Happy birthday for Richard.
Its been raining here for three days and today it was cold. I had to put my coat on to do the chickens this morning and tonight. There is a wind up now and it blew my cue plant over and broke the top off one of my two tom plants and it was the Aungold one my favorite.
This afternoon lateish oh spotted a hog alongside the box hedge up the orchard. It was a long way away but I tried to get a pic but I think they both came out back view.
Well off for my shower now so see you all in the morning.

Morning my little sweet peas, Evening Kim,
Ruby might be a little better if you could rub something in her gums. Clove oil, is suppose to be good, or you could try Bongella. Anything will be better than pain.
No I didn't tell Ros, "least said soonest mended" as they say. I know I would have been in for a telling off. Right hip giving me a bit of gip this morning.
My Emails just aren't coming through, I will have to have a word with Jonathan, to see if he can fix it again !!!
Poor you Mel, all this rain, snd now an accident with your cues and toms..
Ann, I can understand you women thinking of giving up on the class's. If you aren't being taught new things. Anyway with all your experience, I am sure you could manage on your own.
Roa started making a diamond bracelet yesterday. The holes in the stones are so minute, she has to use a glass thingy to see what she is doing, then the Bl@@dy wire broke, as it's so fine. So I don't know what she will do now.
New dress then Jane ? What about a new hat ?? You can't have one without the other, CAN YOU. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Gill that is a lot of weight loss in six months. How is he in himself ?? I hope he goes on alright.
Our friend Sue who has Cancer had a check up on Monday, and the Cancer has decreased slightly on the liver. The Doctor said she has 50/50 chance of survival. She in her late 60s Poor thing. Our neighbour across the road has Cancer in his Body Mass as well as in his bones. They keep trying different treatments, but nothing seems to have any effect. The silly old Bu@@er is still smoking, but I say, if he enjoys it, do it. It's not going to make any difference now. He still tries to tend his ROSE BUSHES, as they are his pride and joy.
Ros is out later with Carolyn. She has to take something back (JUMPER) to Billing Garden Centre. Then get the veg for the weekend, I expect they will be out for most of the day knowing them.
Martine has a lot on her plate at the moment. Her Uncle George is in hospital after a nasty fall. He's 99 and is hoping to make the CENTRY. Her brother is also in hospital, and had half his stomach taken away with keyhole surgery. He has diverliwkulitis and not doing to well. On top of that her husband Brian is a virtual invalid, with his heart condition. How she stays so positive and cheerful I will never know.
On that happy note I will bid you farewell, Have a good day, now that the weather seems to be brightening.

Afternoon All,
Mel that is just how I was a few days this week till yesterday. I thought I must have slept funny on my neck, had a slight headache and felt too tired to be bothered to do much. I thought Wednesday night that I wouldn't be able to go to the research meeting on Thursday. Maybe it is a bug we have caught?
After months of searching, I ordered 2 tall vases online for my cupboards and they arrived yesterday. One is smashed to smithereens despite lots of bubblewrap around them!! The nearest store that has them in stock is Rugby, so I've got them to reserve one for me as stocks are low. We can pick it up tomorrow morning as the place we have sunday lunch is well on the way there so it will fit in nicely. I want to get some of those tall straplike dried leaves to go in them so will pop out soon to see if they have any at one of the garden centres along the A5. We've had Sansevaria in red green and purple pots like flowerpots before but we have the blinds shut when we go out so OH's laptop and work stuff can't be seen from outside and the lack of light has left them in a sorry state. The artificial leaves will look better I hope!
Ros' friend Martine has an awful lot on her plate as you say Frank. These trips out with Ros must help cheer her up though and take her mind of things for a while. Yes, I know one of my friends whose house we meet up at times is keen to have us go to hers to do beading, so that may be the answer! She cooks delicious snacks for us, having trained in domestic science, so that would be a bonus too! The year's cost for our classes is £300 now, you can buy a lot of beads for that........or I could go to more fused glass workshops and I am keen to do some pottery as well!! The bracelet Ros is making sounds quite fiddly with the small holes. That is the trouble with fine wire too.......it tends to break! I wonder if she could use thread instead, some of the strong fishing line called Fireline? Or the clear stretchy stuff called Microfilament?
I'd better get a move on now!! BBL.:-)

Well I am still "BILLY NO MATES" I have no idea when to expect madam. I am beginning to feel hungry, but don't know if she will be bringing anything home with her for lunch. Sods law if I get something, she will bring something ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Weather has improved here. It's quite warm outside, I have the doors open in the conservatory. There is hardly a breeze, but a fair bit of cloud around.
I am going to ring Simon's wife later to see if they would like to meet up for lunch next Sunday. I haven't heard from him, so I thought I would make a move. ;-) ;-) See what the response will be like. I can only try !!!
Thanks for that info. Ann. I will mention it to Ros, if she wants me to I could look on line for it (NOT A PUN). I'm getting so sharpe, I might cut myself LOL LOL

Afternoon All Muggy cloudy day here. I have been up since 5.30 after waking at about 4.20. I gave up trying to go back to sleep so came downstairs and hung yesterdays washing out,fed the birds had a cuppa and put my feet up on the settee to watch a bit of rubbish tv.I had a bath and was ready to go out by just after 9. Popped to the Vets to get Flea and Worm stuff for Thomas, then collected a prescription and did a quick shop in Sainsbury. I was home by 11 :-D.Done some ironing and now my fingers are suffering so that is it now for a few hours.
How are Ruby's gums today Anne? Have you tried putting the teething ring in the fridge to make it nice and cold on her gums?I suppose it is the same as a baby and once teeth come through all will be fine again. I remember finding Chesters baby teeth around the place :-)
Frank, I hope you manage to get your email problem sorted soon. You might get zillions suddenly arrive once you are up and running again. :-D
Ann ,I hope that you will be able to continue your beading classes. But as you say you need to be learning new things . You have so much experience though ,you could probably be able to do new things on your own. Maybe set up your on classes ;-)
Crumbs Frank there seem to be so many very ill people around you at the moment :-(
Mel I hope that you aren't coming down with something. You do sound crook today <3
James had a bet again on one his bosses horses that ran at Newmarket yesterday. He won £50 .He had a bet on another horse at Doncaster Races. You will never guess what the horse was called....... Jane Rose LOLOL. He said he just had to do it.Didn't win anything there. I said the horse must have been slow just like me :-D :-D.. Fancy calling a horse my name !!!
Well the sun is out now :-D.I am going to have to put a cooler top on before we go down to water all my neighbours things.

Fancy betting on an old NAG called "Jane Rose". LOL LOL That was a nice touch of £50.00 on his boss's horse. DON'T WASTE IT !!!
Jane it has turned so warm here, I am topless and in shorts, and still very warm.
Roa did a wash last night and put it on the airer in the conservatory. When it warmed up in there this morning, it was dry in no time. I have folded it up and put in the basket for ironing.
Ros has some of that Fineline, she is about to try that now. !!
I think I will take my book outside, it's not sunny, but so stuffy in doors, even with everything open.

Evening all,
It's been a nice day here ,we've been out in the garden this morning getting a few jobs done and this afternoon we sat out in the sun shine it was so nice and warm and i could have quite easily dropped off to sleep .
Mel your owl is nice , have you got a place in the garden for it ? and the daisy one was huge i wasn't expecting to see it looking so big ,the chap who made them was a craftsman .
Well done to James for his win on the horses ,hope he didn't lose to much on Jane Rose :-D You were up and about early this morning Jane , it's the best part of the day really every where is so quiet with just the birds singing ,you'll be ready for bed early tonight .
Poor Ruby with her teething ,i use to put one of Max's chews in the freezer to try and cool his gums ,i did also buy some gel to rub on his gums which helped too.
Ann that's a shame about your beading classes but it's quite a bit of money to pay out if your not learning any thing new ,it would be nice if you could meet up at the lady's house even if it's only once a month or some thing . Oh that's a pity about the vase getting smashed but lucky you found they had one in stock at the store .
Suns still shining so i better take Max for his walk .

Phew it has turned really warm now ! Lovely blue sky too. I think the pollen count must still be very high as both Chrtis and I are all snuffly and sneezy. Thomas has arrived and his fur is full of sticky grass seeds (or some kind of seeds). I have had to give him a good brush to get them all out.He now looks lovely and sleek..under he goes off hunting again. :-S.He must still be moulting too as I keep finding great chunks of his fur all over the house.
Ann ,that sounds a good idea if one of the ladies is keen to have beading at hers.A perfect solution, and even better with her nice tasty goodies :-D :-D
What a shame one of your vases was smashed..But lucky that you have managed to find another and can pick it up tomorrow. Do you have to take a pic of the broken one just to prove that it arrived in that condition ?
Frank,I think that is good idea to give Sally a call about meeting up for a meal. You might have to wait for ever for Simon to make the move lol
I think i will need a couple of matchsticks soon to keep my peepers open. This waking up so early in the mornings is crazy. `I think if I didn't have to get up for the loo then, I would sleep until the normal wake up time.. I know too that it really annoys Chris as I wake him with all my faffing about. But at leastHE can go back to sleep !!
Dinner in the oven now. Spicey sausages for Chris and Linconshire ones for me, Roasted Mediterranean veg and some Veg and Mozzarella Risotto Balls.

Oh Mel. Do you think a nice warm bath might help you?It might be worth a try.
I have got the fan on here now.Dinner is ready but I am not ready. I ate quite late at lunch time ,but I reckon Chris will have his. He just said it smells lovely.I have been saying lately that I don't seem to be able to taste some foods properly. I looked up side effects of these anti fungal tablets and see that loss of taste can be one. :-S. I am hoping that when I finish the course my taste will get back to normal again.
Frank I will not be wearing a hat or a fascinator for the wedding. I look a right twerp in a hat.I have worn them in the past for weddings but looking back at photos I see just how much they don't suit me.I think also as this wedding is an outdoors one in wooded /country setting that hats could be a bit OTT although I am sure there will be some hats.
Ann you asked it Fitz has lost weight. Yes he has. He says not but as you can see by the pics he has slimmed down a lot. Not on purpose though. I think he is one of these lucky people who the older they get tend to just seem to slim down.I keep hoping I might be one of those LOL.But no sign of it happening yet. :-S. A magic wand would be good :-D

My word you were up early and got lots done Jane! Fancy you having the same name as a racehorse!! lol. I hope James didn't lose his winnings betting on your namesake!! :-) We are taking the broken vase in Jane. I know online they sometimes just send another without needing the other back. I suppose it saves them postage.
Well I didn't get on very well this afternoon.I had just gone into the garden centre when I got an excruciating tummyache!! I went to the loo but it didn't seem to be that so I went outside to look at the pots.......another horrid pain and I decided I did need the loo!! I tried carrying on but when it happened again I decided I'd better set off home quickly, as I was 25 miles away. Anyway, I seemed fine on the way back and decided to pop in the co-op for a few bits a few miles from home. Then I got another warning pain, so paid for my stuff, chucked the bag onto the passenger seat and set off home again. It was only about 4 miles but every traffic light was red!! I got my housekey out ready to save time while I was waiting at one set of lights and put it on the passenger seat. At the next lights I looked over at the passenger seat and couldn't see the key!! :-0 I tried feeling along the seat and down the back....no key. I pushed my hand under my bag and shopping bag on the seat but still no key! I hadn't got my spare with me and OH was at his first friendly match at Coalville so there was no-one at home to let me in. :-0 I pulled up the drive and went through my handbag and then the shopping bag in case I'd dragged the key into it with my camera strap....no joy. Things were getting desperate when I picked both bags up off the seat and spotted the key which somehow had got caught up with the bags and ended up the other side of the seat where I'd already checked!! It was a close shave, but the moral of the story is to always have a spare key with you or keep your outside toilet!!!!! I seem to be fine now thank goodness. :-)
Yes I was lucky to find a store with the vase Mandy as they hadn't got one in any of their shops in the city or Hinckley or Nuneaton. The lady has already suggested we meet every week or fortnight at hers while there are no classes till next term and has said last year she wouldn't mind if we all came to hers to do beading when we weren't sure about carrying on then. It would be a shame in a way as the teacher is nice.

What a panic you had Ann. Its so horrid when that happens when you are out. I am so pleased you found the key in the end especially as oh was out. There's nowhere like home when you are feeling bad. No loo like your own when you badly need it either.
I feel a lot better now and have had three slices of bread and butter. Oh had his scotch eggs and coleslaw and the steak went in the fridge.

Afternoon all, Only you have posted I see Mel, glad you are feeling a lot better today. What a funny day to have an MRI scan, but saying that I had an eye appointment made for me on a Sunday a few weeks ago. I suppose they are working anyway, so why not.??
Ann that was a close shave, There's nothing worse than almost being taken short. It must have happened to so many people, I know it has happened to me !!!
I rang Sally about 6.00 pm last night with the suggestion of meeting up for lunch next Sunday. Unfortunately she is working day shift all next weekend. She gave me Simons number and told me to ring him, which I did, it went to Answer Phone, so I left a message. As yet he hasn't returned my call, so that's great for me, trying to break the ice. Do I wait, or ring again.
Jane I was going to ask where the Wedding was. I can understand if it's a bit informal you wouldn't need a hat. How are your hands at the moment. ??
I had another terrible night last night, I felt so low I went to bed at 9.15 pm. I was still awake when Madam came in at 12.45 am. I got out to the loo at 1.30 am and couldn't decide whether to go back to bed or go and read. I went back to bed, but had a disturbed night until I got up at 6.30. Needless to say I am like a Bear with a sore head today. I just opened the paper to have a read and on went the Bl@@dy T.V. I said turn it off, why do you need it on all the time. That didn't go down well as you can imagine. We had words who was going to do the Veg for dinner. I WON. !!! she is in the garden planting up the front borders.
I'm now all showered and shaved, ready to go and sit outside with my book.
Hows Ruby's gums today Anne, I hope she's more comfortable than yesterday xx
Germany and Chile in the Final tonight. 7.00 pm kick off so I might have a wonder down the pub for a couple of pints and leave Ros to her Poldark.

Afternoon All
Ooh Ann,thankgoodness you made it just in the nick of time. That has happened to me a few times(not the key thing though). It is when it comes out of the blue that is the worst thing. I have often been in the car desperate to get home and every red light is against me,or there is a long queue of traffic .The more you worry the worse you think the outcome will be too !!!.
Glad you are feeling better today Mel.I hope too that OH doesn't have to wait hanging around too long for the MRI. What is he having it on?
I have just been to Tesco and Next. Next was to collect a shirt for Chris that Hannah had bought for Fathers day. She had to change the first one as it was too small. Now the one I have just got is still a bit on the tight side so it will be back with it again tomorrow for the next size up !!!.Chris was mortified that it didn't fit ,but I said it is just the style and needs to be a loose fitting one as it is one of those Grandad shirts. It is a really nice one in a blue denim colour.
Wine is Tesco is 25% off 6 bottles or more so I got 6. Anne you might be intersted as I know you got some last time when 25% was off. I think there was someone in there doing a bit of shoplifting as staff were lurking and descibing to eachother who they were looking out for. It sounded like a woman . I would have loved to have hung around to see the outcome lol. But then I might have looked suspicious too :-D :-D
It is very warm here today. I am going to have to go and get out of these trousers and put one of those linen dresses on I think. London looks to be pretty hot on Tuesday when I go so I need to think what to wear. I expect Fitz will be enjoying his Birthday lunch out now with the family. I can't think of him as being 70 .We first met him when he was in his 30's !!!!
We are losing count now of the number of Rabbits Thomas is catching and eating. I couldn't get him in last night and after thinking an early night was in store for me it was gone 11 when I finally gave up calling for Thomas. Then this morning Chris saw him with another bunny. There do seem to another lot of baby ones about and I think it is those that he is getting.
I expect Wicksteed Park will be heaving today with families having picnics and BBQs. I gave that road a miss this morning as the queues for getting in the park can be so long and hold up all the other traffic.I would love a BBQ ,but Chris hates them .He has this thing about things not being cooked through thoroughly ,which i know happens .But I think that is more when it is a big function for many people . I do love the smell though of a BBQ .I don't remember having them when I was little except when the Sailing Club would do one on the beach ,but that was more Baked Potatoes in the bottom of the bonfire and maybe sausages. But certainly nothing like todays BBQs.
Hows your neck and shoulder today Frank?

Frank, I would suggest you don't push to hard at the moment for meeting up again with Simon. He might after all these years of not seeing you feel that he needs to take things slowly . But yes don't give up. You can't now . Just Baby steps :-D. Even if you manage a get together once a year ,that would be better than none.
This wedding is at a place called Oakgrove North Kent. If you google Oakgrove Weddings it should come up. It is going to be a wedding the likes of I have never been to before. It is definitely a venue for the younger person. The setting looks lovely . Toilets are in converted Horse Boxes !!!!!!!!!. All mod cons though :-D.
My hands do seem a bit better Frank but that is just today. The worst bits are my finger tips . and my grotty nails. I don't have any proper feeling except pain in the fingertips which is so annoying as I keep dropping things :-S :-S. I just hope this Dermatologist I see on the 10 th will be able to help. I think going to see the footie tonight sounds a good idea . It will get you out and hopefully prevent any big argy bargy with Ros :-D ;-)

Everyone must have been very busy today.
We had our breakfast and then oh did some mowing and I cleaned out the big chickens and then went up the border. I have been cutting down the climbing rose on the wall as the rain spoiled all the flowers and it had come away from the wall and was falling forward over all the plants underneath.
We had a lovely day today really sunny but comfortable.
I am out early in the morning so may not get on here first thing as we have to be in Launceston early.
