O Frank I would have had an olive tree. You have done a nice lot today. Kept you busy so you should sleep well tonight. What are the trees you bought?
You were lucky nobody walked off with your leather jacket and how nice of the fella to keep it safe for you. See there are some good people in the world afterall.
Well it has rained here all afternoon. I did manage to get the Clematis on the patio tied up a bit without breaking it too much. They do like to grasp onto anything thats at leaf reach. It is only in a very small pot but I feed it well and it has lots of buds coming. Its one of the small flowered varities but I can't remember which one it is. It has little dark pink and white flowers.
Mandy you have done well in the garden today and got cleared up and the roses planted. Well done.
I am making sheep sh*t pie for dinner. hav'nt had one for a few weeks now and I just fancied one. Topped with breadcrumbs and cheese.

MORNING ALL,
Did'nt know if you would hear me through the rain. Its tipping it down here and its so dark. Is this what they call global warming? or is this fl;aming June? Its more like November, in fact I am sure we had warmer days in November last.
Doc's late morning so I shan't be around for a while.

Morning Mel, and all, Evening Kim,
Horrible night last night. I stayed uo to Midnight watching "VERA" thinking I would roll into bed and sleep. Oh no !! laid until 1.00 am when Ros came in, then I got up till 3.45. Did manage to sleep until 7.00 But that was it. I laid awake thinking of the Family which didn't help in me going to sleep again. Ros got up at 8.00 and I soon followed.
Mandy I meant to say yesterday. That our Clematis that grew into the Cherry tree. We cut it right back and it's come up beautifully with strong growth and lovely flowers. TOO LATE I HEAR YOU SAY :-P :-P :-P SORRY xxx
Jane I do feel for you not being able to do things with your hands. You must get so frustrated. Is there not an ironing service in or around Kettering that you could use also get one of these services who come and do your housework. It would seem to me that you need to completely lay off doing anything with your hands, until they start to heal.
Mel, If I had known you wanted the Olive trees, I could have got them down to you at sometime in the future. What a shame that I never mentioned them before Carol said she would have them.
No plans for today apart from Voting and collecting the prescriptions. Ros can then get my box's filled for our trip to Devon on Monday.
We spoke with Conrad last night. He was so pleased that Simon has made contact. I must try to get Simon's telephone number from someone, so I can give him a ring. The numbers including his mobile come up as unobtainable. I have asked two family members, but with no success. Conrad will be flying into Exeter at about 10.30 pm Friday night. So I might still be up when he gets home.
Ros has been on "Jewellery Maker" this morning a bought a string of Black Diamonds and solid silver beads. Those will make another piece for her collection. She must have close to 100 necklaces, plus all the bracelets. in her box's. She will never wear them all. BUT IT KEEPS HER HAPPY, and ME POOR LOL LOL.
Horrible morning here also Mel, Wind and cloud, so I expect we will get the rain later.
Hope you are all well, and keep safe xx.

Still blowing here and a little rain in the air.
Been to the doc's again and all she told me was to keep taking the pills. She said I needed another blood test to see if my vitimins were alright so I asked her if Chris could do it today and she looked on the puter and she had a slot at 12. 10pm so I went straight in and had two from one arm first hit and then she said she needed a blue one too which she had forgotten so I had one hit in my other arm and that filled the tube too. She is a good nurse. I tell her to do the band thing up really tight as I think thats better than when Maria does it I can hardly feel the band round my arm.

Glad thats all out of the way Mel, I need a blood test in the next month, thanks for reminding me.
What a filthy day we have here. Very windy almost dark and now the rain has started.
Ros popped up and got the Scripts. then onto Tesco for another bag of soil for the bushes/trees. I don't know the name of them but they are evergreen about 7 ft tall with little branches sticking out down the trunk with tuffs of green foliage , I think you can train them into Topiary, with trimming in a few years, I might be totally wrong, but there you go. !!!
We have voted and when we came home we decided it's cold enough for a SOUP, so that's what we had. SOUP in June, it should have been salad. ;-) ;-)
I put on a little coat to go to vote. I hadn't worn it since last November as it still had a poppy pinned to it. :-D :-D :-D
If Fitz come to lunch today, I bet they didn't sit outside :-( :-( :-( Unless they had their waterproofs on LOL
Have got all my stuff on the bed that I am taking to Devon, Jumpers included. Ros will sort them and fold them for my case. She does it better than me.
Roast Chicken tonight, on of those COOK IN A BAG. It was reduced so she bought it this morning. I assume it will be alright, as I normally prepare my own. Will let you know !!!

Getting all ready to head down here then Frank. I hope the weather changes when you get down here. Are you bringing your pooter as we klike to keep in touch.

Afternoon All,
It's been dry here all day up to now but I don't think it will last much longer! It's very breezy though.
Frank you do have some adventures!! You were lucky to get your leather jacket back and I can just picture you in the car with the trees, peering out like a Japanese sniper! lol. The new trees sound interesting but I would want to know what they were because of looking after them. It's good you found a home for the Olive trees. Hope you have a nice time in Devon and that the weather improves for you.
Mel, how many pills do you take now? I find it hard enough to remember my 2. I bet it is a bit of an ordeal when you have blood tests and they have difficulty. Good it all went smoothly today. :-) I hate tying up Clematis as it is so brittle and I usually break some bits off. One of ours seems to prefer climbing the trellis than the obelisk it is supposed to grow up.
Jane I can only imagine just how fed up you must be with the limitations your hands are causing. I get very frustrated at my knees making everything harder to do, but your hands are needed for everything you do. :-S :-S Pity our Maureen doesn't live closer.........she would do your ironing wouldn't she! :-) I hope you get to see someone soon and some better treatment. It can't be easy even doing simple things like wash your hair.
When we were coming home yesterday we saw an air ambulance and OH said how low it was. We then turned into the road into the village where that body of a young girl was in the back seat of a car after a staged accident. We soon came across police cars and 3 motorbikes left at the side of the road and another motorbike pointing towards the ditch with a helmet beside it. There was no ambulance so we think the helicopter had probably airlifted someone to hospital. We couldn't see any cars involved.
We went to vote after lunch and there seemed to be quite a few people there.

Afternoon Everyone
Frank, when are you off to Devon?Jumpers sound a good idea .How about a Sou'wester :-D. Just a bit of rain here so far today just as I went to vote. It was down at the village Hall in Cranford . Two men sat in there with the electric fire on on the wall .Not another voter there. So I have done my bit now. Chris did his vote on the way home from Cambridge and Fitz went to do his when he left here.James will vote on the way home from work.
Frank, Chris will do any ironing I cant do. I refuse to pay £1 a shirt !!! for someone else to do. Saying that Fitz takes his ironing to someone but his OH doesn't know ! LOL.He pretends he does all his shirts himself !!!! What is he like!!!!!
I finally got a new iron . What a performance.I chose one (not in stock) I chose a second that was in the sale(not in stock) so the girl suggested this other one .I said I will take it LOL. I just had had enough. Also when I was in Currys I knocked my thumb nail and that has now split right across the middle half way down. Its one of my affected nails :-S.So that is all taped up now. Honestly I am fed up to the back teeth now with it all . But realise it is something that is going to take a long time to get better. Anyone have a magic wand ? :-D

I have a magic wand Jane. I'll give it a whirl and cast a spell.
I have done ALL my ironing. I must admit I hav'nt seen the bottom of the linen basket for about a year!!!!!!!!! I use a dumpy to take it out of the machine and put it on the line but whats needing to be ironed goes in the basket.
Just having a drink and we have burgers for tonight so nice and easy but fiddley with the chopped onions, cheese, sauce etc.

Ann did you ever hear anymore about the dead girl in the car? It sounds like a nasty accident yesterday with the Motorbike if the Air Ambulance was in attendance.
It is a bright and breezy evening here. But loads of dark clouds on the horizon.I am trying to get Thomas out now but he is not interested. Full of Bunnies from this morning I think :-S
Hannah has had a three hour written exam today. She is pooped now. Another 3 hr exam on Tuesday. But she has said the new settee has arrived and is now in :-D :-D Anyone sitting up tonight to see the results of the election coming in? I used to stay up most of the night but just don't have the staying power these days. Maybe if I wake in the night I might just have a look in and see what is happening. I will be glad when it is all over . Which ever party gets power I just hope they do a good job !!

The girl that was found in the car happened a couple of weeks or so ago and there's been nothing more about it since other than it was a 'staged accident' with the motorbike.
There were no ambulances with the motorbikes yesterday so we assumed the Air Ambulance had attended with it being so near and low as if it had just taken off. It's a winding, hilly road and has a fast straight stretch with a hidden dip.
I see it said in today's paper that the couple that were found dead (the one where OH had met the woman at his meetings) had committed suicide together. I know she was housebound after a bad stroke some time ago, but I was surprised at suicide with her very religious background having been a former Canon of Leicester Cathedral.
That was a battle to get your new iron Jane. How annoying to damage your poor thumbnail though. I had to chuckle at Fitz letting his OH think he does the ironing! One day he could come unstuck methinks!!! lol.
I forgot I take joint tablets too Mel! We just had a sharp burst of rain. What a shame the baby Wrens had gone by the time you got your camera. :-S
OH always stays up for the voting results but I just watch bits of it!

Morning all,
A bit calmer out there today at the moment. Still have grey skies but only a breeze today. We have had a little sun here and there. It would be nice if it cheered up a bit as this kind of weather gets everyone down.

Morning Mel and all my other friends including DAVID (what a surprise) Evening Kim.
Again last night went to bed at 11.00 pm up again by 1.00 am until 3.30 Watched some of the results coming in, but got bored so turned it off and went back to bed.
Jane we are off to Paignton on Monday. Jan is up to her daughter Kerry's for her birthday and will collect us sometime Monday. The forecast for next week is very good, so I should be able to have a walk along the front. She will bring us home when we are ready or I have had enough !!!
Thanks girls, I haven't taken my tablets yet this morning. I should take 7 in the morning and 5 at night, but I try to drop my pain killers, and just have them when I feel I need them. I hate taking things if I feel I don't need them.
Hows all the doggies and the pussy cat this morning. Hating this rain I expect, with them not being able to have the freedom of the gardens, to chase around.
We have heavy cloud and wind again this morning. Some of Ros's pots have been blown over again in the night. I will have to see if I can make some permanent fixtures to the garage wall to support them. Not at the moment as it's RAINING, and I need use use my ELECTRIC DRILL. So a complete NO NO. !!!

O Monday then and don't forget the camera Frank or your laptop.
The post are few and far between with Jane having sore fingers and where is Gill? Hope she is ok and not feeling bad again.
Just had some toast amd My Mate so I could take my pills. I feel all itchy again this morning. I just wish it would all go away. Not only for me but for Jane too. It just gets you down when things go on for a long while.
Those trees you bought sound to me like what they call Cloud Trees. You will have to secure those if they are that tall or they will blow over easily.
