Evening all, Very foggy here first thing and it was late morning before we saw the sun , been doing the usual chores today and sat out with a cuppa this afternoon ,i sat with my back to the sun and i could feel the heat on my back but my arms in the shade were quite cold.
My bird feeders need filling too , up the one with the pellets in goes down so quickly so they are their favourite thing ,we had an old crow having a go yesterday and the pigeons hang upside down on it to and they shake the pellets out .
I had to smile Gill when you said that Sandra would need the DS surgically removed if she played on it much longer :-D all the young ones love these games don't they and if it keeps her happy and gives her some thing to do that's the main thing .

Jane your poor fingers ,it's hard to keep cream on during the day as your constantly washing your hands after doing HW ,do you wear the gloves over night ? that would help ,i usually cream my hands at night and my feet ,at the moment my hands are so dry i think it's using that Cif that has made them like that i don't always wear rubber gloves as i find they make my hands sweat . What dreams you've been having :-D :-D

Mandy I try to keep the cotton gloves on at night, but they sometimes slip off.Not the best fitting things. I bought some rubber gloves in Asda the other day and they fit really well .I find some just hang off the fingers. So I might go and buy a few more pairs. They are cotton lined.
Wonder what I will dream about tonight :-S..Hopefully nothing.I find some of my dreams so exhausting.I just would love a switch sometimes to turn off dreaming.
James is on his way home from work now so I best get on with dinner so we can all eat together. Don't know if I said but the meal James cooked last night was sooooo good :-D

Evening All,
Well there was I yesterday about to tackle the hoovering and the Dyson wouldn't suck!! :-| I washed and dried the filters thinking that would fix it, but it still wouldn't suck this morning. I checked the hose was ok like it said to do but hadn't got time to faff about as I was going to the hospital to a meeting so told OH that he may have to take it to some repairers I'd looked up that were nearby. Off I went to the meeting which was a bit of a brainstormer. The student we were helping was very good. I liked the fact that he said he could have as many facts and figures and data in front of him as he liked, but admitted he had no knowledge of the real world and workplace. There was lots of nice healthy food for us but I'd already had lunch so had nothing. :-S On the way home I drove through the village the back way and ended up in a queue half a mile from home because of all the roadworks on the main road. :-S When I eventually got home I was flabbergasted as OH had fixed the hoover!!! Some of the pipework was blocked and I've never had that happen with any hoover before. Fixing it hadn't helped his back though that was slowly seizing up after all the weeding he did yesterday!! He's soaking it in the bath tonight!!
That gas explosion was a bad one Gill and it's a good job it was no closer to you. The DS is good entertainment for Sandra and keeps her interest which is good.
I can just see me in a french beret Jane! It is strange what we dream at times. I had one a little while ago to do with beading! I dreamt that people were having piercings each end of their eyebrows and I was making beaded wires they could attach each end so they had beaded eyebrows!! lol OH said I could start a new craze!! :-)
Your fingers don't sound too good. Is the cream helping do you think? I found that cream just soaked into my socks if I didn't wrap them in clingfilm first. Mandy is right in saying it makes your hands/feet sweat though.

What cream have you got for your hands Jane? Do you wash your hands with that Doublebase? I must admit that I wash my hands first with the Carex alo but then do them with the Doublebase. The backs of my hands look really good now and it seems to have taken the brown age spots away too.
I too had a strange dream lst night and meant to tell you about it this morning but now I try to remember what it was its gone. I know it was all very clear almost like a cartoon if you know what I mean.
Well I cut down some of the brimbles out of the Rhodo today so have made a start on the back garden. Later tomorrow after shopping I shall have another go towards Prickly Hollow and then I can tie up the Montana Clematis along the fence. One bit has gone right up the big beech tree at the end there.

Did'nt mean to submit that.
Oh put the mower deck on today and went off up the garden and it made such a noise it sounded like something was grating against something else. He came down and took it all apart and it needs new bearings or something so he has sent off for those. More Expence another £200 odd. The new boiler innards is £400 something and the solar will be paid at the end of this month so that will have to pay a bit towards it all. Every time we get a payment for the solar something had gone wrong and we need to pay out. I was hoping to go and get some new specs this time but I shall just have to dig into my backup I think.
The car tax runs out the end of next month too. Then the next month it is my MOT on the car which is due on my sons birthday so I can't forget that. :-(

Morning all
Foggy here this morning and not very warm either. Hope it brightens up later.
What a weird dream Jane, you haven't been eating cheese before bed have you, they say that can cause dreaming?
So Frank will be back when he's ready, I didn't think I'd seen a date for his return.
I wonder how Carmel is getting on, we might hear from William today with an update.
The news was live from New Ferry last night where the explosion happened and now the police are saying it could be criminal and not a gas leak after all. It looked so much worse in the daylight and it doesn't look as if the council are going to help re-house anyone. They're not allowed back yet as the buildings are to damaged and not safe. One woman was saying that her three grandchildren were thrown out of their beds onto the floor, luckily she said the bed was slightly higher than the window sill so the blast flipped them out of bed and the mattress landed on top of them. The children who were 6, 9 and 11 felt all the bricks hitting the mattress while they were under it. There was another 11 year old boy who ran into the restaurant helping people to get out. They still haven't found out the cause of the explosion yet. The council were saying they are going to put pop up shops there for the businesses to start trading again as their shops are to damaged to go back into. One man caught the blast on his dash cam in his car, luckily he was a couple of streets away so didn't get hit by bricks. It's all such a mess everywhere.

Morning Gill and all,
O I do miss our Frankie Boy. I wish he would let us know he and Ros are ok. Its a long drive from where he lives to down here as Jane knows.
We have some sun this morning but as I went to hang the towels on the line it started to rain a little so I brought it back in again. There's blue sky with lots and lots of big greyey white clouds so I expect we are in for showers.
Shopping day again, don't they come around quickly?
Love to Carmel and Lizzy Dripping. xx <3 <3

Good afternoon all
A really lovely sunny day here the same as yesterday there was a touch of fog first thing but this soon cleared away.
Ruby had her third and final injection for this year plus a worming tablet. Afterwards we visited the Wyevale garden centre in nearby Binfield where I bought 4 trays of violas to go in some of the tubs, I managed to plant them while Ruby was asleep. We went in Pets corner while we were there and they do a puppy socialisation class for an hour every Saturday morning starting at 9.30 so we are taking Ruby along and I can get some more plants, dogs are allowed in the garden centre apart from the café.
Some of the dreams we have can be really surreal, last night I had a dream that the washing machine flooded all over the utility room floor I was pleased when I realised it was just a dream.
Ruby is now trying to get on my lap and being quite persistent about it

Afternoon Everyone
Just had the picture of poor Liz ! What a picture !!!!!. At least everything is all looking good for her now <3
So Ruby is all done now with her jabs and worming.Hopethe socialising classes go well .They can be a bit crazy LOL.But a good thing t odo with her.
We have a little visitor coming on Friday...... Benjy (Jess's little puppy).I am picking her and Benjy up from the station about 3pm.I have to say I am still a bit apprehensive as to how Thomas is going to react.I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised...Watch this space.
Gill ,the devastation from that explosion is just dreadful .Those poor little children, must have been SO scared, but thank god the mattress kept them safe.I thought they said on the news that a Gas leak had been investigated the day before the explosion.Something went wrong there then.
Mel ,I have a different cream now rather than the Doublebase that I bought. This one is called Zerobase. It is much much thicker and has some different ingredients .So I can't wash my hands in this one.I have a different cream to rub on my affected fingernails. That is the same one I have to put on the sole of my foot.Dermovate. The one for my Tum is Eumovate and 2 more things. Can't think of the names now.But one is a lotion I have to apply to my scalp and the other is a cream for in between my tootsies on the one foot. What a palaver.
The man came to fit the new handle on the bedroom window. Then tomorrow morning Tony the Plumber will be here to fit he new pump of whatever it is on the Water Cylinder. So it is all go.
Chris says I look like that French Mime Artist Marcel Marceau (with my white cotton gloves LOL ). I managed to keep them on all night last night...They are looking pretty grubby now so will have to be washed tomorrow. But I do think they are helping keep the cream on my fingers and hands. Mel the backs of my hands are as soft as a Babies Bottom :-D :-D
It hasn't been as sunny as yesterday afternoon. But still a pleasant afternoon. My bath mats are still a bit damp but a quick whizz in the tumble dryer will finish them off nicely .
Chicken and Bacon Pancakes tonight with Asparagus, and Green Beans.

Evening All,
Well I was amazed to see Liz sitting down on the grass and wondered how she would get up as I would struggle! She does look a bit sorry doesn't she!
Frank and Ros got home just a short while ago so I expect they are unpacking and getting straight. I bet Frankie will be looking in later. :-)
Jane it sounds like you have a full set of '............vate' creams, one for every affliction! I can just imagine you as Marcel Morceaux, I'd forgotten about him. lol
Mel, once bills start they bring their friends!! :-) Hopefully there won't be any more now fingers crossed.

I forgot to say I met another silly cyclist yesterday. I was driving into the old part of the village uphill along a one way street with cars all parked the length of one side and what should I meet but a woman riding a bike the wrong way TOWARDS me!! She didn't seem to realise she was doing anything wrong and looked really put out that she had to stop and move her bike onto the pavement. Then today we were driving to Wyevale (like Anne went to for her Violas) and speeding fast towards us came a motorbike.........with the rider and bike vertical with just the ONE back wheel on the road!! All around here and towards Hinckley there are these 'Think Bike' signs plastered over the lamp posts because of the number of accidents involving motorbikes, yet is it any wonder with all the speeding they do and silly pranks like this on busy roads. It isn't as if it was a clear open road with no traffic. It's time they put 'Think Car' signs up for them to read!!

So pleased she is coming along ok and dos'nt need so many pain killers but I don't think I would like to inject myself.

I just wrote a great long post and lost the lot, even the site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not doing it all again but glad to know Fank and Ros are home safely.
I can add another 'ate' to Jane's list I have Aquadrate which I don't use now but its nice on your face. I don't ever put cream on my face only that occasionly.
I bougt some violas in mauve and orange today and a pot of tete a tete to go in the middle of them in one of my nice pots on the patio outside the back door. Only £2.50 the lot. I could have had two packs for £3 but they did'nt have another like the one I bought. They are so cheery with their little faces looking at you but they don't last long down here as they get black spot because the air is too clean so they say.

Hi folks, Just to let you know that Carmel is making great progress. She had her clips out today and should be on the move to the rehab home on Thursday all being well. I was visiting this morning and again this evening. Meanwhile, daughter Dorothy was visiting in between and was there when Carmel had her clips out. You won't believe this, but while holding her mothers hand during this, she passed out and started fitting! It wasn't because of the clips as she was on the far side of the bed, but this happened to her last year when they were holidaying in Spain. She used to care for children where blind, disabled and who had other problems at her work until she she had to give it up, so she's seen everything. She did rally round but the staff said she must make a follow-up visit to her doctor tomorrow. She is okay now, but something must be causing these episodes! It never rains but it pours . . . More when I have some positive news.

Poor Dorothy for that to happen while she was with Carmel. It could just be stress with her mother not being well. I hope she goes to the doctor and finds out what is causing these episodes. Sending love and wishes to you all. xx

Morning all,
Dull old day here with a little light rain and no wind.
Oh has the boiler apart and is cleaning it out ready for the new burner.
Nothing planned for me today so will just do whatever I think is necessary like a bit of ironing or I may just play.......... Who knows?
There is one little job I must do and thats to untangle this beading I started the other day as its on wire and I have broken a wire twisting it too much.
