Morning all
Sunny here today and the wind has finally stopped.
Nice to hear from you David, did you have a good Christmas?
So it's Christmas day again at yours today Jane, enjoy your Turkey. All ours has gone now I made a sweet and sour turkey last night which went down a treat.
Has the bracelet turned up yet Frank? I hope you find it soon.
Nothing much planned for today, the Beechams worked yesterday and I'm feeling much better today, no more shivers and my throat isn't as bad either. I seem to have an annoying cough though, but hopefully that'll go soon too.
I'm going to sort out the front bedroom as everything seems to have been put in there over the last few days, OH and Sandra are going to help so it shouldn't take to long. See you all later.

Afternoon All,
HAPPY CHRISTMAS to David and Ellen. Hope you are having a nice time.
Nice and sunny here and OH has gone up north to another match. We went out and had scrambled eggs and bacon before he set off. :-) I can't decide now whether to stay in or go out so I'm having a COT first.
I hope the bracelet has turned up Frank. Ros must be so upset at losing it. If not, might it be in the baby's things if she was holding the baby or might it be in JJ's bed? I suppose you have but did you check the rubbish bins?
Another disaaaster in the kitchen last night. I set some potatoes to cook in the steamer, then came in here on the pooter and brought a timer in here. Went and checked the pots which needed another 5 mins or so but left the timer in the kitchen and didn't hear it go off. By the time I remembered, the pots looked alright but were inedible wit h the smoked smell and looking in the pan underneath was like looking up a chimney it was that black!!!! I put the pan in the dishwasher and ran it through that last night but it's not touched it. It needs a pickaxe I think!! :-) :-S :-0
Glad you feel a bit better today Gill. Maybe you are on the mend now. It's good your hubby's wound is healing well too and that he will soon be fit to go back to work.
Mandy I was going to start the snowy jigsaw last night, but finished a bracelet instead and then started making a lariat style necklace I've had the beads for for ages! Maybe tonight's the night for it!
Jane will be beavering away now, but at least she won't have the Turkey to do having done it yesterday.
Mel you do have some lovely colourful fish. They must have grown a lot since you bought them. Did you get any more baby goldfish this year?

Afternoon all, Nice to hear from you David.
No luck with the bracelet. She's is now wondering if it came off in our drive, while packing the car. She and Jan have searched the car here today, Still no luck. We will have to put it out of our minds till we get home. Then if nothing a clam to the insurance Co.
I haven't opened my Emails yet, will do that later. We are off out at 3.15 to a relative of Jan's, The family do a walk every year, and we have been invited to a Buffet that starts at 4.00 pm.
Pleased you all had a good Christmas, with lots of pressies and wonderful food. The fridge here still seems to have lots and lots of food in it.
Enjoy your Family get together Jane, and DO NOT HAVE TOO MUCH WINE, while cooking the dinner, we don't want burnt offerings, DO WE ;-) ;-) ;-)
I had better go and get a jumper on, and get myself sorted, or they will be chasing me up.
Have a good day (what's remaining) I might try to get back tonight.

So was she wearing the bracelet when you set off on the drive to Devon? You could ring Tony to see if its still on the drive.

Sorry to hear Ros's bracelet is still lost Frank. At least you can claim on the insurance and buy her another one if needs be. If it was dropped by the car on your drive let's hope one of your neighbours has found it and it's there for her when you go home. So you're off out today for a buffet, that sounds nice. Enjoy yourself :-)
How did your Christmas dinner go Jane, hope you all had a nice time? Did Thomas get a bowl of Turkey?
It sounds like you might have to throw your steamer away if you're going to need a pickaxe to clean it Ann. It might be easier just to buy a new one. I remember the handle on one of my pans being over the gas flame and the smell lingered for ages afterwards. That's the problem with those types of smells isn't it? Have you started your snow puzzle yet? I'd love to see a picture of it when it's finished and of the bracelet and necklace you've made too.
I've been helping Sandra sort out some of her stuff as she had lots of things she doesn't use much anymore and needed to make space for all her Christmas presents. We've boxed up a few things for her and OH is going to pop them in the loft for safe keeping. Now she has some room to put her Christmas things away. I still haven't sorted out the front bedroom..... that'll have to wait for another day, as Sandra and I want to watch the Christmas strictly I recorded and it'll be dark soon.
Off to get a cuppa now, see you all later.

Evening All
Well we can finally sit down. James has just taken Hannah and Gareth to a friends Birthday bash.(they will get a taxi home ,probably in the early hours)
Christmas dinner went down a treat..But I always find by the time it is all plated up it has cooled off . Big extra jug of HOT gravy sorts that out :-D.. We had a pack of really cheesy Christmas Jokes .Then had more Cluedo.Gareth had never played that one before. He gave us a lovley present. A wooden tea light holder, that his Dad made.It really is beautiful. I asked if his Dad did a lot of Woodwork....He only made a table for 8 for a friend !!! He must be darned good.!!!!
Oh Frank,I am sorry Ros's bracelet still hasn't appeared. Maybe as you say it might have just fallen off when maybe packing up the car.It would be a real shame if it didn't turn up.
I am pleased you feel so much better today Gill. Leave that sorting out the room until you are really back to rights.I am sure it can wait a while.
Oops Ann,bit of a disaster in the kitchen then :-S :-S.. I often don't hear my pinger go off on the oven when I am in the lounge and the TV on.Many a time I have just caught something just as it is about to burn or a pan completely dry out.
Hello David.I just spotted your post...Hope you have had a good Christmas and I really hope that 2017 will be a better year for you. Any further on with getting a car??
I think I am going to go and put my feet up for a while. They are throbbing :-S
Now what are we going to eat tomorrow?? I get so fed up with thinking about meals. Thomas has a meal outside just now.I was just going out to the bin and he was chasing a mouse around the patio. We have pinched next doors black bin for some of our rubbish as we have sooooo much this week. They are in Australia for a month . Chris said their bin was half full!! Why on earth did they not ask us to put it out :-S It would be minging after a month !!
Janice and Larry are coming up on Thursday :-D :-D

Morning all
Frosty and really cold here today, it looks very wintery out there.
It sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday Jane. You're right, by the time you've plated up everything is does cool down quite a bit......thank goodness for gravy LOL It'll be nice to see Janice and Larry on Thursday, that'll be something to look forward to. It sounds like Gareth's dad is a good carpenter, what a nice gift he gave you.
OH has been to have his dressing done this morning and at long last he can finally have a nice soak in a hot bath. He's got a doctors appointment in half an hour as the nurse took a look at his throat and thinks he might have tonsillitis so he'll need some antibiotics. I do feel sorry for him, he's had so much to deal with lately. He's seeing the surgeon tomorrow too.
I've just had a phone call off my mum and my cousin, who I haven't seen for almost 30 years, is visiting mum this afternoon. My aunt and uncle and sister are going to her's too, plus us three so it'll be a house full. Apparently he wants to get to know the family again, I don't know why he disappeared for so long, but it'll be nice to see him again. We still don't know where his brother is though........ I do have a funny family :-S :-S

Morning all,
Frosty here too this morning but the suns shining now. Just been up the shop for some ciggies for oh and bought myself a brown loaf and also washing up liquid, not for me but I thought we could get through with what we had and we could'nt really so I had to get the green Fairy which I don't really like. I like the lemon one as it dos'nt make me sneeze.
The part for my pc came this morning and oh fitted it for me and now my pc is nice and quiet again with NO huffing and puffing.
Jane can we have a pic of the candle holder Gareth's dad made please?
There were so many people going in the doctors this morning when I went down the village. Oh said it must have to do with over indulgence!!!!!
Did some work on my family tree yesterday as the girls and guys on Find Ancestors helped. I have two women called Izitte on my tree, mother and daughter and you should have seen some of the names they were transcribed by. I had Pyette, Fnette, just to name a couple.
Have to sort something out for lunch now.

Afternoon all,
Very frosty when we got up and then all of a sudden when i looked out it was foggy .
Sounds as if you had a nice day yesterday Jane and that was a nice of Gareth to give you the wooden tea light holder made by his dad . It is a job to keep everything hot while dishing up ,i try and have nice hot plates but i carn't do that with the plates for the children but as you say the hot gravy helps.
So you'll have a bit of catching up to do with your cousin this afternoon Gill , i think we all have people like that in our families ,Colin has a nephew who moved to London he would make an appearance now and then mainly to get money from his parents and then he would be gone again , he worked at heathrow airport but must be retired by now if he is still with us ,he never even came home when his parents died.
Where's our Mel ? perhaps her OH is putting the part on her computer.
Well better sort some lunch now, we're still eating the cold meats up so it will be beef sandwiches i think .

Afternoon all, I am in the DOG HOUSE, the buffet started at 4.00 pm and went on and on till well passed 9.00 pm, The host is the governour (sp) of Exeter Prison. What a job he has, I wouldn't want it for all the tea in China. Anyway the drinks flowed all afternoon and evening, each time I looked at my glass it had been refilled. So by the time we were ready to leave Frankie boy was a bit tipsy. Ros got me out of the car and straight into bed. I woke once in the night for the toilet and slept until 8.30. Ros got up, put on her dressing gown and went to the kitchen to have breakfast. I made myself tea and took my tablets. after showering and dressing, I went out for a walk 10.00 am. I walked the full length on the sea front and back again, must have been over two miles. I was sitting in a shelter having a rest, when Conrad pulled up. They have gone shopping, and had to find me to give me a key. I have been through the pain barrier two or three times this morning, so hopfully the knee is starting to settle down at last. I will know tomorrow when I try the walk again.
I as usual haven't read the post, but assume you all had a very nice Christmas with the families.
No Idea what we are having for dinner tonight, WAIT AND SEE.
Still no sign of the bracelet.

No nearer Jane, it's new leg or knee I want, I fear that's not going to happen. My tibia was in part destroyed by sepsis. Consultant orthopaedic surgeon said "no more surgery" that was three years ago.
