Good morning to you all, Evening Kim,
I see I wasn't missed yesterday :-( :-( :-( Just never got round to going on line.
Had a call from my Sister yesterday. She is home from hospital, but not in a good way. Very little movement on her left hand side, and her speech seems a bit slurred. Her son Paul had been round and cooked her an evening meal. He lives just round the corner. My niece rang this morning Fan's daughter (SUSAN) she has been to Mary's this morning and done some housework. One of her daughters are going round today to wash her hair. So the family seem to be looking after her.
Like some of you, I am not sleeping as well as I might. I was in bed by 11.00 last night and up again by 1,00 Went back about 3.30. and slept till 7.00.
Dos did all the Vegetables for dinner yesterday, so save me a job. Dinner was lovely as usual. We sat and watched that chap who went to see the birds of paradise. What a journey, and his companion was such a great guy. We watched KARMA HOSPITAL last night. Not sure it's something I can watch for EIGHT WEEKS. :-| :-| :-|
Heavy frost last night, this morning is very calm and cold. So who knows winter might still have a bite in it's tail.
Poor old Fitz, Is it down to anything in particular or just something that has happened.
Tesco are being very helpful in sorting out my RAC membership. They have confirmed that the transaction hasn't gone through, and our vouchers are safe. The girl is going to complete the membership from her end, and confirm when it's complete.
Heard from Carolyn this morning. One of her neighbours in Tenerife has passed away yesterday, Her family are there now, and sorting out the funeral arrangements. She said it's something else she will learn about Spanish burials. lol (what a subject)
No news at this end, not going out any where, so Paper and Tele for me this afternoon. Still struggling with the use of my glass's.
Not long to wait now Anne <3 <3 <3 <3

Been busy this morning scrubbing chicken drinkers and I have washed my bird feeder that hold the sunflower kernals as they get very oily from the seed. Also did a load of hedgehog bowls so they are ready for the off when they wake up and start coming for their food again. Shall store those in the shed now.
Scrubbed the sink then bowl and drainer which I hate doing with all its wire rungs and it dos'nt really fit in the sink to rinse it.
Of course we missed you Frank we just did'nt like to say anything. <3 <3
I think I will boil a few eggs for lunch as I hav'nt anything else to put in his wraps which means I can have a fishing sandwich which I have missed over the last months as they hav'nt been laying much.

Sorry to hear about your sister Frank, at least the family are rallying around, which is good. There maybe some improvement in time, you never know, so don't give up hope <3 What a subject Spanish burials, still sad though. Good news about your RAC membership, that was nice of the girl to sort it out her end. Did she say why the transaction hadn't gone through? Hopefully you won't need the RAC until it's sorted. I missed you, I wasn't on my laptop much yesterday as I was reading a book most of the day.
You've been busy today Mel.
I've got my conditioner on my hair now, but boy am I bored so I decided to sort out a cupboard and found two laptops I forgot I had. I tried switching one on and have forgotten the password, I tried to reset it but didn't have the disc to do it and I haven't got a clue where that might be. It took ages to come on and shut down so I'll just get rid of it. I'm going to try the next one now. The laptop I use at the moment isn't compatible with my printer so I'm hoping the second laptop I try will work as I think my printer is on that one.......fingers crossed I don't have a problem with the password again.
Going to run another bath shortly to rinse the condition off my hair, I'll also have a nice soak too as my neck and back are sore with leaning over the bath rinsing the colouring off. I'm starting to feel my age now LOL ;-) ;-)

Frank,I realised this morning that you hadn't posted yesterday :-D..I think there are somedays when we just are either too busy or maybe just not feeling like chatting that we can miss a day.I alway start to worry if someone hasn't posted for a couple of days.
Gill,it must be quite exhausting doing your hair when you colour it. I used t ohave to wash my hair over the bath years ago, with the rubber spray stuck on the taps.So back aching !!!,and my hair wasn't long like yours.
Mel I bet you can't wait to get the new dish now and then have no interupted programmes. I need to watch Apple Tree Yard again as I nodded off right near the end :-S :-S.At least with Catch Up I can forward it to the bit where I need to see again. I watched Good Karma Hospital this morning and quite enjoyed it.I think it is one that will grow on me.
I am so cross with myself... I have had some toenails affected by fungus(sorry anyone eating),for years.I have without thinking for ages been using the same nail clippers for my fingers, and now have noticed 3 finger nails beginning to show signs :-0. I have been and bought various treatments today. One (Curanail ) can only be used on 2 nails !!!! ..So I bought a Scholl one to.Chris says they have different chemicals so I should be ok to use the two different ones. I felt like crying when I noticed my fingernails as I have always had really nice ones.So it will mean no nailvarnish for a long while. (boohoo !)
Hannah has just rung. She has had a 4 hour presentation of her PhD today. She said it was soooooooo stressful .But she has passed and just has a few alterations to make. She has a banging headache now.( I am not surprised ).S. Gareth has just met her to take her out for dinner. So I think Hannah is now the next Dr Rose LOL but not officially until her graduation,in the summer. We are so blooming proud . I think when we see her on Saturday when we go to London for the Theatre there might hace to be a bottle of Bubbly with our meal :-D :-D
Frank,Fitz's swollen fingers are to do with Arthritis.

Surprise, Evening All.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAS" I remember when my dogs were that age. I am so pleased that you enjoy having her Liz, as you say difficult to replace a loved pet xxxx
Gill Is your hair long like Mel's. My mum had hair down to her BUM. She would plait it and roll it up into a BUN on the back of her head. But as she got older she had it cut short. One of my SILs had her hair, and made a BUN above her forehead. I was always attracted to looking at it, up until I last saw her before she died.
Jane I have Arthritis in a couple of my fingers, so hope it doesn't develop any further . Sorry to here about you fungus. I knew there was something about you LOL LOL. Only joking as you know I love you xxx Give my Congratulations to HANNAH. What a lot of hard work she has put into this over the years. She deserves the Dr. TWO in the family might be a bit much for you to deal with !!!!
I will give my sister a ring later. I said I will keep in touch. Hope the family continue to support her to ease the load from her son.
I bet you are glad you have all the HOGS dishes clean and ready for the off, when do they normally appear after their sleeps. ?? Won't be long now before you can let your girls out.
Had the left over beef in onions and gravy, with fresh Roasts and various veg, neither of us could eat it all, but I noticed Ros has had some Bread and butter pudding. Little piggy !!! NO I DIDN'T SAY THAT> !!!!

Congratulations to Hannah, Jane it's not easy to get a PHD and she must have worked very hard, no wonder you are so proud of her
So your hair is looking lovely again Gill I expect you are pleased to get it all finished, I always coloured my own hour until when it grew back after chemo now Mandy our hairdresser puts low lights on for me..
Frank your sister must be pleased to be home from hospital. it's lucky she is having plenty of support from Family lets hope she continues to improve being home may help her.
Jane what a pity about the fungi on your finger nails I never realised it was so contagious
Naomi my niece who has Bells Palsy, has just had a bout of gastro enteritis so bad she had to go to A&E now the poor girl has deep vein thrombosis, she is only 30 years old, Diane her Mum is spending 12 hours a day looking after her and her family.
I watched The Good Karma hospital and enjoyed it, will be interesting to see how it pans out.
Not long now Liz until you have your new dish and can watch your Favourite TV programmes again.
It's raining again it was frosty first thing and the sunrise was amazing pink to red streaks across the sky which I was seeing through the pine trees along the path at the bottom of the garden, it was shame Richard hadn't the time to take a photograph.
With Max coming up to one and Cas two and Ruby will soon be joining us, is anyone planning a puppy for next year? :-D :-D :-D

Evening All,
I wasn't missed yesterday either Frank! ;-)
Well done Hannah!! She's worked hard for it though hasn't she Jane and things have a way of turning out for the best. You and I are the same about raw meat!! I mean how can any parasite eggs be killed if it is raw in places? I like my lamb well done. I wouldn't eat sushi for the same reason.....eggs of parasites.
I had a fungal infection in one of my toenails as a teenager and it took a few years to clear it completely! I discovered mum had had it in her fingernails so thought that might have been where I got it from. I had to take tablets for a year or two in the end. They were called Ketaconazole and were later withdrawn as liver problems had occurred in some cases after long term use. It made part of the toenail thickened and crumbly but it looks fine now though so did no lasting damage to the nail.
Another bad night last night with no sleep before 4.00am! The dog nextdoor starts his barking at 7.00am, then it's tablet time at 8.00am, then the window cleaner arrived so not much chance to catch up so I have been 'zombie like' today. We went to a garden centre after lunch and I bought some cut and come again lettuce seeds and some art stuff from The Works. :-)
The rest of Apple Tree Yard is on tonight so I shall sit and finish a long necklace while I watch that. It's one I have designed myself to go with the bracelet we made last week. I just hope there is enough chain to finish it off or it will be a short one!
Sorry to hear your sister isn't so good Frank, but it sounds like folk are mucking in to help which is good.
Gill I coloured my hair many years ago and remember the palaver it was and how the colour would get all over the place if you weren't careful. Now I just get darker lowlights put in that don't need doing that often.
Fancy Cas being 2 already.....she's a teenager now! lol
We watched the Birds of Paradise prog and thought it was quite good but I hope we see more of the birds in the next episode.

Oh Anne your poor neice, she has been in a state hasn't she. I hope she soon feels better and can come home again.
Mel I hope the new dish fixes your problems. It gets maddening when you keep having problems. I took the card out of our skybox yesterday to get the number from it for when I ring hem. I was quite shocked as all the plastic where the chip is was brown and rippled as if it had got hot enough to nearly melt!!!! :-0 I kept thinking what if it had set on fire while we were out or away! OH is checking the cards in the other 2 boxes tomorrow so I can ask for new ones if they are similar. The cards the boxes are over 8 years old now from when we first had sky HD but I never realised that could happen. It's worth checking them from time to time folks!

I'm not having a new dish Anne, I think that's Mel! Mind you we may well need a new sky recorder soon! ours is eight years old and doesn't always record very well - sometimes it tends to jump and flicker, other times it's fine. OH will suddenly get fed up with it and order new one!!! Luckily we don't record that much, but it can be annoying at times! We've spent a lot of today speculating about the outcome of Apple tree yard! Not long to wait before all is revealed!! Have just checked our card Ann and its fine, but it's worth bearing in mind !!!

Ann that dos'nt sound good if the card looked as though it had gotten hot. I wonder if thats why the box is playing up?
Yes Anne its me having to have a new dish. Ours had one bracket rusted off so it was wobbling around in the wind. I hav'nt got that many channels to watch tonight but shall see Apple Tree Yard on iplayer and if I can't get it on the telly I shall watch it on the pc.
I once thought Ihad a fungal infection on my toenails so asked the doc who told me he did'nt think I had but to bring some clippings in to be tested which I did but I had not infection.

Hi all, If you are still up. Phoned my sister this evening, she's very depressed and can't stand any noise. I remember I was like that for a long time. I think it helped her knowing I have been though that period. She has commented on how bad tempered she is, when I said I am still the same after 13 years, she said oh GAWD will I be like this till i die. !!! She said she would like to come up and see me with her Son and DIL. I said if and when she wants to come I will cook her a beautiful SUNDAY DINNER.
I have been on the computer all evening what with the SOAPS and that HOTEL thingy. I am just finishing my beer then I will be off to bed.
I looked at my hair in th mirror this evening. I think I will have to think about hair colouring for what I have left. LOL LOL.
See you in the morning. It's peeing of rain here.

Just finished my hair, I'm shattered now, it's been a long day. Mind you I did curl it but when I brushed it, it went frizzy again so I've just straightened it again and now it looks much better.
My hair isn't quite as long as Mel's Frank but it's not far off, down to my waist, so it takes ages to colour it. I have to set a whole day to do it. I've been listening to lots of music today so the time has passed quite quickly. I didn't realise how late it was though. I wondered why I felt so tired ;-) ;-) ;-) I'm off to bed shortly. At least my hair doesn't need doing again for a few months now.
The second laptop worked okay apart from it being slow, I couldn't get online as when I tried to go online BT kept asking me for my password and user name so I could connect to my router, which didn't work. I've never been able to go onto my email off them and as for a password that's never worked either. I've tried ringing them about it but they were no help at all, so when the year is up in August I'll be switching to another provider, I'm only staying with BT because they are cheap for the first year, it will go up after the first year from around £23 a month to over £40 which is quite a lot. Luckily my old email account on AOL is still active so I just use that email address and use BT for the router to connect to the Internet and nothing else.
Well done to Hannah Jane, I bet you're so proud of her. Sorry to hear about the fungal infection in your finger nails, hope the medication works and you have your beautiful finger nails back. I'm the same as you, I fell asleep during Apple Tree Yard, luckily I recorded it so I will have to catch up from where I left off.
How awful Mandy having two men found dead, at least they have a man arrested for one of them, lets hope the other death is sorted out, do they know if that was a murder too? What is the country coming to? It's not safe to go anywhere any more.
Off to bed now I'm really tired, so with a bit of luck I'll sleep better tonight.
