I am glad the tart worked out well for lunch Jane. I thought it would as it sounded so nice.
Chicken breast for us tonight wrapped in bacon with onion, roasties, carrots, brocc and stuffing for oh.

Evening all,
Sounds as if we've all had the same sort of weather today , sun shine and showers ,i did hang washing out and just about got it dry this morning ,i thought it was looking quite black out so got the washing in i had just stepped indoors with it when it tipped it down .
Poor old Tatty Mel how is she today ? ,is four years good for a chicken ? You carn't beat a nice home made sponge ,that's just what Colin would say i need another slice just to make sure it's ok :-D how much is left ?
Glad the tart was good and went down a treat Jane ,that's a lovely lovely place in France ,beautiful country side and swimming pool too.
Max has been a little humbug today ,i've taken four stones away from him today ,he's also had a pull at the runner beans ,that's not so bad as they are just about finished but the stones !!!!
I see the new ten pounds notes are out today ,they are supposed to be hard to forge but i bet it won't take some one long to copy them .

Afternoon All,
Been a bit mixed up to now with showers then sunshine. My hair feels really short now after 2 hours at the hairdressers and lots of chitchat!! Frank I am so glad you mentioned the Andes prog as I meant to record it and forgot!! :-S I thought it looked good.
What a shame about Tatty Mel. I remember Mandy knitting her the nice little cosy jumper. It's a pity she is going downhill, but as Frank says, she has had a happier later life with you.
I thought your tart would be lovely Jane! I think Chris was lucky there was any left!! lol. What a fantastic place that is in France.......I want to be there right now!! It's been beautifully done up hasn't it, light and airy and modern. It must have cost a lot to do it, but the returns on letting it will be well worth the investment I expect. It's probably cheaper than renting an equivalent place here and not too bad if 6 couples were going and shared the cost.

Naughty Max is still interested in the stones then Mandy! :-0 I bet you have to watch him when you are out. I think it was on the Dog Rescuers either this week or last that they were removing stones from a Labs tum.......it wasn't what they were looking for either. I hadn't realised the new £10 were out today.........I must look out my old pound coins and spend them while I can!!

Mandy ,the friend of Fitz's son is only about 33 .To be able to buy that place in France and do it up like that he must be earrning a packet by playing Rugby for France.Bit like the Footballers here that earn millions. It does look an amazing place .Not my kind of place though.Bit too glitzy for me. So Max is still after stones Mandy !!! You must have to have eyes in the back of your head :-S..Little so and so. :-S

Evening all,
All full up with tart from lunchtime then Jane LOL. It's nice that Chris helps with the woman from the Surgery, it must be a very hard thing to get over and get your brain around it.
Naughty MAX. I don't know what it is about stones and Labs. My to golden ones were everlasting carrying large stones around. The last one I had use to love picking up a milk bottle of the doorstep and carry it around his evening walk.
Been to the Nurse it was for my ( can't remember the name) silly old codger, I hear you say. If might come to me before I sign out. Roa said why didn't I have one too. She was thinking I had my flu injection. SILLY BEGGER.
Ros dropped me off at home and went to pick Val up to go to choir practise, she will be home around 9,30 pm. She got the bedding all dried and ironed this afternoon as well as cleaning the inside of the conservatory windows, and hoovering. I felt so guilty that I got the mower our and did the front lawn. If it stays dry I will try to do the back tomorrow.
It's nice not having the tele on. I will see whats on later, that I might like to watch.
That injection was for something sounding like SCABIES. but I am sure it wasn't that. I will be racking my brains all evening trying to think of the right name. I think it's for something that goes round your body and joins up. It can be very uncomfortable so I am told. WHATEVER IT IS. (HELP) !!!!

Morning all,
Weather today is really wet and the sky is so dark so I need to turn the light on. Its really chilly too and I have put on a short sleeve t shirt under my turtle neck t shirt and a thick cardi on top of that.
Its good there is nothing planned for today as I just don't want to go out when its like this. The leaves are falling from the trees and I can't get up the border to do anything up there and it needs it badly. I still have a big bunch of Nerines to sort out up there on a small tarp and they are now sending their flowers up.

YES MEL, SHINGLES. thought of it during the night.
Good morning all, Evening Kim,
We have a cracking morning here, blue sky with hardly a movement of the trees and bushes. I think we had a heavy dew. (I know a joke about that !!!) for another time. I will wait till much later to get the back lawn done.
I was in bed by 9.30 last night. Ros wasn't home, so I left the T.V. on and the table lamps. I don't remember her coming to bed. I was up and making tea by 6.30 this morning. Ros said this morning that she stopped off at Valerie's last night for a coffee and a chat. I still don't know what time she came home.
We have so much casserole over, I will add a couple of sausages for me and reheat it, and we can have that again tonight. (I will cook the sausages first).
I had better get dressed. I will get showered later, when I have finished outside jobs.
Back still giving me GIP so won't be doing anything to exert myself. Just a gentle push up and down the lawn. It might make it feel better.

Yes Mel, I have been following it on the news most of the morning. Lets hope they have CCTV of the person/persons who did it. They should be hung from the nearest tree. That's what I would do. 22 people with burns ,and just going about their business on an ordinary day. We have got to have eyes in the back of our heads these days. No wonder I hate going to crowded places, you never know when it will happen. JUST WHAT THEY WANT (BA@@@RDS) Don't get me started !!!!
I was just going to get the mower our when it started to rain, so that's put paid to the lawn getting done today. Just hope I can do it in the morning, or I am going to have a job on my hands when I get back from Paignton next weekend.
Just received my family tree from my Nephew, who borrowed in over sin months ago. It took a rollocking from me to get it back. ;-) ;-) ;-) Also received Lewis's birthday present from Ebay. A MEN'S GROOMING KIT. It's what he wanted, so why not. He's 19 in a couple of weeks, so is taking care of his appearance, which is nice to see in a young man. I will no doubt pull his leg about it when next we speak or meet LOL LOL
Madam has washed her hair and is drying it under her hood, with the hairdryer, you can't hear yourself think with the noise, and she is sewing as well and the machine is kicking up a din as well.
I'm gong up the other end of the lounge, to either read or put the T.V. on LOUD !!!

Afternoon All,
Dry now but we had drizzly rain earlier. Met up with my beading pals and the lady who lives there had made us a lovely pear and almond cake! I didn't have any but she gave me a slice to take home for OH!!
Just had a lot of faff trying to return a new steering wheel lock that didn't fit that I got on ebay. I returned it signed for 2nd class as it would have cost £11 to send it back otherwise which is half what it cost. It means there is no tracking number which the ebay screen won't let you mark as dispatched without. I don't know what that will cause but I have scanned my receipt and emailed that to the company so the know I have sent it. Nothing seems straightforward lately!
You got a great bargain with the game Mandy. You are very good at rooting out bargains! The other finds were very cheap too.
Frank I need to ask about the Shingles jab. I couldn't quite understand the information as to whether I can have one or not! I also need to book my flu jab so I could ask then. It sounds like you had a good night's sleep last night.
Better get on with some more jobs now. The sun is out again.

That was nice to know Fiona's doing well now Jane does she read any of the posts ?
I was thinking about William yesterday too ,we haven't heard from him for quite a while now ,i hope they are both well.
They don't make things easy to send back some times Ann glad you got it sorted in the end . What are you making with your beads ? the cake sounds nice ,i bet you have a little taster of the slice you bought home for OH :-D
It's nice to buy things they want for birthdays rather than wasting money on something that they won't use Frank ,i carn't believe Lewis is nineteen where do the years go.

Afternoon All
How is Tatty today Mel? Sounds like the weather has been horrible again for you today. It hasn't been too bad here .Just sunshine and a few showers. I haven't been out at all today. Just pttering doing a few jobs and making some strange concoction .I wanted to try it out as a possible starter for a meal later in the month when all the family are here. It is Endives(well I have chicory as couldn't get Endives) I think they are virtually the same. So I cut them in half and put them flat sides down in frying pand with butter and a little castor sugar to caramelise Then a mix of breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, fresh Thyme, and a bit of Whipping Cream which is piled on top of the Chicory and topped with a slice of Serrano Ham. I just need to pop them in the oven for 15 mins later. Have no idea what it will be like !!! We are having Youngs Basa Fillets and Cauliflower Cheese for dinner. Just done the Cauli Cheese so that will just need heating. So now I am doing nothing more :-D
I don't know what pollen is about today but I have been sneezing all day and my eyes are really itchy :-S
I didn't know that there is an injection to prevent Shingles. Is it for everyone or people with certain health issues?
Ann,I think if you have the proof of postage for the Wheel lock you should be fine. What a nuicance though that it was wrong for your car.
William and Carmel have just celebrated their 38th(I think 38) wedding anniversary .There were some lovely pics on FB :-D
I didn't ask Fiona if she reads the thread. But she might do .It was just really nice to hear her sounding so well :-D
What a dreadful thing today in London again. Thank heavens the bomb failed to go off properly .Bad enough with all those poor people having Flash Burns. It could have been so so much worse . As you say Frank, hopefully there will be good CCTV footage of the evil wotsits . I didn't even have my shower this morning as I was glued to the TV when the News broke.I was still in my nightie at 11 !!
Mandy how old will Chelsea be ? I seem to have lost track of the ages of your G Children !!!. You have so many LOL
Hannah has arrived safely in Valencia so will be enjoying time now with her friend. She sent me a pic of Sarah's old boy Sam(the Staffie). He was 15yrs old last week and is looking his age now.I last saw him when he was 12 before they moved out to Spain. He is an absolute dear .Sarah used to bring him here when she came t see Hannah and he would go off down the garden and find Chesters old toys from under hedges :-D
I can't believe it is Friday already and 2 weeks since the wedding !!! I know we always say how fast the years go but this one seems to have flown by even faster than ever.

I am sorry to say that Tattiana passed away today. Why is it always your favorite one that goes. She was the only one I named of the big girls. I only have four big ones now so roll on October. At least we are half way through September now. As I have said before this year has flown by Jane. Soon be Christmas boys and girls.x
We have had some sunshiney bits during today but at the moment it is tipping it down and its nearly time to feed the hogs and shut the chickens in.
Hot dogs for dinner as I hav'nt felt too good today and did'nt feel like cooking much. I'll give oh some chips with his.

Do you remember me losing my Farmhouse Cook Book and oh bought me one off Amazon for a £1. Well I found it last week under a chair in the lounge. I walked in there and looked down and there it was. I had hunted high and low for it as I usually put it straight back in the bookcase. I had had it since 1976. So now I have two!!
