Does Ruby still like her treats/chews the same Anne? If so it can't be her mouth. It's a bit of a puzzle isn't it, but hopefully someone at the puppy class may know something useful.
I think I've remembered the butter I mentioned before............it was Golden Meadow by St Ivel.

Ruby loves her treats but prefers the softer ones, we have an appointment with the vet on Monday so will ask to take a look in her mouth but she is also turning her nose up at three different puppy meats, Pedigree chum ,Nature diet and two types of Butchers. Possibly I have a very fussy girl :-( :-0 :-(

So they are tinned / packet meats she's turning nose up at are they ? Max just has the biscuits as does Molly ,what was the breeder feeding her on ? She might not like the smell of the meat .
Max had his yearly injection and kennel cough ,he was fine having the injection but she had to get the nurse to hold him for the kennel cough ,came home with more flea treatment and wormer tablets and he's booked in next friday for the snip !!! :-0 :-(
Still over cast here we haven't seen much sun today at all.
Oh Ann it was good OH saw the wasps nest before it got any bigger ,are they early starting to build nests ?

Evening all, I can at last sit down and RELAX> !!!! After doing the ironing, I made the bed and hoover through. Got dinner ready as much as I could and watered the patio and greenhouse.
Poor Ros still isn't feeling great, and has sat and read her magazine and dosed on the sofa.
She did eat quite a good dinner tonight, so hope she feels better later. I have washed and dried up, and cleaned the cooker hob, and chopping board. Cups already for tea in the morning and my Aspirin in it's glass.
Now going to sit with a bit of tele, and my book.

Is the kennel cough thing the stuff they squirt up the nostrils Mandy? I don't know about these things but if it is I expect not many dogs like that. At least he will be well protected now but I don't expect he will be impressed with his next trip and the 'snip'! :-S
I hope Ros starts to feel better soon Frank. I expect it has to work it's way out of her system. You have been earning brownie points today haven't you! I doubt it would even cross my OH's mind to do most of those things without being asked. He did think to weedkill the driveway while I was out this morning though.
Off to bed now and hopefully for another good night's sleep..........

Ann do you often have Frites with your dinners?
Finished the bathroom off and got the washing dried but I had put another lot out of oh's dirty working clothes and as I was clleaning the bath I suddenly smelt smoke.. yes you've guessed he had lit the bonfire but he did come down the garden to tell me to get the washing in. Bl**dy fool. He said he drove past it on the mower and thought he would put his lighter to it.
Cleared out oh's draw in the spare room where I keep his joggers and jumpers for the garden. Every pair of joggers I got out had holes all down the front of them from bonfire burns or battery acid. I asked him if I could throw them all away to which he told me they were his favorite ventilated ones.
Put lots of things away that had been left out and got rid of the new telly box out of the hallway. I put it in his study as he said to hold on to it for a bit just incase it had to go back.
Cleared a lot of bits from around the kitchen too.
Did'nt make the pie in the end as I had'nt realized the time and when I looked at my watch it was quarter past six. I did chicken casserole on the hob instead with onions carrots and tiny button mushrooms, had it with rice for him and broccoli and a jacket tato for me. I did'nt waste the puff pastry though as I made it into 12 nice sausage rolls. We had one each but I wonder how many will be left when I get up in the morning?

Morning all,
Not such a nice start to the day here as we have grey skies but it is dry.
So nice to hear how Liz is progressing in her email and by the sounds of it she is doing great. I hope she continues to heal as well as she has so far.
Shop today for the paper and then just muddle around with whatever I feel like doing.
After yesterdays HW my poor old foot is playing me up. It aches like anything this morning and did last night. Its the foot (right one) where I can't bend my big toe after stubbing it rather badley and distroying the Cartilage many years ago. The hosp did say they could operatate on it and make it permanently stiff But I have some movement in it and can where a very low heel if I wish whereas I could'nt if I had had the op.So I put up with the pain sometimes and other times its fine.
Enough about me how is everyone else this moring??

Morning all, hope some of you caught my latest L G blog from last night. If anyone would like more photos of the Grange, please let me know. There are some wonderful prints and artwork throughout they premises. I managed to watch last weeks Britain's Got Talent last night when I got in, a programme that sometimes I'm great with and other times - blahhh. I think Ant and Dec are on a good thing there, money for old rope, but maybe that's just me. I thought there were some very good acts but the choir for the missing people was certainly a tear jerker if not a show stopper. We all feel for loved ones who have passed away but I just can't begin to know what it must feel like for a loved one to just disappear. Folk on here know that I was (notice I said 'was') - a fan of Mrs Brown, but endless repeats just kill it and the latest 'All around to Mrs Browns' is far too long and just crude at times. So, sorry Mrs Brown, I'm going off you. It's the weekend again and I shall be off to L G on my 30 mile round trip in an hour or so, just put another £40 of petrol in the tank! I hope it's sunny then we shall be able to go down into the secluded garden for a while. The wheelchair Carmel has now was 'Nanny Dots, and it's just the job - I've even put CHARIOT of FIRE stickers on it. Tomorrow I shall be able to have Sunday lunch with her again, wonder what's on the menu this week. We have made friends with a nice lady there who had a stroke in February and should be going home on Wednesday. She is 89 but doesn't look it and she was a linguistics teacher. She may have a job with her speech but there is nothing wrong with her brain. Anyway, enough from me, hope you all have a good weekend. Just want to add re Ann's previous post on Kings Newnham, out Rugby way. I have a lovely painting of the church ruins painted by a gifted friend, if I can find it, I'l email you a copy. I'm not sure if you've ever read Mallory's Morte de Arthur, but I read somewhere that he was at Kings Newnham when he wrote that.

I won't say GOOD morning, as it's not for me. Evening Kim,
I had the worst dream ever last night. I was sitting in CHURCH and someone passed me a gold and studded plate. As I took it, it burnt my hand and I dropped it. At that moment FOUR ANGELS floated over me. I woke up feeling like I was in a bath of water. I got up and sat for two and a half hours in the lounge. I feel total washed out this morning. So will be having a quiet day.
Ros is feeling a lot better this morning. The blotches on her legs are starting to disappear even though she has two come up on her chin over night. She has gone to meet Martine and get the bits we need.
I like your OH comments about his Joggers MEL, It did make me smile. I have an old top the has paint, wood stain and glue on, but still goes in the wash and used when I need it in the garden.
Lets hope you sort out Ruby's eating habits soon Ann. It must be a worry if she's not eating.
Ros has a tray of seedlings that need potting on, so I might sit in the conservatory and do that today, as I have decided not to go to the pub.
Yes, it's good that Liz is showing signs of improving. Lets hope it continues,
We have big white clouds sitting amongst the BLUE SKY'S. The sun is shining and there is little in the way of a breeze. I haven't been out so don't know if it's cold.
I was wondering where everyone was too Mel, Still in bed or out spending money. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Afternoon All,
Once in a blue moon is when I have frites Mel and the menu actually said with chips but the meal turned up with frites! :-) I don't have chips very often either, maybe every couple of months. I only have roast potatoes at Christmas as a treat. In fact apart from the odd jacket potato I hardly eat any potatoes really. It's not that I don't like them, I love new potatoes and roasts, but they raise your blood sugar levels quickly and tend to be higher in calories than most veg and at my weight I am already at risk of diabetes. I do sometimes have 2 or 3 Vivaldi potatoes as they are much lower in calories than other potatoes. :-) Thanks for that link, it was very interesting! :-) Sorry to hear your foot is hurting and that must have been quite a bash you gave it years ago.
Frank that sounded like an awful dream! I don't think I would have wanted to go back to sleep after it! It's good that the blotches Ros has are fading now.
I was awake till gone 3.00am last night and awake again at 6.00am. :-S Hopefully I may sleep better tonight! I got an email last night to say the glass fusion class I was going to next month has changed venue to a local pub only a couple of miles away. I rang them and was told the class will be upstairs and they don't have a lift so it looks like a no no for me with my dodgy knees. :-S I'm going to call in and see how steep the stairs are as I can't remember and it's been refurbished and changed hands since I went years ago. If they aren't shallow steps I shall have to cancel and I expect the only toilets will be downstairs anyway. I was looking forward to it as well. :-S
Yes, Liz seems to be doing really well doesn't she. She still has to be a bit careful but is able to do more than I expected already.
OH has gone to a match at Cheadle so I am going out with my camera while it's sunny!

Afternoon All
Just got in from a quick shop. But I am having to have a sit down before unpacking. I am shaking like a leaf.I just witnessed what could have been 2 fatalities . I was just stopping at traffic lights and a lady and her little girl were crossing when out of nowhere this total dangerous idiot on a very fast motorbike went straight through the red light and almost hit them.He had to swerve and luckily they managed to jump out of the way. I stopped around the corner as I could see both Mum and child were in a dreadful state.I gave them a lift up to the pub at the top of the road where they were going to be picked up by the Grandad. All the little girl wanted was to go home . Bless her.Nightmares tonight for her I think. :-(. I gave my name and number to the Mum ,just incase any witnesses might be needed. James must have thought I had been hurt or something as I just burst into tears when I got through the door.It was obviously just the shock of what might have been. Got a headache now :-S..It happened right outside the Chemist and a Corner shop and i think there are cameras there so it hopefully will have been caught on camera.
Crikey Frank, that was some dream you had!!!! It is weird isn't it why we have these crazy dreams that make no sense. I didn't realise Ros was still coming out in bumps and blotches Frank. Hopefully now they will all start to calm down and she will feel much better.
Are you having to rest up your painful foot Mel, or managing to hobble about on it. I know juat what that is like with the big toe trouble. I have been told the same as you about having an op which will make the toe totally non flexible. Not sure I fancy that.
So SNIP SNIP for Max next week then Mandy !. Good job he doesn't know LOL It is such an easy op though and they are soon over it. I remember taking Chris for his .It was a Vasectomy clinic and the waiting room was full of very nervous looking men waiting their turn which I thought was quite funny really considering all the things us ladies have to go through with our bits.
Oh Ann, I do hope that the Vet can give you some advice on Ruby and her food. It must be like a child refusing to eat.
I am sure I have missed some posts .I do aplogise .But I need to go and have a couple of paracetamol.

Well I am finished for the day in the garden. I went out after posting this morning, and only came in to have a roll and salad with a coffee. Oh and a cream doughnut. !!! I have potted over 150 seedlings and filled four of the potato sacks with the compost from the grow bags I have put FOUR seed potato's in each, so all being well I will do the rest tomorrow, and perhaps try planting some seeds in the veg patch.
Ros says she is feeling a lot better this afternoon, she must be, because she is sat on her little seat planting more plants in the big bottom bed where the Bush was.
She forgot to get a bottle of wine this morning to take to Jean's. I will ring John to see if he has a spare that I can buy. I don't want Ros having to go to Tesco again this afternoon.
Ann, You like me, must get fed up with being awake for so long at night. I really try to keep myself occupied during the day, so I don't drop of in the afternoon. But it doesn't seem to work. :-P :-P :-P Ros comes to bed and is asleep within minutes. It makes me so cross to hear her deep breaths so soon after coming to bed, and I have already been awake for up to TWO HOURS.
Going to get showered and shaved now, so I can watch some of the football before going out tonight. K.O. 5.15 pm So I should be able to see most of the match.
It has been so warm here I have had my T shirt off and do believe caught a bit of sun on my shoulders. ;-) ;-) ;-) More of the same tomorrow, I HOPE.
I trust you have all been able to enjoy the good weather, which I think is Country wide. Take care all, see you tomorrow, no doubt <3 <3 <3 <3

Back again :-)
Ann I didn't know that the Vivaldi Poatoes are the best ones. I have actually just bought 2 bags :-D .I do like them and often get them instead of the Charlottes .
That is good Ros is feeling better this afternoon Frank especially with going to your friends tonight for a meal.
Last night I woke up ,and looked at the clock .Thought it said 2.45am and realised that Chris hadn't come to bed. In a panic I got up and shot downstairs to find James in the kitchen and Chris stitting outside with a G&T.I said to James what on earth were they doing stiill up and that I had thought Dad had collapsed or something worse. I must have looked like some mad woman . He then told me it was actually on 11.45 !!!!!! So off I trotted back to bed and then gave Chris a flea in his ear for making me worried LOL
Ann ,you asked how my eye was. It has been fine for a few months until yesterday morning when I had another zigzag flashy thing. I wondered if it had maybe anything to do with taking the first of those anti fungal tablets. But more likely just a coincidence .
We have had the water sprinkler going in the garden for the last couple of days.We really need a good bit of rainfall .Not that we want it. Looks like it could be thermals out again after today . It has been so warm.Everyone out in shorts and T Shirts . I won't be wearing anything warm tomorrow when we go down to meet up with Gareth's parents Janice ,Hannah etc. I am sure the Pub where we are all meeting will be boiling .
I have been wondering all day what the smell is I can smell..... It is the flipping Rapeseed :-S :-S..God I hate that stuff :-S

Evening all,
It's been a bit cloudy here at times and quite chilly too.
Oh goodness Jane you needed a stiff drink when you got home ,but how lucky were they it could have been so much worse that it doesn't bear thinking about what could have happened the poor little girl she will be terrified now when she hears a motorbike. I take it the chap on the bike didn't stop ? i hope it's all caught on the camera . Yes i think it's good Max doesn't know whats going to happen , Colin has had a Vasectomy too . You'll check the clock better next time LOL
Ann it will be a shame if you have to cancel the glass fusion class , it seems funny having it upstairs they haven't thought perhaps that maybe a disabled person might like to do the class . Yes the kennel cough goes up the nose ,the vet took him off so the nurse could hold him while she did it .
Frank i'am glad Ros's blotches are fading now ,hope you both enjoy the evening out,a few drinks might help you sleep better tonight .
Not a lot been happening here did some shopping this morning and then called at sons with some fruit for the children ,i always buy them fruit instead of sweets . Colin has been painting the new back gate and a garden table and i have tried sitting out but it was too chilly so i sat in and did my crochet ,i'm making cushion covers for cushions to go on the beds in the back bedroom , the main colour is white with a little circle of a plumby colour in each square .
Lovely photo of little Ruby :-D she loves the camera :-D

Mandy ,if I liked Brandy I would have had a large one. I had a glass of wine :-) Honestly you wouldn't not have believed your eyes with what happened. It was so fast. The crazy man excellarated (sp? ) as he came through the lights and then took off even faster .I still can't believe how the girl and her Mum got away unhurt. The girl called Jessica had a pack of two Easter Eggs and a toy Dinosaur in her hands.I think the Dinosaur was her favourite toy as I heard her Mum ask if she still had it. When I dropped them off at the pub, Jessica said that she did the right thing by looking right and left and right again at the crossing 'cos that is what her Mum had told her to do.I said she was a good girl for doing that ,but it was just some naughty man who had been bad and very stupid.
Love the pic of Diva Ruby :-D :-D
