Afternoon All Just back from the hospital and the Dermatologist. He was very pleased with how things are going and will see me again in 6 months. He said I could try taking my tablets from Monday to Friday and leaving out Sat and Sun. I will be seeing him on the NHS from now on :-D. I had to smile in the waiting room. There were 2 men in their 70's and one went over to the other and asked if he was so and so .It seemed there were old school mates and boy did they have a good old reminisce. I couldn't make out what school thay had been at ,but I did hear one say that can always say he had the cane in Catherine of Arragon s bedroom LOL . I tried not to look as though I was earwigging :-D That must have been the Headmasters office.
So Frank you got tangled in your trousers !!. Good job Ros was there to catch you and make sure you didn't make a right fool of yourself :-D :-D. I am pleased you seem to be over the worst of the cold now.
Ann, you haven't taped your USB stick somewhere like under a table or something? It has to be somewhere doesn't it.
Sandra will be in her element now Gill with all the Christmas films again :-D :-D. I haven't heard of True Channel. Saying that I see there are so many new ones when I scroll down through the channels.
It is so windy today. I had left the washing basket out by the line this morning and just before I went to the hospital I carried a few more bits out to hang up,and the basket was nowhere to be seen. I found it eventually right down the bottom of the garden !! No rain though so far today.

Evening all,
Not to bad a day ,we saw a little sun and it's been quite windy so all the washing dried well on the line .
Oh dear Ann it's so annoying when you carn't find things and you know it's in the house some where , could you start again so to speak ,get some thing in your hand and think now where shall i hide it while were away ,it might just come to mind where it is ,fingers crossed .
Glad your feeling a little better today Frank sounds as if the worst is over ,you haven't passed it on to Ros have you ?
Gill you want to buy some popping corn and let Sandra make her own popcorn she'll love doing that and it's so easy to do ,they have it in the supermarkets and with all those christmasy films she'll want plenty :-D
So you got on quite well at the hospital Jane ,he must be pleased with you if you don't have to go back for six months . How did the weekend with Hannah and Gareth ? did they like the turkey recipe .
All those poor people shot in America my heart goes out to them .

I'm just watching the news Mandy about the shooting in America, they've just said people can own as many guns as they like and they don't have to have them registered. What a silly law they have in Las Vegas, let's hope they change it now. I was thinking about the popping corn, I'll see if I can find some in Tesco's next time I'm there, like you said, Sandra would enjoy that.
Good news from the hospital Jane and two days of no tablets too. Yes how did the weekend go, did they like the Turkey meal you made? I'm surprised your washing stayed on the line if the wind was strong enough to blow the washing basket down the garden. Good job it didn't blow your smalls into the neighbours gardens LOL :-D :-D :-D The Channel on Sky is called True Movies, but over the few months before Christmas it changes it's name to True Christmas. Movies 24 do the same. A lot of the films they have on there we've seen before, but this year they seem to have a few new ones for us to watch.
I still can't get onto my PM's Mel, was the email you sent me with a list of information on the same as the PM's? Thank you so much for it all, I'll take a proper look tomorrow and add it all to OH's tree. He said to say thank you.

Evening all,
I have just eaten a Tesco Finest "Cottage Pie" with the last picking of Runners from the garden. We can take the netting down now and put the canes away, for next year. We do seem to have had a excellent year for Runners.
Jane I couldn't have embarrassed myself, and the Dr. Wouldn't have been shocked. She had just seen my bare bottom and all that is down there. LOL LOL. She said nothing about the internal inspection so I assume all is well. Good news about your visit. Lets hope you will continue to improve. xxx
This afternoon I watched the 2nd part of DCI Banks. The recording of the new BBC one serial about the army in Aden. (I just missed that in the late 50s.) Then a "Child in this Time" (I think that's what it was called.) by the end of all this, it was time to put the oven on and heat the Cottage pies. Ros has just finished off with a tin of Rice pudding.
Just looked out the back and the sky looks very angry . Light over the back, then the darkest of clouds every where else.
Ros it at hospital in the morning. The ring thing they fitted is starting to move, so needs seeing too. Then she will be off shopping with Carolyn, so I will be "HOME ALONE" most of the day I expect.
Won't be back tonight, so see you all tomorrow. xx
Ann have you found them yet. ??

Bottoms up it was then Frank ;-). That is good she felt nothing out of the ordinary. Hope Ros goes well with the readjusting of the ring tomorrow . Another intimate examination . Isn't it a good thing the Drs think nothing about looking and dealing with all our private areas. It is just is normal for them.
The Turkey meal went down really well. so that is 2 out of 2 for that dish :-D :-D
How can one man kill nearly 60 people and injure over 500 !!!!!!! :-0 :-0 :-0..... Nothing will change with the gun laws in America even after this atrocity :-S :-S :-S

Dreadfull the shootings in America. We watched it on the news lunch time. Oh said they will never change the laws about guns over there. At least they found the man dead in his room.
I went to Holsworthy this afternoon and changed oh's pipe bits I bought a few weeks ago to the right size ones. Now if he fits them I won't be falling over the blasted hose pipe every time I go down to the bantams.
I keep meaning to tell you that I weighed Titch at the weekend and she now weighs 11 and a half ozs is pooing all over the place and over all her bowls and trys to get her bowls in her nest. Sometimes they are upside down. When I line her rate with newspaper she digs it all up into her nest. I am saying "her" because I think it is a little girl. When I weighed her the scoop on the scales I use is clear plastic and when she is in it she uncurls so I put a towel over her and had a look underneath.

How lovely Mel about Titch......she won't be Titch for much longer at this rate. What weight does she have to be for her to hibernate? Will you release her for that or will she hibernate where she is for the winter?
Hope all goes well for Ros in the morning Frank

Morning all,
Lovely sunny day with big clouds here and there but plenty of wide blue sky.
I hope Ros gets on ok at the hospital today and its not too uncomfortable for her. Sending wishes for an easy time. xx
Donkey day and today I have to do both Lidl and Morrisons so its going to take me a while. :-(
I wonder if I should leave it another day and enjoy the sunshine while I can. I have lots of bulbs to plant and some things I dug up from the border to get into pots too.

Morning Mel Morning all
Sunny here to Mel but still quite windy.
It was so windy last night one of our large pots with a 9 foot plant in got blown over onto a smaller plant, this was about 1am so OH and I had to collect large rocks from the bottom of the garden and put them around the base of the pot, thankfully it was still in place this morning and the smaller plant was just bend over a bit and not broken.
I've PM'd you Mel, I finally had access to my messages after getting the error page for days. You have worked hard, OH is very grateful. I'll go through it all today and add it to his tree.
OH is painting the outside of next doors bungalow today and tomorrow ready for her home coming. I hope it doesn't rain. I saw her daughter yesterday but didn't have time to speak as she had to get her mum's place tidy ready for the assessment, so I don't know how the assessment went or when her mum is returning home yet. I'm not sure if her daughter is going to the bungalow today, but I'm sure we'll see her sometime this week.
If I was you Mel I'd do your bulbs before it gets to late in the year. With the weather we've been having lately you might not have a good days weather again for a while. :-)
Going to get a cuppa now, then sort out OH's tree for him. Thanks again Mel. See you all later.

Good morning to all you lovely people, evening Kim.
First let me thank Ann for the print of your walking boots. his is beautiful and the detail sp precise. I will get Ros to get a frame, and it will sit on the wall in front of my Computer. So overtime I sit here it will remind me of your talent. xxx THANKS.
Clear blue sky's here also. I haven't been out, but it looks like we had a heavy dew, the neighbours lawn looks very wet.
I am afraid to say the COLD seems to be staying with me, :-( :-( :-( My head and chest are aching and I'm coughing like a 40 a day smoker. I have even taken to having cough mixture every few hours. It hasn't reached Ros yet so that is good.
Gill, Why I think of it. I know Sandra's not an early bird in the mornings, but if she is up by 8.00 am. There is a programme on SKY ONE called MONKEY WORLD. I am sure she would enjoy it. If Ros and I are up we try to watch it. It might be something you could record for her as I know she likes animals.
Well Ros will be with the NURSE now. I hope she is more comfortable now, than she has been in the last few days. <3 <3 <3
Simon and Sally are hoping call over on Friday to have a few hours with us. Which will be nice. If it's dry, I might ave the cheek to ask him to run a mower over the lawns. Cheeky Monkey aren't I ?? ;-) ;-) ;-)
I was lying in bed last night thinking of Sandra, and me, mentioning about sitting in the cinema with her popcorn. I came into my mind that to go to the Cinema with my mates it was the 1/6d in the downstairs. 2/3d if you took a girlfriend into the upper Circle. What does it cost today. ?? I haven't been for years. !!! I'm talking early 50s. Long before a lot of you will remember LOL LOL
Nice to hear "TITCH" is putting on weight. When will he/she be allowed to fend for itself ??
I see on the news this morning that that guy who killed all those people in Las Vegas, was a multi millionaire , with a property empire, two planes and was a retired accountant. It makes you wonder what makes a person like that, to do what he did. At first I thought it was because of the noise from the concert, but evidently that was the cause. I see he had TEN or more weapons in his hotel room, and over 20 more at his home with other bomb making equipment and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Something must have turned his mind. But we will never know. As was said before, it won't change out there until they change the gun laws. (PIGS MIGHT FLY) !!!
See you later. Dinner tonight is Lamb steaks in mint sauce with Mediterranean roasted vegetables.

Gosh that wind today is chilly. Proper Autumn weather out there.
I have clelaned Titch out and weighed her and she is now 12oz. and getting rather rowdy and out of hand as she has been climbing up the sides of the box so I think it is coming the time to set her free. She is making an awful mess in her box so I think she is almost ready to go free but not today.
How nice of Ann to send you a print of the boots Frank.
I am about to have a toast party, as oh calls it. Its so I can take my pills before going out.

When Ros went out I cut up, cauli carrots, onions, leeks, celery, swede, potato's and put them on to boil. When they were cooked I threw in few small tomato's and left them in the water. I only had one Mediterranean mix left, so added garlic powder, mint, sage and tyme to the mixture. Drained the veg, popped in some olive oil and the powder. Shook the saucepan to cover everything, and put it on a big oven tray. That is now sitting in the oven, with the lamb steaks, ready for tonight.
Even though that took quite a bit of time, I have done nothing since. I did go and check if the lawn was dry enough for a cup, but it's quite damp and my little rotary mower won't be able to handle it. So if it stays dry overnight, I might have a chance tomorrow.
Still coughing and spluttering and half way through another box of tissues.

Afternoon All,
Thank you Frank, that is very kind of you. I left it the size of paper it came out on so you could trim it to the size you want to fit a frame. I'm shocked you got it so quickly though as I only posted it 2nd class yesterday afternoon! Well done, Royal Mail!!! It's good your cold is improving and that you only sound like a 40 a day smoker now!! I bet Ros is glad she hasn't caught it yet. I hope it's not been too uncomfortable for her today.
Yes, what a tragedy the shooting was with so many killed and injured. I think there may have been something wrong with the man for him to do that. No doubt more info will emerge as they investigate.
We have been to the Grantham retail park this morning. I took OH with me as he wanted to look at jackets and belts. We went early to get there as they opened so I could park close to the store. OH found himself a jacket that fitted a treat and had the single vent that he prefers and also a nice black belt so he was well pleased and I got some nice stretchy trousers in a burgundy colour that I like, but don't often see. We had a jacket potato each and then a nice drive past the vale of Belvoir on the way home. OH has a meeting later so has been printing stuff off ready for that.
I have had a scam email offering a refund for TV license which isn't in my name anyway! :-S
It's a good idea to mark little (or not so little!) Titch Mel. Then you can see if she stays around next year. I have lots to do in the garden now to get it ready for the winter, but we are hoping to do some next week so I hope it will be fine. That wretched stick I can't find is still on my mind. Maybe I need hypnotising and they could take me back to just before my holiday!!!! lol. :-D

Afternoon Everyone Just in from the foot clinic and I am ready to trip the light fandago LOL My toenails are so short now and the corners not digging in to the toes :-D. I am really glad I started going there as I will keep it up now. I saw a car knock a cyclist and tipped him off his bike (luckily just onto a grass bank.)So the cyclist was unharmed. But the driver of the car had no idea he had done it and just carried on !!!
Little retail therapy this morning.I went over to Rushden Lakes and bought a nice lightwieght sweatshirt type of top with a pretty flower pattern on the front. I have it on now :-D. Not much else took my fancy .M&S had loads of clothes with 60% off so they must be clearing the way for all the winter stuff now.
Tich is no longer a Titch is he Mel!!!!. My word he has put weight on really quickly.A right little porker LOL
Frank,my tummy started rumbling when I read what you are having for dinner. It sounds so tasty. That post from Ann was quick wasn't it and second class too. I posted a late birthday card to a friend today .It is her birthday today so hopefully it will be there by the morning. It is only going ot Finedon so should be there by then.
Ann you will have to try and stop thinking about this USB stick otherwise you wil drive yourself nuts. It will no doubt show itself when you least expect it :-D
Bit of a grey old day today . No sun much and that was this morning. It is quite blinding in the mornings with it being much lower in the sky now.I certainly feels cooler now too. Our boiler hasn't come on twice now in the last couple of days :-S. Red light flashing ,but it has a new led thing and it doesn't show what number it is so we don't know the reason why it is happening. If it keeps happening it will have to be a call to B Gas.
Chris has just shouted BINS. The black one needs to go out tonight so I best get upstairs and empty the bathroom ones while he does the stinky kitchen one :-D

I meant to say that it is good the dermatologist was happy with you Jane and that it will be nice to have a 'weekend break' from the tablets. Now you have your feet sorted too so things are looking good! :-) I must pop down the road to see what our M&S are selling off...........the new stuff coming in now all looks too hot for me with the long sleeves!
Does anyone else watch the Ambulance prog? I thought someone else did. I was quite shocked to see one person call them 151 times and another 274 times just in a 3 month period! With one person they had to have a police presence there each time too. The sad thing was that the people lived alone and had nowhere else to turn. With what it must cost and taking ambulances away from being sent elsewhere it would seem there must be a better way to deal with these cases. The woman was ringing because she thought she had a virus, but was showing the paramedic a dance she could do when he arrived!!

Ann, I saw that 'Ambulance' prog. The Lady was Josephine and the man Leon. It was so sad really when you think these were two really lonely people who had mental health problems. The Crews that had to keep going out to them were brilliant . You could see they were at their wits end but they had to go each time. Even making Sandwiches ,Cups of tea and tidying up .I take my hat off to them. It is a great programme which really shows what the Emergency Services have to deal with Other than REAL emergencies .
Nothing much in the M&S sale Ann was my taste. Lots of floaty skirts/dresses and Summer tops /wide legged linen trousers. There were rails and rails of clothes. As for the long sleeved woolly tops... I didn't even glance at them LOL . I felt hot just seeing them there !!!
Looking forward tonight to the final of Dr Foster :-D :-D Oooo errr what is going to happen?????

It surprised me the things they had to deal with as well Jane, but I kept thinking of all the others desperately needing that ambulance too. Their call centres had queues of people waiting, how stressful and responsible that job must be. They had to attend each time in case it was a real emergency though. Both should have been in care really and I know that was going to happen with Josephine, but then if people are found to have 'capacity' no-one can make them do anything they don't want to. A very difficult situation for everyone!!
It sounds like I won't have much luck with M&S then!! lol. :-) I shall have to 'make do and mend' as my mum would often say! I would have tons to wear if I lost a few pounds though. :-S
Yes, I can't wait to see what happens in Dr Foster.
We had to top the water up in our gas boiler today (I told OH about it a few days ago but he forgot about it!) Today I told him there were 'lights flashing' and that got his attention. What a game we had getting the wooden cover from under the boiler that covers the pipework etc. This new boiler fits a bit lower than the old one and that seems to be the problem. I think we need to plane the cover down a bit so it isn't such a tight fit which means a search for the planes/files in our overstuffed garage. Good luck with that one OH!!
Gill, did your OH paint the other room then being as he has started on the outside now? He's a fast worker isn't he and between you the place is really getting a spruce up.
I wonder what Mel's OH is making?

Good morning to you all, Evening Kim.
Nothing to report here apart from this B@@@@y cold isn't shifting. I found some VICK inhaler in the medicine cupboard, and started to use that, to help me breath. It had me awake a few times in the night which woke Ros.
I think we are all getting to the stage where we need help with our toenails. I know mine need cutting, and I have the biggest job out getting down to them, so don't do them as often as they should be done.
Ros has had the ring taken out, and has to go back in two weeks. If this continues she might well end up having an operation to secure the bladder. (SORRY) !!!
Like most of these serials, I don't get into them from week to week, even though Dr. Foster was on, I didn't really watch it and the sound was terrible. Most T.V programmes we have the volume on 33. Last night with Dr Foster it was on 58 and it wasn't that loud.
I think I will get showered and go back to bed for a couple of hours as I feel rough. :-( :-(
Hope everyone is well, and enjoy your day. xxx
