Morning All

Yes Thomas arrived home just before I went to bed the other night .Luckily I spotted him on the patio si I grabbed him quick before he went off again :-D.Last night he was in by 8.30 so was a good boy :-D

Mel what a lovely pic of the Mummy Pheasant and Babies . Did I count 4 little ones?
Fancy the Hogs coming out too while it was still daylight !!!!

Oh your itches seem to be spreading if it is now your head !!!. :-( :-(

WE have the Plumber here now fitting the new sink unit in the garage. Her has parked his van right behind my car so I will have to ask him to shift it as I need to go out.

Hannah arrives this afternoon .Chris will pick her up from Northampton Station just after Ipm.

Mandy ,I hope that the Scan appointment comes through really quickly for OH. The sooner the better as you need to know what is going on.I am sure you will both be worrying, and it is hard not to isn't it. You will have to keep yourselves busy to take your mind of it for now. <3

I really must get moving now. Looks like Frank is going to have a lovely sunny day again . It is a bit on the cloudy side here at the moment.

Yea Jane it's been another lovely day. We have been so lucky wether wise. Glad Thomas is home and I trust behaving himself.

I left here for my walk at 10.45 am Sat and walked, walked and sat. Went on their for a coffee and another sit. I noticed on the pier a fish stall which had everything you could ask for including Devon Dressed Crab. I rang Ros, No connection, so tried Jan, went to Answer phone, I wanted to know if they fancied Dressed Crab for lunch. After almost three quarters of a hour no return call. So I walked home to see if they wanted one. NO THANKS. I said there is no point in taking my phone, if I need you as you don't answer it. I then went off again to the Harbour, had another sit and a chat to a chap who has just retired down here from Birmingham. He loves it, and only been here since October.

I called in at the "HARBOUR INN" for a couple of pints and walked home again. It's now passed 2.00 pm. Jan wanted the lawn cut before Conrad gets home, so I got the mower out and did over three quarters of it, and just had to pack up. My back and shoulder/neck is killing me. I'm not letting Jo near it again, I think it's worse now than before she massaged it.

Ros has just had a shower and washed her hair. I followed on, but didn't shave, I'll do that in the morning.

I see only Jane has posted today. Where are you all. ???

Jan will go off for Conrad at about 9,30 pm. He's due in at 10.3. I don't expect to be up when he gets home, I'll see him in the morning.

My goodness where is everyone today??

Frank,I hope you kept that hat on in the sun :-). Our sun disappeared and it has been quite cloudy this afternoon.
The Plumber fitted the sink ,and Chris has taken the disgusting old one with the old unit to the tip. So we are sorted again in the garage .

Ann,I always find the mop handle works loose.I don't really understand why it should happen. It's a flipping nuisance . I have tried all kinds of makes of mops and am yet to still find one I am happy with. Sometimes I give up and use those big floor wipes . They do the trick .But a bit back breaking unless I push them around under the squeegee mop.

Hannah is so tired after a heavy couple of weeks with exams and the move to the new flat. She has brought no work with her for the weekend which is good. She said she is going to have a very early night tonight.Tomorrow she will she her old school friend Hannah for a coffee or a drink down the Red Lion and then tomorrow evening she will be going to Market Harborough with the gang for a Birthday meal.

I think it will be the fan on again in the bedroom tonight and foe several nights if it is going to be as hot as they say.

Chris is watering the garden.

MY FIRST POSTS ON THE LAST PAGE.

I have done two lots of washing and hoovered right through. Done some gardening and sorted out my strawberries which were rather crowded and went up for my scripts. They kept me waiting half an hour.

Its been a nice day here and comfortable with it.

We have chinese style chicken tonight but I am not sure what o have with it yet.

Evening all,

It's been a bit cooler today i think but it should get hotter tomorrow ,the pool is warming up nicely so i expect the little ones will be in there tomorrow or sunday .
I got all my ironing done today don't want to have to iron in the heat ,also got a load of towels washed .

Colin has had a call from the hospital today about his scan ,could he go this sunday morning ,but as the doctor said he wanted an up to date kidney function test done first he has an appointment for the scan for next friday afternoon .

Jane your dress looks lovely on you ,just the thing to wear with the heat we should have .
That will do Hannah good to have some chill time after her exams and the move to her new place .
Glad to hear young Thomas turned up ok ,i bet he'll be under the hedge in the shade tomorrow .

Mel that's a nice photo of mum Pheasant with her babies and nice to see the hogs out in day light ,what was in the last photo ? i carn't make out what it is .

You've had a good walk today Frank sounds as if your really enjoying your time by the sea ,you won't want to come home .
We had a Cromer Crab at lunch time ,i always buy one and dress it myself as we like to pick the meat from claws .
Your using the mower you couldn't get on with at yours so no wonder your back aches , i hope you've had your hat on today .

Evening All, I'm here :-D :-D

Frank I think this is turning out to be a great break for you and it's good you can potter about yourself and have a chat with different folk. I'm not surprised your shoulders hurt after the massage. I think sometimes that happens before they start to feel better. OH is still wincing with his shoulder blade and has already said for me to rub some of that 'Deep Heat' gel on it again tonight. He is itching to get on with things but has just sat doing his notes again today. He's in the bath now hoping a good soak in warm water will help!!

That's another job done then Jane......the new sink! It's good to get these things done. Hannah is very sensible to give her brain a nice break and exams are very tiring with all the concentration needed.

I was talking to a couple of friends at beading this morning about mops!! One does just the same as you Jane and uses one of those big floor wipes under one of those oblong dust mop things for hard floors. Another said she has found a really good steam mop that is quite cheap and that she can do her kitchen floor in a few minutes. She also reminded me about the Dyson Cordless vacuum and said she got hers reduced price as they have now brought out a more powerful, but heavier one. She reckons hers fetches her cat hair up a treat (2 cats!) and doesn't hurt her arthritic shoulder. I feel a shopping spree coming on, anything to make these jobs easier!!

I'm sleeping a bit better now with the window open and the sheet over me and duvet just pulled up to my knees! lol.

Mel those sweet little chicks!! I hope nothing gets them. The Hedgehogs look well fed as indeed they are! You are lucky getting the pretty Goldfinches on your feeder. We used to get them sometimes but I haven't seen one for years now. The new houses being built are taking up their habitat.

I think it will be an early night for us tonight and catch up with the Supervet and the Yorkshire Vet we have recorded. Did anyone watch the Real Full Monty last night? I thought it was quite good and brave of them to do it to highlight awareness for men to check themselves.

Good Evening All

We have just finished our salad meal along with pork pies, ham, quiche and hard boiled eggs and coleslaw.

Ruby is walking much better now putting her foot to the ground more often than not, she still has 3 tablets to go. On Tuesday she has her monthly visit to the veterinary nurse so she will have her usual checks then.

They were lovely photos of the birds Mel, sorry to hear you are still itching.

Pleased to hear Thomas has turned up Jane and I loved the photos of your garden.

You have been lucky with your weather Frank, all that sea air and sun must be doing you good both mentally and physically lets hope your garden is getting watered for you.

The last photo was of my beach stones soaking in a bucket but when I looked in one day I could see two fairies on the big pinky stone. I love looking for faces and things in strange places like tree trunks and the clouds or on mossy stone walls.

Oh has been digging out the side of our road so he can lay blocks down as the edge of the lawn that side is sinking with the heavy mowers going over it. Then he wants to do it around the bungalow and gravel the front and up the road to the bend as the tarmac is breaking up badly now. More ecpense!! :-0 :-0

Morning All

It is already hot.I have flung all windows and doors open to get a bit of fresh air in the house before I have to draw the the curtains later when the sun is to fierce.
I think I will get the things I need done early and then I will do nothing much .Probably just hang around the big fan :-D :-D

KEEP THAT HAT ON FRANK :-D

James has just gone off for a haircut and then he is shopping for whatever he needs for the meal he is cooking tomorrow.Hannah still asleep and Chris wandering around the garden in his dressingown with a mug of tea.

Mandy that pool will be just the ticket today :-D :-D

So it was Fairies I was looking for Mel LOL

Did anyone see the pic of the cloud that was the shape of Great Britain ?

Morning all from a VERY HOT PATIO. Evening Kim,

I laid awake this morning from SIX and felt so hot I got up at 7.00 and made tea and have been sitting outside. It's got to hot to stay out and it's not even 10.00 am.

Ros Jan and Ella went off to pick Conrad up last night and left me baby sitting with JJ. Jo went out with some friends and was collecting him around 9.30 pm That turned out to be 11.15 pm I was so ready for my bed, that I just left everything and got my head down. I felt Ros in the bedroom getting undressed but never spoke. I was up and sitting outside as I said. She is still sleeping.

All three of us worked so hard in the garden yesterday afternoon, so everything looked good for Conrad coming home. He has been having a lie in and gathering his thoughts. He SOLD THREE VILLA'S yesterday, and has all the paper work to sort out over the weekend so he is going to be busy.

The BABY seagulls have ventured out this morning. Mum is close by and telling them off when they move to far down the roof.

I see we will be having the "full Monty" breakfast/brunch this morning. There is Sausags, Bacon, Mushrooms, Tomato's and a tray of eggs on the unit by th cooker. That will be followed by Toast and Marmalade and more tea/coffee. We won't want to do much after that.

I'm pleased to hear Ruby and Thomas are alright and I assume Max is as well Mandy.

Yes Mel, the photo's were beautiful, It's so lovely to see nature in it's raw state.

I think I had better go and raise Ros, Too late she has just come out, still here parts asleep. <3 <3

Wow FRank after that big Breakfast you will be full up until tonight. I have come in as it is too hot for me outside. I will sit out again for lunch though when Hannah's friend Hannah gets here. I have a big pizza ready to pop in the oven ,salads, bread sticks and Parma Ham to wrap around the sticks, Olives.I think that will be fine. Hannah has not long had her breakfast as she did a 40 minute run (IN THIS HEAT !!!!!). Mad I say.

The other Hannah has arrived. She has an open back to her top and I can see Words Tatooed down her back.Must have a look and see what they say :-D The girls have known eachother since they were 3.

Mel ,why don't you just make an appointment with another GP in the practice .You can't go on like this. This heat won't be helping either now.

FRank I bet the Baby Seagulls look quite clumsy on the roof .They are funny little things . I bet there are many people who get really fed up with all the seagulls down there. I do love the sound them though, especially when their calls echo around the cliffs :-D

Bet Mandy is having a dip in that pool now :-D

Is Ruby still improving Anne?. Has she been able to have a little walkie yet?

Gareth and his Parents have gone to the 3 Counties show down in Gloustershire today.I can't imagine anything worse in this heat. I have a feeling Janice and Larry might be going there too. Hannah is very relieved she is here LOL

Well fed to the gills, they are talking of going shopping for some flip flops for Conrad, as he only bought the shoes he was wearing, and hasn't any here. He's size 11 or he could use mine size 9. He has to get himself dressed as he won't go out in shorts with ordinary shoes on.

My neck is getting so bad, I feel it needs a support of pillows at all times. When I bend my neck the pain is shooting up and down it.

We are going to Jo's around 5.00 pm. She has been out and bought everything for a BBQ. So that's us sorted for tonight. Conrad, well Jan has booked a table for lunch tomorrow for fathers day. Not sure what time as yet, so won't want a lot of breakfast tomorrow morning.

How nice is that Jane, to still be friends after all these years, and to have the same name !! I think I would be content with your lunch today, in fact that would last me all day. Hannah is very brave out running in this heat. I see them on the beach road with a backpack on running up and down, and think to myself. YOU MUST BE MAD ;-) ;-)
I'm going to lie on the bed to give my neck a rest. see you all later.

Afternoon all,

Phew to hot out there now we are in next to the fan ,Max is laying sprawled out at my feet having his doze ,the family have been in the pool this morning they were here by ten o'clock and straight in the pool they didn't get out until nearly twelve ,when they came out they were like wrinkled prunes :-D
They will be here again tomorrow for another swim , i might go in tomorrow .

Jane the patterned dress is pretty , they suit you .
How can Hannah run in this heat !!! i bet she was glad to get out of going to the show though with Gareth and his Parents as i expect they would be looking at all the cattle and it wouldn't be Hannah's kind of thing :-S

Sounds as if you are being fed well there Frank ,i bet it's nice having a break from the cooking .
Do you think some Deep Heat cream on your neck might help ?

Oh has bought me a present today. He bought himself a long handled shovel and spade and a plonker plonker for him to do the side of the road. They came in long boxes and the plonker was just wrapped in a piece of corrigated cardboard with bubble wrap round the bottom.

Mine came in a HUGE box with miles and miles of paper. I will take a pic and send it.

Afternoon All,

Phew......and more phew........30 degrees when we got in the car this morning!! I bet the children have really enjoyed the pool today. They'll be asking to come every day now till it's emptied Mandy. I wonder if Max has been trying to get in too!! :-) Did you try your cossie on?

We went for our 'Sunday Lunch' today and the manager said as soon as we walked in 'had we changed days to avoid the Father's Day rush'........yes!! So Frank, it's the full Monty for us tomorrow!! :-) Conrad did well yesterday selling 3 villas, but as you say, he now has to get the paperwork done!

We have just lounged about most of today, but may go out in a bit to look at the steam mops and cordless hoovers in Sainsburys as they are on offer. We did some watering first thing this morning, but need to water other stuff tonight.

Mel I think you really need to see someone else about your itching. It must really be driving you mad now it's your head as well. The tablets aren't working are they if it's spreading.

OH is still wincing with his back, but has got more notes done this afternoon so that is good.

One of the garden centres we use is replacing a 'Brantano' space with one for 'The Works' and opens tomorrow. OH has a 30% off voucher for them so I think I shall top up some art supplies and OH is sure to find a book.....or two!! :-)

I got some lemons this morning so better go and get squeezing them for some home made lemonade. :-D

Jane Report 17 Jun 2017 17:00

Hannah is now in the shower geting ready to go out this evening. It was so nice to see the other Hannah .She gave us the low down on lots of people they were at school together She still lives in Kettering . She was a little horror at the age of 4/5 and would torment and pinch Hannahs face.I think that was when her parents split up and the Father was abusive.

So now I am inside as it is far too hot to sit out. The fan is just wonderful :-D

Mel we get so many packages like yours . How ridiculous to put all that packaging in .
The best one we had was for (I think ) some socks or something . They could have just been put in an envelope !!

I have just realised I havent thought about dinner tonight. It will have to be sausages ,bread and whatever is left over from lunch :

Tell that Buzzy Fly to just Buzz off Mel :-D..Why do flys always fly away from where you are trying to get rid of them .I so often get them almost to the open window and thinking they will fly out but then they make a reverse turn around and fly back into the room :-S :-S

Anne

Anne Report 17 Jun 2017 17:16

good afternoon all

I have been very lazy today as it's far too hot to do much, I could do with a dip in Mandy's pool right now..

Ruby got me up at 3.30 this morning partly because with no walks she wasn't too tired at bed time. She went in the garden to do her toilet duty and then she had a cuddle downstairs until 7.30. As she is so manic when she's out for a walk I daren't risk it at the moment until her foot is 100%

That is a pretty dress Jane, just right for this hot weather.

Frank you are in the best place by the sea. I hope you enjoy your father's day meal
tomorrow. Is your neck easing off now, maybe it's sleeping in a different bed that's caused it.

Mel have you asked for advice from the pharmacist about your itches. ours is always very helpful.

Hope you enjoyed your "Sunday Meal" Ann and you had a nice cool spot to sit in.
