet the ground really , i did hear thunder in the night.

Well off we went to the doctors first thing , bit late going in but when the nurse pulled the dressing off ...... no staples !! Colins cut had been glued !! It is a nice clean wound so no need for another dressing .

Didn't Ros do well getting those bargains Frank .
Still early days with your knee Frank ,BIL'S knee is still swollen and he had his op months ago.

Just took Nicko some egg and chips and a cold bottle of squash ,he's now back sleeping this side of the church again .

Sister came this morning with some nice runner beans so we will have them tomorrow and Colins brother came with two cucumbers.

Well done to your grandaughter Liz she did very well ,you've every right to be proud of her.

So Colin did'nt have any staples!! thats great news he is healing well.

That must have been a shock Mandy for OH to discover he didn't actually have any staples !!!! I wonder why he had an appointment to take them out :-S At least it is all looking good :-D

I am wanting to go to bed now but Thomas is no-where to be seen at the moment.I won't go until I get him in.I've been up and down the garden whistling and calling for ages.He just better come back soon otherwise he will not be in my good books :-| I am tired!

On the discharge letter it said to make an appointment to have the staples out and also one of the nurses in the hospital said to Colin you need to have the staples out .
He had to have the dressing off from the drain and the dressing from where he had the epideral .
I meant to say the dog training lady rang tonight ,she is coming here to the house for a one to one on tuesday evening , she also does one to one in her enclosed field as well as the six weeks beginner course .

I hope Thomas is in now .

I hope you found him Jane. I know I would'nt be able to go to bed without getting him in.

I am getting worried about Ann now. Its not like her not to post....????? Her last one was the 22nd.
