Well spoke to soon saying we had sun ,it just tipped it down !!
I think lots of things get lost in the bins by accident , i'm sure it's where my teaspoons dissappear too.
Ann i hope you've been keeping " The Cup " nice and shiney clean it will look nice then when we see the photo of you winning it again :-D

LOL Mandy. :-D!! I doubt there will be any more photos with a cup.....but you never know!! Yes it is nice and shiny thanks to me getting silver polish especially for it!! They are holding the show in some church rooms this year as they have just started pulling down the parish council building to build a new bigger one, so I'm not sure how much space there will be this year. In fact I must go and have a look just where they are as it is a tiny narrow road with no parking. I think OH is going to be roped in to do some carrying for me.
So the brush was under your nose after all Jane!! I can just imagine Chris up to his arms in the marigolds when you told him!!!! lol. I've had OH go rummaging in the wheelie bin more than once. :-S
NO EMAILS have come through yet Jane.
Frank, whenever you mention the Festival I remember those photos of you in the red postman's jacket! :-) Would Simon and Sally be coming in the boat?

Mandy how ad about your friend. It dos'nt sound like they can do anything for her now. I wonder if she knew before being taken into hospital? It makes sense for her daughter to remove all the valuables from the house if it will be empty for a while you never know whose watching these days.
Jane where did you brush Thomas yesterday? Go and look there. I know if I lose something and can't find it I have to go back over where I went. It is usually under my nose!! When I use something now I have to tell myself where I put it or I can't find it.
I remember once mum was looking for her glasses. She had looked high and low and then came to me to ask if I had seen them. I asked her if she had looked on her face. Yes she had them on.......

I forgot to post the last post so I was typing it when you posted that you had found it Jane.
Cut oh's hair this afternoon and now I feel itchy again. It is not as bad as last time and I think I may just imagine it is more than it actually is if you know what I mean. I just don't want to feel like I did before.

Evening all,
Yes Ann that was a few years ago when the tunnel reopened. I dressed for that in 1986. Where have all those years gone. I am hoping the two Ss with be coming on their boat. I don't know where they will moor it as everywhere on the local canal will be taken up with Trade boats.
It turned out to be a lovely evening here, the sun was out with lovely blue sky, with fluffy white clouds.
We had the best India takeaway this evening, that we have ever had. I rang them after we had eaten to thank them. They seemed very pleased. It's normally a complaint when you ring back.!!!
I can just hear what Chris said when you found the brush. You do seem to wind him up, DON'T YOU???
You won't sleep tonight Mel, I tried to have a few zz but couldn't settle, so it won't be a late night tonight.
Don't know what's on T.V. so thank goodness for SKY ;-) ;-) We can always find something to watch.

Morning all, evening Kim,
Up early this morning as we have been invited next door for coffee at 10.30. Ros did a load of coloureds last night. They are on the line now.
I will get my shower and shave and get dressed, only to come back and change into tracky bottoms and T shirt. to help Harvey when he arrives.
I have cancelled lunch out as he said he won't have a lot of time to spend out. So I took a leg of lamb out of the freezer. I can then get dinner about 6.00 wish If that suits his timings.

Lineful of washing on here too Frank as its a nice sunny morning, a bit windy but nice enough to sit outside. I don't separate coloureds and whites anymore as I wouldn't have enough whites to make a load! everything we have these days is easy care and coloured! I've cleaned the big oven this morning! What a vile job that is! From now on it won't be used for joints anymore so hopefully a quick wipe will be all it'll need now and again! ! Thanks for the pic Jane, looks lovely, a bit like Italy! L and family set off in the early hours this morning. They're taking their caravan down to Poitou in west central france for a couple of weeks. We haven't got Stella after all as we weren't that keen to have her for two weeks so L's ex hubby said if we liked, he'd have her. We accepted! She's a dear dog but a bit lively and this year I'm not! so it seemed more sensible for ex to have her. I think it's the last of Poldark tonight Mel! There's going to be another series I think, but when?!!

Yes Liz it should carry on for quite a while as there were a lot of books and everyone seems to really like it. I can never wait for the next series to come along but I think it will be next year sometime. Spring I hope as this series was due to come out later in the year but clashed with Victoria's new series.
You have been busy this morning. I forgot to put washing in but may put some in after our big breakfast which I am just about going to start. I have fed the hens and bantams and boxed up the new kilo of mealworms in a nice clean box with some porridge in it so that will keep the birds going for another while.
I have filled all the feeders on both bird feeders and tied up my tom plants as I spotted I had missed some.
I need to pick more long beans as they were'nt quite big enough yesterday when I picked.
O and yes the sun has appeared here too.

Yes, Me I have been busy, I felt like cracking on and getting the outstanding cleaning jobs like the stove/oven, under the kitchen sink, fridge/ freezer etc out of the way. Things got a bit neglected when I was hobbling around, but now I'm more active I can catch up and hopefully stay caught up!! The wind has really got up here, but it's nice and sunny, for the minute!! We watched Outlander on sky planner yesterday evening, and we're both pretty hooked, so at least we've got that to look forward to after Poldark!! We're having Pork today garden potatoes runners and carrots, should be good. OH is boiling up some pre made marmalade that we froze last Feb; you only have to add the sugar and its ready for the jars Better get that washing in!

t's all go here. Harvey is beavering away, fitting the door. He's having to cut the lock out and the hinges. I am keeping him topped up with Fruit tea. Ros is in the front garden putting in more plants to replace the ones that are dying back. I am stuck in doors (quite HAPPY) The leg of lamb if cooked and wrapped in tin foil, that can go beck in the oven later to warm through. The potato's and Parsnips are par boiled, ready for the oven when he give me the O.K. I told him I will need an hour for the roasts and pudding. The veg is in the steamer and I have a kettle of boiling water ready to pour in the steamer.
I am sitting watching the Ladies football and the Athletics with a few bottles of cool beer, so i'm "as happy as Larry"
Washing all dried and in the basket ready for putting away, and ironing.
Glad everyone seems to have had pleasant weather, it does make a nice change to have the sunshine and doors and windows open.
Ros has picked another feed of beans, she wouldn't let me down there. She has also picked a bag of toms. for Harvey.
We had a pleasant hour and a half with Dennis and Pam. The little dog "Ammie" wouldn't leave us alone, wanting a fuss all the time.
Well back to the football, and another cold beer hic hic See you later.

Afternoon Everyone Liz you certainly have been getting on with the jobs today. I keep looking in my oven and then shutting the door again LOL. It really does need a good clean. I think it is a good idea not to have Stella especially with her being so lively. The last thing you would need would be for her to run into you or get under your feet .At least L's ex will take her for the fortnight. I hope it is not going to be this heatwave in Poitou for L and family. Although I think it is high temps really all over Europe right now.
Frank ,I have Lamb tonight too.Picked the first Runners today :-D :-D :-D :-D.They are still a bit on the small side really but I just couldn't resist.Lots more Dwarf Beans and Tomatoes .
So a great Indian Takeawy last night Frank. I bet when they heard your voice on the phone they probably thought 'it is that man again to give us a right rollicking; LOL I am sure they were very happy to have had a call praising their food.
As for Takeaways (Getting on my high horse now) On the grass verge just outside us today I found a polystyrene box from KFC,with remains in, another box with some kind of left overs of Noodles and Chicken ,plastic knives and forks and the plastic bag that they would have been put in. I did hear at 3.45 am a taxi or car outside and some quite loud voices. I just don't know if it was the young lad and girfriend on one side of us or the girl and friends the other side. So I can't go and complain . But obviously no-one else was going to go and clear up the mess so it is all in my bin now . Dirty so and sos'
Mel how are your itches today? I would make sure you keep taking anti histamines at the moment .Hope the appointment goes well with the Solicitor tomorrow. I seem to recall you have been there just recently .
I need to find the plug for the laptop . The battery is almost flat.

Yes Jane, I was quite relieved not to have Stella! She's seven now and quieter than she was!! but her and Cas running about could have been both tiring and perilous!! I think it will be very hot where they're going! Even for me anything over 30© gets too much, so although we love that area (sil used to live there) I don't particularly envy them! Mind you the weather we're having here at the moment is a bit dire, and the forecast is rubbish! Our lunch/supper was delicious! The veg are so much nicer than shop bought. Tomatoes are a bit slow this year, but coming along reasonably well. I agree with you about people chucking their litter - it is disgusting and thoughtless as someone has to clear it up - yuk!!! Watching Countryfile which is about natural medicines, and perfumes made from wild plants it's really interesting.

Liz anything much over 20degs is enough for me .I just liketo feel comfortable and not sweating . But the trouble going on holiday abroad it is often going to be too hot for me.Even when we go in the Spring the temp can be too much . But I have to put up with it if I still want to go abroad.(and I do want to). I didn't realise that Stella is already 7 years old !!!.I was still imagining her as a young one LOL. Yes I agree about the home grown veg tasting so much nicer than the shop bought. I remember when I was a little girl helping Dad pick all the Peas ,Beans ,soft fruit etc. Eating a lot as I picked :-D. Then sitting on the back doorstep shelling Peas.Oh they were good days :-D :-D. The only things I hated picking were the Gooseberries. I don't think we used to grow things like Courgettes,Garlic,Peppers ,Aubergines etc back then. I do remember Blackcurrants though. Does anyone still grow them?
I went to Canada back in 2005 and the people I stayed with would go Blueberry Picking. Pick pounds of them. That was when Blueberries here cost about £3 -£4 a punnet !!!! and a very small punnet .They couldn't believe the price we had to pay. I suppose it was just like Blackberry picking.
Dinner not long to go now here. I am really ready for it as I had nothing at lunch time.
Fitz is coming here tomorrow .It is just Pizza and Salad .I will add extra toppings on the Pizza.Salami,Mushrooms and our own Cherry Tomatoes plus some fresh Basil. Just had another pic from Hannah :-D
