Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 24 Dec 2016 14:51

Just going to wash up and then make my mince pies and see how I go and I may make more sausage rolls or leave it till Monday when there's not much cooking to be done.

When I delivered the eggs this morning the boys were so excited and showed me their dressing up clothes. Sam explained that he could'nt put the trousers on of his Buz Lightyear suit as they were much too big for him but he put the top on and rushed about. George had a costume from the new Star Trek movie, I think it was one of those robot type men all dressed in white. I am not up with all these new films so not sure. Their dad was still putting up Christmas lights on the trees outside the bungalow.

Was given my two mince pies at the shop and they had sold everything I took up there so thats a nice little sum to put in the bank after Christmas.

Still don't like these new fivers!!!!!!!!!! They seem uncontrolable when you try to fold them to get them in your purse quickly. They must be awful for anyone who is blind and handles money.

O what a wobbly little Ruby but is'nt she just adorable? I can only open one video and my pc won't open the other as it suspects a virus.

Afternoon All,

I got the video, thanks for sending it on Jane. What a sweet little pup, a bit wobbly but already moving about quite strongly. I like her little red collar. Couldn't open the photo as it's another GIF one.

Oh Frank, what a wait for you in the queue. My knees would be hurting after that long.....yes you rest up for a while.

I like the idea of Merlin having a festive stable Liz. I remember visiting my ponies with carrots on Christmas Day.

We are virtually all ready now, gammon's cooked, veg all done, the hoover and duster have been round. I just need to get the turkey in the tin later and do a table decoration adding some bits from the garden.

OH's turntable hasn't arrived yet but it's supposed to arrive today!! I have a feeling he won't get it till after Christmas now. :-S Still, there's time yet.

Mel, you have been busy in the kitchen. How many sausage rolls and mince pies do you do? OH can eat 3-4 just as a snack.

They are back home now, loaded down with more shopping, where we are going to put it all I don't know.

Jan's other daughter Kerry and partner Mark are on their way down, with Alexander. They are staying with Jo and Ella, and will come over here at about mid day tomorrow, so will give us a chance to get sorted.

Jan and Conrad have to pop and see Jan's dad a little later. They will pick up a takeaway for this evening to save cooking.

Will try to pop in in the morning, but if not "A VERRY HAPPY CHRISTMAS' to you all and your families.

Well, we're all ready bar the shouting!! We've only got the buffet on Monday to produce, and that doesn't involve any cooking apart from the rice for the rice salad, and some sausages which I shall do tomorrow morning before we go out. We've plenty of mince pies, some home made, the others bought! bananas, cream, and ice cream!
I'm signing out now till after the New Year as we have visitors planned and have been invited out and about too,, so Happy Christmas to one and all.

Afternoon all,

Its been quite a dull day here but it doesnt seem that cold out .

I just get a black screen when i try to see Ruby ,i don't know why .

We popped out to sons this morning the little ones were tracking Santa ,he had got to New Zealand ,it was also telling them how many presents he had delivered.
Son rang to say could i take them a carrot , as they are out for a few days they didn't bother we get much veg in and they didn't have a carrot for Santa's reindeer LOL

Oh Liz i love the sound of the kissing bunch , is that with Mistletoe? We use to always have the Mistletoe hanging up at christmas.

Merry Christmas to you Frank , hope you all have a lovely day .

Jacket spuds for us tonight nice and easy

Thanks Frank for the offer of the Wine Voucher, but I wlll have to decline that. We have enough wine here in the rack and in a couple of boxes in the garage .

Ann we had a parcel arrive at 10pm last night !! from Amazon. I had gone to bed .I had been tracking it and thought maybe because of the dreadful weather that it wouldn't arrive until today. So maybe you might just have a very late delivery tonight. :-D

I like the new £5 notes :-D

Looks like Frank and Liz can't open any pics of Ruby :-(

magpie Report 24 Dec 2016 16:54

Just a final note!! Yes Mandy the kissing bunch certainly has mistletoe ;-) It's a raffia ring and each year OH decorates it with holly, ivy, mistletoe, together with baubles and silver strings. He hangs it from the beam under the lights, where you can grab a kiss from someone, a grandson for example!! if you want one!!! We always had one at home in the hallway which my parents put up every year, and we've kept up the tradition!
Merlin will only get a titbit this evening just to say Happy Christmas! As for Cas, I'm afraid she hasn't any presents! She's got so many toys, and we don't allow her to have any chews or that sort of thing. She'll just get her weekly bone!
I don't like or dislike the new fivers! I can't see any problem is with them one way or the other!!
:-S

I hope I hav'nt missed wishing a lot of you a Very Merry and Joyfull Christmas and for those not coming on here for a week A Happy New Year. Love to All <3 <3 <3

I have done 26 sausge rolls and 24 mince pies and I think one may have been filched already while I was closing the chickens in. Its those blimmin fairies, I know, the one with the big fat tummy and I don't mean me!!!

Ann yes oh would have about 4 at a time too.

Annx

Annx Report 24 Dec 2016 18:45

That sounds very decorative Liz and you are lucky Ian is artistic.........gawd knows what my hubby would produce!! lol.

Still no parcel here so OH is staying dressed for now. Usually he is in his dressing gown by now if he's staying in. I had a panic when I wrote his Christmas cards earlier........NO ENVELOPE with one!!! The card has a red border so I must have thought that was it's envelope tucked inside when I picked it up. I've managed to find another envelope that fits it, but that's another card without an envelope now! :-S

Fancy the children being able to track Santa these days Mandy.......how times move on. I bet they were all excited and ready for tomorrow. I wonder what Nicko will be doing tomorrow and whether Santa will have anything for him? I hope his family at least let him join them for lunch or do him a nice lunch.

I popped out at about teatime to a local shop and was amazed how busy they were with people still buying christmas cakes and biscuits etc. Also the queue at the cash machine.

OH says Dad's Army is on soon, so I'll go and watch that with him and see if I can finish off my snowflake bracelet. :-) :-)

<3 <3Merry Christmas to you All. <3 <3

P.S. That kind of filching goes on here too Mel. ;-) ;-) :-)

Frank

Frank Report 25 Dec 2016 10:21

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU ANS YOUR FAMILIES.

All up and I'm showered and shaved. New trousers and shirt on for the day.

Dull here also Mel, but with all the family around and coming, the day's weather won't bother me.

Ros has been like a delivery man. There is a room where all the presents have been stored. She has been back and forward putting them under the tree.

Jan has been up since GAWD knows when. She has decorated the kitchen table for breakfast (Not that I need any) Christmas lights round the old Victorian fireplace, It's looks great.

All the veg done and Turkey in the oven. All I have to do is sit back and do nothing.

HAVE A GREAT DAY xxxx

Dull here to and very windy with it.

<3 <3 MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE <3 <3

Sandra had us tracking Santa last night and he didn't arrive in the UK until almost 2am, so we've not long woken up. Mum will be here soon then we'll all open our presents together.

Hope everyone has a great day and Santa was kind to you.
