Morning Mel, hope everything goes okay with your car today <3
Sandra has just helped me move my pot plants off the garage base, the fella is coming around 11am tomorrow so I'm trying to break up the concrete in between the flags so I can take them up, he said he would cut a few to size for me then I can join the two patio areas myself. I'm just having a COT, breaking up this concrete isn't as easy as I first thought and looks like it's going to take a while to do, so I'll be having quite a few breaks in between work.

I haven't got up to speed with everything that's been happening on here. How did Frank's op go......okay I hope? What's happening with Colin? Hope he is okay too <3........so much to catch up on :-S :-S

Colin is doing well with his hip op and Frank is coming along but still having pain whilst doing his exercises. He also has gout!! but has been given something for that.

Its that horrid fine steady rain here and when I went round to the chickens I got soaked. 7 eggs today. Thin I shall make a couple of quiche today as I did'nt get them done the other day. One to eat and one for the freezer hopefully if oh dos'nt et it all before I get it in there. He loves cold quiche.

Wonder what the weathers like for Jane's visitors today? Dry I hope so they can sit out.

Quite cloudy here today ,we had a few spits of rain first thing but it didn't amount to much.

Mel thank you for the parcel that came for Max this morning your very naughty spending your money on him but he really loves the ring and ball ,he's played with them all the morning .

Nice to see you back with us Gill ,sounds as if you've had a busy time in the garden getting the garage down and sorting out , it was good there was no gas leak you must have been worried when you smelt whst you thought was gas !!
Colin has had his hip op and is doing nicely ,he's taking it slowly doing shorts walks on his crutches he's not allowed to put his full body weight on the leg .

I hope it stays dry for you Jane so you can sit out in the garden , your sure it's today they come !! LOL

Glad the stings are easing Ann ,the antibiotics must be helping now and the calamine too.

O Mandy he likes them and is'nt he getting a big boy.

I bought him those when he was tiny but only just had a chance to get to a post office in Holsworthy. I kept forgetting to take it with me before.

Just picked my car up and its all done and I am £189.06 lighter.

Hi you lovely people, No news from this end, to speak of. I spoke with the doctor this morning regarding the GOUT. He said to keep an eye on it, and if it starts up again to let him know. He will hear me shout in the surgery. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Bored out of my brain here, sitting and reading and watching T.V. in between doing a bit of painful exercising. I am still taking my pain killers every four hours during the day, and one dose during the night. Having that gout has put me back quite a bit, not being able to stand on my right leg.

The cat goes home today. !! Harvey is calling to pick her up when he finishes work. I won't be SORRY to see her go, she is such an unsociable cat. Lays under the table all day long, never comes for a fuss. :-| :-|

Glad Colin is going on alright Mandy. I will be glad when I can get out for a little walk, just to get away from the four walls. Have they given him a date when he will be mobile again ??

Ros has been out all day at LINUS" the baby quilt making, a good cause so I shouldn't complain.

I see Jane has had visitors today, who are they Jane ?? Not the weather for sitting outside.

It's been raining here for the past hour, and looks like it could be a wet evening/night.

Sorry to hear about the gout Frank, hope it clears soon and you are able to be mobile soon too, it can't be much fun being stuck in the bungalow all the time.

Pleased to hear Colin is on the mend Mandy, it sounds like he's doing well. I forgot to mention yesterday, the Cana Lily has got a flower, it's very big and a lovely red colour.

I've just finished breaking up the 3foot by 2foot flag stones I wanted out, it's taken me most of the day and I'm shattered now, so I'm off for a nice relaxing bath before I sort out dinner.

Evening All

Well we had a lovely few hours with our visitors. Little Freya is a poppet :-D..10 months old today.She was so good and there wasn't one tear or even a grizzle.

Frank this was Rachel's Brother ,wife and baby. They live in Washington DC.So I have seen both Rachel and Mark and the next generation :-D.Freya just started to crawl yesterday :-)..We had a good check around before they left to make sure nothing was left behind,and then once they had driven off I found Freya's Plastic Bib in the kitchen.At least that is all it was.
So we had a nice lunch and lots of chat and catching up on things.
I have now just got back from having my Eyebrows tidied.That was at 6.30 and I almost forgot I had the appointment and just got there in the nick of time.

Who is a lucky boy then MAX :-D..Toys from Aunty Mel :-D :-D.

Oh Gill,more back breaking work for you today witht he paving stones !!!!. Hopefully that nice hot bath will ease any aches and pains.

Frank I thought Fluffy was a sociable puss.So she has been ignoring you and not wantng any fuss.Thats a shame. Maybe she just feels a bit out of sorts and wants to get home now.
I don't think Thomas is quite himself at all today. His fur is looking all kind of spiky and he has not really been around at all.He was in the summerhouse earlier but didn't seem at all interested in me when I went out to se him. Not a tummy or chin rub :-S
Maybe he has eaten a bad mouse or something.He didn't even drink his cat milk which he normally laps up.So I hope he is ok.I'll go and call and whistle for him shortly.

No rain here today .It has just been cloudy all day.We didn't sit out as it was easier to just put Freya on the floor in the lounge with her toys while we had our lunch.

I need to finish getting dinner ready.

Took me asll afternoon to make two quiches and we had one for dinner tonight with new pots and baked beans.

So you have done it at last Gill, smashed up those flag stones. Bet your glad thats over and done with. A nice bath should sort out your aching muscles.

Frank you need to ask Ros to take you out for a little ride in the car. It can be so miserable looking at the four walls.

Had 7 eggs again today. I usually get 6 and 7 is a bonus.

It was raining this mroning then it dried up and Inoticed the patio slabs were drying so the washing went out and it dried lovely. Just right for ironing.

Did lots of iron ing this morning so I am very pleased with myself today.

Gill the back brakes had gone on the car and I had a corroded caliper. Its all the cow muck I have to drive through up the road to the shop.

So it was the back breaks then Mel, it's not something you want to go is it? At least it's all fixed now, so that's good. You're doing well with your eggs, I love quiche too.

It sounds like you had a lovely time yesterday with your visitors Jane. Freya sounds such a good little girl, bless her. Hope Thomas is feeling a little better today.

Well today's the day the garage base is being removed, I only hope he turns up to do the job. We should of had someone doing it a week ago but they didn't turn up and when I tried one of the numbers I was given it didn't exist and the other number just went to voice mail, I left a message but no one got back to me. So hopefully this time round I'll be more lucky.

I've got such a sore neck today after breaking up those really big flag stones and I may have to lift another 5 today, although they're not as big. I asked the fella who is taking the base away if he could cut me some flags to size then I can join the two patio's together, OH has just gone out to get me the sand I'll need and to also order some more flags so I can finish off another area ready for the new shed we need, so plenty of more back breaking work ahead of me.

I hope I can make our garden look more presentable before Michelle arrives at the beginning of October, I feel like I'm running out of time :-( It doesn't help when OH is in work almost every day. Bless him he said he would help me as much as he can even doing some of the patio before he goes to work as some of his shift are afternoon ones.

It's forecast to rain today, not sure if that's a good thing or not. On the one hand with the job being a very dusty one having the rain will be good to keep the dust down, but with me having to lift up a few more flags, it won't be so good for me...good job I have a waterproof jacket I can wear. OH got it for me along with a pair of waterproof trousers but they are bright orange. At least he won't lose me in the dark LOL.

Well, I'd better go and get dressed, the fella said he'd be here at 11am but just in case he turns up early I'd better look presentable ;-)

Had a terrible night. The pain in the knee was unbearable. I took extra pain killers during the night and again this morning. The trouble with that is that you can't go to the toilet. So I will take something to help that. !!!!

Ros has gone shopping with Martine, which has given me time to get showered. I will shave when I finish on here.

More HW for me today as I can't get outside but if it eases off I shall clean the chickens out if its not too windy. I need to hoover around the whole bungalow as it has'nt been done this week with all the going out to the dentist, for food and chicken food and the car for its brakes to be done.

Oh dear Frank another bad night ,did you do to much yesterday ? Perhaps you were on your feet to long .
Colin hasn't been given a date as such for when he will be mobile ,he has to be on the
crutches for ten to twelve weeks ,back to see the surgeon at the beginning of Oct to see how things are going ,he's been doing very short walks and comes out in the car when i go shopping but he stays in the car while i shop i don't think he could walk round the store with me.

Sounds as if you had a good time with your visitors yesterday Jane ,little Freya sounds a dear little girl i expect next time you see her she will be walking .
Hope Thomas is better today ,perhaps his nose has been put out of joint with all the visitors.

A bit more back braking work for you today then Gill ,i hope the chap turns up so you can get going before the rain comes .

The day started quite well, but it's now raining, but not cold! The garden can do with it so musn't grumble!
How is your sister Jane? or are you still uncertain?
Washing is on the clotheshorse under the overhang, so hopefully it will dry as there is quite a breeze!
Nothing doing here today, Cas has had a good run so she's fast asleep for the minute!! OH is in his workshop repairing the plunger on the loo - it's a good job he can do all these jobs, waiting for a plumber would be an expensive nightmare!

The fella turned up early Mandy, so he's busy breaking up the garage base in the pouring rain.....bless him. He's just told me that the concrete is a lot thicker than he first thought at one end and he's only hired the breaker for a day, so he's going to break everything up today and come back with his digger to remove all the broken bits another day, not sure what day yet. So long as it's all broken up then I'll be happy. OH has ordered the sand and flag stones for me to finish off another patio at the back of the garden so at least I can get on with that on Monday, the weather is suppose to be nice then and also on Tuesday so hopefully I'll have that done then we can order the shed and put that up while I'm waiting for the fella to finish off the garage base. Once he's finished then I can go back and finish off that patio, then get on with the screening in that area too. I really hope I have the time to finish everything before Michelle's visit. The fella said he had about a ton of sand I could have which will come in handy and also some shingles, someone gave it to him and he can't use it and just wants to get rid, I never say no to a freebie ;-) :-D

Afternoon Liz, didn't see you there. Yes I will be careful, OH is helping me when he's not in work and if it gets to much for me I'll stop and have a rest. OH has just come in after getting the part he needs to fix the car, it broke down the other day and the AA had temporarily fixed it. He said he's going to wait and see if the rain eases off a bit before he puts the new part on as it's pouring down, we don't need the car today so there no rush, he just needed to buy the part as the place is shut on a Sunday.

Going to make OH and I a cuppa now and watch the F1 qualifying

Well the rain is definitely here :-S and looks like it might be set for the day.Luckily I did manage to get some shirts dry on the line earlier.

Gill it must look like a bit like a building site now in your garden. As we all know you do throw yourself into it ,but please be careful.

Mel I expect all that cow muck splashes up in and around the wheels and workings.Dity Cows lol.But living where you do there will be no escaping it.At least you know your brakes are safe now.

Poor you Frank.It must be getting you down with these bad nights and all that pain still. Is it about 3 weeks now?

Mandy I'm not sure if this rain is heading your way or not.It is pretty miserable now I can tell you.

Our next door neighbour just rang the doorbell.He was stood there in his flip flops .shorts and T.He is making Blackberry wine and wanted to know if we had any empty wine bottles :-D...I think he must know us well LOL He invited us t oa BBQ on the 10th ,but that is when we are away . It would have been nice as we don't know him very well.He is Gina's new partner and seems a really nice chap. He said they are going to Wales the week after us. But their holiday sounds a bit more active than what we will be doing.They are climbing Mount Snowden,,White Water Rafting and then Golf at St Davids.......We will probably walk a bit of the Coastal Path :-D..Mind you they are a fair bit younger and much fitter than us two old things.I am wearing my new Trainer/Boots at the moment as I don't want any heel blisters .

Liz ,the latest with Janice is that everything looked clear on the scans other than a few small stones in her left Kidney(but that is not causing any problem. She now has 3 Urine samples to do to see if she might have some deep rooted infection.(I can't really see that myself) but if it is that then a good dose of Antibiotics should do the trick.I am still worried it might be something bad.But I think that is a normal thing especially after this time and no answers.

I hope OH manages to fit the new part on the car Gill. Is it a major thing?I think you did say that he was a Mechanic before?

I had better get on.I have a load to go in the tumble dryer.

Raining here now , a nice steady rain that will give the garden a nice soaking ,so no watering duty tonight .

Gill the chap will soon clear the concrete with a digger once its all broken up , you'll be able to get on then.
