Ah thats a nice name Anne. I like it, "Aggie" <3 bet she can't wait to bring her home.

Sounds like you had a REALLY good lunch today Jane. Hope your head is clearer now. Poor Fitz the meds should help. Mum was on that for a while once. Bet Thomas loves the laser mouse, I can just see him whizzing around after the red dot.

Well I did'nt get on with anymore HW as I lost myself in my craft project and suddenly it was time to feed the girls and hogs and get something to eat. We had cheese burgers and chips so nice and easy. After I asked oh to pass me one of the big oranges I bought a couple of weeks ago!!!!! He lifted the first one up and the hwole bottom was green mould. He offered me the other one which was ok but I did'nt fancy it .

As to The Victorian Slum, well I was surprised to see wood chip paper on the walls....

Annx Report 19 Oct 2016 22:25

Well, I did finish the lounge diner HW Mel and hoovered the kitchen, uti and as far as the hoover would reach into the conservatory, but I know just what you mean about getting lost in your craft! I'm the same.

I've put the new small rug in the hall and it looks good! Then OH went in the loft and we'd caught mouse no 2 this year! We need to buy another few traps I think.

Jane it seemed to be me having most hip and knee trouble a few years ago. Even the few steps at the new Ascough's used to make me wince a bit, but now it sounds as if you and Fitz are having trouble now with your hips. :-S I wonder how Frank got on at the docs?

Anne those dogs are quite like the Weimaraner in looks aren't they only they are sandy coloured usually. Aggie will make a handsome dog.

Have PM'd you Jane.

Morning all,

Lovely sunshine again here and it looks like it could last all day.

Must get some washing in and change the bed. I think it must be St. Lukes little summer.

Frank

Frank Report 20 Oct 2016 12:50

Afternoon all,
Dr has given me cream to try on my knee, if that's no good it will be tablets that I can take with the ones I am on now for pain. But he is a bit concerned that the dosage might be a bit strong and knock me out at night. I also have dermatitis on both my shins, he has given me more cream for that.

Gawd Jane I would have loved to see you three artists and trying to get Fitz walking with the stick. It's bad enough doing it when you are sober.!!!

Madam is still putting paintings on the wall. The trouble is they are all so nice, she doesn't know which ones to leave out ;-) ;-)

I have only just got dressed. Ros cooked me a beautiful Eggs, Bacon, Tomatoes and mushroom breakfast with two slices of toast and tea. I have just sat back in the armchair and done nothing.

We tried (NEVER AGAIN) the NEW Morrison's Lobster and Crab ready meal. 90% was macaroni and 10% sauce. I didn't find any lobster or crab in mine. So be warned. !!!

I will do a nice roast for tonight, before Ros goes of to choir practice. I have pre recorded the soaps for her to watch after I go to bed. <3 <3 <3 (what a good boy am I )

Have a good afternoon all, might pop back later.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 20 Oct 2016 14:30

Frank I bought a prawn pasta for oh in Morrisons once and he did'nt have one prawn in it!!

I am off to Holsworthy in a min as I have a parcel to post and I need chicken food.

See you later.

Frank

Frank Report 20 Oct 2016 16:54

Where are you all ???

My printer has decided to pack up. I thought the plug from the computer went to the printer to give it power, there is nowhere for a mains connection. It's a Cannon MX 410. Has anyone got any idea what's wrong ???

Ros has a load of music that needs printing, so I am stuck. It might be a fuse somewhere, if there are any. I will have to ring Johnathan to see if he can help.

Madam decided she wanted a rack of ribs in BBQ sauce, Jacket Potato and coleslaw. So the spuds are in the oven in tin foil with Olive oil and salt rubbed into the skin. The ribs can go in a bit later. after she has made the coleslaw.

I will have a nice quiet evening on my own tonight. Wonderful !!!!

Jane

Jane Report 20 Oct 2016 17:54

I'm here now Frank :-) I haven't had the pooter on at all today until now.
Lets hope that new cream will help with your knee pain, and also the other cream for the shins. You will be sliding all over the place lol.
I never go to Morrisons.I don't like the sound of Lobster and Crab. That is bad that there was no actual 'meat ' in your meal :-S.Did it actually taste of Lobster and Crab?

Thanks Ann for your message :-D :-D
I bet your Hairdressers little Puppy is going to be a handsome dog Anne.Aggie was the name of my Sisters dog too.(the one who died suddenly in the kitchen). She was a beauty.

I can't see Fitz really using that stick. He is one of these people who listens to advise but never really acts on it :-|.He does himself no favours sometimes.

Where did you get your new rug Ann?What colour is it.I am sure it looks lovely in your hallway.
I bought some new bath and toilet/sink mats for the bathroom .Bright Orange !.You should have seen Chris's face lol.But I think they will look nice on the new floor and also go with the new coloured wall.It needed something bright.
Chris bought the ingredients yesterday for the Chrismas cake but when he got everything out ready to weigh up he realised he had got golden syrup instead of the treacle and had bought 2 bags of Sultanas instead of one and one of Currants,so he has wizzed out and got the correct things now. So now there is a big bowl of fruit soaking in Brandy in the kitchen.

Pork chops for us tonight with an Apple and Cider sauce,Charlotte Potatoes ,Carrots,Beans and Peas.

News on Hannahs move....... She now isn't moving!!.The Landlord of the house she and the other girls are in now has basically pleaded for them to stay as he had made the mistake of thinking he wanted to sell now. So as far as I can make out he is going to pay the holding deposit on the house the girls had found and will also not be putting up the rent which he had wanted to do.They are making sure that they have things in writing and I think will probably stay where they are now for at least the next 6 months.
One of the girls really wanted to move to this new bigger house with all the ensuites but Hannah and Al have made her see sense and that it is better to stay where they are for now. They would have never even considered moving out.So hopefully all can settle down again....Another good thing is that will be getting back that huge amount of money we had lent Hannah for the deposit and first months rent sooner than expected :-D :-D

My Nephew Matthew has gone to Cardiff today to collect 3 of the Child Immigrants from Calais.I think he has to take them to London to be placed with families or other care.He does a bit of work with the Red Cross and they asked for him to go.These young people will feel safe with Matthew. He is such a compassionate and caring gentle person.

I have shirts on the line and they were just about ready to come in when it rained :-S So they can stay out now until tomorrow.

Annx Report 20 Oct 2016 19:46

Evening All,

I hope the creams help Frank...........as long as you get them the right way round! lol. You are good getting Ros a lovely breakfast like that........it would never happen here. It sounds like you need some picture frames with glass both sides so you can put 2 pictures in and turn the frame around to see the one the other side when you want a change!! ;-) ;-) OH has been saying what a good team Blisworth are, he's watched them twice recently!

Well, my friend's Maine Coon kitten is adorable and is as big as an ordinary cat now at only 3 months old!! He has long ginger and white fur that is as soft as an Angora rabbit and has fur tufts on his ears and between the toes on his huge feet. He is quite vocal and makes chirrup noises and he brings his toys back to my friend for her to throw them again. She said she has never had a cat do that before.

I bought the rug online Jane.....this is it.......it's orange too!! It's smaller than the one in the pic, but is on the same kind of flooring with an oak chest of drawers in there and white walls. I didn't want to pay too much as they all trample and gather the same dirt eventually, how ever much you pay, and it's nice to have a change after a few years. We'd had the last one about 6-7 years. What colour did Chris paint your bathroom? I have an orange towel I use in the ensuite as that is all white including the tiled floor so needs a 'pop' of colour. It's good the girls don't have to move house now. It will save money and the effort and disruption.

https://www.modern-rugs.co.uk/product/floral-orange-rugs

I never spotted the woodchip paper in Victorian Slum Mel.......must see if it's there in next week's episode.

I've never had a manicure or pedicure. My first husband couldn't touch my feet as they tickled so much, but OH often gives them a rub and I like it now.

I did 2 washes today and the machine was still a bit noisy but not as bad as when it was empty and it did spin properly. I think it will keep going for a while and give me chance to sort and decide what to get in it's place. :-S

Anne Report 20 Oct 2016 20:38

Good evening everyone

I have been very lazy today and apart from putting the Sainsbury delivery away, having a quick tidy up and cooking the evening meal and not much else.

Hopefully the cream will work on your legs Frank.

Hannah must be pleased she doesn't have to move Jane and that the landlord is giving them a good deal
,
That rug that you purchased Ann looks attractive and nice and modern.

I didn't notice the woodchip paper either Mel , we are starting to watch Paul O'Grady, for the love of dogs now.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 20 Oct 2016 20:50

Been in Holsworthy all afternoon. Did the chicken food shop and bought myself a new jumper it is mauve and cost £34.99 !!!! but it is nice and comes right over my botty so should be nice and warm. The only thing is the sleeves are a bit long but that may be good in the winter as they will come right over my hands and I can turn them up inside to get them out of the way.

Mandy look out for the post please.

Hope the creams work for you Frank and make things a lot better in the knee region. What cream did you get for the dermatitis.

Good news for Hannah and the girls then Jane that they can stay on at the same rent and get their money back for the deposit of the new house.

Oh is a bit like Fitz in the way he is told things and will give things a go then not do it anymore.

Morning all,

Misty moisty morning with plenty of fairy hammocks hanging in the weeds over the back shining in the sun. I tried to take a pic but the camera did'nt like it with the sun in its eye. Just had a look and there is one thats not too bad.

Time for tea and toast me thinks said pus cat Jinks.

Frank Report 21 Oct 2016 11:24

Morning all, evening Kim,

Printer all sorted. Martine called in to see us on her way home from work. She looked at the printer and found a plug hole for a mains lead. It is down the bottom left hand side. No wonder I couldn't find it.

My knee is feeling a little better this morning so lets hope I am on the road to recovery. I still have a job getting my pants, socks and trousers on. I sometime need Ros to help.

Ann, I didn't do that breakfast for ROS. She did it for me. I said to her it was the best ever breakfast and gave her a cuddle. which she didn't really want. lol lol

Ros has been sorting her "MUSIC" into order this morning. They have everything sorted now for the order of songs for the concerts.

Jane, if Fitz doesn't really need a stick, he will find it hard to keep in time with his stride. I must admit, I find it so helpful, and don't know how I would get around with out mine.

Ann I will have a look at that rug link, as Ros mentioned this morning that the sheep skin rug on my side of the bed is old and needs replacing.

That rack of RIBS were so tough that we threw them away, and just had Jacket potato with coleslaw, cheese and baked beans. We won't be buying any more of those.

Nothing planned for today, I might try to get round the block, but will see.

Have a good day all, and keep out of trouble.

I really must clean the bedroom windows as they are so smeary on the outside.

Afternoon all,

Postman has been Mel :-D thank you so much the snowman is lovely and will take pride of place on the side board at christmas , the girls will love their hedgehogs too .
I will use the box to post your hedgehog he's nearly done just one foot and the two ears to do.

Wet here this morning ,we had to go and have a new bit of exhaust pipe on the car it was the box bit at the back ,it was just beginning to go and sounded a bit noisey , after that i nipped into Lidls for some bits and pieces .

Ann thats a nice rug i like the colour ,i had a look at their site and theres a lovely choice on there so i have bookmarked it as we will want a new rug next year when
hubby can get round to decorating thd lounge.
Lovely rainbow photo too.

Dog training went well again , Max settles in the car quite well now , when we get to the crossroad now near the hall up he gets and wags his tail , he knows where hes going .
There a dear little Collie called Hero he is very young and last week the poor lady had
to pull or should i say slide him round the floor as he wouldn't walk but this week he was much better he did walk a little :-

Anne i had to google that dog your hairdresser is getting i had never heard of them before , they are a lovely looking dog and a beautiful colour.

Hope the creams help Frank and glad you got the printer sorted out in the end .

Mandy if he gets a bit squashed hold the base and give him a little shake. Same with the girls hogs hold the nse and a little shake.

Now I will tell you the story of your snowmans earmuffs. When I was about 9 or 10 I had for Christmas pom pom pets. You had three pom pom makers wooden heads and bases for little things to stand in some wool I think and coloured pie cleaner. The earmuffs were made out of two of those pipecleaners that I have had for about 57 years!!!!!!!!!

We,ve had lunch and the washing is drying nicely and now I am going to clean my little loo and handbasin and then tackle the windows.

Frank Report 21 Oct 2016 15:37

Afternoon all.

Nice sunny warm afternoon here, I made up two gallons of very strong weedkiller and Ros has sprayed it over the stone chippings at the bottom of the garden. She has weeded the area, even though there is a liner the grass and weeds come through.

Mel that cream is Betnovate RD cream, and the one for the knee is Phorpain Gel. Both seem to give a bit of relief.

I went down to see Ros who is still gardening. When I can in through the Conservatory I tripped over the threshold of the patio door and went down like a sack of spuds onto my KNEES. To say the least the air turned BLUE and my knee didn't like the exercise, it's throbbing like mad at the moment. Needless to say I have been sitting with my legs up this afternoon.

Glad Max behaved himself last night Mandy. I am sure he will be the perfect LAB. (strokes from me) xx

I have prepared dinner while Ros is down the garden. Minted Lamb Steaks, Roasts, Parsnips, Brussels, Carrots and peas.So we won't go hungry.

Back to my armchair.

Afternoon All
Not a happy bunny here :-S The freezer has packed up AGAIN. it was only fixed a week ago :-S :-S..Thankfully though I have managed to save all that lovely meat I stocked up with as my neighbour had enough room in her chest freezer in the garage. So most of it is in there and the rest I squeezed into my small fridge freezer.
What is so annoying though is that next friday is the first available day for someone to come out :-S :-S

Ann,that new rug of yours is really nice, and like Mandy says the site is a good one for choice of rugs so will be handy to look at next time we need a new rug.

Oh Frank your poor knees :-(..I hope you haven't done any lasting damage. It sounds like they have had a right bashing with that fall.

Good Boy Max.He is going to be star doggie at the end of his training :-D :-D

I am making Gino D'Campos Bolognaise. It cooks for 3 hours !!!. I just need to give a bit of a stir every now and then and make sure I don't need to add any more liquid.I have got fresh Tagliatelle to go with it.
Chris has cooked the Xmas Cake ..Boy it smells so good, and looks good too :-D.

Frank

Frank Report 21 Oct 2016 16:59

just having a break from sitting with my leg up (not over) lol I have been walking up an down the lounge.

Ros has just picked another load of runners, she thinks there might be a few more next week. She has only just come in after a day in the garden. She has trimmed a couple of trees, Hovered up the leaves from the lawn, and around the pond.

Have got the pots on to par boil, o will have to keep an eye on those.

Frank you are a silly boy. Fancy tripping again and landing on both knees. I bet you got told off from Ros. Hope you hav'nt done any damage to it.

I have cleaned all the outside windows and am not very hot so thought I would see what you have all been up to.

Jane thats a bu**er about the freezer. I would have thought they would have come out sooner than a weeks time as they had only just put the new compresser in. Just as well you noticed and managed to get all your new buys away safe for the time being.
