Thanks Gill, Cas is fine! I think she's about to hassle me to take her out again!!!! Don't you let your neighbour push you about! (I'm sure you won't!!) You'll sort out any problems when the weather improves! take it or leave it!!! We've just been watching the news!! Some parts of the country have been badly hit, we've clearly been very lucky. We shall curry the rest of the lamb for supper, with a plum crumble/ custard for our pudding!

The sun has gone back behind the clouds and now it's raining again, the wind is still as strong as ever, but I'm getting used to it now, so my headache's gone. I'm so pleased Cas is okay, she's such a tiny thing you wouldn't want her being blown about. It clearly didn't bother her if she wants you to take her out again....bless her.
Don't worry I won't let the neighbour push me around, I'll just get OH to deal with him instead, he can be very diplomatic when the fancy takes him ;-) ;-)
Lamb curry sounds nice. I've just popped the potatoes over the meat and it's in the oven now, so a nice shepherds pie for dinner tonight. All I have to do it heat it and dish up later.
I've just had a message off a Genes member I was in contact with yesterday to say he has made a mistake on his tree. I did notice it and was going to message him today. He has corrected some of it and I've given him the right information to correct the final woman. He had her down has a mother, when in fact she was a mother-in-law, so no biggie and easily solved.
Going to grab a cuppa and a sandwich now and watch a bit of TV with Sandra, then I'll get back to copying over my family tree, I'm almost done now.

Pots been blown over, facia to the garage blown off. !! This Blo&&y wind is doing a lot of damage. I see they closed Liverpool docks today, as well as Euston Station and cancelled lots of trains. Those poor people who have to get home tonight, I don't envy them.Pleased that everything is O.K. with you Liz.
We decided not to go out later after all. The wind is to dangerous to take a chance. Our luck is that we would be blown of the road. So Ros is doing PULLED PORK and veg with roast potato's and parsnips. She has also made a BIG PAN of STEW for tomorrow. I don't know why but my printer won't print. It is showing that I have a queue of 14 items waiting to be printed. Any Ideas what I can do ??? PLEASE. I can copy things, but that's all. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Take care folks it you have to go out. I saw a woman getting blown over on the news. !!

Try cancelling the print jobs Frank that might work, then you can print them again one at a time to avoid a queue. I haven't seen the news yet, but have noticed there aren't any planes flying over today so I think they may have closed the airports too. The wind is slowing down a bit now but still quite strong. We have two lots of screening to fix tomorrow, weather permitting. Luckily OH is off work. I don't blame you for not going out Frank, it's far to risky in this weather, better to stay in where it's safe.
I've just finished watching a few programmes that Sandra wanted us to watch, which took my mind off all the damage outside and now I'm going to carry on with my family tree. I see I have another PM so will go and read it. The shepherds pie is all done so will only need heating up later. Everyone take care and stay in if you can :-)

8 panes blown out of the greenhouse. But luckily it is not the glass greenhouse.I think the wind might just be calming down a bit now.Thomas has just gone out and is sitting all hunched up on the patio .I can't see him staying out long though .Maybe long enough to do a wee.he hasn't used the litter tray .
Cas must have wondered what was happening Liz.Poor girl. As least she is ok . I always worry about the livestock out in the fields and up on the open moors, and all the little new baby lambs.Hopefully they will be tucked up safely under their Mums.
Gill ,I am sure your Neighbour will realise you can't do anything just yet about the panelling up against his window. Is he a bit of a misery guts? I think tomorrow morning people will be out checking for damage to gardens and buildings. it has been quite a day hasn't it :-S :-S So you have a bit of damage Frank. Will it be easily fixed? I think we have been relatively lucky in our area compared to many places.
I think my knee Frank is all Arthritis related. But it hasn't been so painful today .It was very bad last night in bed and kept me awake :-S Tomorrow morning I have an appointment at he Foot Clinic.Hannah made me promise to do something about getting my toenails cut on my right foot.Because they are so thick I find it difficult to do myself as this stupid hip doesn't let me bend down far enough on that side to reach properly. Chris says he is going to trade me in for a newer model :-P
Nothing much for dinner tonight.James is having dinner at Johnny's Mums.So I have a couple of ready meals for us 2.Macaroni Cheese for me and a Lasagne for Chris ,plus plenty of veg.
My Nephew put a pic on FB of young William lying on a sun lounger on the beach in Fuertoventura . At least they have lovely weather and no storms there.
Mel is going to be thrilled with what you have found Ann :-D :-D

We found a 6 foot trellis blown against the greenhouse this morning (amazingly no glass broken!) and the frost cover over the outside tap has disappeared! The felting on the porch of the new house being built in the close has also vanished! When we went out we had to swerve around branches that had fallen on the road along the lanes and several tree trunks were leaning against hedges. One big tree had split right down the middle!! We saw one poor lady trying to walk against the wind in one village and it was all she could do to make any progress and her hair was horizontal!! Later this afternoon I went to the car wash in the village and the side screens on the cricket field were broken and lying across the hedge and when I got to the car wash the boys were carrying the roofing sheets that had blown off the garage roof. :-S It looks like 'Doris' has caused a lot of damage but at least the wind has dropped here now.
I bet the fence can be mended Gill even though it's annoying when you have spent so much time making things nice.
Did anyone watch the FMP webinar this afternoon? I thought it was quite good.
I think you are right about the Kale not being young enough to be tender Liz. In the same way bought runner beans can be stringy because they aren't picked when young.
That's quite a task Ros has for 3 weeks Frank. If more comes out than goes in has she sprung a leak?? :-D I would delete your print queue too and check that your printer is the one your laptop is linked to.

Yes Jane our neighbour is a misery guts and not a bit of one either, the whole shebang. OH went round to see him as soon as he got in from work and before he had a chance to say anything the neighbour started moaning. We've checked the weather and it looks positive for tomorrow although a bit cold so OH should be able to fix everything. I've seen the news and we're one of the lucky ones. 7000 homes are without electricity, thankfully ours is still on. The wind has died down a lot now so I'm much more relaxed. We've just had the shepherds pie and it was lovely. Sorry to hear about the damage with the 8 panes, good job they weren't glass. How is Thomas, has he come back in yet? Hope all goes well at the clinic tomorrow. Pleased to hear your knee is feeling a little better.
It sounds like there's a lot of damage around you Ann like us. No, I didn't watch the FMP webinar, I didn't know about it. That was nice of you to find the newspaper reports for Mel, she'll be thrilled.

Ann,it sounds like lots of damage around you !!. Thank heavens no glass was broken in the Greenhouse. Gill,do you have Victor Meldrew living next door???? He sounds like it. 9 panels and the DOOR have gone on the greenhouse. Yes Thomas is in :-D.He obviously didn't go far.So that is him shut in now for tonight. I slept in Hannah's bed last night because of my knee.Thomas joined me and I didn't have the heart to take him back downstairs. He was good until 5.30 ,then it was Wakey Wakey time.He walked and padded all over my head and face purring his head off.So I came downstairs fed him and let him out .Made a Cuppa and took that back to bed. Then I slept till 8 when Chris brought me another cuppa . I have a little video clip of Thomas on the bed last night so will send it on.Hopefully it will come through .

Lovely morning here, picked some daffodils before breakfast to create some Spring in the kitchen area! Washing can go out later! Hope everyone has recovered from yesterdays storm. We feel very lucky to be completely unscathed. I think our high hedges and surrounding trees helped to protect us! Usual chores here today - not at all exciting!! Hope everyone has a decent day.

Good morning all
Ruby is beginning to find her feet, at the moment peace reigns as she is asleep. She is a little monkey when she is awake but is still good at night which is the main thing. We have introduced her to two of our neighbours dogs, Molly a very friendly collie and Bonny a large retriever type they came to the house as she can't go out yet, still haven't met next door's 2 king Charles, she has the vets appointment on Monday for her 2nd injections.
We were lucky with Doris just a few pots blown over, very sorry to read about the damage some of you have had and Gill's next door neighbour being such a pain.
How is Ros getting on measuring her water in and out take what a nuisance if she needs to go in the night.
I couldn't open your email with Thomas being your bed companion Jane but the main computer upstairs is fairly old and for some reason I can't do emails on the laptop, I might try sending it on to Richard as his is more up to date.
Hope all this makes sense as little miss dynamite is stirring. I think we should have named her Betty Boop with those eyes :-D :-D :-D

Morning all
What a difference in the weather beautiful blue sky and sun, a bit nippy but thankfully no more wind to speak of. OH has just gone to the glass place as one of the panes of glass was cracked, he said everyone wanted greenhouse glass the shop assistant said don't panic we have over 500 panes so everyone put in there orders for what they needed. Hope you manage to sort out your greenhouse today Jane. Loved the video of Thomas.
Betty Boop Anne, you are right though, her eyes are so big. She is such a darling by the sounds of it, sleeping through the night. You have been lucky.
I'm just going to help OH fix the fencing now, should be back later this afternoon.

Morning to you all, Evening Kim,
The typing is not coming out !!! I just looked up at the screen and it was BLANK. !!
As I was saying, I am pleased that you all came through "DORIS" without too much damage. Ros is out on the patio standing up all the pots that got blown over, I hope there aren't any broken. I will attempt to put the facia back on the front of the garage later.
Jane I did get Thomas romping on the bed. He is getting quite BIG on his DIET of mice. ;-) ;-) ;-) How old is your D/W ?? are you claiming under your insurance or the Guarantee ??
Betty Boop ?? why a name like that. She is such a little DARLING.
Blue sky's with fluffy white clouds at the moment, bit of a breeze, and I think it's a lot cooler.
I had a stumble this morning, didn't fall over, but jared my knee again. It's quite uncomfortable around the joint. Will have to keep an eye on it lol lol.
Has anyone heard from Will and David recently ?? I trust everything is well with them.
I spoke to my niece last night who lives in the BORDERS. She never had any snow yesterday, but there was plenty all around her.
Ros and I are thinking of getting or toenails cut by a professional. As we are both struggling to get down to do them. They have one at the Surgery, but Ros didn't like her. So we will have to go to town.
I have tried to cancel the printing but it doesn't seem to work. I rang Jonathan last night. He will call round over the weekend to have a look at it.
My sister isn't showing any great improvement. Her SON is such a good chap looking after her so well. The physio has been calling each day, and putting her through her paces, so hope for success in the near future.
I haven't got round to reading my Kindle yet. It's on charge, so I might try this afternoon.
Take care all, see you later.
