Morning Gill and all,
Just about the same here I think, dull and the sky is a pale greyish yuk all over. Lets hope it brightens up a bit later on.
HW for me today too. I have spied a lot of cobwebs in the little loo down by the pipes and just under the windowsill. There are Janes favorite spiders in there too. those leggy ones but they are only teenages at the moment, a bit bigger than spiderlings.
Gill if you are talking about evergreen sap thats on e of the worst. When I used to use a bit of fir in with bunches of flowers I alway had sticky hands and as you say its hard to get off.
Oh is fiddleing with something outside. Not sure what its either the pond or the big green mowing with the roller behind it on the front lawn. Why he wants to roll it while its so wet I don't know, but there again the lawns are his domain and they look pretty good in the summer so he must do something right.

Brilliant shot for Max Mandy, I bet he couldn't do that again...if he does, put him on Britain's Got Talent, they love performing dogs on that show LOL :-D :-D :-D Happy Birthday Max, the last year went quick, didn't it?
It's just started raining here Mel so a good day for HW. My washing machine was playing up again, but seems okay for the minute, it's the spin cycle again and I heard a clonking sound, so I'm going to try and find the paperwork for it and ring them to fix or replaced it. I just hope it carries on playing nicely today as I have a few more loads to do.
I'm in the middle of hoovering then it's the polishing. I've just brushed the sofa's as there were bits under the seat cushion and the sofa's were a bit dusty, I will get the hoover on them too.
Better go and check the washing machine again, I'm so glad it's started playing nicely as I have some bedding in there.
Enjoy your fish and chips at the coast Mandy, hope the weather stays nice for you <3

Morning to you all, Evening Kim,
YES bright sunny day here also. The heating didn't even come on this morning.
Had a terrible night last night. Was watching a programme on Channel 5 about the family who had 4 daughters who were 16/20 but had a gene that made them look 60/70. The Mother was 43 and looked 80 at least. It would be worth seeing on CATCH UP. I digress , went into bed 10.30 tired out. Still awake at 1,15 when Madam came to bed. I kept waking all through the night. I feel like going back to bed, now the house is empty. (Ros is at the hairdressers). Happy Birthday Max. what a shame he's not getting on with your grand daughter. I'm sure she will be better as he grows up and quietens down.
Nice picture of THE EYE Jane, but the other never came through.
You and all these Box's Gill. The loft will be creeping under all this weight. Where so they all come from ??
I see on the Local Police reports that there is a massive increase in vehicle break ins and also burglary of houses and outbuildings. I can't believe the increase in FLY TIPPING either. Last night on the news it showed this MASSIVE TIPPER TRUCK tipping loads in this carpark. The LAW must stamp this out. It's bad enough seeing the verges covered in box's and drink containers from these fast food outlets. But when it comes to Country Lanes being blocked by these people. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. What is this Country coming too. ???
Off my SOAP BOX now !!! ;-) ;-) ;-) Time for shower and have, I might even go for a walk today :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0

Had some good news today! A call from our surgery to tell me that my BP tests were satisfactory! and the post brought the results of my bowel cancer test which are normal! Whew, that's a real relief! I have been asked to do my BP once a week at home for a month and then take the results to the surgery for our GP to look at, then every three months she invites me for a review! How brilliant is that for care? Nice day here, but stormy! Family here this afternoon, so better get on with lunch!

Afternoon Frank, sorry to hear you had another bad nights sleep, hope you have a better one tonight. Yes, I thought the one of the London Eye was a nice one too.
We emptied our loft last year to have the loft insulation put in so there's only a few bits and pieces up there now Frank. I'm only putting a few things up there that I wish to keep, things that belonged to my nan that I don't want to get rid of and a few books. I got rid of all sorts last year and still have a few more wardrobes and under a couple of beds to do, but there won't be much going back up in the loft. I just need something strong to pop the boxes on as some of them might be a little heavy with the books.
Well, that's all my housework finished now so I'm off for a soak in the bath, then they'll be more washing.
I know what's wrong with the washing machine now. I read the booklet that came with it (should of done it straight away, but didn't) and it said that if there's to much weight or an unbalanced load then the machine won't spin. The reason it started spinning again earlier must of been because I took some of the wet washing out. I didn't realise that the load weight is a dry load not a wet one. Never mind I know now where I went wrong and won't be doing it again. I'm pleased the machine isn't broken and that it's a normal thing to happen.
Off to get my bath now, see you all later.

We posted at the same time LIz. I'm so pleased everything went well at the GP. It does sound like they have a good way of doing things, a review every three months is a brilliant idea and also puts your mind at rest too.
Enjoy your time with the family this afternoon. Hope the weather improves. We've got sunshine now but had rain earlier. I think Britain is probably the only country where you can have all four seasons in one day :-D :-D :-D

Suns been out since just after I posted this morning.
Done two lots of washing which is on the line and cleaned the little loo from top to toe. Windows are open in the bedroom, little loo and the spare bedroom. Hoovered the kitchen and hall and little loo and half the bedroom. Just have to plug it in the bedroom as it dos'nt reach right round from the hall.
Scrubbed some of the window frames in both bedrooms and the two bathrooms. Now going to get lunch as oh has just come in from the garden.

The present has just arrived Anne. Sandra and I love it. Thank you <3 <3 <3 <3
It sounds like you've been just as busy as me today Mel. I'm going to get something to eat now then dry my hair. All the washing is done but I'll have to use my dryer as it looks like rain again and it was quite heavy before so I don't want to chance putting the washing outside.
Sandra wants to watch a couple of DVD's this afternoon, so that's us sorted :-D :-D

Happy Birthday to Max <3 <3 <3 Last year has passed so quickly. I would have loved to have seen him getting his ball into Colin's cup, how clever of him!!!
That was a special family photo Jane and well worth framing you all look so happy.
Pleased the book arrived Gill, the main reason I thought you and Sandra would enjoy it was because of Blondin their pet squirrel. I had to smile at your suggestion of borrowing Aldi's trolley as my walk down to them involves a flight of steps and a wooden bridge that goes over South Hill Park lake plus crossing the ring road.
Sorry to hear you had another bad nights sleep Frank, it's such a common thing these days,
Good news for you Liz regarding your BP I also have to take my own for the Doctor, the bowel cancer all clear was good as well. It was nice to hear the vet was pleased with Cas's weight
It has been a lovely day here today with the sun out all day, I've carried on doing housework and putting the Sainsbury delivery away.

Afternoon All,
Happy Birthday to the lovely Max! :-) <3 Where did that year go? He did well to get a 'hole in one' with his ball! lol. I bet when Lacey is a bit bigger she will be better with Max. He must be to her like the size of a grizzly bear is to us!! I can just taste those F&C now.
That was a lovely pic of you all Jane and I spotted Big Ben too.
Good news about your results Liz and it's good how your doctor keeps an eye on things. It sounds like you are the same as us with diet intentions! We start off ok but it's the keeping it up that's hard. OH went for an annual review this morning. They are done by the nurse at our practice and, as usual when he attends the surgery, his bottom figure for his BP was a tad high. Twice before he has had to wear a 24 hour monitor and it's been fine then, so he has to send in a week's figures from our own BP monitor next. They'd like his cholesterol a bit lower too although it is lower than mine has ever been. He was a bit shocked to find he'd put on half a stone over Christmas though, so there'll be no more talk of his clothes shrinking in the wash!! :-) :-) lol.
I asked the nurse about these annual reviews as I have never been called in for one and she said I have the next one due next year in March. She said the doctors look at patients' records when a review is due and decide whether a patient needs checks doing and whether to call you in or not!! I must say I found it puzzling as OH has BP, liver and kidney, blood sugar and cholesterol tests so how do they know things are still normal for me if they aren't checked? I know the last couple of times I was at the hospital thorough checks were no doubt done but that's only in the last 2 years.
Frank I said a while back that the tips only being open certain days and for certain hours due to council cutbacks would lead to more flytipping and we are seeing it more and more round here now. Not all the tips will take things like paint now and even then a permit is needed. If people have travelled a distance and then find the tip closed you can see why more folk are just dumping their stuff rather than have to take it home and unload it again. I can remember when our tip about half a mile away was never shut and you could go there at 10.00pm at night. I have got quite used to Ros being Dos too! :-)
Gill, I think the reason I lost that pretty shrub is because they aren't the most hardy and I never protected it in the winter.
I hope Michael is ok Anne. I must admit I worried about that when OH started with the numbness and tingling he gets in his legs. I hope he doesn't have to wait long for his scan. So are you all ready for Miss Ruby now? You've a few busy weeks ahead I expect with the toilet training and getting her used to things. We'll be pestering you for update pictures!! :-)
You've been putting me to shame with HW Mel. I run out of steam before I do that much!!

Raining here now :-S.. Don't think it was forecast either. But at least it waited until now.All the logs are stacked away ,so they haven't got wet.
Liz,double good news for you today then :-D.The big one the Bowel cancer test is always one to worry about until the results come through. At least you don't have to think about that one again for a couple of years.Hopefully your BP will remain stable. I got Chris to do mine last night and it was unusually low.115/67.When i think what it was when it was taken at the hospital .(it was twice that )..White Coat Syndrome.
Gill ,it seems you have worked out the problem now with the washing machine. So that is a relief now knowing it is nothing major.
I did like the photo of us all on the bridge in London.I don't think though it is going to be clear enough to print off and frame. But it is a nice one to hang on to :-D. Hannah is home tomorrow afternoon. She has some party or do on Saturday and then on Sunday afternoon she and Chris are off to the Derngate to hear the Philharmonic Orchestra .it is her present to Chris for his Birthday. She will get the train back to London from Northampton. I have done her room this afternoon so that is all clean and tidy now.At least I didn't have to do the bed as that was done when she was last here.
Another bad night for you then Frank .Was it just your brain not switching off that kept you awake? Hopefully not the knee. Lets hope tonight will be a better one.
Ann,can you let me know when is good for you next month for our yearly get together with Fitz. He says he can't do the 8th. I can't believe that will be another year since the last time !!!!!
I am doing a Chicken ,Pepper and Pesto Orzo dish tonight. All done in one pan in the oven.I have added some mushrooms and will chuck in a handful of frozen peas.It is a nice easy dish ,and really tasty. Double dose of Eastenders tonight Frank :-D :-D..An hour long :-D I will have a look for that programme to mentioned. Also tonight there is Trevor MacDonald and Mafia Wives. I saw the one last week with him interviewing Daughters of Mafia Fathers. I found it very interesting. The second programme of Roots was good. But it does make me cry to see the torture and injustice that the poor Slaves had to endure.I found some of it very hard to watch.
Has the bithday boy been a good boy today Mandy? :-D..I did laugh at the thought of the ball on the rope landing in OH's coffee mug :-D :-D

No tea needed here the fish and chips went down a treat ,the little ones cleared their plates ,it was nice and sunny when we got there but it clouded up when the little ones went on the swings and the wind got up it was so cold we decided to come home .
Yes i don't think Max could do that trick again if he tried it was so funny ,Colin said here look what he's just done and he sat there holding his mug with the ball in and Max was hunting round for the ball :-D Although he's a year old today we didn't have him until the 16th April but the time has gone so quickly ,we bought him a new collar today as the one he has now is getting tighter ,this will be collar number three since we've had him .
Glad you sorted out the problem with your washing machine Gill ,i had some thick bath mats that just wouldn't spin dry in my washer they were just to heavy to spin with all the water in them ,i throw them away in the end .
Hope you have a better nights sleep tonight Frank , i think we'll all sleep well tonight with the sea air .
So your getting all your jobs done Anne ,next week you'll have your hands full with dear little Ruby ,you will be up and down catching her before she does a wee and getting her outside quick .

Just think of the mess if the mug had had coffee in it! It would have gone everywhere.
Must have been a really good shot though.
Well I did'nt get the other half of the bedroom done but did a load of ironing instead as oh had been up the garden putting a new pump down our well which feeds the koi pond each day so they have some clean water and he pumps some of the old stuff out so they don't get a build up of amonia in the water. You should have seen the state of him when he had finished. He was covered in mud and muck as the well in in the center of the top garden and thats all overgrown now. He went in the shower and I thought I had done all his washing this morning but now I have another load to do as he has chucked it all in the bath.
I am just sitting here and having a well earned MOC.

Surprise, Surprise, Frankie boy is on line,
How has your day been then, mine is a boring as usual. Ros got home about 1.30 pm Her hair looked good and I remarked on it. So brownie points for me.
Glad your health check went well Liz, It's always nice to get a clean bill of health !!!.
Mel, I could easily join your OH. I felt like dropping off this afternoon, but held off.
Spoke with Lewis just now, he is coming to see us Tomorrow. It will be the first time for a long time.
I spoke with my Sister this afternoon, she has had a physiologist there this afternoon checking on her reactions and functions. All is well. Next week she has a Physic coming every day for the week to try to help her back on her feet. So will keep an eye on that. Her son has been out and bought a single bed and covers, so she can stay downstairs. I must thank him next time we speak.
We had the remains of the chicken tonight in a curry. Very nice it was too. I expect indigestion later. !!!

Ha Ha ! Anne, housework and anything else will go out the window for a while once little Ruby arrives. One more day to go :-D :-D. Well I am still waiting for James to get home from work.I think dinner will be a bit dried up so he may well end up with an M&S ready meal.
I noticed this afternoon the bungalow 3 doors up from us is up for sale. So that is 2 now .This one is in a dreadful state and the owner hasn't lived there for years now.I think it will be bought and demolished by a developer .It has a good bit of land at the back as he bought that from his neighbour a few years ago. Eastenders about to start :-D

Family gone and were feeling a bit shattered, but it was good to see them. Eldest granddaughter has a holiday job at the local gymnastic club!! She's on a work experience detail, as eventually she wants to do physiotherapy, concentrating on sports injuries. It's quite a daunting training, but she's a clever girl and very focused!! We saw Roots, years ago Jane and it is quite difficult to watch, so we're not watching it again, but it is very good and thought provoking. TV a bit grim tonight so it's a DVD for us!
