Yes we watch that programme Mandy, usually in bed! We love it !! Jane, Merlin goes out in his field everyday in all weather's summer and winter! He's got a field shelter he goes into if he wants to, but most of the time he grazes away oblivious of the weather! We bring him down to his yard most evenings but sometimes he stays out all the time. He's an Exmoor and they are adapted to live out on the moor in all weathers and hate being shut in, so we don't!! What a pity about your supper Frank. We don't get on with oven chips either so I never do them, much prefer a fryer!! I shall miss Poldark too Ann, poor young man going blind! no joke particularly in 1795!!

Yes Merlin would lose his hardiness if you coddled him too much wouldn't he Liz. My Welsh ponies lived out in all weathers too without rugs or anything and their relations would be out on the mountains in Wales. It may have been a big dose of luck, but they never needed the vet except when I had the young colt gelded.
Yes, awful for the young man going blind. I like Morwenna, the actress who plays her is very good and convincing with her horrid husband, the Reverend!

O the painting is great. I love the rocks. You certainly get a good look with your art work Ann. You said you were going to put the windmill in the show did'nt you? Put them both in.
We've had a dry day today but have just had heavy rain and thunder and lightening.
Done the Lidl shop and they said they had discontinued their scotch eggs which oh loves!! He is not pleased.
Frank who does Biggles belong to?

Mandy I keep meaning to watch that programme Normal in Norfolk.I will have to see if it is on Catchup . Hannah and Gareth have now arrived at the next place . They found themselves on a Nudist Beach this afternoon. Apparently Gareth got straight down to it. But Hannah was somewhat more reserved LOL . I wonder if it was just her top she shed.Or maybe she just kept it all on.They are staying in a chalet in an Olive Grove which looks lovely.
Frank I didn't know you were dog sitting another......Biggles :-D :-D I love Snowzzers (have no idea how to spell that LOL) Is he a miniature one or a big one? They have lovely moustaches :-D :-D
Ann ,what a shame about your lovely plant that has' flopped '.I hope you have managed to save it. We have lots of tall flowers/plants that have been battered with the heavy rain. :-(
Frank do try those chips I mentioned (I have only seen them in Tesco) McCain Gastro Chips) They really are just the best.
Liz I forgot that Merlin was an Exmoor . Yes he will have a good coat on him for this weather :-D
I am off tgo bed now. Missed half of Trust Me. So will see that again on Catchup tomorrow .
I hope our Gill is ok. Still staying with MIL ? Such a difficult time for all the family <3

Is'nt he just awful, the Rev. I think they have done a good job with the actors in Poldark. I too like Morwenna and saw her in something else the other day that was'nt a period drama. Hate having to wait for the next series.
I hav'nt seen that program about the farmer, whats it called and what station is it on?
O yes the portrait was the other pic your putting in the show. Will you put the photo with it that you took it from?
Mandy is Max behaving lately? No more tasting things?

Ann, Merlin never wears a blanket at all, as you say he'd lose his hardiness if we wrapped him up. He grows a really thick coat in the winter which makes him look like a woolly mammoth!! We've only had the vet when M had lamanitis, apart from that he's been fine! He's 14 now and we've had him since he was 4!! Cas had her usual outings today, as its been a fairly good day. Tomorrow doesn't look so good so it'll be OH putting on his waterproof and taking her out!! Poor Morwenna with that appalling husband! Mind you her sister pulled a fast one. Not sure about that pregnancy!!! We're off to bed now. OH is putting Cas out so better use the bathroom as he'll be wanting a shower!

Morning all,
Had trouble getting on here again this morning as this is twice I have had the dreaded ERROR page. I am here now though.
Dry morning with sun in and out behind the clouds some grey some white.
Oh has just come in from outside and said " I always know when your up as my hose goes limp". He was cleaning the filters out and when I flush the loo the pressure drops on the outside tap. It did make me laugh though.
Nothing to report from this neck of the woods only that we had thunder and lightening last night and heavy rain but its all dry out there this morning.

Morning Mel morning all,
So no saying you've been up a while then when he feels his hose going limp LOL
Woke about six this morning and it was raining ,it then tipped it down flooding the road for a while until the rain eased and it then drained away , it's still raining but not so hard ,looks like we're in for rain all day.
Yes Mel Max is still having a chew ,he had a go at the plaster on the wall in the conservatory yesterday ,he laid under the table as we sat having breakfast ,neither of us heard him having a go at the wall little devil.
Normal for Norfolk is on bbc 2 mondays at ten , it wasn't on this week because of the athletics , it's quite amusing at times ,on the last one he thought he would use a bird scarer for the pigeons, when it was fired his dogs set off across the field to retrieve as they thought he had fired his gun .
So Gareth will have an all over tan and Hannah will have some white bits then Jane :-D

Morning all, Evening Kim,
Again I won't say good as it is hissing down with rain again today. That's two days on the trot.
Giggles belongs to Ann and Alan Neighbours of Val, and a member of Stitchery do. When she picked him up last night I told her we would have him anytime, such a lovely dog. He is a miniature, and as you say has a smashing moustache, His tail is like a ball of fur.
I see on the T.V. this morning that parts of the Country are having sunshine with blue sky's, I wish it would drift this way. The forecast is more rain throughout the day, but tomorrow might be dry. You were lucky Mandy as you usually get our weather.
Conrad said the weather was fine in Devon, The funeral went of well, and Ella (9) said a few words at her Grandads funeral. Twenty six of them went out for an Indian meal in the evening.
Ros has made another 4 covers for the children, and is on her machine again this morning doing more.
Off for my S & S and get dressed. See you soon.

Afternoon Everyone,
Glad you liked the Tin Mine and the rocks Mel, I didn't find the rocks very easy to do. Yes I forgot about the Windmill painting and you can enter 2 in each class so I could enter both that and the Mine in the landscape class. I did laugh at your OH's mention of his limp hose and OH grinned and gave me a knowing look when I told him!! lol.
Mandy I watched the first episode of the Norfolk prog on the iplayer last night and really enjoyed it, so will watch the rest now. His mum is a fiesty old dear for her age isn't she!! Naughty Max......I hope he isn't developing a taste for plaster or you'll have to put some lemon juice on the spot and see if that puts him off!
Frank, we shall have to make you sign 'Dog Sitting here'. lol It must be nice having these doggy pals call though and I bet they soon learn 'Uncle' Frank has treats for them. The people who lived next door when we first moved here had a miniature Schnauzer called Benjy. It was a lively little character and loved racing round the field at the back and ignoring all requests to come back!!! Well done Harvey for putting the new door on for you. I know just what you mean about expecting it to still need slamming. When Our guttering above the front door was fixed, for ages after we were swerving around the waterfall we used to have when it rained to put the key in the door. What a shame about your dinner. I don't mind some oven chips, but they do vary. I gave my electric deep fryer to my mum over 30 years ago and never replaced it. I had one of those 'dry frypans' for a while but didn't find it very easy to get things out of it as it had a cone in the middle.
Jane I have bought your sauce to try today with chicken breasts and mediterranean veg. It means I can use the yellow squash a friend gave me as well. :-) I can just picture Gareth and Hannah after their sunbathing.........Hannah with some white bits like Mandy says and Gareth with some red bits? I didn't include you and Frank to email the painting as it is on FB.
Today hasn't started well as we had a breakfast cob at the garden centre this morning and changed table for a bigger one where we could read our newspapers. A bit later a member of staff came through calling my name...........someone had handed my handbag in to the customer service desk!!!!!!!!!! I went and got it and nothing was missing thank goodness and I got the chance to go and profusely thank the young lady with 2 little boys who had handed it in. Oh the thought of all the hassle ringing the bank etc!! Then we called in W H Smith for some things for OH and when we got home he accidentally shredded the receipt he needed for his business records. :-S

Ann, you have had a stressful day, how nice to know there are HONEST people around. She could have easy walked out with it with her own shopping. Fancy the OH shredding his receipt. Could he not go back and ask for a duplicate ??
Ros has got herself into a right old state this afternoon. Her Jernome Sewing machine pack up on her, so she got out the old one. That has a Bobbing case that the bobbing fits into. When I looked at the Jerome to see if I could fix it. She had it on a setting that fills the bobbing, when she changed it to the correct setting it worked like a dream. She was sure she had lost the bobbing case, but that was in the other machine. CONFUSION all round. I think she has settled down a bit now. She thinks she is loosing her marbles !!!!
The rain has almost stopped now. Just that horrible misty stuff still hanging around. Who do you think put out a load of washing. My dear neighbour Val.
Pulled pork tonight with roasts, cabbage, broad beans, peas ad carrots.
Might pop back tonight.

OH went to Waitrose this am, and did a load of shopping while I walked Cas, and did a few jobs! This afternoon watched a bit of catchup, and snoozed! Sweet & sour pork with rice tonight! Dentist for OH tomorrow!

Afternoon Everyone It hasn't stopped raining all day here. It is lighter now though .There was so much water on the roads this morning when I went for my Blood test. Really quite deep puddles. Well I was very impressed with the Blood Testing place at the Council Offices. It is a proper NHS mini 'clinic'. Not sure clinic is the right word, but there are several cubicles each with a lovely comfortable leather chair to sit whhen you have your blood taken. I was in and out within 5 minutes !!. So I will definitely go there again. I also got away with buying a parking ticket as someone gave me theirs . I noticed that the Police now have a big desk in reception . That will be because they closed out local Police Station a year or 2 ago.
Ann, what another great painting :-D. You did really well as i can't imagine it was all that easy to 'get it right'. That was so lucky your Handbag was handed in (with nothing missing). I wasn't so lucky with mine .We were at either Gatwick or Stanstead airport waiting for our flight to Venice.I had gone to the loo and stupidly left my handbag on the back of the chair in the cafe we were at. When I came back from the loo the people on the next table to me said they had handed it in at the counter. I was so grateful . But when I got to the counter and looked through the door to the kitchen I could see a group of the staff looking through my bag. I said it was mine and they passed it to me I looked in and saw my purse was missing!. It had all my holiday money in and in the purse was a note my Mum had written to me when she had Dementia saying she was a horrible person and that I shouldn't have anything more to do with her. It broke my heart when she sent me that and I kept in my purse .So that had gone too. That upset me more than the money really. I could get more of that .The Police came and said that my purse would have been taken out of my back and quickly passed on to a member of the staff who would have whisked it away quickly before divying out the cash. I was in a right old state and by this time we thought we would miss the flight but the policeman managed to let them know he was seeing us swiftly to the plane, and we just made it in time before take off. Not a good start to our holiday. The second time I left my Handbag was on the back of a toilet door on Leicester Train Station. Got on the train and then realised I didn't have it. I had so many shopping bags but just not the handbag. I informed a member of staff on the train and they rang back to the station. My bag was found on the door still BUT ...no purse. The handbag was put on the next train to Kettering for me. I then had a visit from the Transport Police the next day and he said how common it was for people to forget they have hung their bag on the back ot he toilet door and there are thieves who know this and get their pickings but just leave the bags. I could prove that I had taken the same amount of money stolen out of the bank a couple of days before and was lucky to get it back through our insurance. I NEVER carry lots of cash now if I can help it. Or if I do I split it up.
Frank, Poor Ros getting herslef in a state. At least the problem is sorted now :-D. I think we all think we have lost our marbles sometimes. Look at me with Thomas's brush the other day !! Fancy Val hanging washing out today !!!!!!! I somehow think it wont dry LOL
Thomas is not my friend at the moment . I did his flea treatment on his neck earlier and he went off in a huff. Just come back now looking a little bedraggled and still not my friend :-S The rain is coming down yet again :-S.. At least tomorrow loks dry.
I hope Gareth put his factor 50 on when he stripped off on the beach ;-) ;-). I am not sure how comfortable Hannah would have been on a Nudist beach and with Gareth doing the Full Monty LOLOL
My oven is pinging telling me the Whole Roast Chicken is cooked. I can't remember the last time I cooked a whole chicken.I usually use Chicken Breasts. Only because no-one likes the 'brown meat'.

Jane the hogs slike brown meat they love it when I pick the carcas for them. I am sure Thomas likes brown meat too.
Is'nt it just horrid when your purse gets stolen or you lose it. I always panic if I can't find mine.
I remember once taking Martin in his push chair up Ilford high st and getting home only to find my purse was missing from the side of his chair. There was'nt any money in it only a few shillings but there was a saphire and diamond ring in it worth about £255 and mum had bought me the purse so all sentimental. Not long after a policewoman knocked on the door and it had fallen out of the push chair and someone had handed it in to the police station. How lucky was that? So there are SOME honest people in the world or at least there were back then in the early 70's.
Its come over darker here now and just before lunch I thought it was going to rain so I brought the washing in and ironed it as it was dry enough then it never came to anything. So another dry day all round for us but I suppose you lot will send your rain down to me later in the week.

Mel I think our Runners are about 5-6 inches at the moment. Chris picked some the other day but really they were too thin and he should have left them. We are just coming to the end now of the Dwarf Beans. There might be just one more picking.
I was thinking the other day of getting in the middle of the Runner Bean plants and getting Chris to take a pic of me Mel :-D :-D. Seeing I can't find that original pic of me .How many years ago was that? You might remember. It has to be about 8 years.
Mandy ,I don't remember if you said ,but did the girls like their BIG BOWS? :-D
Chris is hoping if it is dry tomorrow he is going ot give the BIG Yew Hedge a good going over. I am hoping it is just up the sides and not attempting the top !!!
Frank the Weekend is looking dry so hopefully good for the Festival .

You were lucky to get your bag back intact Ann! One year when we were sailing a lot, we took our boat over the channel for a holiday going up a french canaI. I took my bag with everything in it to the marina loo's and left it hung on the door!! I immediately went back to look for it but of course it had gone!! A lovely(?!) couple returned it to me and I was SO grateful, but when I looked inside my purse everything else was there but all our french money had gone! All we had was about £10 in english money which the thief had left to last us nearly three weeks!! We got it back through our insurance, but it it was an awful performance, as we had to report it to the french police, they had to confirm the theft for our insurance company, then we had to go to a bank to organise some money! I never did that again!!! Our runner beans are doing really well a good length and plenty of them!. I think they like where they are!

Yes, I think I was very lucky to get the bag back intact! I think I had about £50 cash, also my credit/debit cards and mobile phone. At least I don't have an expensive iphone, but it's all the inconvenience. I said to OH that if I'm losing my marbles I'll have to padlock it to my wrist!! I know why it happened. I'd said we'd stay in the inner part of the restaurant but there were only small tables in there. Then I spotted some neighbours in the inner part that I didn't want to stop and chat to as all they do is grumble about the builder, so I got up from where I'd sat and beckoned OH who'd just paid, to the conservatory where there were bigger tables. I was concentrating on sneaking in there without being spotted and had my hands full of cutlery and napkins!! lol. I've never left my bag anywhere before but did once leave my purse in the toilets at work and that disappeared. I had the only photo of my old house in it before we changed the windows etc so I was sorry to lose that. OH was a one for leaving clothes in places when he was at work. He left his hat behind a couple of times, a shirt at a hotel. He was really miffed when he left a new navy mac on hooks at a restaurant and when he left he found someone had taken his nice new navy mac and left their old, scruffy, navy mac in it's place!! lol. I have left a cardi in a restaurant before, but got that back.
Jane, we enjoyed our chicken and mediterranean veg with the sauce! It was very tasty, but mostly stayed sat on top of the chicken. Another time I would use a deeper, narrower dish as some veg on the edges dried up a bit. I also have the lemon/ garlic one to try. The council offices sound like a better option for blood tests in the future. It does seem that wasted space in buildings is being used for other things now and it makes good sense.
