Mandy they are hilarious aren't they :-D :-D....I wish there was more.I think those videos are 2 years old and I haven't seen any more recent ones. That one lady should be on the telly :-D..Yes the loo brush one was funny. You think it is all a real tale until the punch line at the end. They have to be in their 80's.

I have just sliced the beef into little strips and chopped the Mushrooms and Potatoes for this Goulash thing. So that is all ready to go. Then I cleaned the floor in the en suite .My Gawd!!!!! the hair on the floor :-S :-S..It is all Chris's body hair.It must all come off when he dries himself after a shower.I could have made a rug :-S All done now.I will just hoover in there before we go .

I reckon 4 big ones for us and the same again for James and Jess for Scotland.Hope I have enough lol. Then I have to make sure there are plenty for Hannah .We might be down to Beach Towels !!!

I had to laugh earlier when I spoke to Janice..She said Michel had come round with Williams School Uniform and all the name tapes ..Guess who is doing them!
I think there will be one very excited little boy tonight. There won't be any tears from him in the morning. He is doing Mornings for the first week and Janice will pick him up from the school about 1.30.I expect he will be shattered.

A childhood memory !!!!!!!!!!!... I had to take my Sister in to school on her first day. The Head master said " Hello Janice, are you happy to be starting school" Her answer was NO ,MUMMY AND DADDY MADE ME COME HERE.I WANT TO GO HOME NOW. Oh the embarrassment :-S :-S....She always showed me up :-). I was only about 9 then.

Good afternoon all

I have managed to read some of the posts must get back in the habit of coming back on more often again.

I did roast loin of pork today which went down well, only Becky and Paul today as Abbie has Aiden staying over for a few days. They called into see me yesterday and Abbie was full of moans about her stepfather, he had called her an F**** C*** and I don't mean cow. The worse thing was that Becky had a friend staying for a sleep over. Her mother did at least say something this time, they have now been married for a year, we gave it 3 years at the time. He is a truly awful man.

Sorry to hear your sad news Mel, will you be attending the funeral? Sorry if you have already said, I also have a smile when seeing the horse advert another one is the two blokes in the car park strutting their stuff in competition

Ann you are so clever with your art work and photography, I am pleased you entered the painting into the competition you did so well winning all those prizes and the cup.

Frank I also didn't realise that it has been 5 weeks since you had your knee operation, no wonder you are getting fed up with having to stay indoors.

When are you off on your holiday Jane and have you said where you are going?

Gill it sounds as though you are keeping busy again I wish I had your energy.

Watched Strictly yesterday I didn't realise how tiny Judge Rinder was, apparently he wasn't a judge but a criminal barrister . I think his Christian name is Robert.

Paul has his moving in date for 15th September, I have bought him a new set of induction saucepans as a flat warming present, he has ordered them from John Lewis because he works for Waitrose he gets a 25% discount which is well worth having.

Hi Anne
OMG this Step Father is no person to have around the girls if this is what he is like.I think you said Becky was scared of him coming into her bedroom sometime ago.
Is the Mother treated the same way? Maybe she is too scared of him to do or say anything.
He would be out on his ear if he was in my house treating my children that way. He sounds a nasty bit of work :-S :-S...
That is the language Rachel used here 4 years ago to her husband in front of her little boy.I made her leave ! You must be very worried for your Granddaughters.

We are off next Thursday Anne.To Pembrokeshire (FISHGUARD). The cottage is called Carreg Yr Eos .If you google it you will find it :-)

It is turning out to be quite a pleasant evening here :-D.. The Mice must be out and about as Thomas has has 2 in the last hour or so :-S

Oh Anne how awful for the poor girl when she has a friend staying over to be talked to like that she must have been so embarrassed.
So not to long before Paul can move in ,that was a good saving on the pans , have you still got your lodger staying with you?

Oh Jane those two old ladies :-D did you hear the story of the Christmas Cake with the ball bearing :-D

Jane

Jane Report 4 Sep 2016 18:35

Yep Mandy That was a good one too LOLOL. It's the way she tells them :-D :-D

Anne

Anne Report 4 Sep 2016 19:35

Jane have just googled your cottage it looks so pretty and well kept with those lovely views to look out on, fingers crossed you have good weather and you have a really relaxing time

It's Abbie who has the most trouble with the stepfather but it was Becky who had a school friend staying over. Apparently he's at his worse after a few drinks, several times he has walked out but with no where else to go he always comes home in the early hours. He keeps well out of Paul's way when he drops the girls off. None of our family has ever used that sort of language and I was so shocked when Abbie told me.

Just been watching the two Devon sisters, so funny they deserve to be on T.V
They remind me a little of Jethro.

David our lodger is going out to Chile at the beginning of December he already has his one way ticket and changed his bank to Santander who have braches over there. After me he is Shadow's favourite person.

Evening All,

Yes those clips were brilliant Jane!! :-D It is the way she tells them isn't it!! It sounds like William can't wait to get to school! Not long till you go away now. When we stayed further up the welsh coast years ago at Solva, we were minutes from the coast path and it was nice flat walking. How long will you be away for?

Thank you all for your encouragement.........I put the cup on the shelf on the wall at the bottom of the bed so it was the first thing I saw when I woke up this morning!!! lol. Yes Mel, OH was rubbing his hands together with delight when I told him yesterday. He has achieved so many much bigger things himself, but is always thrilled with anything I do which is nice. It's only about 6 inches tall so won't need too much polishing!! To think, if our Maureen hadn't encouraged me I might never have got into painting at all.

Oh Anne, poor Abbie having to put up with that and in front of her friend too! He would be gone if he used language like that to me let alone in front of children. I expect most men will use words like that among themselves and let out the occasional expletive if someone cuts them up when driving, but most don't when they are around women or children. How does he expect to be respected or liked behaving like that. It's good Paul is all set to move into his flat and is getting a good deal on his saucepans.

Frank, I was very moved when I watched the film War Horse at the cinema. It makes you think doesn't it and really get a feel for how it was. The horses were much needed wonderful support and companions for those young men. What a shame you've had these setbacks since your operation on your knee. I can hardly believe it is 5 weeks since your operation. All you can do is persevere and do what you can for now and be careful. I hope you managed to get out for a few hours. <3 :-)

Gill I agree with Anne and just don't know how you manage to keep going at the pace you do with all this work, indoors and out. It would take me much longer!

Is Max still enjoying his new toys from Auntie Mel Mandy?

Poldark and Victoria to enjoy tonight.

Gillx Report 4 Sep 2016 20:19

What a way to talk to Becky and in front of her friend too the poor girl, he sounds a really nasty man and makes you wonder why he's still around, if it was me I'd of got rid of him by now. How nice of you Anne to buy the pans for Paul, I bet he's really excited, is it his first place on his own?

Almost time for your get away Jane, lets hope the weather is nice for you. How long are you going away for? Is Thomas going into a cattery?

We've had some bad news today, apparently the base of the garage goes down for miles, well not that far, but you can imagine it's very deep, so we've decided to just grass that area then all we need to do tomorrow is take away a few inches more so we can put some soil down for the turf. The job will be a lot quicker than planting the area so will be finished sooner. I didn't really have any definite plans for that area so it doesn't matter either way to me. I am thinking of putting a few flag stones along the line of the fence that way I can put some pot plants on there to brighten it up a bit and stop it looking to bare. The fella said he would move one more load for us for free tomorrow so that was nice of him and he cut the flags I needed to do the bit of patio area I have around the corner of the bungalow which we're hoping to do tomorrow if we get the time. I gave him a bit extra cash for that as it wasn't part of the original job. My garden looks a bit like a building site at the moment so I hope I can make it look more presentable before Michelle and her boyfriend arrive in a few weeks. I'll try my best anyway.

Anne

Anne Report 4 Sep 2016 20:37

Gill this will be Paul's 3rd property purchase the other two were three bedroom houses because he expected Sue and the girls to live with him. The first was 17 years ago, this time it's a modern 2 bedroom flat with 2 bathrooms just off of the town centre and not too far from where he works at Waitrose head office. The main attraction is no garden to worry about as he only has a balcony and communal gardens to look out on

I'm sure your garden will be fine by the time Michelle arrives but she is coming to see you not the garden so don't go overdoing it and not be able to enjoy her visit, is Sandra getting exited about seeing her again?

Going to watch Poldark and record Victoria, Richard has gone to watch ice hockey with Paul as the season is just starting again and he has been watching Victoria but not too bothered about Poldark

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 4 Sep 2016 22:49

It will be much quicker to put turf down Gill. I know these concrete garages need firm foundation as they are so heavy so thats why it is so deep but I think grass is going to be so much nicer and you can put a table and chairs on which ever piece you wish.

I watched Victoria and now I am going in the shower before I see Poldark.

See you all in the morning.

Morning all, evening Kim,

Sounds to me like someone needs his mouth washed out with "SOAP AND WATER". As bad tempered as I am, I have never, and would never, use language like that in front of anyone, let alone a child. !!!

Didn't go out yesterday. Ros went to a village close by that had an open day. The church was an art gallery and the church cemetery was covered in marquees with various arts and craft. She got home about 4.00 pm after having a nice wonder around. She never bought anything ;-) ;-) ;-) I decided I couldn't be bothered to get changed to go to the pub, so stayed in my armchair.

While out yesterday Carolyn took Ros to see a friend who has just has a new hip. Her husband is a right Bas###d, and treats her terrible. He got her toast for breakfast yesterday, and later her grandson called. Like most boys he was hungry, and asked if he could get himself a sandwich.when he opened the bread it was full of MOULD. When the woman mentioned it to her husband, he said it "WON'T HURT YOU" and passed it off !!!!

So everybody has been busy with your lives. I am looking forward to getting out from these four walls. I did get the washing in yesterday, as it looked like rain. Ros was most surprised. !!

Another bad nights rest. Ros got up and slept on the Sofa in the lounge. She said she slept well, and just couldn't bare me fidgeting about any longer. I got up about four and she was dead to the world on the sofa, so I left her there. She was up and about when I got up at NINE.

We watched "Victoria" and then "Poldark." I must admit, I didn't see it all, I needed my bed.

Well my day has been like the weather. DULL AND MISERABLE :-( :-( :-( I am demoted to my walking sticks. I have been trying to do things today.

Ros had to take a Hedge trimmer back this morning, it was a battery operated one, and FAR to heavy for her to handle. So I decided to make a cottage pie, with cabbage and carrots. First I didn't cook enough Potato.Second the flavour didn't taste right. Third I left the kitchen in a right old mess. Ros has told me, that until I am able to stand for a longer time, I have to stay out of the Kitchen.!!! SO THAT'S ME TOLD ;-) ;-)

We have just found a load of flying ants in the conservatory. Ros has sprayed them with fly killer. I think I have a pot of ant powder in the garage, so I will go and look

Where are you all today ???

Evening All

Ann we will be back on the 17th.9 nights away. I hope I can find some nice flat bits to walk on LOL .If not I will have to let Chris carry on on his own.At least if that does happen I can take the car and then meet up with him later.

Paul is going to be very pleased with his presents of pans Anne.25% discount too is a really good bit of money off. So not long now before he moves in. Is your pic of his block of flats?

Messy Frank in the kitchen lol..At least you are trying your best Frank :-D.It can't be easy with not being able to stand well and for long.

I don't know where today has gone.I was at the Bodyshop repair place at 8 this morning.Hopefully the car will be ready on Wednesday morning.
Tomorrow we are going to have lunch at Barton Hall with Fitz.Just a quick lunch as Chris wants to do the lawn in the afternoon and I will have my cleaning head on .I have done a fair bit today.

Sausages tonight with Roasted Peppers,Courgettes,Mushrooms,Baby Leeks and Potato.I just didn't have any Red Onions so had to bung some Garlic in.

Chris has not been himself at all today.I hope he isn't going down with something now :-S....It might be because I was awake from 3am and tossing and turning, reading my Kindle and getting up for the loo :-S..That is 2 nights in a row now .My brain was on the go and the weirdest dreams.I almost got up at 4 and thought about doing some ironing !!!.I would move into the spare bed tonight ,but I have just changed all the bedding ready for Hannah.
Just seen the weather and it looks like we are going to b back up to 27 degs again !!!

Good evening everyone

It's been very overcast here it rained a lot in the night which was good for the garden and saved me a job. I changed the beds today and took Amy for a walk but apart from getting the evening meal which was chicken kievs and veg. I haven't done a lot.

Jane the photo on this page is the arts centre where I worked until I retired, there is also a new theatre built on the side in the 1980's, Princess Anne came to open it and I was one of the staff members that were introduced to her, she is very petite. I remember she drove herself with just one lady in waiting in the car, on the back seat they had shopping bags from Debenhams.

Paul's flat is a fairly new build the complex is called Kelvin Gate and it is built on the old Met office site which is only a few minutes away from where he and Richard were born, the house is no longer there because of Bracknell being modernised at the time.

I hope Chris feels better tomorrow so he is fit for your holiday and you both have a better nights sleep tonight.I hope you enjoy your meal with Fitz does his wife ever join you?

Frank it must be so frustrating for you as you always so busy before doing most of the cooking but it sounds as though things are slowly improving for you

Evening All,

It looks a nice building to have worked in Anne. Three of the homes I lived in as a child have been demolished, 2 to build new developments and a bungalow that was replaced with a new house.

Frank at least you know you tried with the cooking and now know you aren't quite ready for that yet. :-) It's a shame you can't get a good night's sleep though.

Jane I bet your case is open and things going both in and out if you are like me! It won't be long till you go now and it does say it will be getting hotter this week. I hope Chris isn't going down with anything. Is Thomas going to the cattery while you are away?
