Afternoon All,
So it's HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mandy's son, Jan , Hannah and of course OH!! <3 <3 <3 <3 He said to thank you for his card Mel.
That's good to teach Sandra how to record Gill. Once she gets the hang of it she will enjoy the independence. :-)
Thanks for the pic of Ruby Anne. It's a wonder she stayed still enough to take it.
Frank I did wonder whether those whitebait would repeat on you! You need to have them much earlier so they have time to digest before you go to bed. Your lawns do always look a treat as you say.
It was sunny here first thing, but drizzled while I was beading and now it is back to dull and much colder. :-S
OH wants to pop out and look at some earphones and those steam generator irons now!

I must have got muddled up with the birthdays. I knew it was Gordon's and it must have been Hannah who was on the same day, silly me.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Happy Birthday Hannah <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Hope all have a lovely day anyway. I know Hannah will......... I wonder what Gareth has bought her?
Is the tank up and running again now Jane?
I did'nt go to Mole Valley yesterday after all with it being so nice but am going later this afternoon and bringing F & C's home tonight. We had Spag Bol last night out the freezer, some I had made earlier.
It is good Sandra is learning new things so she can manage things on her own. You could perhaps write down the things she needs to do and that would help her remember.
Oh has to do that for me sometimes with things on the pc.

Sandra has problems with her reading and writing Mel, so probably wouldn't understand. She will ask me to show her again if she can't remember how to do it.
Did you buy the steam generator iron Ann and the earphones? It's still dry here. but is starting to cloud over now and it's gone a bit colder too. Can't complain as we've had lovely sunshine most of the day :-) What did you make at beading today?

It's an age thing Mel, well it must be with you, but not Sandra LOL LOL.
Pam next door has been this afternoon for a chat. She wants Ros to alter some curtains for Tracy's bedroom. Also she tell us the those Blo@@y cats next door to her are sitting under OUR garage door, looking up as though waiting for the Robins to come out. She and her husband Dennis are chasing them off when they see them. If they catch those ROBINS there is going to be BIG TROUBLE AHEAD !!!! and I mean BIG.
Ros has washed her hair and put it in rollers, now she's sitting with the dreaded Hair Dryer on for the next half hour or so. :-( :-( :-(
She was heard telling Pam how she got her flowers, Pam said to me, you are a little bu@@@r. !!! I said I know I am and will always be one. At least people know hat they are dealing with LOL LOL.
The chicken is in the oven, and smelling lovely. We will have dinner about 6.00 pm as usual.
So it's F & C tonight then Mel. that will save you cooking.
Who has any plans for the weekend.??Ros isn't going out with Martine, so I expect she will be in the garden if it's fine. I no doubt will go to the pub to watch the football.
I can here David Attenborough on the T.V. so will go and see where he is today. Tonight Phillip Scofield is on his trip to South Africa. It was good last week, so well worth watching tonight.

Frank, you know what to do now i fyou want a kiss off Ros.MORE FLOWERS :-D :-D
Sandra will love being able to put the films on the planner once she gets the hang of it :-D..I'm not sure I even know how to do that !!.
I just bought a tiny Thorntons birthday cake for when Hannah is home tomorrow.it is just big enough for a slice each for Chris ,Me ,Gareth and Hannah. No point in getting a bigger one as she wouldn't want to be taking it back to London.
Chris has just had a BATH !!.,now feels all hot and bothered LOL as he had the water too hot.He only ever has a bath when he feels all achey after a heavy day in the garden .I think I might have oe later as I missed having a shower this morning because of the Plumber coming. Mind you he didn't gat here until about 10.30,so I could have had one. It is very dark and feels much later than 5.There is a very fine drizzle in the air.I can't see Thomas staying out too long.He has been playing silly bu*****s in the garden this afternoon, chasing leaves and batting at the canes in the veg patch. He is probably up to mischief somewhere else now.
Steak and Ale Pie tonight(waitrose) with Root Veg and Green Beans. The Pie and Root Veg in the oven so all I need to do is just the Beans. Brit Gas will be here between 12 and 6 tomorrow. I could have had the 8-12 slot, but dreaded the thought of them turning up at 8 !!!.I think Chris could do with a bit of a lie in.(that is my excuse anyway ;-) )
All that sand blowing in on Tenereife won't be nice for John and Carolyn. I remember that happening one day when Hannah and I were in Dubai for Rachels wedding. It was horrible.Maybe John could do with one of those nose ann mouth masks Frank to stop it all getting down into his lungs.
I have noticed lately that my car is covered in a fine powder and it is the pollen from the yew hedge. I noticed today that all the little baby lambs in the top field up the road are all black. There are about 4 now,and in the field opposite I saw two black little rabbits. For years now there have always been some black bunnies.I reckon someone a long time ago abandoned some tame ones.
I think I fancy a G&T :-D..Haven't had one of those in ages. Did you drink your bottle of red Frank? :-D

I don't know what is on the box tonight.I know Gogglebox is .I like that. We won't be doing anything tomorrow until the evening when we go to The Pheasant with Hannah and Gareth.

Good evening all
Happy Birthday to all those that have a birthday today.
Thank you for the photo of your granddaughters Mandy they certainly look the part the costumes you made are very authentic. good that they have caught the man on the run hopefully he will get a long prison sentence
Sorry you couldn't open Ruby's photo Gill I hope someone was able to forward it on for you. Richard took it, he likes taking black and white photos. It will be useful if Sandra can list the things she wants to see on television. I'm useless at anything like that. Not much on tele tonight thanks to the rugby. BBC 2 until Gogglebox.
Pleased to hear the flowers were appreciated Frank, hope your meal went down .well, That's a worry that those cats are showing an interest in the Robins.
Ruby is playing with her toys at the moment it's like having Abbie and Becky back as toddlers

I got OH one of those little cakes too Jane. We don't buy cake very often and one of those was just the right size for a couple of slices each. It's good your shower is sorted now and the valve will hopefully be done tomorrow. You do have a lot of trouble with your waterworks! ;-) I sometimes watch gogglebox and like Giles and Mary.
My day just gets worse! The people we booked our Cornwall holiday through (they use an agent ) took the remaining balance due yesterday which would normally be fine. Today they have sent a letter telling us that there will be 2 new lodges delivered where we are staying on 2 days of our holiday and there will be no access to the site in the mornings of those 2 days. Also there will be noise disturbance every day between 8.30am and 4.00pm all the time we are there!! To think we booked to go earlier this year so it would be very peaceful as the place is out in the sticks and it is the peace and tranquillity we love!! :-S We are not happy bunnies so it looks like we have a battle now to try and change the date somehow, otherwise we may as well stay at home with the builder's noise here!! Also because OH has arranged his school meetings around the week we had booked no other weeks are free of meetings now so he will have to try and find other people to cover for him.
Then my computer froze and I had a screen pop up to say it had been blocked due to suspicious virus activity and with an 0800 number to ring to be talked through removing it. Luckily I decided to ring our computer support people who knew it was a convincing scam going around and got rid of it. They checked nothing had been altered and said it is how fraudsters gain remote access to install their own malware to get into your bank, etc!! :-0

Oh Ann !!!! Not what you wanted to hear about your holiday site :-S,and just as they take the final payment !!!!. I do hope that you manage to be either be able to change the dates or still go and get a BIG reduction in the cost. Maybe the 2 lodges being installed will not be that close to yours. If work finishes at 4,you will have been out all day and come back to peace and quiet.. I can just imagine how you are feeling about this now.It will have put a right dampner on things.
Well I think I made a mistake in letting Thomas out at 7.30. It is a very bright moon (almost full).I have been calling and whistling for the last half an hour. Not a sign of him.I now reckon this is why he has been so skittish today. THE MOON :-S.I will give him another hour ,but then I will have to go to bed. I love Giles and Mary in Gogglebox. They are sooo funny and rather old fashioned .I imagine them living in total chaos in that lovely in that lovely old house.

I don't think it will be much of a holiday if they are building near your cabin Ann. Have they only just let you know about the other two cabins? If so they should have told you when you booked or as soon as they knew anyway and certainly before the final payment. You should have said to them you are coming down to get away from builders for a bit of peace and quiet.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning all
Bit of a dull morning today, but so far dry and quite warm, lets hope it doesn't rain. We're hoping the weather is going to be nice on Monday and Tuesday as OH has those days off and we want to tackle the massive bush we have in the front garden. It overhangs the hedge onto the street and it must be about 15 foot high, so we're going to cut it right down to just above the hedge and thin it out a lot too. I noticed we have a camellia behind it which is starting to flower so we'll have to be careful around that.
So the moon is doing funny things to Thomas Jane :-) Did he make it back before you went to bed? The cake sounds just the right size. Sandra like big chocolate cakes so it takes us a while to get through it, no doubt she'll want another one next month for her birthday.
Sorry to hear about your holiday Ann, that's the last thing you need when you want to get away from the noise of building work. Like Jane said though, you'll be out and about all day so it should be nice and quiet for you when you return if they are leaving at 4pm. If you can't change the date then I'd ask for a discount for the inconvenience. Do they know about the builders in your close and that you wanted to get away from all that for a while, they may be sympathetic and put you in a cabin furthest away from the work, at least it won't be as noisy and a partial refund would help soften the blow too, which you should ask for. If you don't ask you don't get, so it's worth a try. Hope it all works out for you and you have a nice time away <3
So the cat has found the Robin's nest Frank, do you leave your garage door open, maybe you could close it to stop the cat getting in. If the Robin feels threatened she won't nest there and that would be such a shame as I know you were looking forward to seeing the babies.
Thanks Anne for sending the picture of Ruby again, what a lovely picture, I do like black and white photo's. I'll show Sandra when she wakes up later, she'll be pleased to see it as she was disappointed yesterday when it didn't come through.
The car failed it's MOT yesterday, surprise surprise LOL luckily it's only a few small things so that'll be booked back in and sorted for us. It'll tide us over until we can afford to buy a new one sometime this year.
Off to get a cuppa now, then I'll take another look at my family tree I found some more people last night, so might add to them while Sandra is asleep. OH is in work so it's nice and quiet.

Morning all
I think my emails were on a go slow yesterday, so the photo off Mandy's girls which I mentioned yesterday must have been the original one so thanks again Mandy for resending it, so for some reason I now have 3 of them.
Pleased to hear the photo of Ruby has come through Gill. She is fast asleep in her cage at the moment but as I am at the kitchen table she will be able to see me when she wakes up.
That was the last thing you wanted to hear Ann about your holiday, they should refund your money in full, so there will be time to book somewhere else, how naughty to only let you know once you have paid all the money if they advertise it as a peaceful place to stay surely it's the least they can do.
So Thomas has had moon madness Jane cats are so funny when they have funny five minutes, our two are both in the conservatory asleep I am the only one awake at the moment as Richard never gets up early at the weekend.
We also watched goggle box it's more entertaining than some of the programmes they are talking about, it is surprising how many of them have pet dogs.
I hope you both have a lovely evening with Hannah and Gareth, Jane.

Morning to you all, Evening Kim,
You have been busy chatting away like "WASHER WOMEN"
Ann, I would be incline to have words with the agents regarding the new chalets being installed while you are there. A full refund would't be out of the question !!!
I have put more chicken wire around the gate post, so the cat's can't get up to the space where the fascia would be. I don't have the garage door open, just the gap above the door.
Couldn't sleep again last night so got up and came on the computer till 1,15 am when Madam decided she would go to bed, so I went with her. Slept till 7.15 am so got a few hours.
Good old THOMAS. I could just see him with the wind up his tail, flying around the garden. How old was Hannah yesterday, 32/33. might have been mentioned I think.??
Rugby on T.V. lunchtime, I hope it doesn't clash with the football. If it does I will stay at home and have the match on the radio. The pub will be packed with RUGBY FANS. Must look it up. !!!
Strange having Ros around on Saturday morning. She will pop out to get some bits later. She wore me out with all that walking on Thursday, by knee is giving me jip and the small of my back aches.
ime for a bit of toast and coffee. See you later.

Evening all,
It's been another lovely day so we have been out side getting lots of jobs done ,i got two tubs of weeds from the front garden and i bet i could easily get two more .
Oh dear Ann that's not what you need more noise on your holiday, you were going there to get away from the noise ,i would certainly contact them and ask for a reduction on the price ,lets hope the new lodges coming in are a good way away from the one you are staying in .
Still itching Mel ,i should think it's getting on your nerves now ,you would think the tablets would be helping by now , how is the head ache now ? how did you get the red mark on your lip ?
Jane have a lovely evening with the family .

Evening All,
It's been mostly overcast here today, but good you got some sunshine Mandy. It sounds like you have made a good start with the weeding. I notice we have some dandelions on the front so they will have to go soon.
I've had a good think about our holiday and what to do when I ring them on Monday. There is no guarantee that the lodges will arrive on time anyway or whether there will be delays putting them up with snags etc. so the site could even be closed all day those days. There are 7 lodges now so the new ones will be close wherever they go. It might even be right behind us! We don't tend to be out all day as I can't walk as far as I used to, also going earlier this year the weather might not be so good for being out all the time. So I think the date will have to be changed, and OH will have to pay for someone to cover his meetings. I notice there is a week in May still free so I'll see if we can change to that without paying any extra, otherwise we think we might go in the autumn instead. I'm sure the owners who are 2 really nice brothers would let us do that but everything has to go through this agent now!! If I get no joy I'll ring one of the brothers anyway! :-P :-)
OH has been to a match at Averleigh?? today. It's off the M25 and he wanted to go as the ground is closing this year.
Those cats are devils sitting waiting for the baby birds Frank!! I've lost count of how many nests have been destroyed in gardens at the houses I've lived at.
I can't believe how time is speeding up........Hannah 34 already!!
Mel, it doesn't sound as if the tablets are helping with the itching and that you might have to see the doc again.
