Afternoon All,
I see more innocent people have been killed or injured. As OH said it's easy as anyone can hire a van to do that and we all have knives in our kitchens. A few victims were foreign tourists. I thought about Hannah too and am glad she is safe. It must be a worry. Like you Frank, we steer clear of the Capital and any large gatherings of people. We each have to weigh up the risk and whether it will be enjoyable if we are looking over our shoulder while we are there. We just don't know when or where the next attack will be, only that there will be one.
Belated <3 <3HAPPY ANNIVERSARY FRANK and ROS <3 <3. I hope you enjoy your meal and I'm sure Ros can celebrate without alcohol same as me!! :-)
Jess's dress looked lovely (my sort of colours!) and James does look a lot like Chris. Is he taller than Chris? Fancy Benji leaving Thomas that present!! Maybe he's covering Thomas's scent now!
The Snapdragons are all planted now. Is it me or don't men have much commonsense!! The plants were in one of those polystyrene packs of 12. I noticed through the window that OH had planted about half, but was trying to get them out of the pack by pulling the stems and poking the narrow trowel in the individual compartments. I had to call him and told him to fetch a stick out of the greenhouse and poke it through the holes in the bottom of the pack to push the plants out!! He seemed amazed and said no-one had ever told him to do that before. It's a good job he's slightly deaf as I muttered under my breath as I walked away that no-one had ever told me either. :-) lol. Still he was good to plant them for me.

Ann I had to laugh about no-one telling you about that. I am just the same as you. Having had the nursery we always had plantlets come in poly trays and used to pop a load out before potting them all up.
O gosh Jane are you sure you did'nt lose it in bed? You would think you could see something that big but if it pinged it coud be anywhere. Perhaps its with Benji's poo you picked up?

Too much information Mandy. ;-) ;-) No doubt the nail will turn up when least expected.
Thanks for your good wishes. 39 years of a wonderful life for me. She has been everything I could have wanted.
We had the most amazing lunch today. It was in a pub/restaurant in Milton Malsor the next village to us. Dos had Stilton mushrooms for starter nd I had White bait. The mains were "THE BEST LUNCHES" which we had RIB OF BEEF ON THE BONE cooked for EIGHT HOURS. It was to die for and so much meat on a single Rib. with Roasts, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, Cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pudding. We were stuffed to the gills the time we finished. No room for a sweet. We came home and had forty winks in the armchair.
Pleased that Hannah is safe and sound and that Jess got home safely. What a to do for anybody travelling through that area. I saw on the news this evening about the BBC girl who ducked and dived out of the way of that van. She will have nightmares over that experience.
It's been decided that I am going to Devon, that weekend Conrad is coming home from Spain as it's Fathers day.
The mower I gave Jan. She said it's the best mower she has ever had. She has cut the lawn and it looks great.
Going to settle down for a bit of Tele, before a sandwich later this evening.

Sorry to have missed wishing you a Happy Anniversary for yesterday Frank & Ros and may you have many more to come, your meal sounded so nice. You can now look forward to your trip to Devon to stay with Family and have a well deserved rest.
Glad to hear Hannah & Gareth are safe, Jane from another terrible act of violence.
Have you located the missing nail yet maybe Benji ate it. I don't think Thomas would have appreciated his calling card on his food mat.

That was nice that Jan is very pleased with the mower you gave her Frank. Your meal sounded lovely. Oh would have had the Whitebait as he loves that and I don't mind it now after having a taster of his a while ago. I did'nt like the thought of all the eyes and innerds but was told not to think about them.
The cheese and biccies is all set out but no-one is at the table. I still feel full from lunchtime.
So you had a nice rest inthe garden this afternoon Mandy. I pottered but did'nt get as much sone as I wanted to. I have washed some large pots for the tom plants and one of my probagater lids as I am ging to sow some Lupins. I have bought the Galery Mixed and not the Russels as they are very tall and I have enough tall things now.

Nope not in my knickers Mandy LOL. I have a feeling it may be in the tumble drier with all the clothes . I bashed my finger on the door of the washing machine as i was taking the wet things out (made my eyes water). I was wearing my cotton gloves, but took the right hand one off as it was easier to load the drier without it.I have looked down the finger ofthe glove and it 's not there .Chris had a torch inspecting the garage floor !!!!!I have a tubular finger bandage on now just to protect . There was no bleeding or anything so I must have been completely separated from the nail bed. I am still a bit worried about 2 of my other nails .I really hope I can hang on to them.
James has left with Jess .She is going by train from Northampton to Euston. But fro mthere James has made her promise to get a taxi rather than tube to whatever station she now has to get to rather than London Bridge. He gave her plenty of cash .We all knew she was nervous about having to walk a bit of the way ,even though she was putting on a brave face. Benjy was a good boy and did what he needed to do in the garden before they went :-D So Thomas can now relax again. There has been some very amusing times with the 2 of them. I have a video clip I will send .
Watching the Concert now in Manchester. It is going be a wonderful but very emotional evening for everyone .
Frank, what a meal you had today. It sounded fantastic :-D :-D That Rib of Beef ! Mmmm.
I see that loads of arrests have been made today in connection with the Hell that happened last night. The Police and all involved must be under so much pressure .I just can't imagine the exhaustion and stress they must be suffering.
I think dinner is ready here now.

Silly me, I thought no one had been on here since my last message at 3pm not realising there was another page so I've only just caught up with the posts. :-S :-S ;-)
Have you found your nail yet Jane, that must of been a shock for everyone when you thought it might be in the food, good job it wasn't and that you noticed before dishing up.
I'm sure Jess will be okay getting home but James will be pleased when she rings/text to let him know she's home safely. I haven't watched anymore of the news this afternoon as we were watching some films on Channel 5, although because I recorded them it kept saying part recorded as our Sky dish had moved slightly and we didn't know so unfortunately we couldn't watch the end of the second film. Pity as it was a good one. OH has sorted it out now. I'm hoping we haven't lost to much of the last film as that says part recorded too.
You've been busy in your garden Mel, it sounds like it's going to be full of colour by the time you've finished. I took some photo's of my garden before on Sandra's camera, so if I ever work out how to get them onto my computer I'll send them to you all.
It sounds like you had a lovely meal Frank, did the weather dry up for you, if it didn't I hope you didn't get to wet.
Going to get a cuppa now then settle down to the last film I recorded. We've eaten our chocolate and it was very nice. :-) :-)

It must feel a bit weird without the nail Jane, but the finger thing should protect it. It feels weird when you cut a nail too short without losing it. Good idea for Jess to take a taxi. I know I would be twitchy around the stations but I expect there will be police about now.
It sounds like your old mower is much appreciated Frank! It should be nice to have a break in Devon so look after your knees'hips'back etc now won't you! I'm glad you enjoyed your meal, it sounds good, but I hope the whitebait doesn't repeat on you tonight!
Anne with you asking if Benjy ate the nail reminded me of when the blacksmith came to the local stables and how the dogs couldn't wait to get a bit of hoof trimmings!!!
OH has been busy today and dug over where the runners are going, planted them and put the sticks up, put sticks up to the sweet peas and filled a big pot for me to plant the cue in. He's putting sticks up for that tomorrow. I have managed to finish dusting everywhere, got the webs down and tidied. A big hoover up next, but I'm off to Grantham tomorrow and to pick up a parcel so that will have to wait.
Ooops...forgot to post this.

Good Morning to you all, Evening Kim,
Ros has gone off for the day to Henley-on-Thsmes to a warehouse of fabrics, The Stitchery-do has got a coach trip up. She should be home around 4/5 pm.
It's a horrible morning here, rain and wind. I am feeling cold so have put the Halogen lamp on.
Jane if every you wan't a ride out for meal ou should try "THE GREYHOUND" at Milton Malsor, I m sure you won't be dissapointed, especially if you like RIB OF BEEF. It's was the best I have every tasted and so much on it. We bought "doggy bag" home for Martines dogs.
The whitebait behaved it's self last night, but after that meal I just couldn't eat anything else. I have just had a couple of Weetabix this morning.
I must not forget to feed the fish later when it stops raining.
Didn't have a good night last night, knowing I had to wake Ros for 7.00 am. I ended up clock watching throughout the night. t least I can have a few zzzz as the house is quiet.
Glad there are no more deaths yet in London. It seems there are many with serious knife wounds. How well the Emergency Services performed. I see they are still arresting people today. Let's hope they get all that were involved. :-( :-( :-(

Afternoon all,
Wet raining and windy here too and it dos'nt look like it is going to ease up all day.
I was going to do some tieing up fo Clematis today as they seem to be growing a mile a minuet at present. They will be very wet and dripping so I may not do it.
Frank you catch up on some sleep today with Ros out and you will feel much better. Don't do anything silly while Ros is out, think of the nice time you will have in Devon and its only 5 days away.
Jane did you find the nail yet? It would be nice if it turned up just to put your mind at rest as to where it went.
When I sent the pictures my pc is still sending to Anne's old address and I did change it to her new one so I shall have to send them to her again.
I heard from William to say he had the pics. He also said that Carmel is taking all his tim e up at the moment and thats why he has'nt posted.

The wind and torrential has had them all down and they hav'nt flowered like this for a couple of years now because I split them up. I am talking about my delphiniums!!
It is so dark I have had to have the light on in the kitchen and as I could'nt go outside I had the whole fridge out. I found some garlic butter dated 2013 but I had got that out of the freezer about a month ago. It went in the bin together with a jar of cranberry sauce left over from Christmas with about a spoonful in it. I have a lovely lot of room in there now just ready for shopping day tomorrow.
Oh tells me we have this weather for the rest of the week.

Good afternoon all
Very cold and windy here but not much rain so Ruby got her walk.
I had a bad night as well seem to wake up every hour on the hour and more than usual trips to the loo.
Frank, Henley on Thames is quite close to here so a long journey for Ros, it's a shame the weather isn't better as it's very pretty along the river Thames, we used to go there often when Peter was with us.
Haven't got around to reading all the posts yet. i'm just going to dish up our dinner Shepherd's pie. carrots and cauliflower cheese. How do you manage to cook all your veg Frank? You do very well cooking that lot for one meal you put me to shame.

Afternoon All
Time to batten down the hatches I think. Thewind has really picked up now and the rain has arrived. :-P to Jellied Eels Frank. I don't think I couldeven bring myself to try them.
Mel your pics were lovely. The shed looks so good and the clock goes really well on there.
Well I managed ot get an appointment with a GP this morning. and NO I haven't found the nail :-S. it is not painful but feels horrible each time something touches or knocks it. I have to do some more skin scrapings and am being referred to a Dermatologist. I have decided to go privately as it is a long waiting list for the NHS. Wednesday morning it is a blood test .
Frank maybe not having a doze today will have been a good thing and that it might mean a better sleep tonight for you. I don't think Thomas has been further than the garden today. He has been skulking about ,maybe looking for Benjy !! :-)
That is nice you have heard from William Mel. I can imagine that he is a busy man with helping to look after Carmel now she is back home again. I expect she is still getting used to walking again after her op.
