It's been so long since I've been on here I doubt I'll catch up with everything, so I hope everyone is okay.

My laptop is playing up it keep freezing so I've not been able to get online for ages.

I'll keep this short incase it happens again.

I watched Dark Angel last night Mandy and thought it was really good.She is a brilliant actress isn't she.I am looking forward to the next one now.

I got my car this morning but will have to take it back when the new pump and something else arrives.I just can't use the aircon for now.(thank goodness it is not summertime)

Tomorrow the bathroom floor will be done.Don't know yet what time though.I just know it won't be before 9.30 so will have the chance to clean the loo etc before they come.We just need to move out a small free standing cupboard and the bin.

I think I can hear fireworks :-S.. So have opened the outer back door slightly just incase Thomas gets scared and needs in.
It has been a really filthy dreary drizzly day here today and all day.So dark too. It looks like it will be quite cold by the weekend.Hello Wood Burner :-D :-D

I haven't heard anything today about Fitz.But do know that finally he was booked in for the MRI !!!!.We texted a few times last night and he sounded ok even a little humorous lol.. He said he was going to be putting his earpulgs in to sleep as there was a Madman on the ward..I think it was some poor chap who sounded very confused and noisy.Maybe it was after an op.
Georgette should be in touch this evening to let me know if he is still going to be in KGH tomorrow so I can visit.She has to be in London for work for the day.

Cor! I saw so many houses today all decorated for Halloween last night.Some had really gone to town.I bet they would have looked good when it was dark .
Not one Trick or Treater here.So there is a bag of Jelly Babies and a bag of fingers of fudge waiting to be eaten :-D
Nothing amazing for dinner tonight.Just Italian style and plain Pork Sausages,Parmentier Potatoes ,Asparagus,Peas and Green Beans.I am hanging off putting it in the oven at the moment until I hear from James to let me know what time he will be in.I think he was booked in at a garage to get the front brake pads and discs replaced.

We are all a bit on edge not knowing the actual diagnosis with Fitz and what will happen next.

Trouble is in. His fur is full of sticky burrs so heaven know where he has been.

How's that knee today Frank? No more tripping over the threshold I hope.

Jane Dark Angel was good and I like that actress and I can't wait for the next one too.

About time we had something decent on the tv. I hav'nt watched Victorian slum yet so will see it tonight as I don't think there is much else on. I am also watching Countryfile Diaries which was on in the mornings I think.

Glad to see Gill posting again and hope the laptop behaves.

We've had a lovely sunny day here all day. Sorry you have had drizzle and its been dark but I expect we will have that soon too.

The colours are still lovely down here on trees that still have their leaves.

Good news on the Fitz front. I say good news .It is better than we all feared. His MRI showed a slipped disc which is what is causing all the trouble. So tomorrow if he can be fitted in he will have an operation here in KGH.Hopefully it will be tomorrow otherwise it will be on Thursday. Georgette said that Fitz will ring me in the morning to let me know what is happening and if I will be able to visit.
You were lucky to have had sun today Mel.Not a peep of it here ..The trees are just stunning right now.I love driving along a road when the leaves are all falling.
Ann certainly got some brilliant pics of the trees she saw.

Mel you must watch the Victorian Slum.It is a really good series.I caught up this morning on the last one.I don't think there is much on tonight that I fancy watching, but I had better have a look at the Radio Times just in case .

They are reshowing the Victorian Bakery today on BBC 2.

Dreary and drizzly here today and it now feels much colder out , we have the wood burner going so we're nice and warm in here .

I enjoyed Dark Angel too ,she is a good actress, i think it's only a two parter though .

I'm off to Norwich tomorrow with DIL we're going on the bus as its much easier than having to find parking ,she said we'll take Lewis so we will have the push chair for all the bags !!! LOL

Yes they were lovely photos from Ann i think the trees are so pretty ,when we sit and have breakfast we've been looking at a tree near the bell tower in the churchyard , last week at this time it was full of leaves now there are only a few left , i think it's a Maple and the leaves have been really beautiful on it .

Thats really good news Jane about Fitz , i hope after the op he will be feeling more comfortable.

I meant to say i saw Nicko last week , he still has a roof over his head for a while longer and he's hoping to be able to save up so he can get a place so he must be getting some money ,he said the only thing was where he is staying is out of town and he would like to be back in the town.

No looking at the radio times here .....Max got hold of the tele book and before we could get it from him he had dashed out side and shreded it LOL :-D
We now have to look at the sky schedule to see whats on but its not the same as having the tele book.

Well thats good news for Fitz and it sounds like they can do something for him. I'm so pleased for all of you. <3 <3 <3

II just typed loads and when I looked up none of it was there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was saying oh uses the telly to see whats on and flicks through too quick for me to read it. He dos'nt like anything I like on the tv except Doc Martin. He likes all the sci fi stuff........boring...... Mind you if he watches anything with me he always tells me who dne it or how its going to end. Bl**dy brain box.

Well, that's better news for Fitz as you say Jane and hopefully he will get his op in the next 2 days and with it being at the hospital where he is, it will be much easier for his visitors. It will be good to get your flooring done tomorrow.

I sent the pic of the pretty tree near here to the local paper. I used the same email address as I did for a competion I entered ages ago, so didn't expect a reply. Well, they have replied and have said the photo's a beauty and will try and get it into print in the next few days! :-)

I love The Victorian Slum prog. Some of the things that happened then have been a bit of an eye opener. I never knew what 'slumming it' really meant. We recorded Dark Angel.

Mandy, that's good to hear Nicko has a roof for a bit longer. I wonder why he needs to save to get a place? Maybe it's to get things like a bed etc.

We went up the motorway to IKEA first this morning and it was really heavy mist, almost rain. We had one of their breakfasts first, even the big breakfast is only just over £2. We came away with lots of ideas and a new travel alarm!! lol Then we carried on north to the East Midlands Retail Park and had a good browse around. I got a top and bra from the M&S factory shop, OH got jeans and a shirt. The jeans are a bit snug so I hope they don't shrink in the wash. :-S While we were in M&S we bumped into a lady carrying a tiny Chihuahua in it's bed in a carrying basket!! It was only 3 months old, but she said she daren't leave it at home in case she gets burgled and they take it!! It cost £1000 and was so tiny it would fit in a big pocket.

So you have no tele book now thanks to Max Mandy? I use the sky schedule all the time, I suppose it's what you're used to, hope you found something good to watch. Nice to hear Nicko has a roof over his head especially now the winter is almost hear. I'm sure he'll get used to it in time.

OH and I watched Dark Angel last night as well and thought it was very good, we're looking forward to watching the next one now. We have recorded the Victorian slum so will be watching that soon. I still haven't watched Poldark yet, I think it's the last one this week so I'll probably watch them all in one go. I'm just catching up with Strictly now, Sandra and I like that.

Just lost another long posting. I'm O.K. but still in a lot of pain and discomfort with the BLOO## knee.

Just as long as we know you hav'nt done anything silly. It seems you are going to have this pain for quite a while Frank. I think Janse's sister had a lot of trouble with hers.

Back from SHOPPING not for me. Ros want's to buy me a new coat for winter when I walk to the pub.. Found one I liked in Tesco. but she wanted me to go the the garden centre, who stock Cotton Traders. So off we went. When we got there I found one that I liked. I thought we were coming home. OH NO !! she then decided she wanted to lo It e around for plants and other things. It got to much for me, so we had WORDS.. I went and sat in the car, while she paid for what she had bought, and came home.

She has been shredding loads of papers and caught her gold charm bracelet in the machine, It has cut through part of the chain and damaged a half sovereign, so that's "MORE EXPENSE" for me, to have that repaired. It might be cheaper to get a NEW WIFE> !!!!

Frank,Chris is always saying he should change me for a new one.That was a ahame about Ros's bracelet and half Sovereign .I hope it won't be too expensive for you to have repaired.
Well I have just been to visit Fitz..Poor thing was all prepped and gowned ready for the op this morning when he was told that the list was full and he wouldn't be having it done today !!!!!!!!!!!.He had been nil by mouth all night too.So now it is to be tomorrow.It will be a whole week on Friday since he went in.He was in quite good spirits.(could be all the pain killers LOL) I took in a couple of M&S Sandwiches and a Lemon Muffin from the bakery department and some crisps .He says the hospital food is not the most appetising,but did have a Beef and Onion Pie for lunch which wasn't too bad. So we wait and keep everything crossed now for tomorrow.

The bathroom floor is done and the new Freezer has just arrived.The floor man was half way through when I had to go to the hospital ,and when Iwent out he front door I spotted Thomas underneath his van :-S.It took me ages to get him out and he was just about to jump in the back of the van (as the doors were open) when I grabbed him.
I just wonder if he has done this before and maybe it is how he ended up as a stray here.He might have travelled in the back of someones van from afar .

The flooring looks good (I will take a pic sometime).Chris hates the orange mats.

When I came to put my ticket in the machine to pay for the hospital carpark it kept spitting it out saying it was invalid !!!!!.I tried 2 different machines.It seems it didn't work because I had it in my handbag next to my mobile phone .So I had to traipse off to a Portacabin to get it sorted.The chap put my ticket in his machine and then his machine stopped working !!!!..I did cause quite a queue :-D..At least I got out in the end :-D

Totally clear sky here now.A cold night in store I think.
Chris is going to the NEC in Birmingham tomorrow to some Art Fair.So I will have the place to myself :-).I should be able to get my food back from my neighbour tomorrow afternoon /early evening.The freezer has to stand now for 4 hours before we can turn it on and then nearly 24 hrs before putting food in.Maybe it might be best to leave it until Friday morning to restock.

I think I will do Meatballs and Spag tonight.That will be easy.I have been out most of the day and just can't be doing with 'big' cooking tonight.
