Afternoon all
Good luck Frank, hope you find the bracelet. Maybe you could ask the neighbours first if anyone found it, that would save you looking for it around the bungalow. Pleased to hear you had a safe journey home. We don't have any frost here today either. It's very cloudy like yesterday but with a bit of a nip in the air.
How is James today Jane, hope he wasn't to bad when he got in from work? Did you have a better nights sleep last night? No more ironing in the middle of the night I hope? ;-) ;-)
I loved the reflections pics too Ann, the one of the bridge looked like a complete circle and like Mandy said, a tunnel :-)
I finally got my Christmas card and present off my friend in Australia today, it made it just in time as there's only one more day to 12th night left and the poor card wouldn't of been able to be put up. The picture is of a beach scene, I still can't get used to Australia having Christmas in the summer :-S :-S Sandra would definitely get no snow at Christmas if we lived there :-(

Afternoon all ,
Lovely bright day here but very cold . Colin had his hospital appointment with the surgeon this morning ,he was very pleased with how Colin is doing and wants to see him in six months . We got held up in traffic on the way because of an accident ,a car had ploughed into a tree ,there was a young woman sitting on the side of the road with another woman holding her neck and head so she couldn't move it ,the ambulance pulled up but there was no police so i think it had only just happened, when we came home the car was still on the side of the road with the police tape all round it.
Glad you got home safely Frank ,poor Ros does well to do a journey like that , good luck with the bracelet hunt i hope you find it.

No LUCK with the Bracelet, so I will put a claim in to the insurance Co. (up goes my Premium)
Just been looking on FB and found my Son Simon's NEW WIFE. I have asked her to remind him he still has a FATHER That will get no action whatsoever, but at least he knows I am still alive
Ros has gone of to Tesco with the list of what we want.

O Frank I wonder where that bracelet is? Perhaps its in some little girls secret box where she puts things she finds. Did any of you have a thing like this? I did, it was a pink box with small white spots that had had soap and bath salts in that I had one Christmas. The top opened upwards where there was a nice space and then it had two draws under that. I kept my favourite gems stones in there in a plastic tube container that had had glitter in it I think. I still have it somewhere. Can't remember wha\t else was in there now after so many years have gone by.

Meant to say I have just downloaded my new camera on my own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Without any help at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I plugged it in my pc to charge the battery and went and corned the chickens and when I came in all the pics I had takekn over the last two day were on the screen saying unsaved pictures. They were still on the camera so I clicked on something and had three options of which I picked one and hey presto I had done it. :-D :-D :-D :-D
Now its nearly dark and I have to go and shut the girls in and not feeding the hogs anymore as oh tells me the birds are eating the food in the early hours. I hav'nt seen any hogs for about three nights now.

Been a busy old day here generally clearing up. OH took Cas with him today so she's now worn out. Talked to daughter this morning, girls back at school, little boy has a nasty cold and is feeling generally out of sorts! First day back to school?!!!! That's the problem with making an insurance claim Frank, it sends the next premium sky high! Lamb chops, leeks and smash potatoes for supper, nice and easy. We must go shopping either tomorrow or Friday, first time since the Tuesday before Xmas!!!!

Evening All,
We are both shattered now having taken all the decs down, put them all back in the loft and hoovered all the bits and glitter up, emptied the hoover and got straight again......phew!! OH has a migraine coming on now so has gone for a lie down. We did break off to go and have a pub lunch at Lutterworth. It wasn't all that busy, but 2 men came in and sat nearby and proceeded to have a conference call with an american lady. They had the volume turned right up so you could hear all of the very loud conversation between them and other diners kept looking to see where the noise was from. They seemed oblivious to the fact they were in a restaurant, not an office, and where people wanted a leisurely lunch and chat! We left soon after as we couldn't hold a conversation anymore, it was so intrusive. OH spoke to a member of the bar staff on the way out and they agreed they do not really allow conferences, so OH said perhaps she'd have a word with them then as they didn't seem to know. Then the silly woman said 'no problem' in the silly way they do these days. OH rounded at that and quickly said, 'oh yes there is a problem if your customers are walking out.' I don't mind what people do as long as they aren't noisy and disturbing other's enjoyment and I have sat in pubs with my laptop doing work at lunchtime between my visits myself. They even do staff appraisals from the offices opposite in our Sainsbury's cafe, but they do them quietly.
Afterwards we had a look around the factory shop where I bought some slippers with cat faces on for £5 and OH got some joggers and a fleece for lounging at home in. :-)
Well done with your camera Mel........there will be nothing to hold you up from downloading your pics now! You asked about my camera and it is a Panasonic Lumix, the 4th one of that make that I've had and no I don't have one of those Monopods. Do you have to stick it in the ground? That could be difficult on rocky ground. I have sent off for a spare battery today, then I am all set up.
We saw 2 police cars, an ambulance and incident tape at a KFC on the way into the city yesterday. Tonight's paper said a man had been found with neck injuries and taken to hospital. That was at 9.00am so he must have had a cold night outside unless it happened in the morning.
I recorded Silent Witness too Liz and will probably watch it tonight.
It is a shame about the bracelet Frank. You'd think it would have turned up by now. Yes, no doubt you will get a hike on your insurance after claiming. :-S
Still not heard anything from Tesco about OH's turntable, yet they said last Friday that they would ring me the following day! I notice on other websites the one he wants seems to be out of stock so who got the one I ordered and paid for I wonder??
It's getting really chilly here tonight and I think a good frost is forecast.

Ann the monopod dos'nt stick in the ground it just rests on the ground. It has a metal pointy thing on the bottom. Oh got it from Amazon and said it was only £13 and the swicel for the top was £6.75 I think. He showed it to me on his pc before he ordered it while I stood there. My glasses don't really see well on his pc as he has such small writing on it and its not easy to read with variafocals.
I think this is the one I have. It is only a basic one. AmazonBasics 67-Inch Monopod

Morning all
Frosty here today and really cold too.
Pleased to hear Colin's appointment went well with the surgeon yesterday Mandy. Hope the young woman is okay after the car accident. Was it ice on the road that caused it?
Sorry to hear you never found the bracelet Frank, good job you had it insured. Hopefully Ros will have a replacement very soon :-) Let's hope they don't put the premiums up to much. Sometimes it doesn't go up if you haven't made a claim for a while. I thought ours would go up when we had the drains done but it stayed the same.
You did well downloading your camera Mel. Can't wait to see more pictures when you have them. We haven't taken the decs down yet, but you're right it does look bare once they're down. I don't think it will look to bare in our bungalow this year as we didn't put much up. I will miss our little tree though and I'm sure Sandra will miss her's too.
Sorry to hear your little boy has a cold Liz, hope he feels better soon. So all the children are back in school now, it'll soon be Easter then they'll be off again.
Oh Ann, I hope your OH didn't get a migraine in the end, I've had a few of them lately and they're no joke. How rude of the 2 men having their conference call so loud in a public place when people are trying to have a quiet meal. Not another accident, hope the man is okay now.
Going to get a cuppa, then make a start on taking all the decs down.

I still have the tree to strip Gill. Oh can then take it back outside. If it grows anymore this year it won't be able to go on the old telly stand as its now only 6 inches from the ceiling.
Thanks to Frank for the email.
Going to get something to eat now as I hav'nt taken my pills yet.

Morning everyone, Evening Kim.
Great NEWS. Jan went into our "Apartment" to change the bed and hoover round. She took off the bottom fitted sheet and found the BRACELET on the bed frame.. It must have come off in th night and got lodged down there. I have rung the Insurance Company to inform them and cancel the claim.
Thanks Mel, I HAVEN'T TAKEN MINE YET.All taken now. !!!
Very frosty here this morning, I had to do Ros's windscreen before she could go to "Stitchery Do" She has taken a Box of Chocolate Biscuits for the girls today, as we have so many things to eat.
Another FIRST. John my Nephew rang me last night. A relative had bumped into my sister Mary. We haven't spoke for over FOURTY YEARS. She asked that someone pass on her Telephone number on to me. Which he did, so I rang her. I said"SURPRISE, SURPRISE. and a HAPPY NEW YEAR. She replied "HALLO FRANK" I couldn't believe she would know my voice after so long. Here's another twist. SIMON my son had rung her only ten minutes before me, The first time she has ever had a PHONE CALL from him.
I started eating chocolates last night, they have given me an upset tummy, so that's the last for me. !!!
I still haven't eaten today, so will go and get some toast and coffee.

Oh that's good Frank. It's surprising where things turn up especially when they seem to be permanently lost!! We're having the rest of the soup today, it's done really well, but that'll be it till I make some more stock from this weekends chicken! Lovely day here so we've been outside most of the morning. OH has just put the news on - time for lunch!,

Ros is back home now and has started on taking down the outside lights. We will get all the box's in from the garage tomorrow. She will then dismantle the tree and put away all the decorations. She will then make a list of all the Christmas cards, so she won't forget who sent next year.
I am having a lazy day, doing nothing in particular. I did get myself a nice ham sandwich and a coffee for lunch. Tonight I think Ros has bought a couple of Tesco "Finest" ready meals, so no cooking for me again.
I have washed all the towels today as per Ros's instructions (she showed me what to do after I had showered) They are in the TD. I will check on them now to see if they need any longer. That will be my job for the day !!!!

Afternoon all,
Oh that is good news Frank you must both be so pleased it's turned up and how nice it must have been to hear from your sister after all these years , what a lovely start to the new year for you, lets hope you hear from your son too that would be the icing on the cake .
Very frosty here first thing, we nipped to see son and the road was very slippery i felt the car slip when we went round a bend in the road so we decided not to go to the farm and get eggs today as its all bendy back roads to the farm.
More photos from Mel ,lovely one of the two deers in the garden.
Where's Jane ? I hope she hasn't got the lurgy from James .

How wonderful Frank, I'm so pleased with all your good news. I bet Ros is pleased the bracelet has finally been found. How will she get it back, I wouldn't trust the post, it might be better to get it off Jan in person, just to be on the safe side. I hope the bracelet wasn't damaged if Ros caught it on the bedframe.
I don't blame you for not going to the farm for your eggs today Mandy if the roads are that slippery. It's not worth taking the risk is it?
So you'll be making some more soup next week then Liz, I bet your OH is pleased he got you that card now LOL ;-) Pleased to hear your little boy is on the mend and can go back to school on Monday, he'll be missing his friends.
Well, that's all my decorations and cards down now plus the two Christmas tree's. Everything is now boxed up and put away. How are you getting on with your tree Mel, have you done it yet. It sounds a large tree, maybe you could find something a bit lower to put it on next time so you can still have it indoors. I love the pics you sent especially the deer's they look quite content there don't they?
Off to get something to eat now, I've been so busy I didn't realise the time and I'm really hungry now.
