If I don't go shopping I don't get away from these three walls and a high hedge. I know I call it donkey day but it was more so when I had to do mums shopping as well.

We don't go out much so it is nice to get out of the house on my own for a while. I can mosey about at my own pace without worrying if oh is ok and not getting fed up.

After many attempts I have ordered more pain killers. The receptionist said they aren't on your repeats WHY. I had to go through everything to get her to order me some. These are not the first I have had. !!

Mel I can well understand that it's nice to get away from home for a while. I am beginning to go "STIR CRAZY" being here all the time.

Jan, is coming up to her daughters Friday, and the four of us plus Alexander are meeting up for lunch on Sunday. She is coming back over here Monday (Ros's Birthday) to take her out for lunch. She also asked if we would like to go back to Devon with her for a few days. The problem is I have the Phiso on Thursday and a meeting with the Surgeon. I did suggest that Ros might like to go down with her, but I wouldn't be able to tackle the stairs. I will see what Ros says when she gets in. Provided I have everything I need, I am sure I could manage on my own for a few days. I can get Carolyn or John to take me to my appointments.

Well I didn't get to sit outside, I have finished my book, so will now go back to my Kindle.

Nice fillet steak and all the trimmings tonight. It was reduced from £7.86 to £6.00 So Ros thought she would treat us. Can't remember the last time I had Fillet Steak.

Time I had a COT.

It has been really hot here today and I have the fan on directed at Amy as she was panting with the heat bless her.

It was my mother's birthday today she was born in 1912 in Hastings she died in 1996 again in Hastings.

I haven't done much today as it has been too hot, I did water the garden and Amy had an early walk when it was still quite cool.

Frank I can understand you being upset having trouble getting a repeat prescription for your pain killers. Ros got a good bargain with the fillet steaks I hope you both enjoyed them.

Evening All,

What a terrible thing to happen Anne! I wonder how they got out.

I went over to Grantham yesterday, about 46 miles, and thought I felt much better, but by the time I got home I felt like crawling into bed! I was sneezing and nose dripping and had hot cheeks again and my throat was still sore and had white spots. OH went and got me some lemon barley water and paracetamol and I had an early night. I slept well and woke up feeling far better than I expected to and have had a quiet day today doing very little. I was going to a lecture at one of the hospitals tonight but decided a hot stuffy theatre wouldn't do me any good.

This morning, another van turned up with people digging the road up from the end where the new properties are being built to the end of the private road. It is to lay new gas and water mains as the builder has no idea where he laid the pipes to our bungalows so can't connect ! :-S It will take till Friday and they will patch the road with tarmac after. They had no idea what the builder is doing about the electric to the places he is building........more road digging? So in addition to lorries still arriving with materials, noise from the builder's digger, noise from the drive layers up the road, we now have another 3 days of a pneumatic drill and digger to empty the trenches they are making!! :-S Also another vehicle and trailer to join the rest up the road parked on the pavements. No chance of a lie in these days!!

Hope you get a good night's sleep soon Frank and it's good Colin is doing nicely. He'll have to hang a carrier bag around his neck Mandy! :-)

Off to bed now.......night, night all. :-)

Well I hope we have some better weather tomorrow. Everyones been say what a nice day they have had and we had a rotton one. Kept coming over dull. I left washing on the line and oh said it had been in twice and back out again because it started raining. It still was'nt really dry but I ironed it when I got in as it was only two of my shirts, one small kitchen towel, 3 of my vest t shirts and 6 pairs of draws. He had pegged it back just how I did it nearly. I was surrprised he took my draws in!!!!!!!!!! but I suppose its the only chance he gets to put his hands on them anymore!! No only joking!!

What a lots going on in your close Ann. I bet you'll be glad when the new houses are finished and hope its turn peaceful again. Hope you get a good nights sleep.

Gorgeous sunshine here today with a very light wind, so I'm sitting outside soaking up the rays while OH is in his workshop making a bit to fit onto his ride on! Cas is asleep, as she has had a good run in our field. The large field has been ploughed so she can't go in there any more. Next week the beans in the field behind us are being harvested, so we will be able to take her in there, till it's ploughed!!
Nothing much doing here except reading and snoozing!

Afternoon all,

Just a quick post from me. as I can't see. I was at my eye test at 11.00 this morning got out at 12.45 pm I had to have the drips in my eyes, and everything is still blurred . She did say it can take up to 6 hours to have clear sight. So I am getting there.

Had contact from Jane this morning. Weather not been that good, and asked me to pass on her love. She can't access the THREAD.

it's so hot, I am down to my u/pants and still sweating like a pig.

Ros is still busy emptying draws and cabinets. I have been going round pulling hooks out of the wall. most of which have ended up behind the furniture.

Afternoon Everyone,

:-)Happy Birthday :-) to Fiona.

What a to do about your prescriptions Frank........you would think they would get something that's regular right. No you don't even want to attempt the stairs in Torquay just yet.

I slept well last night Mandy, but I seem to have run out of steam already today!

The road diggers have located some of our pipes so at least we know where they are now. According to the workmen our neighbour has rung the police and reported them for criminal damage and trespass. They had gone onto his front garden lawn to use their dectector to try to trace the pipework from his bungalow to the road, so they could hopefully avoid any damage to them in the road with their digger. The neighbour is abroad, but he installed CTV covering his front garden and drive just before the builders started a few months ago and he told us he could watch the recordings, even when he's abroad. I went and had a look in the trench this morning and our tree roots are not damaged which is good. The men said they dug with spades near the tree instead of using the digger. :-)

Mel I had to chuckle about your OH fetching your 'draws' in and out in the rain!! lol. Mine deliberately annoys me by putting mine on the outside of the rotary line for anyone to see!! I always hide them in the middle behind other stuff. :-S

We've just come indoors after having our supper outside on the veranda. It's been so warm it seemed a shame to be sitting indoors! We'll get more than enough of that during the winter!!
Had a really good day, talked to daughter this am, then spent the day outside. Managed to pick some blackberries and have stewed them, so they'll be ready for the freezer. It's all go in that garden!!!

Good Evening Everyone

<3 <3 <3Happy Birthday to Fiona <3 <3 <3.

It's been hot here again today not quite as much as yesterday. Lets hope Jane has better weather tomorrow

Pleased that you had a good night's sleep Ann, it took me ages to drop off last night, I had the windows wide open and the fan on but it was still too warm.

Paul moves tomorrow so I hope all goes well for him, he has had the week off so he should have it all ready for the removal men. the firm moving him, Waitrose use so he knows the owner quite well.

I haven't done too much today, we had cottage pie for dinner his evening which I made earlier so just had to heat it up in the microwave.

I have had a busy day and not really done anything if you know what I mean.

I had to cut a lump off the side of the tablecloth I bought for the kitchen ercol table. I had measured it all out to cut it off my side when I spied a mark on oh's side. I thought he had spilt something on it and tried to wipe it off but it would'nt shift even with a bit of Cif. So I had to change sides and measure again. The bit I cut off just covers my old table mats so I covered one to see what it would look like. Gave it to oh to put his dinner on and he said it was a bit off putting and he could'nt see where it was very well.

<3 <3 <3 Happy Birthday Fiona <3 <3 <3

Sorry it a bit late.

Morning all, Evening Kim,

Sight back to normal, I wish my knee was too. !!! I sat in the car park at Tesco yesterday with a clean handkerchief over my eyes to keep the glare of the sun of my eyes. A woman came to her car next to ours. I looked up, and she apologised for disturbing me as she thought I was having forty winks.

Thick mist this morning here. I was in and out 4 times last night, it's all this water I am drinking. No sign of sunshine yet., and there's not a bit of movement of the trees.

Ros went of to Tesco yesterday evening to get more BOX'S (SEVEN) Carolyn has just called in with another (FIVE). The conservatory is now about six foot high with box's of glass wear and china. She is now making room in the garage for all the paintings that are on the walls. It's only a few days now before the decorator comes 26th. Then we will be in a mess. I hope he won't take to long.

Harvey rang last night to say he was buying Ros an extendable hedge trimmer for her birthday. She will be pleased with that, as I haven't replaced the one that pack up.

Ros won't be able to go to Devon with Jan next week, as she has Dentists and Doctors appointments, I have injection and physo.

Shower and shave time, then I might try a walk down the close, on my own !!!

Another beautiful day here, makes me realise how lucky we are to live in such a lovely spot! Done a load of washing, cut back the Syringa bush, took out all the dead branches and now have a small bonfire!!
