Afternoon Everyone

I think that is a great idea Gill for the camera and bird box ,also a birdbath will be lovely for Sandra.I love watching all the birds have a good splash around in ours.

Fingers crossed OH can fix the car so you can get to the Garden Centre do with Sandra.I remember you going before. How lovely too that Rosie is with you much more now

:-D :-D

Mel washing your hair isn't going to make any difference just because of your cold and cough !! That is what my Nana would have said.I would just wash it and get it dry if you feel up to it.

Happy Birthday to the Birthday Boys :-D :-D..Will they be having a Birthday Cake?

So Frank is of to watch the footie. Hannah just sent me some pics from this morning when she and Gareth ghot caught up with all the Tottenham and Arsenal Fans.. So many police !!!!!.It did look as though they were being separated from eachother though. But I certainly wanted to have been anywhere near.I think Hannah and Gareth got away as quick as they could :-D

Time for a spot of lunch now.

Afternoon all,

Another rainy day here its been tipping it down all morning .

Happy birthday to your OH Mel i hope he is enjoying his day ,has he decided what he would like for his birthday ?

Son came this morning with the family and the little ones helped him open his presents ,it gets harder each year to know what to buy him but i think he was pleased with his things .

I hope your OH can fix your car Gill so you can go to the garden centre and see all the christmas things ,i remember you talking about the snow machine last year ,lets hope it not the only snow that Sandra will see .

Lots of fireworks going off here last night ,Max wanted a wee so Colin went out with him and fireworks were going off but Colin said he just stood and watched them ,there were lots of bits coming down and this morning i had to go out and clear up all these small bits of plastic.

You are right about the rockets in the milk bottles Ann they did use to fall over and shoot off , remember the fireworks that seemed to be all coloured smoke ? you'd stand waiting for the sparkle and just get all the smoke and then they just fizzled out .

I think the Roman Candle was my favorite firework as it shot out colours one after the other.

Yes I bought oh a cadbury birthday cake and a parcel arrived yesterday in the post and it had written on it Perishable Goods so I guessed it might be another cake and I was'nt wrong. It is from www.sponge.co.uk and if you go to their website his one is the Almond Praline one. It was sent through Moonpig and the card in it nearly made me cry and I shall definately be keeping this one. It has 4 pictures of a very young oh on it, when I say young not a child but a young adult. I shall have to ask Heather his sister if she has anymore pics of him.

So two cakes to be eaten this week and I can't wait to taste the one from his sister.

Oh Mel that looks a really yummy cake i bet you'll both enjoy a nice slice of that with a cuppa
What a miserable day weather wise ,we lit the wood burner nice and early so we're nice and cosy .

Evening All,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the two boys!! <3 <3 :-) :-)

Mandy's right that cake looks lovely Mel. That was a good idea for the card too and must have been interesting for you to see your OH as a young man. We have no photos of OH in his 20s and early 30s as his ex kept them all herself. :-S

I hope your car is easy to sort out before Thursday Gill so Sandra isn't disappointed. I too remember your trip to the event last year. So Rosie is just dining at your place now! lol. You have some good ideas for the garden so Sandra can watch the birds from her bedroom.

OH found another mouse in one of the traps in the garage this morning. Checking them regularly seems to be his new interest and I think I shall start calling him 'THOMAS' soon!

The place we have Sunday lunch down the road is getting busier and busier each week now! We always went early, but had usually finished eating by the time people started turning up. Today we were earlier still and were served before 12.00pm but it seemed a lot of other people had the same idea.

I enjoyed Strictly last night. I love Judge Rinder and Ed Balls is very entertaining and is actually getting better now. Danny is still a hard one to beat though, but the others are catching up too.

Gillx

Gillx Report 6 Nov 2016 17:23

How nice, two cakes, he's certainly being spoilt isn't he Mel?
How are you feeling now, better I hope. Did you do anything special for your OH's birthday?

Did your son enjoy his birthday Mandy, sorry to hear you've had bad weather, it's been dry here today but very cold and windy. We had the rain on Friday when we took Sandra out to the firework display, she still enjoyed herself though.

Sandra is watching Christmas films, most of them I've seen before but she's really enjoying them. I can't believe it's dark already, the days are getting shorter and shorter now. Rosie came round before for some food, but she is taking them to bury for the winter and every time she leaves them the pigeons eat them, no wonder she is here a few times a day now.

Did you enjoy your time at the pub Frank? I hope the weather wasn't to bad for you to go out in.

Danny is Sandra's favourite Ann, he is an actor in Hollyoaks, a programme she likes to watch. He's very good on Strictly and like you said a hard one to beat. I to like Judge Rinder, his facial expressions are so funny and don't always go with the dances he is doing, very entertaining to watch though. I think Ed Balls has improved too and also very entertaining.

I can hear more fireworks going off outside, I suppose it'll go on for a while yet, it normally does.

Jane Report 6 Nov 2016 17:41

Hopefully it will be quiet tonight. It has been pouring with rain so I can't really imagine any more fireworks. I remember one year one of our Rockets flew off at a tangent and went over the hedge and hit next doors patio door !!!!!!!!!.You should have heard the thump when it hit :-0 :-0..I jusy like the quiet gentle colourful ones :-D

So 2 cakes then Mel :-D.I bet they won't last long lol That was a lovely idea of Heather to do the card with the photos.

Glad your son liked his presents Mandy.. Honestly I just never know what to get the men.The thing is these days everyone has everything.Chris is always the worst.James not far behind.Hannah is much easier as there is always clothes, perfume ,and girly things.

Golly I am so hot!.The woodburner is chucking out so much heat, plus the central heating is on and the oven.I fell asleep earlier as it was so warm.Mind you I am waking up so early in the mornings these days.I am downstairs by 6.30 often these days and that is after being awake at about 4 and having a read on the Kindle and then dropping off again ,and Chris is the one who seems to be sleeping longer. It was always him up well before me.

I haven't heard from Fitz today, and I won't ring as the boys have been with wife and partner plus little Ottilie.I have to get my car back to the garage in the morning for 10,so then I will go down the lane to Fitz around lunchtime.I do hope he has had a better day today.I hope he lets me have a look at his back .I am curious to see how big a wound he has.But he may still have a dressing on it.

Roast Pork,Roast Potatoes ,Roasted Root veg tonight.Plus Yorkshires and good thick gravy.I was going to do Greens too but I think I have got some many root veg that they will be more than enough.

Ann,I meant to say that is good you are catching the mice before they get as far as your loft.At least you know where they are coming in. :-D

I don't think Thomas has been too lucky today on the Mouse Front.I have spotted him stalking some but didn't see any catch . I went to call him in a little while ago when it was tipping down. He sprang out of the hedge like a kangarroo LOLand legged it swiftly to the back door.He was soaked.

I wonder if Liz has has been busy with family. Calling LIZ :-D :-D

X F tonight....That Honey G is not my cup of tea BUT I actually thought she was good last night.I am thinking she might be in the final.I do like the 3 lads.(12 after midnight? )
In fact they are all good I just can't decide who I want to win. Chris will exit the room once that is on .

Potatoes need turning.

Well by the sounds of oh I did give him something for his birthday.....MY COLD!!!!!!! :-(

Its been anohter lovely sunny day here today but with a very sharp breeze. The washing nearly dried and would be dry enough to iron but I can't be bothered. It will still be there tomorrow same as the dust.

I have just looked down at my keyboard and it needs a good hoover and brush as the keys have a lot of fluffy dust around them. I must remember not to do my craft by the pc.

I did the order for my two little things for the little girls for Christmas so I only have to drop them off at the shop for collection on Saturday.

Evening all,

I enjoyed my trip to the PUB. It was Spurs V Arsenal not Chelsea. Meet up with a few local lads, and enjoyed the company. Ros took and collected me, so the rain never bothered me.

Ros is making some Jewellery and has just knocked the tray of stones on the carpet. She is down on her knees trying to find them all and put them back on her work tray.

We had fireworks last night up until 10.00 pm which I thought was a bit late, and again this evening, but not so many.

Country File was very good tonigh, as was Strictly , now it's the X factor, so I am out of the way for a while..

Happy Birthday to the BOYS. Hope they had a good one.

e just looked at the price £149.99. So you can forget that. !!! We have bought Lewis MILLION Aftershave and body wash. That was nearly £60.00. Where does the money go ???

I trust all the sick and poorly people are getting better.
Knee still giving me a lot of pain, I have cooked dinner tonight, and done most of the washing up. Ros came and finished off and cleaned down. I don't to it right. !!! I'm not stupid
;-) ;-) ;-)

See you in the morning.

I'm glad you enjoyed the match and the company of some males Frank and a couple of pints I expect.

Am feeling a bit better today but now have a cough and so has oh. I watched the Dan Snow program tonight about going to the old gold fields. It was interesting so now I shall watch it next week when they get to Dawson City.

I am now going to get ready for bed and then watch the last Poldark.........

There looks like some good programs coming on soon so perhaps I can get into those.

Signing out now so see you all in the morning, night night.

Morning all,

Lovely sunshine here today but its not that warm out.

Poor oh has really got my cold, well he has Man Flu, children have colds and women get on with it.

I have just made him a coffee and put a good slug of whiskey in it. That'll keep him quiet for a while.

Nothing on the cards to do today but I should bring in all my solar lights in so I may do that today.

Frank Report 7 Nov 2016 14:00

Afternoon Mel, and all my friends.

Not a lot happening here either. Slept well last night, didn't have to get out once. We were up by 8.30 am COT and Eggs and Bacon and two slices of toast.

Had a laugh last night. Ros always gets my tablets in a small pot, and puts them on the table beside me. I said thanks my love for getting my tablets ready, and picked up the pot and threw them down my throat followed by a glass of water. An hour later Ros said WHERE ARE MY TABLETS. I replied I don't know. Did you leave them in the kitchen ?? No. You have taken mine, yours are still on the table, I took her anti=biotic for her water works as well. ;-) ;-) ;-) Perhaps that's why I didn't have to get out in the night. !!!

Ros haS DECIDED TO PAINT THE BATHROOM CEILING (SORRY) and the door frames. She will do the door later. I just wish I was able to do it for her.

Bright sunny day here, even though it's a bit chilly out (I have put the Black Bin out)

Beef in onions and gravy, with the potato's on top bKED IN THE OVEN, WITH VARIOUS VEG, AND i HAVE MADE HER A rICE PUDDING. (Sorry again!!!) I keep catching the Cap Lock.

I trust you are all well, time for a bit of lunch, see you later.

Afternoon all,

It's been a fairly bright day here ,we had what i thought looked like sleet this morning , if is really cold out i was glad to get back in the warm after taking Max for his walk.

LOL Frank what are you like taking the wrong tablets !! :-D that really made me laugh ,could have been serious though if Ros had any tablets that didn't agree with yours !!
Thats good that Ros can do the painting ,thats something that I'm not keen on doing ,i try to do most things but when I've tried painting before i get to many runs so l leave well alone .

Fancy giving your OH your cold Mel i bet your in his good books , how was that lovely cake ?

Jane how was Fitz today ? I hope he's feeling a little better .

Mandy we hav'nt tried the cake from his sister yet. We tried some of the one I BOUGHT IN Morrisons. It was a Cadbury Flake cake. It was SO sweet we decided neither of us could face anymore of it so I am going to throw it out. It cost me £10 and what a waste of money that was.

He only had one wrap for lunch and his yoghurt and cuppa soup. He usually has two. I put the rest of the salad and ham in the fridge for tomorrow. Sent him of with a miniture Jamesons whiskey and a glass that I gave him for Christmas last year. He took it in his study but has been in bed most of the afternoon so he must feel really rough. But like I said we girls just get on with it.

I had a tidy up in my shed just now and picked up my big probagator to put on the shelf and in there was one of those yellowish ladybirds with white spots so I popped it in something it could get out of or stay for the winter.

Don't you start on us MEN Mel, We do have "MAN FLU" but most of us get on with it too !!! :-P :-P :-P

I have had no ill effects with taking Ros's tablets, but I didn't take mine, as there were pain killers in hers anyway.

I have got the oven on, so dinner will cook nice a slowly and be ready around 6.00 pm.
,
Bright sunny cold day but now the clouds are coming in, and getting dark.

Ros had head from the Jeweller regarding her bracelet. The mount alone is almost £100.00. So we are going to get other estimates.
.
Last part of the serial on ITV at 9.00 pm so will be watching that. It's been very good.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 7 Nov 2016 17:54

Do you mean Dark Angel Frank? I shall be seeing that too and Victoria Slum which is the last one too.

Went up the road fo rsome more milk and popped in the doc to see if our wscripts were ready after waiting ages they were'nt so came home with it getting a bit dark and corned the chickens, only a few of the big girls were out the rest had gone to bed. Let the banties out for a stretch and corned them, fed the hogs and the Robin in my shed where he has a glass bowl for his mealworms. Then went round and shut everything in that needed shut in and counted the bantams to make sure I had them all. I did.

Came in washed the fridge shelf ready for filling it up tomorrow and oh came out and said "your not cooking anything tonight are you?" Yes says I spag bol to which he turned his nose up and wants toasted cheese sandwiches instead so the mince has gone in the fridge and I shall probably have boiled eggs.

Evening Everyone

Frank thank goodness none of Ros's tablet are harmful to you.You don't want to be doing that again !!!!.Can you have different coloured pots? Or a marker or something.

Oh dear Mel Man Flu :-S I think us girls know all about that ;-)...I hope OH's cold doesn't last forever :-)

I haven't been to see Fitz as his OH decided to work from home today. I am glad she did as I have been hobbling and feeling a bit grumpy with a painful hip today so I wouldn't have been the best company.I will give him a call tomorrow in the day as i won't have my car and Chris is out and then I'll go down on Wednesday .I bought a big Pizza today to take down for lunch. He didn't sound too bad at all this morning when I spoke to him on the phone.Yesterday he managed to sit with all the family for lunch for about 15 minutes. (just long enough for him to clear his plate lol )
It's flipping freezing here this evening. I think Chris said we could be going below Zero degs tonight.
FRank that sounds a lot to mend the bracelet but then it does sound a fairly big repair.Still worth getting other quotes though.

Mandy I hope Nickos is still warm staying with friends. and not in the tent in the garden.I hate to think of anyone living rough in this chilly weather. There is us here with the woodburner blazing ,the heating on and an oven on with food in .How fortunate are we.

I can't wait for the results of the U S election.Just hope Trump isn't going to be the new President !!!!!!.He really gives me the creeps and I think quite vile . Have you seen the American chap who impersonates him? He is so good and funny.

Now where is our Liz ???

Still thinking of Anne.I hope she comes back soon.

Jane

Jane Report 7 Nov 2016 18:21

I will record Dark Angel as i haven't seen all of last weeks yet , i didn't realise it was on until 10.30 i thought it finished at 10 ,i was tired so thats why i recorded the last half hour of it.
Jake called in on his way home from school ,it was absolutely tipping it down with rain so i drove him home poor little boy would have been soaked through walking home.

Jane i hope Nicko still has a roof over his head in this weather too, i still look out in the morning when i open the curtains over to the place where he use to have his bed , i just hope i don't see him there again now the weather has turned .
We are so lucky to have the heating and food in the cupboard ,these days there seems to be more and more who are struggling , our food bank in the town are always collecting in Tesco's.

I'm not sure but didn't Liz say they had friends coming or were they going to visit friends ? I remember her saying they had a busy start to the month.
