Evening All,
Hello Gill, nice to see you pop in and update us. :-) Don't worry about finishing your garden for Michelle..........the finished job will be something for her to come back and look at another time! :-D The others will tell you it took us ages to redo our smaller garden a few years ago. It's heavy work and impossible to keep at it like in our 20s. Better to plan what you want and select some plants/shrubs over the winter and keep them in their pots till spring to plant.
I bet James was shattered when he got home Jane.....another early night will do him good. I hope you get your mammogram results soon, I think the waiting is the worst part. I still have lots of little red marks from the biopsy.......as well as scabby bits here and there where the wasp stings were........!! :-S
Oh Mandy, that isn't like you is it........but we would have been annoyed too! Fancy ignoring you to give the other customer preference after they had already messed you about!! I bet Chelsea has been whizzing about getting her muscles used to her rollers!
Mel, it sounds like the new teeth are fitting your gums better, but I expect you need to get used to the new bite so you don't catch your mouth. The trouble is, once you bite your cheek it seems to swell a bit so it is easier to bite again!! :-0 Maybe they will need to shorten or do a bit of shaping on the teeth that catch if it doesn't improve.
I still have this sore throat, but the slight cough and sniffles are almost gone. I even had the mirror in my mouth to get a better look this morning (no, it wasn't a wall mirror Frank!!!) and then I took a photo. Not a pretty sight......all the back half of the roof of my mouth is bright red and lumpy to feel with my tongue, but the white tonsil spots have gone now. I'll give it another couple of days to make a fortnight and if no better I'd better see the doc. No wonder the NHS is struggling the amount of times I've used their services this year!! lol.

Did the hsopping and met my cousin Janet in Morrisons and we had a good old chin wag. She's the one who had her partners kidney and she said it was nearly a year ago now. I could'nt beleive it as it did'nt seem that long ago. We talked about when she came to stay with mum years ago when we both lived in Redbridge. She also remembered things I could'nt.
Janne if you have some beef or chicken dry food for Thomas the hogs woud like that. Nothing tht has fish in it though as that can be fatal to hogs and makes them do green poo.
Signing out now so night night all.

Morning all,
Suns out here but its still a bit on the chilly side out there. Typicle September weather i'd say. I did'nt see if we had a misty moisty start as I had a lie in.
IO want to make more pumpkins today and maybe a halloween lantern for the boys next door. I wonder if they are having the usual halloween party in the village hall this year? The young mums did the hall up great last year.

Morning/afternoon all,
Another bad night, It seems as soon as I move my leg it puts me in pain. Ros keeps telling me I am not taking enough pain Killers. I am down to four in the morning and four at night, it should be double that amount. The other thing I have to consider is the constipation. I am taking Lacatose (sp) every day together with Prunes. But sill not regular.
B & Q 10% day today, so Ros has popped to get some paint and paste for the decorator who will start next Tuesday. He says he will start at 8.30 am each morning, so I will have to get up early. I was awake from 4.00 am this morning, so I try to get a bit longer in bed, when I get comfortable.
Dry this morning, so Ros has all the bedding on the line, and a colours wash.
I am waiting for Ros to get home before I get showered this morning, in case my knee gives way, and I will be stuck until she comes home.
Nurse for injection this afternoon, nothing else planned.

Afternoon all,
Lovely sunshine here today ,got lots of washing out as like Ros i stripped the bed this morning .
Frank what pain killers are you taking ? Colin is taking Tramadol which is quite strong and i can honestly say he has no pain , he can up to eight in twenty four hours but he is only taking 6 a day. Perhaps you can get a little doze in during the day .
We're hoping to get out in the front garden this afternoon to do a bit of weeding ,since we had the rain last friday the weeds seem to have shot up.
We're having a meat free day today as I'm doing a vegetable cobler for our meal tonight ,don't know what Colin will think of that as he does like his meat .
Mel , look out for the postman tomorrow , posted some thing for you today.

Afternoon Everyone,
I had a bad night last night too Frank.......my throat kept me awake. I got up at 3.40am to get a glass of milk and some paracetamol and then got off to sleep. Like you with having to be up early for your decorator soon, it's impossibe to lay in here. Not only does the dog kick off barking at 7.00am, the drive layers are still working just up the road, the cable diggers are further up the road now and have yet to tarmac the road across the end of our driveway. Then there's all the builder's deliveries still arriving. Why the builders have to shout so loud so early I don't know.
Frank I would up your painkillers a bit to see if that helps. Did the doc give you anything to help with the constipation. An extra glass or two of water a day might help as well.
I am taking more stuff back to shops this afternoon. I don't seem to be doing much that's interesting lately........will have to see if I can do something about that or I'll get bored!! lol. OH is back in the swing of meetings now and is out tonight. BBL.

Afternoon all
Sunny start to the day but it's forecast to rain later :-( OH managed to put the second coat of paint on the fence we put up the other day and I've been busy ringing around trying to get hold of 10 tonnes of top soil to be delivered tomorrow morning as OH has a few days off work. I was so frustrated as I couldn't find anyone to deliver that quickly then my mum turned up saw the state I was in and went to a local garden centre, they do top soil but not the amount I needed, they gave her a phone number of someone who might be able to help and after a couple of phones calls back and forth the soil is being delivered at 8.30 in the morning. I'm busy trying to clear away all the rubbish into bags that's down the side of the bungalow now so OH can take it to the tip before the soil arrives then we'll both be very busy wheel barrowing it from the front to the back. I've also got a landscape gardener coming to see us on Friday so hopefully he'll be able to do something to make the place look more like a garden, I don't expect the whole garden to be done but if he can just make the area where the garage was look pretty I'll be happy. I've also got someone coming here on 4th October to put the fence up at the bottom of the garden then the shed can be put up. I need to order the shed today so it'll be here on time, we bought one before where they put it up for us so I'm hoping I can buy one from them to save us the work.
Mum's just turned up again so I'd better go, I'll catch up with all the posts later <3

I too have done some washing and cleaning. I am about to finish the washing up and then get into the bathroom for a blitz in there. Its all go.
Mandy I wonder what it can be??????? :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D Do you like my new toothy grin?? Have you seen Niko lately? We like an update on him as we all seem as though we know him to from your reports.
My pc has been updating itself all morning and now some things are different.
I seem to be under a spider attack again. Not only the leggy ones but great big ones with eyes on stalks. I threw one smaller one out the bathroom window and the biggest one only had 7 legs and threw that out the back door. Last night it was bacorch wall and I only knew it was the same one as it had 7 legs so they do survive outside and I wish they would stay there. :-| :-|

Afternoon All I haven't used the laptop so far today as we have had several electric cuts. We knew we were going to have them so have been prepared. Hopefully we are back on properly now. Frank,I am thinking that you need to take your pain killers during the day still rather than just morning and evening. You need to keep topped up still. Is it possible to up the amount of lactulose? How about a bag of liquorice ? That is usually a great thing (if you like Liquorice) to help with constipation.
Your Sore throat is lasting a while isn't it Ann :-S.How long have you had it now? No peace either in your cul-de-sac.It must be horrible having all that noise starting so early in the mornings.Have you any idea how much longer it will go on?
Gill that was lucky to be able to find someone to get top soil to you for the morning :-)It is busy busy busy at your place !!!.I hope you manage to order the shed.
Mel we have loads of Crane Flies now as well as some of those blasted spiders. How do the Crane flies manage to get in the house so easily. They just seem to suddenly appear.I catch the ones I can in my hands and try had not to knock off thier legs but I am often left with a couple :-S. Hannah has been in the summerhouse all day and says she has seen Thomas have 4 mice so far today !!!!.I am just relieved it is not bunnies..Although saying that there is at least one Rabbit digging big holes in our lawn in the early hours :-S :-S..Chris is not impressed.I am just hoping that now Thomas is out and about again that they might just get his scent and scarper off to someone elses garden.
I have just booked lunch for Saturday at the Snooty Fox in Lowick. This is for Chris,Me,Hannah and GARETH :-D. James will not be able to join us as he will be down with Jess for the weekend. It will be a late lunch at 2pm as Hannah and Gareth are doing a long walk in the morning. No cooking in the evening :-D :-D
Someone has a gun and is shooting somewhere.I wonder what they are shooting ?It sounds as though it is from a garden further down the road.
Haircut for me tomorrow afternoon .I can't wait as it feels too long now.Hannah had hers cut and coloured the other day and said it cost about £50 less than it would have if she had had it done in London !!. It was still £100 .Chris says us women are vain :-S :-S..I won't repeat my reply.
How are the gnashers Mel? Can I see your toothy grin?
Mandy it is a meat free dinner for me and Chris too tonight.Just Pasta and Sauce ,Garlic Bread and Salad. The other 2 have Lemon and Pepper Chicken Breasts. They are ones I didn't cook the other night.Hannah is on this healthy eating thing and it quite fussy at the moment. But she is quite happy to cook her own food if necessary which suits me fine :-D.

Well Ros has MADE ME take extra pain killers. I am on CODINE and Paracetamol. The dose should be TWO OF EACH four times a day. but I have been down to twice a day. I drink a good litre of water a day, might be even more, plus tea and coffee, and my beers a night. (which I shouldn't have)
Been for my injection plus FLU JAB today. I am at the Physio and to see the surgeon tomorrow afternoon 4.00 pm and 5.30 pm. I hope they won't want to see me anymore.
Ros has ironed all the washing she did this morning, and got dinner ready for tonight. I am going to keep my eye on everything while it's cooking, she will be able to sit down for a while for a change.
I had better go a get things started or dinner will be very late.

Sorry to hear about James Jane, hope he's feeling better soon. Hope the results for the mammogram are good for you too <3
It's good you are taking the amount of pain killers needed now Frank. Have you tried Senokot it's a natural laxative and is really good, it might help you? Hope you have a better nights sleep tonight.
It sounds like you've got the bug I had a couple of weeks ago Ann, hope you feel better soon, mine went on it's own but it wasn't very pleasant at the time. Try some icecream, it helped me as I couldn't eat hard foods for a while.
Hope you managed to get all your weeding done Mandy and it didn't rain. It seems we're all washing bedding this week, I did mine yesterday ;-)
Did you enjoy yourself making the pumkins today Mel, what a nice thing to do for the boys, they'll love them.
Well, I've order the shed and they can make one the exact size we need and put it up for us which is great, unfortunately they can't do it until the week beginning 17th October, but at least it's ordered now and one more thing not to worry about. I'm going to try and get people in to finish off the jobs now, so we can spend some quality time with Michelle, I rang her and explained it was a bit of a mess at the moment and she said it didn't matter, so once we've put all the soil in place and laid the new lawn we're going to take it a bit easier.

I've had the sore throat 14 days now Jane with no sign of it easing much. The other cold type symptoms have all gone, just this wretched sore throat! My sister wants to meet up next week, but I just don't feel well enough yet. :-S My hair with a colour costs over £100 too and it doesn't last that long either!! I always inwardly wince when they say how much it is.
Frank that's good you are having more pain relief now. I hope it does the trick for you so you get less pain and more sleep! I think they recommend about 2 litres of fluid a day for a man Frank, but you may be getting enough with all the other drinks you have. I thought I drank plenty, no problem, till I took part in that study and they told me I was slightly dehydrated!!
Gill you sound like you have everything organised now! It's good you managed to arrange the soil delivery and this time tomorrow it will look very different in your garden.
I've got rid of 3 of those big, long fat legged spiders this week. They are enormous with their long legs and no way can I sleep with one of those prowling around the bedroom at night! I found one in the bathroom but left OH to deal with that one.

Yes everything is pretty much organised now Ann apart from the turf but hopefully that won't be a problem. Hope you start feeling better soon.
Going to bed now I'm really tired, I might not be online for a few days as I'm going to help OH move the 10 tonnes of soil. We've just had a down pour of rain so I hope it's not to wet tomorrow.
See you as soon as I can Night Night

Morning All,
Seeing the doctor this morning. Of course as always happens it seems to feel a bit better now, but I know it will get worse again by this afternoon. At least I slept better last night after a bad night the night before. I hope Frank managed a better night too.
After my appointment OH wants to go for brekkie somewhere, but nothing else much planned for the day. Later he is moving all our leftover rocks onto the gravel as I want some more on the rockery around the waterfall. I've a few plants to put in on some of the slopes and I find part burying a rock underneath where I plant and sloping it towards the roots, helps guide the rain to the roots rather than just running off. They are also handy to put here and there as stepping stones to reach weeds without getting soil on your shoes too. I think OH will be painting a few more fence panels. He's nearly finished the panels one side of the garden.

Morning all,
Suns out and its a beautiful day with wall to wall blue sky. I must put some washing in!! and hope it dos'nt make it rain.
It rained last night quite a lot. Started about 10.45pm and was steady and lightish. I hope its helped the grass seed.
Oh is fiddling down the back garden where he knocked a lump out of the wall and where he is going to put a gate and yesterday he mentioned an arch over it which would be nice. Then he said a trellis for the top of the wall for the rambler rose I have down there. we cut some of it off again this year. He cut it back hard last year so it did'nt flower this year. I am hoping it will next year as it has the most wonderful smell but only flowers the once but its well worth it.
At some point we have to go to Holsworthy and Lauceston for fish food and thats where we have lunch sometimes so he said he will treat me to lunch to test my new teeth!! Bl**dy cheek. :-| :-| :-|

Morning Mel, Anne and All, Evening Kim,
When I went for my injection yesterday, the nurse thought I had lost weight, so she weighed me, I have lost 11 lbs, I put that down to not eating very much, due to being inactive.
It's spotting with rain here, and poor Ros has loads of things to move into the garage. The room is in a right old mess. No pictures on the walls, all cupboards empty of glass wear. And to think it all has to go back gain when the decorating is finished.
We haven't heard how our MAX is doing, I trust he's behaving himself ?? I assume Thomas has settled back into his mice catching. !!
Carolyn and Jean (another friend) are off to ICELAND tomorrow until Tuesday. They have to leave home at 3.00 am tomorrow.
After my appointments this afternoon , 4.00 pm and 5.30 pm I will take Ros for something to eat. Will save her cooking when we get home.
What are you all up today ??
I see Mary Berry won't be staying with BAKE OFF but Paul is staying. It just won't be the same, so here's one viewer that they will loose ,
