Afternoon All I had to turn off the laptop earlier as I did a Frank and spilled a driink over it.(Sherry :-S :-S)..So sticky...Frank it is amazing how far some red wine can go when it is spilled!!. Gill I hope you enjoy your meal out with the family today. That will be nice for you if you aren't all going to be together for Xmas. Fingers crossed the leccy stays on for you.It looks preety rough up your end of the country. It seems bad enough here at the moment but nothing like up North.
Ann what a despicable thing to do.. A life saving bit of equiptment just trashed like that.I hope they find the youths ,but doubt very much that will be the case. Also to abuse the Paramedic like that :-S :-S.Bl***y animals. :-0 :-0
I hardly slept at all last night and after battling the traffic and shoppers this morning I feel quite wiped out :-S We are just waiting for Hannah to arrive now,and then James will be off a bit later. I do hope it isn't going to be a horrible journey what with the weather and all the traffic. Hannah has a humdinger of a cold as have all her friends,so I doubt she will be late out tonight.Good job I have my car back now so she can drive.
Thomas is wanting out.He might just decide not to go once he sticks his head out the back door :-)

What a horrid thing to happen to thast poor man. Some youths today just don't know what to do with themselves. Round here we have one of those machines on the wall outside the shop.
I have been cooking all afternoon and only made the sausage rolls and started dinner, sheep sh*t pie. I only have to put it together now and then I am going to do some mince pies.
Oh took the part out of my pc this morning as the new part was suppose to arrive today. Well we waited and waited and then we get an email on his pc to say it won't be delivered till next Wednesday now and that was very late in coming. He had packed it all away in the box it came in too so out it all came again and he had to put it back in my pc so its still puffing at me. He is in an awful mood but thats nothing new at Christmas as he hates it.
Think I will give him a nice big G & T that should calm him down a bit. I hav'nt seen him this cross for ages....... :-S
Those things Hannah brought sound really tasty Jane. I like the sound of the Strawberry and Rhubarb Cordial. Fancy forgetting her toothbrush.......silly girl. Hope James has a safe journey to Jess's.
It is great that Anne is going to get the little bitch and can keep her name as Ruby and not have to think of another one for a little boy.

BAH HUMBUG Mr Mel's OH lol can't blame him though Mel being cross about the new part not arriving today as it should have. Triple G&T for him :-D :-D. I have seen so many cross and grumpy folk out and about today.I nearly had a bit of a do with a lady who was trying to get into the parking space I was halfway in.But I kept my cool (kind of) and just got out of my car and said she had to reverse back as I was well in the space .
Liz ,I heard someone ask another person if they were 'TALKING TO THEMSELVES' :-D :-D..It made me giggle after your comment yesterday !!!!!
James has gone and Hannah is getting ready to go to friends for a meal. She has a hacking cough :-S
Mel the Chutney and Cordial that she made does look good.Chris only said today that he hadn't bought any Chutney..I am more bothered about making sure there is plenty of Branston Pickle :-D
I bought Moussaka for Chris and me tonight.Just pop it in the oven :-).All I will need to do is some carrots and green beans...Then I think it might well be an early night for me. I must ring Larry as it is his Birthday today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LARRY.
How's his eye now. Did it go all red on the white bit? mums did a couple of times but not at first.
I am what you call worn down to the ground today. I have been on my feet all afternoon and most of the morning. I have a lovely back ache and feel like Mrs Bridges in my apron and with all the cooking I have been doing and still no mince pies. I'll do them tomorrow.
Talking about talking to yourself. When oh asks if I am talking to myself I just say I am thinking out loud. I do it all the time.

Yes Happy Birthday Larry! Is Hannah turning into a 'domestic goddess' Jane? The things she made and brought do sound nice. :-) It's lucky you have both had the cough and cold so hopefully shouldn't get it. We said today that there was no Branston left so will get some in the morning when we get the papers. I'm liking Sainsbury's onion chutney at the moment.
Mel we have a defibrillator in the wall by our Co-op. Lots are getting stolen now though as thieves can sell them. :-S It said the one in the incident I described cost £13,000. They have good CCTV pictures of the man who stole it. What a shame the part didn't arrive for your computer and it must have been annoying for your OH doing all the work for nothing. :-S Well at least he had a reason to be grumpy this year!! :-)
I'm off to bed soon, can't seem to get off to sleep, then can't get up in the mornings!

Good Evening All
I have changed the photo back as the one I put on isn't Ruby but one of the boys. Sasha has sent me a very quick video of her which I have asked Jane to kindly forward on for me, I will have another go at sending the slide show tomorrow, Richard has been out most of the day and has gone to friends for the evening now.
It's been raining here with some wind but nothing extreme like in the north. I hope you don't lose your electric Gill apart from the central heating we are all electric but still need it for the heating as well. I would have to cook on the gas barbecue :-S :-S.
I hope you had an enjoyable meal Gill with your family it's nice to be treated now and again.
We only had fish, chips and peas this evening. I got the ham out of the freezer early this morning to cook tomorrow according to the sticker it should take just over three hours to cook I have a meat thermometer which I rely on, I will cook it in the oven as I don't have a big enough saucepan.
Ann that was awful that scum treating a paramedic and destroying life saving equipment like that maybe one day they may need help themselves and realise how serious there stupid behaviour was..
Mel how annoying not getting the part for your computer I can understand him being annoyed, Peter never enjoyed Christmas either nor does Bo his elder sister I think it goes back to their childhood when their Mother who worked for the matron of the local hospital used to volunteer to work and they were left with the four younger ones and dinner to cook as their dad used to work part time as a taxi driver,
I spoke to Diane his younger sister today and her daughter is also getting a puppy in the new year a spaniel they are naming Bella, they lost their greyhound a few months ago he was quite young and had cancer.
Abbie has just gone up to bed as she is very tired she has been playing bowls today so it's just me and Becky watching the telly.

Mel it must be really disappointing that your OH dislikes Xmas. All the preparation is such hard work and expensive then for it not to be appreciated must be a real downer! I don't think I'd bother if OH felt like that! Our lights are twinkling away on the beam and look pretty good! We're off to bed now as we're both flaked out! We used to decorate the outside of the door of Merlins stable, but so far we haven't done it this year - maybe tomorrow!

M orning all and little Ruby,
Just look at that lovely little pink nose and cute face. <3 <3 <3 I can almost smell her.
Went to bed absolutely worn out and fell asleep quite quickly then woke in the night and could'nt go off to sleep again. Oh turned over and gave me a lovely cosy cuddle but still I just lay there. I did drop off in the end but he had got up by then so I turned over and must have gone off to sleep soon after. Anyway I am up now and taken the turkey crown out of the fridge where its been all night and popped it back in the micro to carry on defrosting.
Must find out what time the shop opens today as I think it may just be 10 till 12.

No shopping here today! OH went to the village shop yesterday afternoon to get the final odds and ends. Today we're cleaning the field and then OH is making a kissing bunch to hang from the beam! He'll then make a small bunch to hang on Merlins stable door, and tonight before we go to bed we shall go out, along with Cas, with a couple of treats for him to wish him a Happy Christmas! He'll wonder what we're up to, but we do it every year as it makes us feel that he's included in the christmas story. The children will bring him a present on Boxing Day too, so he's getting extra attention this year! Not a bad day here, the wind has dropped quite a bit and it's dry! Daughter's on the phone so better go and have a chat!!

Morning all
Very windy here today. OH's just been out and said there are a lot of National Grid vans in the village. We have still got our electric but maybe other's haven't.
OH is fixing our fence at the moment as it got blown around last night and is loose at the top now, he doesn't want the whole thing to come down.
We didn't go for the meal yesterday with my mum and sister as I forgot that OH was going to get his hair cut straight after having his dressing done and he was also picking up some Christmas presents for Sandra off her friend, who happens to work with him. Because I didn't know how long he was going to be and it was getting on for 1pm I rang mum and suggested that she just took my sister rather than wait for us. She said she would treat us three after Christmas. My mum and sister called in to see us after they'd eaten and mum had bought us a lovely basket of plants, there are 12 plants in total, all house plants by the looks of them. I spent ages last night trying to find out all the names of them so I can care for them better. I managed to find most of them apart from two. One looks like a conifer flower if that makes sense? It looks like little conifer leaves in the shape of a big flower, it's dark green with lime green tips and the other plant has small stems with large long leaves on it that look like fingers. I laughed at that one saying to OH it looked like ET's hands with the long finger in the middle, but could I find it on the internet... not a chance. Because there are 12 plants in the basket they are a bit cramped together so I'm going to replant them all so they don't choke each other with their roots.
I haven't caught up with the posts yet, will do that later as I have quiches and sausage rolls to make with Sandra. Hope everyone is okay BBL

My neighbours from 2 doord down are coming up shortly for a drinkie poo and some finger food.Just Sausage Rolls, mini Quiche etc.
What a shame you didn't manage to go for the meal yesterday Gill. But it will be nice for you all to go out with your Mum after Christmas. Thank goodness you still have the electric. It dose sound though from what you say that others might have been so lucky.
Merlin is going to be spoilt rotten LOL :-D :-D. We are daft when it comes to our pets aren't we :-D..But it is nice.
Mandy I think tomorrow we are going to have a Potato ,Chorizo and Pepper Hash thing with eggs on top.. Sounds weird but it looks good in the picture.

Morning everyone
Jane that is strange the photos etc of Ruby aren't getting through to you when Paul gets here later I will see if he has received the one I sent him at the same time as your first one. When I checked my sent box they were on there perhaps you could send me your email address again just to make sure. Maybe it could be third time lucky :-) :-) :-).
Abbie has now gone down with this cold that is going about so that could be the reason she went to bed early yesterday evening. Becky still has the cough that seem to hang on after the cold.
I hope Hannah is feeling well enough to enjoy her buffet meal later with her friends
Gill you now have a meal to look forward to after Christmas with your Mum I hope Sandra wasn't too disappointed that you didn't go yesterday, she must be feeling very excited with only one more sleep to go.
The ham is cooking in the oven and must check it to see if it's ready to come out yet, it is smelling really appetising. Earlier on I got the vegetables ready for tomorrow and they are now in the fridge, I managed to get" sprout trees " so it took me a little longer to do them.
Merlin will be looking nice and festive Liz with his stable decorated I would love to see a picture of him and Caz with her presents.

Morning to all my friends and love to Ruby and Kim,
Blooming flowers never arrived yesterday, I spent most of the afternoon blasting off Emails to the Company and Royal Mail.
Better morning here today. Going out to get the Turkey now will finish this later.
1.30 pm.Here we go again, had to cue for an hour at the Garden Centre BUTCHERS. It was bitter cold in the wind. My knee has almost doubled in size, and I could not get warm. I didn't want to wait in the car as I wanted to pay for theTurkey, Pork, sausages, and bacon also we bought some goose fat for the roasties.
Conrad and Jan decided that we would all meet up for lunch in Torquay. When we got back here Ros had had the flower delivery, and was ready to go out. I decided to stay at home and rest up.
I didn't think much to the flowers for the price I had to pay, but there again it's Christmas Prices.
Jane, I know how you like your wine. With the flowers there is a £60.00 voucher for a dozen bottles. Would you like it ??? It has to be claimed within 30 days. If you get Chris to go to www.nakedwines.com/prestige. QUOTE Code PRGF 5 then enter password ASP32XYN you can get the £60.00 off a case of wine priced at £99.00 or more P & P only £4.99. I hope you enjoy it " HAPPY CHRISTMAS"
I am going to put my leg up now and try to get FORTY WINKS while everywhere is quiet.
See you later.
