I have just rung Lidl. They rang the branch shop as I thought I may have returned the trolly with it still in there. I DID and it was handed in now how good is that?? They have given me a ref number to collect it from the shop the next time I go in.

here
i am, I am trying not to touch anything but the letter keys.

I have managed to get around without a stick today, and after Ros cooking a wonderful S & K PIE, I managed to wash up. Knee giving me a bit of JIP at the moment, I am due some tablets so that should ease it.

What are you like Jane, leaving your shopping in the trolly.??

I haven't ready any posts other than on the current page. But will try tomorrow.

No, I didn't get the Calamine in the end. I might still get some though. We decided to call at the chemist again for them to have a look at the stings as they were getting worse and got side tracked as she said I should see the doctor. I managed to get an appointment this afternoon and the upshot is I now have a week's antibiotics, 4 a day, at double what it says is normal strength and I also have to double my dose of antihistamine tablets. I'm taking a cold hot water bottle to bed tonight to hold against them. The itching drives me mad!

Yes, OH changed from his suit and tie as soon as he got home! He said he enjoyed his interview and is hopeful he will be selected again. Have you heard from Janice Jane? Were they able to tell her anything or does she have to wait for the results.

Mel, you have had a busy day going here and there! I hope you find your OH's pressie you got. Have you checked everywhere in the car? Did they manage ok with the dog show in the car park? I wondered if the troublemaker lady dared turn up.

Just lost another post.

Here we go again. Good morning all, Evening Kim,

Had a good night last night. Got out at 2.00 am and again at 5.30 (all this water I am drinking) Took my pain killers at 5.30.

Have had breakfast and taken my gout tablets, and normal tablets.Have taken the dressing off my knee, It's nice and clean and dry. Will give it a wash while in the shower this morning.

Ros is going to take me for an ESTIMATE for my hair cut. It's months since I had it cut. Beginning to look like DONALD TRUMP ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Fair sort of morning here, bit overcast, but not sure of the forecast.

Harvey and Family will set off from France today, getting back home sometime tomorrow. They will then make arrangements to collect the cat.

Trust you are all well. Love and best wishes and thanks for all your concern. xxxx

Morning all and Frank,

If thats you behind all that hair?

Drizzley rain here this morning, really miserable. Its H W day today being a Wednesday thats the day Di used to come to do the housework. Oh is cross as he was scarifying the west lawn yesterday and he can't do it in the rain. We have a huge bit right across the middle where he has done it and the two sides where he has'nt it looks a dreadful mess.

So whats everyone else up to today. I have ironing and hoovering, dusting and polishing if I get round to it.

Annx Report 31 Aug 2016 13:31

Afternoon All,

Nice to see you made it on here Frank! I bet you will feel cooler once your hair has had a good 'mowing'. I hope the gout is improving, the tablets worked quite quickly when I had it. Good that your knee has dried up and is healing nicely too.

It's just overcast but warm here Mel. What a nuisance your OH didn't manage to finish the scarifying and now it is raining so he can't do it. :-S I know just what you mean as I half pruned a big shrub the other day and can't finish it yet and it looks a right mess. My sting marks are all bigger and redder today and the thought of twigs etc tickling them and brushing against them, it's the last thing I want just now. All of the sting marks are bigger still this morning and the itching drove me mad in the night. I just hope after today's antibiotics I will start to see a change. I can't eat for an hour before a dose or for 2 hours after, so with 4 doses in a day, there's not much time when I can eat, which will at least be good for the waistline! :-) lol. I got some calamine lotion this morning, but forgot to get cotton wool to dab it on. We are going to see the new Primark down the road this afternoon so I'll get some from Boots nearby.

Sun's out here now and the buiders are working away doing things with the roof of the house being built.

Afternoon all,

Lovely day here little bit of cloud but mostly blue sky.

Well the dog trainer came last night and i now have much more of an idea how to deal with Max , she really is very good , she soon got him walking to heel and told me i need a halti lead to get much more control over him , he didn't like the halti at first but she took him round and round the garden and eventually he was fine with it , i walked him this morning and he wasn't to bad ,i was letting him lead me now i lead him, i also have to go through the door first , i'm going to take him to her dog training
classes ,shes in the middle of classes now so it will be October before we can go .

I'm off this afternoon to help DIL put the childrens name tags in all there new school clothes.

Glad you had a good nights sleep last night Frank ,the tablets must be helping the gout if you managed to sleep.

Sounds as if this dentist is taking more time over your teeth than the last one did Mel.
How nice of someone to hand in the thing you left in the trolley ,there are some good people about .

Ann those stings must be awful 19 is a lot ,i hope the antibiotics soon help, didn't the doctor say a cream you could rub on ?

Afternoon all,

"SHAWN THE SHEEP REPORTING" I had to go back twice this morning, as the hairdressers was full of "BOYS! getting their haircuts before going back to school on Monday. My little Asian Hairdressers said she hadn't seen my hair so long.

Ros wouldn't let me take her for lunch as she has food in the fridge. So we went to Lidl to get her grapefruits (47 p each) against Tesco (75 p) She buys a weeks worth at one go. She also bought some nice rolls for lunch.

I bumped into Jonathan our old neighbour. He is calling in to take my computer away, to see if he can sort it out.

It's" Stitchery Do" tomorrow, so I will have to get by the best I can from 9.30 till 3.00. I might even surprise her and try to prepare/ cook a nice meal for her for the evening.

Well I am pleased to say I only have one more treatment (EIGHT TABLETS) for my gout tomorrow morning. Then I need to make an appointment at the Doctors. The knee is looking good, and I am sitting here with my ICE BAG on it.

Glad Max was a good boy last night Mandy. Keep going, he will come to be a good boy soon.

Bright sunny afternoon here, and warm. Ros is sorting the conservatory out. Then she will start to pack all the glass wear into box's and stack them out there. We have the decorator starting at the tail end of Sept. So she will be very busy. I won't be aloud to touch ;-) ;-) ;-)

Rack of ribs, salad and new pots for dinner tonight. I forgot to mention I washed up last night. !!!

Jane Report 31 Aug 2016 17:44

Afternoon All
You sound much more chipper today Frank :-D. :-D..Hope Jonathon can get your pooter trouble sorted for you.

Mandy ,dogs hate those Halties .I often see them rubbing their faces on the ground and trying to get a paw around their noses to get the thing off lol But they are brilliant in stopping pulling on the lead. It sounds like you have had some really good advice from the lady. Shame you have to wait until October though for classes. But I suppose in the meantime you can put into practice all the tips you have been given.

Mel what apity you have had a drizzly day.We have had cloud this morning and then sun all afternoon. Fan on again.

Tomorrow Mark,Kate and baby Freya will be calling in.(Rachel's Brother).I think it will be around lunch time so I will have to go out first thing and get some bits and pieces.

My Sisters scan results on her Kidneys have come back as saying Borderline. No isea what that means. But she will have to wait until the morning fr her GP to ring her as he is not there today.I just want them to find out what the problem is as it is getting really worrying now :-(

I have just given the lounge carpet the hoovering of its life as I expect Freya will be at the crawling stage(9 months). The amount of cat hair that I sucked up !!!!! :-S :-S

Ann those stings must be driving you barmy :-( I would have thought doubling up on those antihistamines might have made a difference . Hopefully you now have the cotton wool and are covered in Calamine :-D.I don't think it smells like it used to.Remember a few years ago I went and bought a bottle and was very disappointed that it didn't smell the same as when I was a child.

I bought an electric cool box for the car today for when we go away.Thinking if we buy anything from Farmers Markets etc then everything will be fresh and cool after a 5hr or so drive home from Pembrokeshire. We can plug it in the boot of the car :-)

Annx Report 31 Aug 2016 18:17

That's good the trainer is helping you sort Max out Mandy. I have read that you should always make your dog be behind you when you go out too and not be ahead of you on a walk. Also to be away from the door behind you when you answer a knock. It's all psychological with dogs and these small things make a difference in him seeing his place in the heirarchy. They say you shouldn't feed a dog till you have eaten yourself as it gives the wrong message. The training classes will get you on the right track with him and be an opportunity to meet others doing the same. Taking the time with him now will mean you will hopefully have a fantastic and happy dog in the future that's very little trouble. :-)

Speaking of dogs, did anyone see that adorable ginger and white, tiny Pomeranian on the Dog Rescuer prog. She'd been left tied to some railings during the night but ended up being reunited with her family who'd lost her 5 months before.

No the doctor didn't suggest any cream Mandy. I got some cotton wool this afternoon, so the bedside table is overflowing with tablets, lotions and now cotton wool! lol

The new Primark is very swish and had some nice things. I thought everything would be for skinny young girls, but found a nice thin grey top with embroidered flowers on the shoulders in my size. They have it in black too so I may go back and get one of those......only £6! Lots of joggers and what I call 'comfy round the house' trousers, some only £4.50. You can't go wrong really at those prices.

Jane

Jane Report 31 Aug 2016 18:43

I might have to have a trip to our Primark Ann.It is in Corby.I too thought everything was for smaller sized people. It is about time all clothes shops catered for the plus size :-D.Long gone are the days when I was a size 12 :-S Even my blooming feet have gotr bigger :-S :-S... Chris says that is normal :-D

I didn't see the little dog Ann.But how nice that is has been reunited with its owners <3

The sun came out a bit later and oh went and did the lawn came in and had lunch and went back out again. He told me to be careful and keep an eye on him as he fell asleep on the mower yesterday when I was out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said if I see him drive the mower over the low wall go and rescue him. I hope he was only joking.

Scrubbed out two chicken drinkers and the bathroom. Where does all the dirt come frorm when there are only two of us in here???? :-S I know we both do diirty things in the garden and I have to go round to the chickens and bantams but I still don't think it should get as dirty as it does.

Our west lawn looks like it needs a haircut now as he has'nt picked all the grass up yet. Says he gets bored as he has to go so slowley with the scarifyer.

I have a mini lamb joint for us tonight which I better stick in the oven. Will do roasted veg with runners as I seem to have a glut at the moment.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 31 Aug 2016 18:49

Ann I am sure antihistamin cream would be better than calamine lotion for your stings.
