Morning all,
Not a bad start to the day. We have sunshine but cloudy skies. There some blue and I think it may be better later on if the sun can burn the clouds off.
Friday and another day and then thats September over. Time is really passing by very quickly this year. Still not long till Christmas...... :-D

Morning to you all, Evening Kim,
I have been up since 3.45 am Woke with a hacking cough and sweating all over. I couldn't be bothered with reading so made some tea, and turned on the Tele. I just flicked through the stations and watched bits of this and that. I didn't eat last night, so only had that Ham sarnie all day, till this morning, I just had couple of Weetabix with yet more tea. That's 4 large Breakfast cups so far today.
Mel my love, I haven't received any photo's from you not even my dad. Are the hogs in a fighting mood or just being curious ??
That poor cat, The first thing that went through my mind was "KITTENS" You will have to keep an eye on where she goes.
That's not good Gill, where on earth are RATS coming from. You had better get some poison, and get rid of them.
HI CURLY. What don't you like about yourself ?? What did Chris say, if he noticed. So you get rid of one for the weekend, and get two back. It's like BOGOF LOL LOL
I think I will get a nice shower. Then I can as least feel fresh !!!

Good morning all
It's very wet here this morning and quite chilly, my wrist is getting better but I still need to rest it as far as I can.
Sorry to hear you had a bad night again Frank you will have to have 40 winks this morning.
Ann your Cornwall photos show what a nice area you stayed in. It looks as though the little puss has adopted you, I wonder if she has been chipped both of my two have been as they won't wear collars and always come home without them on.
Mel lovely photo of little Titch he will become tamed very easily being handled so young. Has the Cherry tree just come down? Nice Clear photo of the Buzzard is he a regular visitor to your land?
Had my Sainsbury order delivered yesterday and I did get my 25% off the wine some of which we will be taking on holiday with us next Friday as the offer ends on the 3rd October .
Touch wood no spiders here apart from one large one in the wash basin which I rescued by picking it up with some toilet paper and put in the garden.
Bracknell now has a brand new Town Centre opened about two weeks ago called the Lexicon it has made a big difference because of all the well known stores opening up which we haven't had before. Fenwicks being the most expensive, hand bags for £1,500,00 for example, it used to be Bentalls but now in a new building. I shopped in Primark and bought a nice winter jumper also one in M&S. Richard was home puppy sitting.
Have you got used to having curly hair Jane, it is nice to have a change now and again
The phone rang yesterday with a man saying he understood I have had some joint pain, I told him I don't respond to cold calls and put the phone down, when I checked call back it came up with number withheld, no surprise there as we have a stop on cold calls so was unable to report it.

Afternoon All,
I'm glad your wrist is improving Anne. Sometimes these things do take an age to get better and you can't rush them by overdoing it. It sounds like you got your bargain wine nicely in time for going away. :-) The shopping development you have now sounds good. I sometimes buy the odd thing from Primark. We used to buy some of the bracelets for beading class and cut them up for the beads as it was cheaper than buying the beads elsewhere. We had a Fenwicks in the city for many years, but ours closed earlier this year. It was very antiquated inside and a good step away from the main shopping so I don't think it was doing very well.
This morning when I donned my coat to go and check the greenhouse in the pouring rain there was no sign of the puss anywhere, nor had any more milk been drunk. I told OH to ring me at my friends if it turned up and to feed it and then ring round the rescue homes and I would come straight home after beading, otherwise to just meet me for lunch as usual. There was no call from him, so when we met up he told me he had been up to the greenhouse to do some watering after the rain stopped and there was still no sign of it. We've not seen it this afternoon either so it looks like it may have found it's way home after all. I do hope so. :-S
Jane, OH quite surprised me by saying he didn't want the responsibility of having a cat just now and would worry about one more nowadays. He also said he wouldn't want one as demanding as this one with all the miaowing!!! lol. We said the same about 'why did it choose our place' but I think Mandy may be right about it being quieter in our garden.
The bungalow opposite has been sold again after a previous sale falling through a few months ago so it looks like we will have new neighbours soon.
I hope you got your 40 winks Frank and feel a bit brighter now. It's horrid when you feel ropey and off your food too. It's been nice that you've had a few emails to send lately, OH always likes to see them too! :-)
Mel, Xmas is coming fast here!! We called in a garden centre after I'd been to the printers yesterday and they were almost fully decorated for xmas with about a dozen xmas trees all decorated and an animated village scene set up and working and xmas lights twinkling everywhere. We were quite shocked it was so advanced!! It sounds as if Titch is getting used to you if he is uncurling. He's certainly putting weight on. Will you have to keep him in over the winter do you think?

Afternoon All I have been worrying about that puss . It doesn't sound well. Ann,you could always take it to your nearest Vets if you think it is unwell .They would also be able to check to see if it has a chip.Thank goodness you had your Greenhouse door open a bit when you were away. My friend once went away for 2 weeks and got home to find a cat had been trapped in her Greenhouse for all that time !!!!!!!. It must have licked moisture from the glass for it to have survived. But when she opened the door it just shot out and she never saw it again.
Anne, your Sainsbury must have their offers at a different time to the one here. Glad you got your wine :-D I am not curly any more :-D :-D. I woke up this morning and took one look and decided to wash it and dry it like normal :-D I felt I looked too old with it curly and James agreed. So that really made my mind up LOL
Frank you have a right old stinker. You MUST have caught it from Jan. I hope you feel a bit better tomorrow.
That new Shopping Centre sounds good Anne.A bit like our new one here. But we don't have Fenwicks. There is a House of Fraser (whicj I think is a bit like a Fenwicks) it has a Champagne bar too with a view out over Rushen Lakes. I must give it a visit :-D. Yes where are you going next for your holiday? Hopefully your wrist will be fine by then. Not too much in the way of sunshine here today but still really really mild. Tomorrow doesn't look bad but Sunday could be a bit of a washout.
My flipping Psoriasis has flared up again on my tummy :-| Boo Hoo :-(. It is so red and sore. My finger tips too are not brilliant so it is back to the cream and keep taking the tablets :-S Appointment on Monday with the Dermatologist .
All ready here for H&G. They won't get here until about 8 so we probably won't be eating until 8.30 or even later.James wants to be gone by 7 to set off to Jess so I will have his meal ready as soon as he gets home from work. He asked me to buy some car oil from Halfords as he could do with a top up. So I bought this 4 litre Castrol something and the girl said did I want topping up for an extra £2. I had no idea what she was talking about. She then explained they would put the oil in my car for the extra £2. I said it wasn't for my car. But I think it is quite a nice service for some folk (maybe elderly or those who would find it hard to get the oil in the engine)
I have just got that Marinade on the Turkey Breasts for tomorrow :-D.. I almost forgot it needed 24hrs to marinade.

I wonder why my pics arn't getting through to rank. Can someone try forwarding them to him please?
No I won't keep hi in overthe winter as I use the arc for feeding all the hogs down at Prickley Bottom. It would mean a lot of cleaning to get it smelling nice to be indoors again. The hog has at least two more months to put enough weight on to get it through the winter but I may just put some nailvarnish on the back of its head and that way I shall know if it visits the garden. It dos'nt hurt them and stays on for a long while. There was a man on one Springwatch who did this and he had 16 hogs visiting his garden and said his wife's nailvarnish was running out of colours!
Good to know your wrist is now feeling a bit better Anne and I hope improves quickly for you.
Just made a raspberry jelly with fruit cocktail in it for tonight. Its in the freezer. I need to use up some single cream and thought that would slide down nicely. Shame I can't send Frank some.
Its turned dull and cloudy now and we have had quite a nice day till now. I must go and do the chickens and Titch as its come over very dark.
I must go to the garden centre and see if ours are getting ready for Christmas. I wrote 4 cards this afternoon!!

Evening all
Nice and sunny here today but now there's a bit of fine rain about.
We've been out all day decorating the neighbours living room and hall. It's the old lady's place that had a fall back in July, she went into a home from hospital and is now hoping to return to her bungalow, so her daughter asked us to decorate the place so it's nice for her coming home. So the living room is finished the hall has been started and then there's her bedroom to do, all before Thursday. There is an assessor going round on Monday so we're hoping to have the hall finished, then on Tuesday we can sort out her bedroom ready for her coming home later in the week. There is so much to do before the assessor turns up as most of the furniture and ornaments are scattered about the place so there's hardly any room to walk around, so a busy weekend for us helping her daughter get it ready on time.
Our neighbours daughter told us the rat was found dead in her garden, another neighbours dog got hold of it last week so it must of gone to next door and died. She thinks the birds have eaten it as it's not there anymore, so hopefully that'll be the end of it coming into ours Frank. Sorry to hear your still not well, hope you are better soon and also have a better nights sleep tonight.
Hope your wrist is better soon Anne, it must be difficult to do things with it being sore all the time The new shopping centre sounds good, watch you don't spend to much there LOL
So you're not curly anymore Jane, my hair is similar, if I don't dry it with a hair dryer and then use the straighteners it goes all curly, but along with that it tangles up and is hard to brush through and with it being down to my waist I have to keep it straight.
So you have two hogs now Mel, hope they are getting on with each other and not fighting. How is little Titch doing today?
So you haven't seen the little cat today Ann, hope it's okay and has gone home where it's safe.
Well, I'd better go and dish up dinner, we've been so busy today we haven't eaten anything and we're starving now.

Morning all,
Brightish day here but still greyish sky. Still having trouble getting on here in the mornings with the dreaded Error page coming up every day. Its really getting on my nerves now.
When I woke up I thought it was Sunday and thought good big breakfast day but then realized it was Saturday and I have to wait till tomorrow for my breakfast. Still Steak night tonight so nice and easy.
Not long to wait till I get some new girls either. I think Lorain said the middle of October so roll on two weeks time when we can have proper eggs again and not the horrid plastic ones you get in the shops. Em next door will be pleased too to have her delivery on a Saturday. I put all the egg money in a pot and when I get enough change I take it to the shop as they are always glad of change. Then the notes go into my pot and I call it my "Mad Money" and every so often I treat myself with it.
Nothing planned for today so shall take it as it comes.
Gill don't overdo it at your neighbours. You'll be wearing yourself out again if you're not carefull.

I hav'nt been to the shop yet. I am into a little bit of craft but not sure how its going to turn out so I am going to give it a go and see.
Vron called in this morning as they have Big Al and the Strawberries in the village hall tonight. They have 120 people coming and the fish and chip van so could they use some of our ground for parking about 10 cars. She and oh went up the front with tape and poles to cordon some areas off.

Afternoon all
Oh Frank ,still not feeling very well, maybe it's time to see a doctor. Hope things improve for you soon.
So you're doing some more crafting Mel, what are you doing this time? Hope it all works out the way you want it to.
I've just got back from next door's, I've done all that I can do so left OH finishing off the gloss painting. I'm not very good around gloss paint so thought it better to come home, rather than chance a migraine.
The neighbours daughter is really pleased with all our hard work. I've spent the morning giving the rooms I can a good clean for her mum. The daughter wanted to go to the loo before heading off to visit her mum but when she saw how clean the bathroom was she said she'd wait as she didn't want to get the floor dirty with her wet shoes. I could of easily cleaned the floor again but she was insistent she'd wait until she got to the nursing home, daft really, at some point the floor is going to get dirty again. At least she's pleased with it being done now as it saved her a job.
I also cleaned her mum's bedroom and changed the bedding, she'd managed to get hold of a couple of bedside units so I helped her put everything out of the old ones into the new ones and put the rubbish round the side of the bungalow out of sight so the assessor didn't see them, it's also where the old carpet has gone, plus lots of other rubbish, which, no doubt, we'll take to the tip for her at some point.
OH and I went to her mum's around 7am this morning as OH wants to get all the painting finished today so he can watch the F1 race tomorrow and have a day off. She doesn't want the bedroom decorated now, so there's only the hall to finish and then tomorrow she's going to finish off sorting out the remaining three rooms ready for the assessor arriving on Monday.
I did laugh before because as the daughter was leaving she said to OH, who at the time was up a ladder painting the hall ceiling, "If you can, stick a brush somewhere can you paint the outside of the bungalow".....I don't think OH was impressed, but saw the funny side to her comment and laughed anyway. Her mum's bungalow is starting to look really nice now, with all the decorating and new carpet. Let's hope the assessor says she can go home now.

Afternoon all,
Beautiful day here lots of warm sunshine, i've put two loads of washing out so they should soon be dry . We went and got our fruit and veg from the people that have a stall on our market but they also sell from their warehouse so we go there now it saves dragging it all from the town and the fruit and veg is much fresher than the supermarket, you should see the lemons i got they are huge . We buy the grandchildren lots of fruit ,they take snack boxes to school every day with fruit so it helps son and DIL .
Gill you have been a good neighbour helping with al the decorating and cleaning ,i bet your neighbour will be thrilled with it all when she comes home.
Frank it sounds like you have a bad dose of flu ,lets hope Ros doesn't get it ,all you can do is keep warm and have plenty of fluids ,no not beer !! :-D :-D
Big Al and the strawberries :-D i love that , it's good of you to let them park the cars Mel , where would they park if you didn't let them on your ground.

Afternoon All,
Bit dull and showery here but the sun is trying to get through.
Poor you Frank, you really do have Jan's cold by the sound of it. Bed rest will do you good till you feel a bit better. Hope you soon improve. <3 <3
Gill, you and your OH are 'Angels' doing all this hard work for your neighbour. She will be so pleased if and when she can come home and see it. It is good to keep busy with all that's going on but Mel is right though, and with all you have on with your own families, don't overdo things will you. It was sensible not to stay around the gloss fumes and risk a migraine.
I am tearing my hair out today as I'm so stupid!! lol. When we go away I always hide my passwords and this time OH said I should hide my USB stick with my spreadsheets of financial stuff on. I'm sure I told OH where I was hiding it as well in case I forgot, but he isn't so sure!! :-S Now of course I can't find it!!!! The silly thing is I had never done a copy either, which didn't matter so much when there wasn't much info on there. What a nuisance as it will take ages to reconstruct what I can. That will teach me to do a backup in future!!
OH is somewhere near Sherwood Forest at a match. I had to collect a parcel to be signed for at the Royal Mail depot down the road this morning. It was another Labradorite stone to bead as a pendant. This one had come from Jaipur in India and is a really nice one with the whole stone flashing blue as you turn it.

I didn't see you there Mandy! So that's where all the sun went to today! That's brilliant being able to go to the warehouse to buy your fruit and veg. I bet it is lovely and fresh too. I once had to visit the warehouses for the city market in my job. I had to be there at about 6.30am to see someone and it was a hive of activity with trolleys of sacks of carrots, potatoes etc being loaded onto vans for the market. It's a great idea to buy fruit for the grandchildren's snack boxes and so good for them as well. I read the other day that some parents were making a huge fuss about not being allowed to put pork pies and sausage rolls in their children's lunch boxes!! I suppose they think it is too much 'the nanny state' interfering.

Oh dear Ann, isn't it horrible when you put things in a safe place then it's that safe you can't find it yourself. I'm sure it's not far away, maybe when you are sitting quietly it'll come back to you where you put it. I hope you find it soon. Your Labradorite Stone sounds lovely.
How lovely to be able to buy fresh fruit and veg straight from the warehouse Mandy and like you said it tastes much better than the supermarket fruit. Your grandchildren will love it too.
How are you feeling now Frank, did you manage to have a sleep? I find when I'm under the weather sleep really helps. Don't forget to drink plenty too, you don't want to end up dehydrated.
I'm just watching the end of the F1 qualifying I recorded while I was out this morning. OH is still out, so will watch it later when Sandra and I watch Strictly.

Lovely you can go to the warehouse for the fruit and veg Mandy. The childrens boxes sound very healthy and your DIL has a lot of them to do too. Some mothers just can't be bothered to do healthy stuf so just buy rubbish for their kids boxes. My son would have the same thing every day, Chicken sandwich small bag of crisps a couple of biscuits and a fresh orange drink. He would hardly eat any veg so no carrot sticks or anything like that.
You have been busy bees again Gill I bet the daughter was really pleased with what you have done. Glynn should charge her for painting the front of the bungalow and it will give him a bit of pocket money. Has Sandra used her sewing box yet? or the cards I sent her? I did think I may get one from her as I love her home made cards.
Oh was up before dawn this morning to see the qualifying for tomorrows Grand Prix and then we watched a bit of during our late lunch.
Mandy have you pinched all the suun then for today? Put my washing out and there was a gentle breeze and it was quite bright. Oh came out and said it was going to rain by lunchtime and shore enough he was right and I had to rush out and get it in. He did help so I bundled his washing into his arms so I could rescure masses of pairs of socks all pegged individually on the line. :-|
Ann I am having the same problem as you today. I need my nice small pink and white craft scissors and I hide them from oh as I don't want them ruined. Do you think I can find them?????? NO. I have looked in all the usual places. You will have to get yourself a little notebook and write down where you put things and take it with you when you go away that way you have the info on you when you can't remember. I do this sometimes but when I'm busy I forget!! I did this with mum and she found it helpfull. Try to go from the place where you keep them and then think where you may have put them for safe keeping. You will probably find them when you are looking for something else. I find thats what happens to me. I still hav'nt found the ring to go with the stone oh found in the garden but I know I still have it somewhere.
Your new labradorite stone sounds really eye catching. I hope we will see a pic when its done.

OH said I should make a note and take it with me too Mel!! I think I will in future now my brain isn't reliable and I always take a notebook so I could use it for that. lol. So you have lost your scissors! I have tiny scissors I keep for beading and like the fact they don't take much space up. I hope yours turn up soon. I had to smile as I hide all sorts from OH, a small screwdriver and hammer and a set of tiny screwdrivers for glasses, a ruler to name a few!! I caught him the other day raiding my yellow highlighter pen and stapler. He doesn't always put things back where they were, yet he hates it when I fish through his things for something to borrow! :-) It will be interesting to see your craft thing you are doing!
I've something to post so better nip out. It looks quite chilly now.
