Lovely tree Jane , it's looks nice and bushy , i hope you don't come down in the morning and find Thomas has stripped the tree of all the decorations in the night . :-0
I noticed the drunken fairy has been replaced :-D

I now moved the guard from the front of our tree to get to the plug for the tele and sky box , the sky seems to freeze sometimes so if we have to turn it off at the plug and leave it for a couple of minutes its seems to set it's self again .
Well Max thought he would have a closer look at the tree but he was good he didn't touch any thing , mind you i was standing beside him ,i bet if i had left the room it wouldn't have had much left on the tree by the time i came back.

More lovely trees Ann , the little bead decorations are pretty .

So you've had a good spending spree today Gill, did you get a nice range cooker ?

OOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooyou're going to have some fun this Christmas Jane and Mandy. When I watched the little video it put me in mind of one of my cats and the high jinks we had that Christmas. He went right up the top of the tree and it was about 10 foot tall. In the cottage the back room went right up to the point in the roof. I think that room used to be the carriage house. You could touch the ceiling in the front of the cottage, yes even me at 5' 2 and a half, without stretching my arms right out.

Want more videos now and longer ones........................

My little chap Matt Terry won!!! I said right from the start he was a winner.

Gillx Report 12 Dec 2016 00:15

Sandra's pleased Matt won Mel, all she wants now is Danny to win Strictly then all her wishes would have come true.

I did laugh when I saw what Thomas was doing to your tree Jane, it reminded me of my cats, they were just the same and didn't stop when told to.

I didn't get a range cooker in the end as we wouldn't of been able to get it into the kitchen with it being a small galley one, so I stayed with the same size one I have now.

It sounds like you might have fun with Max and your tree Mandy, hope both Thomas and Max don't do to much damage to the trees or themselves.

How did your meal go Frank, trust you all enjoyed it?

Off to bed now
Night Night

Morning All

Just a quick post.

Thank you Liz for the lovely e-card I remember last years didn't come up first time round. I am on my main computer for emails etc but use the laptop mostly all the time now.

Oh naughty Thomas Jane, I expect he thought his Christmas present had arrived early, luckily he hadn't gone any further. I remember Lucy our little black cat actually got to the top of our tree and managed to topple it over..

We have now put up our decorations it was a joint effort as Paul and the girls helped We have a large tree in the conservatory and a smaller one in the hall plus a tiny one on the landing window sill but no lights on this one.

Just going to get myself some breakfast, mushrooms and tomatoes on toast as I'm feeling quite peckish.

Morning Anne, morning all

Quite cold here today with a bit of a frost.

Mushrooms and tomatoes on toast that sounds nice Anne :-) So all the decorations are up now, we've only got a small tree in the living room this year as there wasn't enough space for us to put our big 7ft tree up with the new sofa's being larger than the old ones, it still looks nice though and of course Sandra has her pink tree in her room which she loves. I don't think she wants to take it down as she said her room wouldn't look as good without the tree, she loves Christmas that much she'd probably have her tree up all year round :-D :-D

Another busy day ahead of me today.....when am I not busy??? LOL ;-)
I've decided to make a start on sorting out under another bed as anything and everything seems to have been put under there for safe keeping and now I can't see exactly what's there. Then OH has to go to the doctors for his dressing to be done around 11am, then it's off to visit mum this afternoon. My sister is moving house today and her son is helping her, then he's bringing a few bits over to mum's for her to store them in her garage, he's also supposed to be bringing a conifer tree over for me that my sister said I could have. Sandra is looking forward to seeing her cousin as she hasn't seen him for quite some time, so I'm sure they'll have lots to catch up on. Mum has kindly said I can use her washing machine while I'm there as the washing is starting to mount up a bit. I'll only need to use it this once as the our new machine is being delivered in a few days so any other washing can wait until then.

You asked what make of washer I got Ann, it's a Hoover and so is the dryer, I just hope they can get them down the bottom of the kitchen as there's not much space to move and trying to get the turn through the kitchen door isn't easy either.

Going to get a cuppa, then make a start on some more sorting.....I've got the sorting bug now ;-) :-D

Morning all,

Dull and miserable here this morning with that sort of moisture in the air.

Had a huge rabbit eating oh's new grass oout the back this morning and two days ago it had its mate with it.

Have to deliver the ring to Erics today and get that one out of the way and make a start on a couple more.

Gillx Report 12 Dec 2016 10:31

It sounds like you're going to be busy as well today Mel.

Just been looking on the internet and guess what????? You can grow all sorts of veggies and fruit from the bits you throw away.......AMAZING ;-) ;-)
I'm going to have a go and see what happens. Some of the things need sunlight, which there isn't much of at the moment, so weather they'll work now, who knows? I'll still have a go though as I'll be throwing the bits away anyway so I've nothing to lose and if it doesn't work just yet, it'll be something to do next year. I'm quite interested in the spring onions, Sandra loves them and if she can grow them herself, she'll love that too. All you do is cut off the end bit with the roots on leaving about an inch of the onion itself and pop it in some water, you need to change the water every couple of days which is easy and watch the new growth appear, then you cut off what you want to eat and more re-grows in it's place.......Nice fresh spring onions when ever Sandra wants them, she eats them most days on her sandwiches with other things and this way she can grow them as well.

Still haven't started the sorting yet, been texting with my sister, she fell asleep after turning her alarm off, not a good start to her moving day, but she's back on track now and will ring me later.

Thanks Mandy for the Christmas cards they have just arrived. Sandra loves her's, I've not seen one like that before it's quite unusual.

OH's just gone to have his dressing done then it's off to mum's when he gets back so I guess the sorting may have to wait until another day now as I'll have all the washing to dry and sort out when I get back later and of course dinner to do as well.

I might watch the last one of My mother and other strangers while OH is out and do a bit more of my sewing, I still haven't finished my top as OH ripped his coat so I had to sort that out for him last night instead.

Didnt have a good night again, was awake just after 4'00 am ready for a doze now

Harvey did a couple of jobs for us, which helped. Lewis is going to try to pop up and see us, before we go away

Pleased to hear you enjoyed the dinner Frank, sorry to hear you were shattered by the end of it and didn't eat much in the end. That was nice of Harvey to do a few things for you, it all helps doesn't it? Hope you have a better nights sleep tonight.

Off to mum's now
See you all later <3

We feel the same Frank. These big family meals are just too much now, what with all the preparation, cooking and clearing up, it's become too tiring. What tend to do a cold buffet these days which is much easier all round. This is what we're doing this year when the family come over.
What a mucky old day! I must admit to not feeling very chrismassy, I think the news is so awful these days which really depresses us. Maybe we watch it on TV too much!
