Morning All,

It was quite misty first thing and just down the road it's much worse now. I went for my flu jab and was in and out again before my appointment time which was good. Then we went to M&S as planned but there was nothing I fancied as it all looked too hot for me to wear, woolly fabrics, long sleeves and thick cardigans. :-S

The buiders are now digging at the end of our private road where the contractors laid the water pipes a few weeks ago so it seems something isn't right! :-S

Better catch up with some HW now starting with he kitchen tops and floor. :-S

I AM GOING TO TYPE IN CAPITALS, SO MY RIGHT HAND DOESN'T TOUCH ANY OTHER KEYS.

WE HAVE HAD ELECTRICITY PROBLEMS SINCE 9.00 AM. IT'S ON AND OFF EVERY 5 MINUTES OR SO,

ROS COOKED ME A LOVELY BREAKFAST AGAIN THIS MORNING. JUST AS SHE WAS DISHING UP THE DOOR BELL RANG. A CHAP ROUND THE CORNER CALLED TO SEE HOW I WAS DOING. TWO HOURS LATER HE DECIDED TO LEAVE ( I STILL HADN'T HAD MY BREAKFAST) HAD IT ABOUT 12.00 NOON.

I HAVE TRIED TO GET SHOWERED, BUT WITH NO SUCCESS, THE SHOWER KEEPS GOING OFF. I WILL TRY LATER.

POSTING NOW WHILE I CAN.

Ros is having her nails done at this moment in time, I am putting the T.V. back on after these cuts, which are still going on.

Not a very nice day here, overcast but I don't think it's cold. Ros has two lines of washing out, but it doesn't seem to be moving, so don't know if it's drying or not.

I might get Ros to take me to the pub tonight as there is a cup match on. Liverpool V Spurs, should be a good game.

My bum is very sore today after my injection. She told me I have no mussel there to inject into. The knee is no better either. So I am not the happiest of BUNNY'S.

Ann thats good when your in and out before your appointment time , any more mice ?
Do you think the builders are now linking up to the pipes the contractors put in ?

I wonder why your electricity keeps going off Frank, you would have thought you would have had a letter to say it would be off and on all day ,they usually send one if they have work to do so perhaps they have a problem, have you got lights ready incase it's still going off and on when its dark ?

I loved the pic of Mandy and the girls with their Hedgehogs :-D..Mandy you are looking good after losing all that weight !...Love the names for the Hedgehogs too :-D.The girls look very happy with them. I also think the girls have a likeness to you Mandy.

Thanks Mel too for the close up of the 3 Hogs.You did a lovely job there.

Frank have to tried ringing the electric company to find out why you are having so many cuts today?..or even a neighbour just to check it just isn't you having trouble.It does seem strange it is happening so often.

Oh no Ann not more digging up in your road !!!!It seems never ending in your little close. I have been down to Fitz for lunch today and Anglian Water are now just a couple of fields up from him doing work.(just before you go over the little bridge at the bottom of the lane).The work this end of the lane seems to have finished for now.There are metal gates up and nothing happening ,so it is peaceful for the time being.
That is good your throat has cleared up and you have managed to have your Flu Jab.
I haven't had a Flu Jab since Chris retired.He used to bring home 2 .One for me and him I would do his injection , and vice versa.

Ann I thought just the same as you in M&S today..Everything is winter stuff !!.It made me feel hot even just looking at everything.!!..I still have a short sleeves on today,even though some people are walking around in thick coats .They looked at me as though I was mad lol..Yes it was a little bit fresh but not cold enough for me to be wearing a coat. Maybe I AM a bit abnormal :-S.....I just have too much fat on me keeping me warm.
I think it is going to be a chilly night though looking at the sky now.The temp will soon be tumbling.There is not a breath of wind .Nothing is moving at all.

I watched the Victorian Slums this morning as I missed it last night. I do think this a brilliant series and find myself in tears at some points.I take my hats off to the people who have taken part in this programme .I know I couldn't have done it.

Jane i hate having my photo taken ,i was leaning over to the side thinking son would just get the girls in the photo , they loved the hedgehogs from Mel.
Yes i do feel better for losing some weight ,i had piled the pounds on over these last few years, i would still like to lose some more though , it's nice to get into clothes i've had in the wardrobe which i have hardly worn , i did get some new jeans , I'd gone down three sizes .

Really chilly out side now ,once the sun goes down the temp soon drops .

You used to hear a lot of Lloyd Grosseman at one time and I had noticed those sauses in the shops.

Done our shop and its all away and I got home quite early so cleaned out the bantams water and corned them all nice and early while the sun was still out.

I have a little wood mouse who eats off my birdtable each day during the day. He got short rations today as I forgot to feed then before going out!!

Evening all,

Jane the electric kept going off all over the village. When Ros went to collect the scripts. The were complaining that the computers kept going down and the phone. It been better since 4.00 pm. So I got my shower and shave then !!!

I have had to tell Ros off tonight. She went to have her nails done just after 1.00 pm and said she would call and get the scripts. on the way home. She didn't arrive here till after 5.30 pm. She decided to go around the shops while she was out. She hadn't taken her phone either. NAUGHTY GIRL. Smacked legs !!!!

Haven't done much this afternoon apart from worry about Madam, and get dinner. She is finishing off out there at the moment.

The screen is jumping about so I am off !!!!

Can I see the pic of Mandy and the hogs please? They were wearing boots and scarves here in M&S as well Jane!! lol. I was like you in short sleeves. :-)

Ann I did send it to you too but will do it again. Did you get the one of just the hogs?

It's quite foggy here at the moment so I expect the M25 will be bad, Becky is still in bed she will probably get up about 11o/c. Amy is fast asleep on her bed bless her.
Shadow presented me with a tiny rodent last evening, it could have been a shrew.

Ann we have had squirrels and rats in our attic at different times so I can understand that you are worrying about any possible damage with the mice it sounds as if there is a nest up there to be that many.

Mel thank you for the photos of your handy work, I didn't get the one with Mandy in either. You must have a lot of patience to make all these lovely things you certainly have a talent for them. Doreen my next door neighbour is into cross stitch and is going to the craft exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.

Naughty Ros, Frank for not taking her mobile phone so she could let you know she was o.k. Did you go to the pub last evening?

Not like the rest of you ladies I would like to be able to put on some weight it makes no difference how ever much I eat and if I worry too much I can lose even more. It makes me cross when the medical experts say type 2 diabetics have themselves to blame for their condition, with me its hereditary and I have never been over weight.

We are having meatballs tonight they are the same as you can buy in Ikea haven't had them before but Paul said they are nice so we will see.

Looks very damp out there today. It has been misty as the grounds all wet.

Anne all my life I have made things of different crafts. If I saw something I liked and could'nt afford it I made it. I was never a great knitter but once when I worked at the PDSA a girl came in with this lovely jumper with a big rolled over neck which came right over the shoulders. I loved it so bought the wool and she loaned me the pattern. Her mum had knitted hers but mine would'nt. I knitted it in a week. Mind you I was the switchboard operater then so had a lot of time during calls. Mum knitted a lot till she could'nt see much.

I have to help William today with a few family names as he asked me last night.

Washings out but I don't think there's a good dry today as there is next to nothing in the wind department and its still dull and cloudy.

HW is on the adgender (sp) for today as I have piles of ironing to do and have to clean the bathroom and little loo.Just thought I hav'nt even made the bed yet!!!!!!!!!

Done all my daily challenges of feeding birds, chickens, bantams and fed oh so I better get on.

Yes Anne Ros took me and picked me up from the pub. Not the most exciting game, but it got me out for a couple of hours.

Went into the conservatory this morning, and YES I tripped on the threshold again, when coming back in. Only jarred the knee this time, but still made it hurt !!!


I am going to check my weight on a daily basis, as I get out of the shower. I laid in bed worrying about my weight last night, and got up about 1.00 am till 3.30 when Ros came and woke me up from the armchair. I know I am being silly, but after loosing my DAD and FOUR siblings to Cancer. and loosing all this weight. I just can't get it off my mind.

Very drab sort of morning here.

Afternoon all,

We had quite thick fog here this morning ,it has cleared now but it took most of the morning before we saw the sun , just hung some washing out there is a little wind so they might dry.

We're off into the garden now to do a few jobs ,things take longer with Colin having to still use his crutch.

Oh Frank not another trip !!

Hi Mandy, How is Colin progressing ?? trust he's getting better.

Have just bought Jan and Conrad their Christmas Presents. Would you believe they want a SEVEN RUNG set of steps. They have been ordered and paid for. That will be sent direct. Also Jan liked a willow tree that has lights on. It's six foot high Ros has also ordered a set of baubles to go on the tree. That will also be sent direct from QVC. So that's them sorted. She has just about got everybody's present now with the exception of Harvey Lewis and yours truly. I have still got to get hers, which I think will be a white gold bracelet.

Still quite a dank sort of day, but I can just see a bit of SUN under the floating clouds.

Knee is being an absolute BU##ER I don't know what to do with it. ANYONE GOT A SAW ???

I will be lucky if I get this post up as the the pooter or internet is a real nuiscance today as it keeps freezing or just not working.So I will keep it short for now.

Frank ,I just think you haven't been eating much since your op hence the weight loss.I can't imagine there is anything serious to worry about.You aren't experiencing any bad symptoms are you?

Wow ,nearly all Xmas presents bought and sorted !!!..Not here they aren't.I just have a couple bought.I have all my Xmas cards :-).But it is still October.

It was foggy here too this morning and I reckon it will be the same tomorrow. There is a clear sky now and the temperature is falling quickly.I nipped down the garden just now to get the Hedgehog dish and it felt really chilly.

Hosptial appointment tomorrow afternoon for me. I am still not sure if I am to have this hip injection .I am hoping not to :-D.It is at 3pm not a good time for finding parking spaces at the hospital .Chris might have to drop me off and then find a space.

Thomas is in early tonight.he had his starters on the patio and then came in meowing for his main course.I have seen him eat 3 mice today.I wonder how many more I didn't see !!.

Anne ,does Shadow bring in Dead or Alive things? I do wish Thomas wouldn't eat everything he catches especially when it is in full view all the time :-S

Moussaka for us tonight (Not Homemade).I don't think I have ever done one of my own.

Well just finished a nice RIB EYE steak with all the trimmings, full up now.
Jane I know I am not eating as much, but I'm nor doing much either. Ros tries to make me eat three meals a day, but I am normally satisfied with breakfast and my evening meal.

My old "Friend" use to bring live presents in for us. He was very good and kept them under his control until we found them. They were mainly mice.

It's quite normal for Ros to have the Christmas Presents all sorted by end of October. She tends to buy things as she sees them during the year.

It's so hot indoors tonight, but it might just be me. I have been cooking in a hot kitchen. I might pop in the shower before Ros takes me to see the TWO MANCHESTER'S fight it out in the cup. Come on CITY !!!!

How are the mice doing in the loft Ann ?Hopefully the new traps will do the trick.I haven't heard anything up in ours for a while( fingers crossed I don't)...It is just the time of year though isn't it where they find their way in .Little devils :-S

Thomas has gone out again :-S :-S...A lot of his fur on his back end has gone Ginger !!!.It looks most odd. Must be something to do with a winter coat. I remember Chesters hair sometimes went this colour.

You do find that with black cats Jane. My Marmite used to look a bit brown and thats how he got his name.

I have helped William out today I hope. There are a couple of trees on Ancestry with these people on but they have it all wrong to my mind and no census on their trees to even try to back up what they have recorded. Makes me so cross because other people copy these wrong findings so everyones is wrong.

Hope Amy is brighter today Anne. Has she still the cough?

Frank will you never learn that step is there. We can't have you keep tripping and landing on your poor knee. A friend of mine and mum went off their food a bit after ops and lost weight. I seem to remember you not eating some of the things you have been cooking lately that went in the bin too.
