I've just got up for a while. Ros popped in the bedroom and I woke from a dose, so thought I had better get up for a few hours or I won't sleep tonight. I have drunk a jug full of water this afternoon and two cups of tea. My head is still swimming and the aches and pains are still with me. I hope I don't keep madam awake tonight with my huffing and puffing.
Gill you and you OH are very good getting the bungalow ready for the assessment. I am sure everything will be in order, and she can come home again. Was it really bad ??
Ann, I can feel for you not being able to find your things, you think you are doing the right thing and BANG it all goes wrong for you. You will have to sit a wrack your brain to where you could have put them.
Mandy it's good that the children like and eat a lot of fruit. I wish I did. I might eat a pear now and then, but never Oranges etc. I put it down to not being able to get fruit during the war, that it never appealed to me when it was available. Plus Mum never had the money to buy it, with FIVE of us to feed on a sailors pay. I always made sure my children had plenty of fresh fruit. So that's one good thing.
We are debating what to eat tonight. I really don't feel like eating, but can't get a delivery for one meal. They all want a minimum order to get a delivery.I suppose I could order what Ros likes, and put it in the fridge or freezer for another day.
I see Ros has bought more ink for the printer, as it ran out of BLACK yesterday, as I was printing more SONG SHEETS. The copying will have to wait.
See you tomorrow. xxx

Afternoon All Frank, it sounds like you are really suffering with this cold. With all your aching bones it almost sounds fluey.Hopefully you have had the worst of it now and things will start improving.I bet it will take you a good week or so to get over this.
Gill, you have done an amazing job for your neighbour. I can't think that many people would have done what you and OH have done .I think a well desreved rest is in order now :-D :-D
Mandy I would love to have a warehouse where I could go and get all my fruit and Veg like you have.We don't even have a Farmshop anywhere near. In Suffolk there were so many of them. That is a great idea of yours to buy the children their fruit .I bet your Son and DIL really appreciate that as it would cost them a bomb . I see in Tesco here they are still giving away free fruit to children :-D. I had a look yesterday and it is all good and fresh stuff. I often see a little child munching on an apple or a Banana while they sit in the trolley.
Ann,any luck finding your passwords yet? I am sure they will turn up when you stop looking lol. The same with your scissors Mel. You must use them quite often with your craft things. It is so annoying though when you think you know where something is and it has just vanished. Like your lost ring I still haven't found my earring :-S :-S
Well what a late night we had last night. It was 2am by the time we climbed the stairs !!! We had sat around the dining table since 8.30 !!. I slept like a log and didn't actually get up until after 10.30. Chris was up before anyone and had brought me a cup of tea at some point but I never had it .I can't even remember him putting it beside the bed.
Tonight will NOT be a late one.The Turkey is done and the Potatoes are in but as H&G were out for a friends birthday lunch I think they won't want to eat too early. Saying that I have just seen it is 6 o clock so it isn't going to be early anyway. They have gone off for a walk (In the rain).Crazy people. Hannah was going to take him down the lane and across the field at the back of Fitz's house so Gareth can have a peek .
I better get myself moving and back into the kitchen ,although I would rather flop down on the settee LOL I will be doing that later :-D :-D

Still no scissors and I cleaned the banties out in the rain as they had all gone up in their bedroom so I could shut them in while I had the door open. It was just the run I did as it has been a while.
I hav'nt done any more crafting as I had to do the dinner and after looking at the thing I am making I realized I had done wrong stitches so undid it all. Now I am starting again.
I shall buy myself another pair if they still have them in Morrisons.... then the others will turn up. I thought I had already bought a spare pair. I have loads of scissors but these were a favorite.

Morning all
1st October, where has the year gone. White Rabbits, White Rabbits, White Rabbits. That's what we say, here up North, on the 1st of the month. I don't know why or where the saying came from LOL.
Up early today to watch the F1, although we had to pause the beginning so we're not quite live with it. Good race so far, won't say anymore incase those of you that watch it haven't seen it yet.
So you've lost your scissors now Mel? Hope they turn up soon. Did you sort out your crafting in the end? Sandra has used the sewing box, she made her gran an apron.
Yes, Frank the bungalow was in a bit of a state, her daughter had been using it to store some stuff she is selling today, so one room was completely full of boxes and bags, of course the rest of the bungalow was upside down with having to move all the furniture and ornaments, (which she has lots of) out of the room ready for the carpet fitters and us to decorate it, so every room needed sorting out. She's going to finish off the last three rooms today as her friend said she'd come and help her. How are you feeling today, hope you are a bit better?
Both OH and I have woken up with sore throats today, we think it might be all the paint fumes. The daughter of the neighbour said she might have her mum's bedroom decorated at some point, but because her mum is almost 100 years old OH thinks it would be better to do the room before her mum comes home, so he's going to mention it to her today when he gives her the house keys back. It would also be quicker and her mum wouldn't have to breath in the gloss paint fumes. It would only take OH a day and a half to do it, so plenty of time before her mum comes home. That time includes taking the furniture out and putting it back in, which I'll help him with. She's already bought the paint so it makes sense to do it now rather than later.
We're just relaxing today, apart from a bit of food shopping later on this afternoon.
What is everyone else up to today?

Afternoon all,
No better today, my head is swimming and I am sweating like a PIG. (I feel like one also) Had a reasonable nights sleep apart for some coughing bouts.
Ros let me sleep in this morning, but feel no better for it !!! It was my intention to do the dinner for tonight. Which I have done with a few sit down breaks. Only done two veg. Peas and carrots and Cauli. Nice bit of beef tonight. I hope I can eat it. Last night was a disaster regarding meals. I didn't want to eat, so ordered what Ros wanted and paid a surcharge for the delivery. When Ros got it on the plate. The chicken was way over spiced, and caught her throat as she tried to eat it. It was also cold, both rice and Sag aloo. I rang up to complain while Ros was in the bathroom being SICK. The offered £5.00 of the next order, or they would send out another meal NOW. No way was I accepting this, and demanded a full refund for the meal. Which they agreed with .
Ann, you had me dreaming last night about your lost things. HOW ABOUT THIS. I put my Passports, wallet and cheque book on a plate and floated in on a saucepan of stew. When I went to retrieve them, they had sunk to the bottom and were ruined by the stew, thanks a BUNCH. LOL LOL. Have you found them yet ???
You dirty old stop up Jane. It's a wonder you didn't turn into a pumpkin !! How did the Turkey meal go last night, enjoyed by all I hope.
Gill you two are a glutton for punishment aren't you. Not only have you done so much for your neighbour, you are offering to do even more. You are a great pair of neighbours, would you like to move next door to me. LOL LOL.xxx As for what I am doing this afternoon. FIRST sit in the shower, then get shaved, which I haven't done since Tuesday. (FATHER CHRISTMAS) Then it will be getting dressed and sitting in the armchair with the paper and book until I start the dinner. I will leave Ros to do the washing up tonight, and I will do nothing.
Nothing sort of day again today. Rain in the night so everywhere is wet. Cloudy and windy as forecast..
How did the big breakfast go Mel, I hope you enjoyed it. All I have had is two COT I just hope I can eat tonight.
Enjoy the rest of your day girls. xxxx

Sorry to hear Ros was sick after her meal last night. I don't blame you for insisting on a full refund.
So you look like Father Christmas then Frank? Talking of Christmas, the Christmas films have started on Sky, so Sandra has had me recording 15 films that she wants to watch over the next week, then she said she'd love some popcorn to eat while she watches them. OH mentioned to me that Tesco's are selling large tubs of popcorn for £1.75 so he's going to buy her one tomorrow as Tesco's is shut now. She doesn't know he's doing it so that'll be a nice surprise for her. She's going to be so happy this next week isn't she, with her popcorn and films? She loves Christmas......bless her.
Next door's daughter didn't call round for the house keys today so she'll probably be around tomorrow for them, OH is going to mention decorating her mum's bedroom on Tuesday as she has already bought the paint then it'll be sorted for Thursday when hopefully her mum will be home. It's the assessment tomorrow so hopefully the property will pass with flying colours so her mum doesn't have to wait to long to return home.
Yes, Mel Sandra has made some pencil cases for herself as she has lots of felt tip pens and writing pens and I helped her make a bag to put her bit's of material in. How is your crafting going? Have you found your scissors yet?

I'm pleased to say my head in a lot clearer this evening. I have been blowing my hooter all day, and used almost a box of tissues, but it seems worth it.
I did manage a bit of dinner this evening, but not anything as much as I should have. Ros is a bit concerned about how much I am NOT eating. She said "Feed a cold starve a fever". But as I said if I'm not hungry I won't eat.
I am seeing the Doctor Tuesday morning, so will mention about my eating, and see what she thinks.
Mel, This has been almost a week since this B@@@@y cold got a grip, I am due my flu injection Saturday week, so I will be O.K. fr the winter.
The popcorn will make Sandra think she is in the cinema watching her films. I bet she will enjoy them, and will want more whenever she is watching a film !!!
Victoria is on now, and as I said I can't get into it. so will have a look round eBay until I go to bed., that won't be to long either.
Where are the others today ??? See you in the morning. xxx

I have finished the hand sewing bit of what I am making but I think it is too big. I'm not sure I like it now. I will finish it but the ones I saw on the internet were pastel colours and I have done mine in brown.
I'm pleased your feeling a little better Frank. Lets hope you are now on the raod to recovery. They won't let you have your flu jab if you have a cold so make sure to tell them that you have had one. I thought of that saving Ros told you "feed a cold starve a fever" and was going to post that this morning and then forgot.
Gill I have sent you more census and an email.

Good morning Mel and all, Evening Kim.
Thanks Mel, my head is clear this morning, so all that nose blowing has cleared all the nasty stuff. Still got a bit of a cough, and bringing up nasties. But I am sure the worse is over. I also had three attempts before I got on here this morning.
Been to the Dr this morning. She carried out a Prostate check, and getting ready for it I got my trousers caught around my shoes, Ros had to help my get dressed, as there is no room to move behind the curtains. She has also changed my water tablet for a month, so see if that improves on the quickness I need to run when I wan't to go.
It was all change last night, instead of going to bed I watched Nat Geo about Borneo. WHAT A PLACE. Then turned over to Chief inspector Banks, for the first of a two parter. The other I recorded. So not into bed till after midnight. Couldn't sleep so got up at 2.00 until 4.30. Then slept till 9.00.
Ros has a line of washing out, and is DOING some gardening. She just won't have time away from work. !! where as I can look at it, and leave it LOL LOL. There's a good blow out this morning, so the washing should dry in no time, before th rain comes later today.
What are you all up to today. Ann, have you found your documents and USB stick ??

Afternoon All,
Quite a pleasant morning here with a splash of sunshine now and again. I slept well last night but was awake till about 2.00am.
OH Frank, can you still say 'PLUB JAB'!! It sounds a stinker of a cold! I keep telling OH to use antiseptic gel on his hands when he leaves the schools he goes to as they are full of germs. Try a glass of milk if you can't fancy a meal as that is full of nourishment. I think it's a good idea to mention your not eating so much to the doc, especially if you are losing weight too. Keep an eye out for the post this week as I am sending something to you!! ;-)
This morning OH has gone off to one of the regular Clerks' Briefings he attends. This one is at Beaumanor Hall, which is a lovely old place with nice gardens. It's where I went to the Art Deco fair last year. I have been to the printers this morning, then the farm shop and also to get OH some bread. I asked at the farm shop and it looks like their new cafe will be opening in the New Year. I hope there will be more parking made available or it will be hard to find a space.
Gill, are you getting paid for the decorating? It is so good of you to help sort the bungalow and clean up for your neighbour, but I think the offer of some kind of payment for the decorating would be nice. Don't let your OH overdo it will you. It sounds as if Sandra is in 'Christmas Mode' already with all the films she is recording, bless her. She really does love this time of the year doesn't she!! :-D
How are your fingers now Jane, any better?

No I haven't found my USB stick with the documents on yet Frank. :-S I keep thinking of places I might have put it and going and looking!! lol. I even got up in the night once to look somewhere. I expect I shall kick myself when I eventually do find it. I had lists all set up of lots of small savings accounts with the maturity dates in different colours for different years and could see at a glance which I needed to do something with and how much I had with them all. I think I shall have to start from scratch again. I had even recorded going years back what happened with each closed account and had listed the interest details ready to check my tax due this year. What a nuisance and a lesson for the future!!
I have booked my flu jab and shingles jab, but the earliest they could do them is the 30th in the evening. I wonder if it will be one in each arm? Better get on and see if the washing is dry yet. No sign of the puss.

I am really havng trouble getting to the last page to read your post.
O Ann is'nt it sooooooooo annoying when you can't find something that is quite important. Try and think where you might put them if you were going to hide them today. Or do as I do and ask the fairies for them back please? It works for me sometimes. I know it sounds silly but anything is worth a try. Now would you have put them under some clothes in the draws or out in the garage. What were you packing when you went away? May they be there? How about some storage jars? or tucked into a file somewhere?
Must get oh's lunch now. He has king prawns, yuk. I shall have a nice granary roll with ham I think.

Afternoon all
I keep getting the error page, so have only just been able to get on here.
Thanks for the emails Mel. Have you sent me some PM's? It says I have a few, but again, I keep getting the error page, so I don't know who they're off as I can't read them at the moment.
At least I can get onto my tree, so I'll take another look at it later. I had a quick look this morning and managed to add a few more people on OH's side of the tree, so that'll please him when he gets home later.
Good to hear you're finally on the mend Frank. A glass of milk is a good idea if you're off your food.
Hope you find your USB stick soon Ann. You'll probably find it when you've stopped looking and aren't expecting it, probably when you're looking for something else. It sounds like you can remember most of what was on it and although it's a nuisance you can at least do it again.
Just watching a Christmas film with Sandra, it's our third one today. I noticed that the True movie channel has changed today to the True Christmas Channel, that's the one I've been setting up the recordings for Sandra from. She did make me laugh as she said you can check Monday's now for more films. I can only do a week at a time, but because we're now a day ahead of yesterday she wants me to check next week now. You're right Ann, she really loves this time of year.
Well, I'd better get back to the film before I lose track of what's going on. Sandra is sitting eating the popcorn OH bought for her this morning, so she's happy :-)
